We turn the craft over so that it lies with the top of the triangle facing up. And now we raise the edges of the lowered flaps up - flush with the sides of the triangle.

Now lower the edges of the flaps that we just raised again. We raised them only to get fold lines. And now we bend both corners of the triangle (left and right) with a sharp edge to the beginning of this fold line (which we just received). We get the upper triangular ears.

Now you need to raise the corners – those sticking out below the ears. Bend these corners up. And then hide it under the upper ears.

Just the finishing touches to this simple origami paper heart craft. We see that the craft resembles a pentagon with sharp corners on the sides. We need to smooth out these sharp corners and therefore we knead them slightly with our fingers (as shown in the photo of the paper heart).

Now we turn our heart craft over so the front side is up. And we notice that at the bottom, at the sharp tip of the heart, we have a hole. We need to blow into it so that our heart straightens, fills with air and becomes fluffy like an airy soufflé.

No matter how I twisted the module, I couldn’t figure out what to do with it to get picture 4 from picture 3. Thick paper is suitable for the box. Very thick cardboard will be inconvenient to bend and glue, but the packaging will be stronger. Choose the appropriate paper for your heart box.

The box will consist of two parts: the main part and the lid to it.

  1. First, cut out a heart from paper. This will be the bottom. The size must correspond to the size of the gift for which it is intended. When cutting out the bottom of the box, do not forget that you need to provide small pieces around the perimeter of the entire heart, to which the side part will subsequently be glued.
  2. For the “walls” you need to prepare a strip, the width of which will correspond to the height of the box. The length of the strip is equal to the length of the perimeter of the heart.
  3. The strip must be connected to the bottom of the box, gluing it to the parts cut out along with the heart.

The lid to the box is made in a similar way. Only the lid should be slightly larger than the box itself in order to easily close the package. Therefore, the top of the lid must be made several millimeters larger than the bottom. Accordingly, the strip for the sides will be slightly longer, but narrower.

Decorate the box in any way you like. You can cover all the parts with fabric or bright self-adhesive paper in advance.

If the person making the heart is right-handed, it will be more convenient for the two edges to point to the right and the “head” of the paper clip to point to the left. Now you need to visually divide the edge that lies closer to the body in half. The next stage is to make a break from yourself in the middle. It is imperative to ensure that the upper level does not leak down. Otherwise, there is a chance that the paperclip will get twisted and the heart will not work. Well, the final touch remains. We bring the bend to the middle and slightly pull the upper part towards the ceiling.
