This dish was painted on white fired clay with cobalt paint, and covered with glaze on top. When fired, the cobalt becomes a piercing blue, and the translucent glaze becomes shiny.
Why does everyone like Gzhel? How is it different? Yes, first of all - by its color. It is always the same: white and blue. The Gzhel residents themselves like to say that their sky, like nowhere else in Russia, is blue and blue. So they decided to transfer this blue to white porcelain.
Just one paint ... And what an elegant and festive painting turned out to be! (SLIDE 9)
The most favorite pattern is the Gzhel rose.
But the Gzhel craftsmen decorated their products not only with stucco, they began to paint the dishes with blue paint. The dishes turned out to be very intricate and elegant. People fell in love with her, and they began to call her "soft blue miracle."

Gzhel painting- This is an ancient, traditionally Russian art, the origins of which originated in the Russian outback more than 670 years ago.

"Delicate blue miracle - fabulous Gzhel" - this is how people in Russia affectionately called - everyone's beloved, surprisingly decorated ceramics made of snow-white clay. Without a doubt, Gzhel dishes, souvenirs and toys - these unique original works of art - from time immemorial and to this day are highly valued all over the world.

Examples of cookware in the Gzhel style:

Perfection in every detail:

Today we have an excellent opportunity to acquaint the child with the Gzhel painting, introduce him to the primordial Russian art, and even test ourselves in the role of a folk master. The lesson will also help the development of his aesthetic taste, imagination, the ability to draw up a general pattern based on motives.

In general, this lesson is designed for a child 5-9 years old, but in principle, for a change, you can involve a three-year-old baby, without requiring, of course, too precise execution of the painting from him.

It will be just great if you turn on the background for drawing Russian folk songs in special treatment - for children. They can be downloaded from us for free at this link.

Drawing lesson: Fairy Gzhel

We will need:
- album sheets,
- gouache - 2 jars: former and azure color,
- brushes - ideally squirrel-like: thin (No. 2-4), medium (No. 6-8) and thick (No. 10-12),
- the rest: water in a jar, a palette, a soft cloth (to remove excess paint), scissors, a simple pencil and an elastic band (for older children).

Progress:

1) First, consider the most simple elements of Gzhel patterns - dots, strokes and lines.

Try experimenting with color mixing, diluting blue paint with white and getting more and more new shades.

2) Curbs - the simplest ornaments: children need to catch their pattern.

3)Droplets, and their constituent patterns: approaching floristic motives (flowers, plants). It is good to depict petals, leaves and twigs with droplets. The easiest way for children to make droplets is by moistening with a brush.

4) Shadow smear - or "smear on one side" . The peculiarity of such a stroke is that the trace after the brush remains in a smooth color transition - from dark to light.

The secret of this stroke: the correct distribution of paint on the brush - there should be more of it from one edge (from this edge a darker shade will be learned). The brush should be wide (No. 10-12), its shape is a spatula.

In the picture below, you will see the basic types of shading strokes, as well as the sequence for drawing a flower: a blue rose.

So, we made a conclusion. that in their work the Gzhel masters use curls, arcs, nets, stripes, blades of grass, dots. brush strokes with shadow.

And now:

Master class - Drawing a bird in the style of Gzhel:

This bird can only be painted with brushes, or in the last step - where there are thin curls, use a blue gel pen over the dried paint.

Master class - Painting a plate in the style of Gzhel:

For the base, you can use a disposable paper plate.

Or print on a printer and cut out this plate in shape (right-click on the image -> open image -> File -> Print):

Plate-base for painting Gzhel:

Or you can take such a simatic teapot, it is called kumgan.

Kumgan teapot - the basis for painting Gzhel:

Alternatively, you can draw and cut out the blanks for painting yourself from paper - this is easy to do. Examples are in the pictures below.

Children draw - Gzhel:

And finally, maybe it will come in handy for you - as an idea for an ornament or just paint for a child:

(children find Gzhel items in the parcel)

Educator: Tell me, do you have products with such blue patterns at home?

Children's answers:

Educator: Children, we are going on a journey to folk crafts in a blue-blue fairy tale. Why is it called that? Now you will understand for yourself.

I'll tell you a story.

So that's it. In a certain kingdom, in a certain state, not far from Moscow, there is the village of Gzhel. (Slide No. 2) A long time ago, there lived brave and skillful cheerful craftsmen. Once they got together and began to think about how to show them their skill, and to please people, to glorify their land. Thought and thought and came up with. They found wonderful white-white clay in their little corner, and decided to sculpt various dishes out of it and paint it with blue paint of various shades. The Gzhel people themselves liked to say that their sky was blue and blue like nowhere else in Russia. So they decided to transfer this blue to white porcelain. They drew on the dishes patterns of flowers, droplets, stripes, nets.

Each master began to show his skill. (slide №3) One master made teapots: a spout in the form of a chicken's head, and a cock flaunts on the lid.

At the sight of Gzhel teapots, eyes run up. They are very good! (slide number 4)

And this one is completely unusual, unprecedented! It was as if it were made up of two teapots. (Slide number 5)

Another master looked, marveled, but did not sculpt the kettle. He heard a fairy tale about a whale, and made an oil can. (Slide 6) A fabulous city with turrets and churches is sculpted on the whale's back. A good fellow rides on a horse, the dog runs after him. Above the head of the whale is a fountain with curls, and the eyes of the fish are like a rose.

The third master admired this beauty, and he himself came up with an even better one. He made a sugar bowl in the shape of a fabulous fish. The fish smiles, waves its tail, shakes its fins. It turned out to be a wonderful sugar bowl. (Slide number 7)

Gzhel masters are great dreamers. Some of their cups are slender and tall, others look like a small barrel, and others are curly, intricate. And everyone's handles are different. (Slide number 8)

The Gzhel masters of animals and birds sculpted it. (slide number 9) A rooster with a bushy tail, a little mouse, a proud horse and a bully cat is made in an amusing way. (slide number 10) No one is afraid of such a lion. He's a little funny. His mane is like a rose!

They also make watches in Gzhel. (slide number 11) Their shape is not simple, fancy. They are painted from bottom to top with flowers, and the cockerel climbed to the very top of the head. So it seems, now crows: "It's time to sleep!"

Each artist has his own favorite pattern, and each reflects a dear side. (Slide №12) Her grass is silk, her spring flowers and magic mastery worthy of admiration. (Slide №13)

And so it happened that each master made everyone happy with his skill. He taught his children and grandchildren various wisdom so that they would be good masters. Just one paint ... And how smart and festive the painting turned out to be. (Slide number 14)

Educator: Did you like the blue-blue fairy tale?

Children's answers:

Conversation on a fairy tale.

Educator:

What kind of craft is this fairy tale?

What do Gzhel craftsmen make their products from?

What pattern do the craftsmen decorate their products with?

What products did the craftsmen make from clay?

Educator: Let `s have some rest.

Physical education "Flowers"

Our blue flowers bloom petals.

The breeze breathes a little

The petals are swaying.

Our blue flowers cover the petals.

They fall asleep quietly

The head is shaking.

Educator: Children, the group has opened an exhibition "Fairy Gzhel", I invite you to visit it. Consider the products of the Gzhel craftsmen, admire this blue miracle.

(Consideration of handicrafts)

What are Gzhel products for?

Why is Gzhel called blue-blue?

Educator: There is also an unusual tea set at the exhibition. Look at him, only one teapot is decorated with a Gzhel flower. Children, it's time for you to become folk craftsmen and decorate this service with a Gzhel pattern. Only the craftsmen painted their dishes with paints, and you will do it in an unusual way - with the help of plasticine. Today our plasticine balls will come in handy. With their help, we will make a Gzhel pattern on the dishes.

Didactic exercise "Wonderful bag"

Educator: Now you will choose the dishes to decorate. In the "wonderful bag" there are hidden cards on which dishes are drawn. Each of you will take out a card and choose an item from the service that will match the drawing.

(Children choose dishes and sit at tables)

Educator: The pattern on all items of the service must be the same. Consider the pattern on the teapot.

What patterns is the teapot decorated with? (flower and dotted border).

Where is the flower located? (In the middle, on one side of the crockery).

What are the elements of the flower? (Middle and petals).

What do the petals of a flower look like? (On a drop).

The droplet is one of the favorite elements of the Gzhel masters.

Stages of work.

  • Middle of the flower... Take a ball and press (flatten) it in the center of the product.
  • Droplet petals. We make an oval shape from the ball, rolling it out with straight movements of the fingers. Then pinch on one side in a circle. It turned out to be a drop. We place this droplet on the dishes and flatten it.

Educator: Children. How should you arrange the droplet petals around the middle to make a beautiful flower?

  • Border. Flatten the balls around the edge of the pan, placing them evenly.

Educator: Children, where do you get started?

The song "Forget-me-not Gzhel" will help you in your work.

(An audio recording of the song "Forget-me-not Gzhel" sounds)

At the end of the lesson, the children display their work on a table covered with a white tablecloth.

Educator: You painted everything on one subject, and together you got a beautiful, elegant service. Do you like him? The Russian people have a saying "A craftsman and a needleworker brings joy to himself and to people." It's about you. With your work, you have given joy to yourself and the people around you.

What kind of fishery did we talk about today?

Children's answers:

Educator: Listen to the poem about Gzhel. ( The poem is read by a child)

Blue-blue

Roses, leaves, birds,

Seeing us for the first time

Everyone will be surprised.

Miracle on porcelain

Blue drops.

It is called

Just painting Gzhel.

Miracle with blue flowers

With blue petals

With blue flowers

Delicate twists

On white china

Like on a snowy field

From under the white snow

Blue flowers grow.

Really, really

Have you heard about Gzhel ?!

(Presentation "Delicate blue miracle - fabulous Gzhel")

Guys, what is Gzhel?

“Gzhel” today is called a very diverse product: dishes and lamps, decorative vases and small sculptures, even elegant sets of chess pieces. But everything is snow-white ceramics with blue painting. There are only two colors - white and blue, and what a festive Gzhel!

Slide 3 - Slide 7

But how did such dishes appear, where did this folk craft come from? Hear the legend of how blue and white beauty came to be.

It was a long time ago. In some kingdom

in the Russian state, not far from Moscow,

in the midst of the dense forests was the village of Gzhel (Slide 8). Brave and smart, kind and hard-working people lived there. For a long time they made dishes from white clay (Slide 9). Even the name of the village was associated with the word "burn", because clay products were necessarily fired in a kiln at a high temperature (Slide 10). And so they got together one day and began to think how they could better show their skills, please all people and glorify their land. Thought and thought and came up with. We decided to sculpt utensils such that the world had never seen (Slide 11). Each master began to show his skill. One made a teapot: the spout in the form of a cockerel head, and on the lid - a chicken flaunts (Slide 12). Another master looked, marveled, but did not sculpt the kettle. He saw a bull on the street, and sculpted it (Slide 13). The third master marveled at this beauty, and he himself came up with an even better one. He made a sugar bowl in the shape of a fabulous fish. The fish smiles, waves its tail, shakes its fins. A wonderful sugar bowl turned out (Slide 14). We began to think further.

How to decorate such an intricate dish? We went home (Slide 15). They walk along the road and look. And around there is fabulous beauty, blue-blue is spreading: a high blue sky with white clouds, a blue forest can be seen in the distance, a blue smooth surface of rivers and lakes, and white fog spreads above them (Slide 16). So they decided to transfer this blue to white porcelain. And everything that the brush paints becomes blue and cyan.

And flowers, and people, and birds, and grass (Slide 17).

People fell in love with the elegant dishes, and began to call it affectionately "Delicate blue miracle - fabulous Gzhel" (Slide 18). The Gzhel craftsmen glorified their beloved land all over the world, told everyone what skillful craftsmen live in Russia (Slide 19).

Here's a story. But somehow we guys stayed too long.
