A caterpillar made of paper in rings or, as it is also called, from strips of paper is an easy craft for the little ones. But, despite the simplicity, here you can show imagination in the placement of rings, their color, size.

For work you will need:

  • Colored paper of various colors;
  • Green cardboard;
  • A simple pencil, black felt-tip pen, scissors, ruler, glue stick.

Paper caterpillar rings step by step

Since the caterpillar consists of strips of paper rolled into rings, in the first step, cut these strips from colored paper. It is better to choose colors brighter, the caterpillar will be catchy and beautiful. Although you can take only one color, for example, yellow or green, from which you will also get an equally interesting character. Cut into 8-10 strips. Sizes can be any, depending on the desired size of the caterpillar. Based on the size of the sheet on which the insect sits, and the sheet is almost equal in length to standard A4 paper, strips 10 cm long and 2 cm wide were used.

Wrap each strip in a ring and glue the ends together.

Lay out all the rings in front of you as they will later be positioned and cut out a simple sheet of green cardboard, taking into account the length occupied by the rings. If the dimensions of the strips are 10 by 2 cm, then you can safely draw a leaf on the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe paper sheet. If desired, veins can be drawn on the leaf: one in the center and branching from it.

Spread the ring with glue, preferably in the area where it is glued, glue it to the beginning of the sheet. Glue the rest in the desired position.

You can slightly raise the rings in the center, imitating the arching back of an insect, raise half of the body with it, or simply stick it on the sheet in one row.

The caterpillar made of paper with rings is almost ready, glue two thin strips twisted at the ends onto its head to show the antennae. And also draw eyes and a smile with felt-tip pens.

Kids love to create different paper crafts. It gives them pleasure to create with their own little hands an amazing masterpiece. Creativity helps them learn more about the world around them, prepare for school. For example, work from circles - an application in the form of a fairy-tale hero or animal - will introduce you to geometric shapes.

You can make it out of paper. The step-by-step instructions for completing the application are simple - kids in kindergarten can easily cope with such a task. If you look on the Internet for examples of work, you can see that among them there are many options for beginners.

Kids will love the modular application of circles in the form of a funny cartoon character - Cheburashka.

It is easy to make such an application with kids. First, find the pictures that you would like to make from the circles. Animals are very popular. To make such a cute paper animal, you will need:

In kindergarten, crafts can be combined with the study of flowers. Such work involves the independent drawing of circles with a compass, but for children this stage may seem difficult. To make things easier, you can find templates online and print them out. The teacher can help the children draw the outline.

You should have a total of 6 circles. For the body - the largest, for the head - a little less. Four more small ones are for the ears and paws. The master class involves application step by step:

  • First, glue the largest circle - the torso.
  • Glue the head so that it slightly overlaps the body;
  • Glue on the ears and hands. Prepare circles for the legs, and pre-bend in half.
  • Take yellow paper. From it you need to make paper blanks for the face, breast and ears. They are glued on top, on brown circles.
  • Take the pieces for the ears and fold them in half before gluing.
  • It remains to make the eyes. For this you need blue paper. Cut out small circles from it.
  • Make pupils out of black paper.

Let the children draw Cheburashka's nose and mouth with their own hands.

Such paper crafts that you can make yourself will appeal to children. The technique is simple, but interesting, and requires concentration - therefore, such a scheme can be used in creativity lessons in the middle group, for preschoolers.

Arms and legs can only be round. Here you can see other photos in the gallery, and let the kids show a little imagination.

Application “Caterpillar”

For application, you can use a stencil or template. The head can be printed and cut out, or the kid himself will come up with a design and draw facial expressions for the caterpillar. So you can repeat facial expressions and find out the mood of the child.

For application only from circles, there is an interesting example drawing - a caterpillar. It can be simple:
Or complicated - this is best done with children in the preparatory group:
To make a picture, try to use primary colors, without tones or halftones.

Applications from circles and semicircles

If you have already introduced the kids to the geometric figure "circle", it's time to move on to other, more complex ones. Tell them that there are also semicircles that are easy to make on your own - just make a circle and bend it.

The purpose of the lesson is to teach the child:

  • distinguish a circle from other geometric shapes
  • use scissors
  • complete the job
  • fantasize and develop logical thinking

To perform the application with a preschool child, you need to prepare:

  1. Colored paper, blanks for the application will be made from it.
  2. Thick cardboard - will serve as the basis for the work.
  3. A glass, it is useful for drawing circles.
  4. A simple pencil for drawing circles.
  5. Scissors with rounded ends. These scissors are great for teaching your child to cut out shapes on their own.
  6. Glue - a pencil for collecting applications.

Application from circles and semicircles Caterpillar

We choose a caterpillar for the first lesson. For its manufacture, only circles are needed. This will help the child remember the distinctive features of the circle.

Help your child draw a circle using the glass. Let him try to cut the blank on his own. If he fails, draw and cut out the rest of the details yourself. No need to insist that from beginning to end the work was done by a young creator. Be sure to use the blank that the child cut out in your work, so you will not discourage the child from the desire for the application.

Such a caterpillar may be different in its execution. Let the baby stick the circles on the cardboard, correcting in cases where the circles are spaced very far from each other. Provided that the circles are overlapped, do not move them, but try to comment.

  • When shifting circles in the head and neck area, say that the caterpillar is frightened and wants to appear smaller. Fantasize with your child about what could scare her.
  • When shifting the circles of the torso, assume that she is crawling.

Tell your child how to draw eyes and a mouth. If the child is not happy with the result, keep imagining what happened to the caterpillar. She ate a sour berry or crawled onto a sharp stone.

And you can complement the application of colored circles by decorating the caterpillar with flowers and legs, if your baby decides to arrange the circles in one row.

Applications from circles and semicircles: ideas

When making an application from colored paper with a small child, try to use the four primary colors; red, blue, green and yellow. You don't need to use semitones. Cut out circles of different diameters and offer the child a choice of several pictures.

Clown

In this work, semicircles and a triangle are added. They are cut from a circle folded in 4 layers.

Bullfinches

They are made from circles, semicircles and corrugated circles.

Astronaut

Made from foil. Glue you need to take PVA. The work also used strips.

Flowers

This kind of drawing for kids is a good way to express yourself with the most imagination. Flowers can be made from small circles or semicircles, which can be obtained in two ways:

  1. Cut the circle in half
  2. Bend the workpiece in half and glue in one slice, the second will remain unattached.

Thin colored paper gives many possibilities. It can be twisted on both sides with scissors to get a voluminous petal with a corner.

And you can fold the blanks into modules. Such flowers are "fluffy".

There are many opportunities for children to express themselves with paper and scissors.

Modular application is a very time-consuming task. A modular application of circles allows you to make beautiful applications in less time.

A few video ideas for applications for the seasons

Among paper crafts, one can single out those where there is a diagram, and you need to go through the algorithm in order to make a postcard or a toy with your own hands. And there are such crafts where you can come up with a plot yourself and create any figure based on pre-prepared parts from colored paper.

For example, an application of circles and semicircles allows you to awaken the imagination of children and create real conditions for children's creativity. Such applications can be done in any kindergarten group - in the younger group, simple drawings of 2-3 parts, and in the middle and older ones - from circles of different sizes and semicircles.

What little animal known to children is well suited for application from circles? Of course, centipede. You need to cut out several circles, the sizes of which are slightly different from each other. Then the impression of volume is created. The circles are glued sequentially, and then the muzzle is drawn and do not forget about the mustache!

Elephant applique from circles

This MK is very simple, and of course, accessible to beginners.

We will need:

  • sheets of colored paper - the color is up to you, but it is better to choose shades of gray and dark blue;
  • cardboard A4 for the basis of the application;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • shape for circles and semicircles.

The step by step instructions are very simple. The main thing is to prepare cardboard forms in advance, according to which children can circle circles and make an application.

This modular circle appliqué consists of 4 elements:

  • belly - the largest circle;
  • head - 1.5 times smaller;
  • ear - slightly smaller than the head;
  • legs and nose - 2 times smaller than the head.

All elements of the picture are circled and cut out of paper. Next, the eye and tail are glued and finished. You can add paper palm trees, the sun and any other tropical theme to the card so that the elephant does not get lonely.

In such a postcard, it is important to take into account the background - for example, you can use bright orange cardboard to create a real tropical effect.

We make the application "Parrot"

Continuing the tropical theme, you can invite the preparatory group to make a handsome parrot. The description of the detailed instructions is clearly visible in the figure.

  1. First, all the elements are cut out step by step along the contour in size, as shown in the photo.
  2. Then the head is glued along with the eye and beak.
  3. Then a multi-colored tail is glued onto the cardboard - by the way, it can be made from seven semicircles to make a rainbow.
  4. A belly is glued over their head and tail.
  5. The last line is for the wings.

Advice! In kindergarten, you can make a whole picture on a large sheet of drawing paper with parrots of different colors. Then it is better to supplement the panorama with a large tree, which is drawn in advance. Get a real tropical forest!

Fish from circles in applique technique

It is always interesting for preschoolers to make different animals with their own hands. For example, you can create a fish application. You can create a picture yourself or download and print it from the net. The highlight of the composition is that this is already a real 3D application - ponytails and plants are made from circles folded in half, which provides a relief effect.

Advice! You can do teamwork by creating a large picture of "Fish in the Ocean". A large sheet of drawing paper will serve as a sea in which children will place many different fish, including gold ones - you can make a wish!

Another very original version of the application for children on the theme of "fish" is to use paper plates as a stencil, which you can color and glue the eye and fins to them. It turns out not just an application, but a real toy with which kids can play for hours on end!
