7. After the hat has already begun to resemble a hat, it's time to take up the scissors again and trim its top a little. This step is necessary so that the beanie sits better, and does not resemble the “cockerel” familiar to many since the happy childhood.


8. Fold the hat, as in the photo below, and glue the edges of the formed “eight”.

7. After that, the cap must be folded so that the side seams are in the middle (see photo 8). Now you need to sew the upper part, indicated in Photo 7 by a dotted line.

After that, all the above steps must be performed with the lining material. For example, fleece can be used for this purpose. It is very soft, warm and pleasant.

8. Insert the lining inside the workpiece and secure the joined edges with pins without stitching (Photo 6).

9. Braids for a hat can be made from the sleeves of a sweater. Accordingly, for two braids, you need to prepare three strips each and braid, after connecting them at the top. Having made weaving, the strips are also sewn together, leaving tails (see Photo 7–10).

It should be noted that the length and width of the braids must be chosen, taking into account your own preferences and the purpose of the cap. For example, a long version is suitable for an adult, while a short version is suitable for a child.
