  • a sheet of white cardboard;
  • red and white velvet paper or corrugated cardboard;
  • felt-tip pens;
  • cotton wool;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Procedure:

  1. To make a greeting card, a sheet of white cardboard is folded in half along the long side. This blank will be the basis of the craft.
  2. A fur coat, hat, boots and mittens are cut out of red velvet paper according to a template prepared in advance by an adult assistant.
  3. Cotton wool is disassembled into small balls. This activity will help your child develop fine motor skills and perseverance.
  4. A face is drawn on a cardboard blank. Then the fur coat and hat are glued on.
  5. With the help of glue, cotton balls are placed on the hat and fur coat in the form of an edge. Important! For this work, it is better to use PVA glue, which is applied to small areas with a brush. This will make the craft look cleaner and reduce the amount of glue used.
  6. At the end of the manufacture of crafts, mittens and boots are glued into place.

Optionally, the card can be decorated with sequins and cotton balls, with the help of which depict snow and drifts.

Curly new year card

A variant of a simple craft - The gift is a silhouette of the head of the main character of the New Year holidays. To create it you need to prepare:

  • white cardboard;
  • red, black and white paper;
  • felt-tip pens;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

To create a card, start by cutting out a white cardboard base. It looks like an inverted ice cream cone. Two small black circles and one larger red circle are cut out of colored paper. These will be the eyes and nose, which are glued to the base from the round side of the workpiece. If it is difficult for a child to cut out circles, then they can be drawn using felt-tip pens.

A hat is cut out of red paper to the size of the triangular part of the template and glued to the base. A circle and an oval made of white paper are glued on top, the edges of which are cut in the form of a fringe. The oval is glued to the base of the cap and placed on the sharp end of the cap.

White paper is cut into strips 1 cm wide and 10 cm long. They need about 20-30 pieces. Stick the strips on the base in the form of a beard. After drying each strip wound on a pencil.

The result is a beautiful craft with an element of volume, which can be used as a postcard, Christmas tree decoration or interior decoration.

Bulky paper crafts

You can make Santa Claus out of paper with your own hands not only in the form of a flat applique, but also give it volume.

Paper strip toy

For making a simple voluminous crafts you will need the following details:

  • 11 strips of red paper measuring 1 * 10 cm;
  • 10 strips of paper of the same color 1 * 15 cm;
  • 1 piece of white paper in the form of an elongated round arch measuring 2 * 7 cm;
  • 2 oval white details (mustache);
  • 2 small white ovals (sleeve edges);
  • 1 small red circle (nose);
  • 1 cotton ball.

You will also need scissors, a glue stick, a special quilling tool or a rod for work.

Two balls are assembled from strips of red paper glued together in the form of rings. The large ball will become the body, to which a small ball (head) is attached with glue.

The face and beard are made from white paper. The long part of the arched piece is cut into a narrow fringe. It is curled with a quilling tool. On the free side, draw the eyes and nose. A mustache cut from ovals is glued to the face.

A red strip measuring 1 * 10 cm is cut in half. Having folded two parts, mittens are cut out with small scissors. A small white oval is glued to each mitten. The resulting hands are glued at the junction of the spherical parts.

At the end of the manufacture of crafts, a cotton ball is glued in the head and a thread is fixed on which the craft is fixed on the tree.

Craft from scrap material

Species Christmas crafts a lot of paper. You can make the protagonist of the winter holidays from scrap materials that can be found in every home: a toilet paper sleeve; cotton wool; red, white and black paper; ready-made eyes and nose. And also you need to prepare scissors, PVA glue, a brush.

A rectangle is cut out of white paper. Its length is equal to the diameter of the sleeve plus 1 cm, and the width should be greater than the height of the base by 1-1.5 cm. The rectangular figure is coated with glue, does not reach 5-7 mm to the edge, and is attached to the base. The free ends of the paper are cut in the form of teeth, covered with glue and folded inside the sleeve.

A red rectangle is glued to the white base, the length of which is equal to the length of the white figure, and the width is 2/3 of the height of the base. This part is glued to the base. A strip of black paper is glued onto a red background - a belt that is decorated small button.

A semicircle is cut out of red paper, which is folded into a cone and glued to the base from the white side. A large cotton ball is attached to it from above. The joint of the red cap and the white face is pasted over with small cotton balls.

Eyes and nose are glued to the front of the figure. Cotton balls in the form of a beard are glued around them.

This craft can be used as Christmas decorations or a detail for interior decoration.

Quilling is a common technique for making paper crafts. It allows you to create beautiful flat and voluminous crafts. To make a figurine of good winter wizard, you will need a minimum set of materials and tools:

  • strips of paper of red, white, black, beige, pink colors 0.7 cm wide;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • ruler with round holes;
  • quilling tool.

A thick roll is made from a long strip (two strips of standard length are glued together) of red paper using a curling tool. Then it is pulled out in the shape of a cone and coated on the inside with glue.

2 strips of white paper cut fringed... One strip is glued to the bottom of the cone. Another fringe will adorn the cone along its height.

From two standard strips, two small cones are folded, pasted over their bottom with a fringe of white paper and glued to a large cone on both sides at an equal distance from the vertical white fringe.

The head of the figurine is assembled from two low cones twisted from beige paper. A piece 2 mm wide is cut from one beige strip and twisted into a tight roll. It is glued in the center of the ball head. A pink long strip 2 mm wide is cut in half, two rolls are twisted and glued next to the central one. Small eyes are glued above them.

The hat is a red paper cone pasted over with a white fringe. It is coated with glue and glued to the head. A pom-pom on a hat is twisted from a white ribbon, the edges of which are cut into small fringes. With a drop of glue, it is fixed on a paper structure.

The two parts of the figure are connected together with glue.

The base of the craft is a 3 mm wide roll of white paper. Its length depends on the diameter of the large cone. The base is coated with glue and connected to the main part of the toy.

The craft is complemented with paper loops, the width of which is 5 mm. They stick in place of the beard and hair. As a mustache, two drop-shaped parts are glued. They are formed from white stripes twisted into a free roll.

Such a figure can become part of the New Year's composition or a Christmas tree toy.

Origami crafts

Origami is a technique of folding various paper shapes. There are many origami techniques. The simplest ones allow you to perform simple work even for babies. Crafts made using the modular origami technique are suitable for older people. Santa Claus, made using origami technique, is an original gift for the New Year holidays.

Origami Santa Claus made of paper

Making a small figurine is a fairly straightforward process. For work you will need:

  • a sheet of one-sided colored paper of red or blue color;
  • black and red markers.

The assembly diagram for this craft is very simple. The main condition is to use paper with a white back.

Take a rectangular sheet of paper, put it on the work surface with the white side up. Its short side is connected to the long one so that the colored part forms an isosceles triangle. Excess paper is cut off.

The resulting square, white side up, is placed in front of you. The fold line is vertical. The right and left corners are folded symmetrically to the center line. The folds are gently ironed to create a two-tone figure.

An acute angle is bent upward from themselves. Its top point is at a distance of 1/3 of the white right angle. For small children, this point can be marked with a simple pencil. To do this, divide the white part of the figure with a ruler into three equal parts and mark the upper segment with a pencil.

Turn the workpiece over with the colored side up. First, the white corner is completely folded back. Then it is returned to its original position. 1 cm recede from the resulting line and repeat the fold. The bent corner should line up with the center line. A strip 1 cm wide is also folded towards itself.

The figure is turned over again and the free corners are folded along the lateral line. To fix the craft, the junction of the corners is glued together.

The figure is turned over and, with the help of felt-tip pens, the eyes and nose are drawn. A beard and mustache can be made from a piece of paper left at the beginning of work: it is divided into strips and cut into a fringe. A paper fringe is glued in place of the beard and mustache.

Modular origami technique

Making crafts from paper triangular modules will require accuracy, patience and attention from the master.

To complete the craft, you will need a lot of triangular modules (250 red and white modules and 25 pink triangles). The size of the modules depends on the desired size of the craft. Most often, rectangles are used in size 1/16 of A4 sheet.

Detailed diagrams of crafts are distributed in large numbers on the Internet. There you can also find video tutorials on assembling paper modules and figures from them.

The first three rows of the figure are its base. They are assembled from 25 white modules each, closed in a ring and turned inside out.

The fourth row consists of 25 red modules, which are located with the long side forward.

Starting from the 5th row, which also consists of 25 elements, they begin to make a beard. To do this, collect a ring of 22 red and 3 three white modules. In the next 4 rows, the number of white modules is increased by one element. Moreover, their total number remains unchanged.

Ring 10 is made of 25 white triangles.

From the 11th to the 14th row, the face of the figure is performed. One red element is added to the 11 ring, which is located clearly in the center figures. Scheme of the next row:

  • two white elements in the center;
  • on each side of them there are 2 pink parts, which are inserted with the short side in front;
  • the rest of the ring is made up of white modules.

Rows 13 and 14 consist of 25 pieces, of which 7 and 8 pink pieces will be inserted with the short side forward.

Rows 15 to 18 make up the wizard's hat. Rings 15 and 18 are composed of white modules (22 and 9 elements, respectively). Two red rows are inserted between them, collected from 20 and 18 elements. The technique of reducing the number of modules is described in many workshops on the manufacture of modular figures.

Hands made of 9 red and one white modules are attached to the resulting figure.

The craft is ready. It can be presented as a souvenir by treating it with glue and varnish. A child can be presented with a figure without gluing, which can be disassembled and made up of its elements into another interesting craft.

Good time, dear friends!

Any Christmas tree should have a sweet Santa Claus under it, who will bring gifts to children on a fabulous night. Therefore, if you do not have it yet, then hurry up to make it out of colored paper! It won't take you long.

Necessary materials:

  • double-sided paper in red, yellow and white;
  • stationery glue;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • plastic eyes.

Stages of making Santa Claus:

  1. Draw a semicircle on a red sheet of paper. It is from it that we will make the body of Santa Claus.

  1. Cut out a semicircle along the outlined lines to create a body in the form of a cone.

  1. We twist the cut out part into a cone. We glue the edges with glue.

  1. We will make the character's face out of yellow paper, but you can use peach, cream or pale pink paper. Cut out and matched paper circle.

  1. Apply a small amount of glue to the yellow circle and glue it to the red cone. We give a little time for the details to connect.

  1. In the meantime, we will prepare other elements of the craft that should be cut out of white paper. This is a beard, mustache and bangs.

  1. We glue the parts one by one.

  1. In a small gap between the bangs and mustache with a beard, glue the plastic eyes. If you have a black marker with a fine tip and a silver gel pen, you can add graying and sparkling frost to your white beard, mustache and bangs.

  1. We continue to create a New Year's craft and now we will make a white pom-pom for the hat and hands. They will consist of two elements - sleeves and gloves. Cut the sleeve out of red paper, and the glove (or mitten) out of white. Let's complement the mitten with a New Year's pattern in the form of a snowflake. For the pom-pom, you need white paper, from which we cut out a wavy element.

  1. We glue the pom-pom to the top point of the craft.

  1. Then we connect the two parts of the hands together.

Modular origami Santa Claus - master class

We will need: sheets of A4 paper: blue - 14 pieces for 211 modules, white - 13 pieces for 207 modules, pink - 1 sheet for 17 modules.

We divide each sheet into 16 rectangles, from which we will make modules.

Step one. Bend the rectangular sheet in half lengthwise. With the help of one more fold, outline the middle line.

Step two. Bend the edges of the folded rectangle to the middle, as shown in the photo. Turn the part over and bend the bottom edges up.

Step three. We fold the corners, bending them over the large triangle, and then we bend these corners inward. We bend the resulting shape in half - so we have learned how to make a module. Now, in the same way, we make the required number of modules, indicated above, from the rest of the paper.

Step four. We start making crafts. We take 5 white modules and place them, as in the photo (we place the module of the upper row with the smaller side up). Next, we collect a chain of 3 rows of white modules. Each row consists of 25 pieces.

Step five. We close the chain in a ring and turn it over. Next, we perform 3 rows with blue modules. From the seventh row we make a beard. To do this, insert 2 white modules with the smaller side out. Insert the rest of the blue modules of the 7th row as usual.

Step five. In the 8th row we fix 3 white modules, as usual, with the long side, the rest of the modules are blue. With each next row, add one white module on each side of the beard.

Step six. In row 11, we insert one red module in the middle of the beard - this is the mouth. The 12th row consists of white modules. We put them on blue modules with the smaller side outward, on white modules (beard) - with the long side, as usual. In the 13th row, opposite the red module, we dress white with the long side outward, and 2 pink modules each with the smaller side (see photo).

Step seven. In the 14th row, we put on 6 pink modules with the smaller side, and we put on the white modules as usual. 15 row - we put on 17 white modules and 8 pink ones. In rows 16 and 17, we put on all white modules with the smaller side out - this is a hat.

Step eight. The last 18th row consists of blue modules with the smaller side out. We collect hands from 3 white modules and 5 blue ones. We glue the finished eyes and insert the spout (detail of the children's mosaic). Santa Claus made of paper using the modular origami technique is ready. We hope that after studying the master class, the Snow Maiden will appear next to your Santa Claus, made in the same technique.

      Various applications with Santa Claus in children's crafts for a competition in a kindergarten or school are also relevant. Video master class with application for the new year with the child.

      I will offer a few more options.

      1) The wall-mounted version, it is easy to make with the child, and the beard options can be any, not necessarily glued rings, just cut paper:

      2) Here's an option, you will need ... the middle from the rolls of toilet paper:

      3) Print on a color printer or just redraw and color, then collect:

      4) I like this option more than anyone, so original and at the same time easy:

      5) Graceful origami with Santa Claus, it turns out plump like this:

      6) Another option with origami, this time talking Santa Claus:

      7) Here is a master class on how to make origami of such a Santa Claus, it seems to me that this one is the most similar to our, real Santa Claus:

      Do Santa Claus made of paper easy enough. To do this, fold a piece of paper (white) with a cone, cut it with scissors where necessary and glue it. The cone that we get should be stable. Next, let's draw Santa Claus with felt-tip pens or paints eyes, mouth, nose, cheeks, hat and hands. And from paper we glue the eyebrows, hair, beard and fringe to the fur coat. Next, cut out the fringe from the paper and glue it to Santa Claus's hat. Let's paint Santa's sheepskin coat with snowflakes. As a result, you will get Santa Claus, as in this photo:

      Or the second version of paper Santa Claus... Let's print the picture attached below. Next, we cut out the parts of Santa Claus, sognm and glue it, as in this diagram:

      It's easy to make Santa Claus out of paper. For example. you can use this lesson here and make Santa Claus.

      To make it, you only need a sheet of paper (on one side the paper should be red, and on the other - white) and scissors. Cut out a rectangle, then put the sheet in front of you so that one of the sharp sides is looking at you, then fold the sides as shown in Figure 2. At the next stage, fold the corner with the opposite corner and turn the craft over (Figure 4).

      An excellent option for making Santa Claus out of paper with your children. You will need red cardboard, white paper, paints or pencils, some cotton wool or foam, glue, and scissors. To begin with, we take red cardboard and make a cone out of it, this is our future hat. We decorate the cone at the top and along the edge with cotton wool, just glue it on the glue. Next, we take cardboard of yellow, white or beige color and again make a cone, but larger in size than the red one (cap), this will be our Grandfather's body. Now draw with a pencil the outlines that will separate the face and clothes. Paint the bottom red, and draw eyes and cheeks on the face. You can make a beard out of paper, cut it into strips, or glue cotton wool. On the hem, collar and along the body we glue cotton wool again. We draw hands, cut out and glue them to the body. By the way, you don't need to glue cotton wool, you can just paint it with white paint, but with cotton wool, the craft will look more beautiful.

      They are all pretty easy to make. You can also try Santa Claus from origami modules. It will turn out something like this.

      Of course, such work will require much more effort and time, but such a souvenir can be presented to someone for a holiday.

    Time goes fast. And the closer to the New Year, the more it is gaining momentum. So much more needs to be done to take stock of the outgoing year and prepare for the next one ... My six-year-old son has asked me not for the first time when will we decorate the tree. Soon, I answer. And I propose for the time being to practice on his own miniature Christmas tree, which he does, and more than once. Yes, we have yet to learn patience)))

    In general, everything is ready for the installation of the Christmas tree - there is the New Year's beauty itself, and the toys ... And under the Christmas tree branches we have the main attribute of the holiday - Santa Claus, made of cardboard.

    Albina Zinovieva shared with me and with all the readers of KARTONKINO the idea of how to make Santa Claus with your own hands from cardboard.

    Strictly speaking, one cannot do with cardboard, we also need some fleece and synthetic winterizer, watercolor and scrap paper (which, however, you can choose any suitable alternative), white acrylic paint and even ... a pinch of salt. And of course - tools (scissors, thread with a needle) and glue. Such is the "porridge from the ax")

    In general, we will make Santa Claus from what is at hand. And if you happen to have cardboard sleeves from rolls of toilet paper that you prudently did not throw away in the hope that someday they will be useful, then now is the time to remember about them.

    So, the sleeve is on the table. Let's get started)

    First, we will make a bottom and a lid from designer cardboard (but you can also from ordinary one). We will measure the diameter of the sleeve and cut out the corresponding blanks.

    By the way, if you have a lot of stress with stocks of cardboard bushings, a cylinder for the body of Santa Claus can be made from cardboard yourself. I showed how to calculate the dimensions of parts and draw templates in a graphic editor, using the example of round boxes. See if this might come in handy.

    We glue the bottom and glue the lid.

    Cut out the details of the physiognomy drawn by hand (or in Photoshop) from watercolor paper. Lightly tint the edges with a stamp pad.

    We glue all the parts together and glue the resulting structure to the cylinder.

    The spout is made of a small piece of padding polyester, gathered in a circle on a thread, and glued.

    To give the effect of "snowiness" of the beard, you can apply white acrylic paint along its edges and then, while the paint has not dried, sprinkle the beard with fine salt, shake it and wait until it dries.

    To make the cap, cut out 2 triangles from red fleece with a base equal to the diameter of the cardboard cylinder.

    We sew them together and turn out the cap. And from a small piece of padding polyester, just like the nose, we make a pom-pom, and sew it to the edge of the cap. After that, the cap, lightly stuffed with padding polyester, put it on the lid, gluing it to the glue-moment.

    Decorate the cap with a strip of white fleece. Or you can replace the fleece with New Year's tinsel.

    And finally, the final touch is the fashionable buckle belt. Cut out the belt itself from colored paper with curly scissors and glue it to the "body". We also cut out a small square along the width of the belt with a small window and glue it on top.

    That's it, now you can show off:

    Such a craft is a great reason for joint creativity with children. And on the eve of the New Year, our Santa Claus made of cardboard will help make it easier for the child to wait for the main moment by "presenting" him with a small but pleasant surprise.

    We wish you a cheerful New Year mood!

    And see you again in KARTONKINO !
