Don't use the same foundation all over your face. On the T-zone, it is better to use veils, fluids, bb- or cc-creams. But the cheekbones, temples, chin and face oval can be covered with a denser product. If there are no imperfections on the cheeks, cover with a medium-density foundation.

6. Choose the perfect tone

To make your choice 100% accurate, apply three foundation shades to the middle of your cheek. Move a meter and a half away from the mirror and choose the tone that is not visible on the cheek from such a distance.

7. Shade wisely

The only correct way to blend the foundation is from the center to the periphery. Start at the bridge of the nose, moving towards the tip of the nose, then from the bridge of the nose to the top line of the forehead, then from the middle of the forehead to the temples. Then from the bridge of the nose along the top of the cheeks to the cheekbones and from the bridge of the nose along the wings of the nose, from the nasolabial region to the chin.

8. Don't forget about ears and neck

With the same blender or brush that you blend the tone over the face, go over the neck and ears. No makeup looks natural if the ears, face and neck are different shades.

9. And again about the neck

Look at the skin of your face and neck in even daylight. Many have a lighter neck than their face, as they are less exposed to sunlight. If this is your case, you will have to get a separate foundation for the neck and carefully blend the border between the shades.

10. Always apply concealer on your eyelids.

11. Check the light

Ideally, you need to paint under the same lighting in which you are going to be, that is, for exposure to the sun - with a bright and directed from top to bottom, for the office - with normal daylight, for the evening - with electric. If that isn't possible, try an illuminated tabletop mirror or take some basic supplies with you to fix your makeup on site.

12. With or without oil?

For oily and combination skin, water-based products are suitable, and for dry and sensitive skin, oil-based products.

13. Ambulance

If you have a pimple, and there is no suitable concealer, take a regular foundation, drop on the problem area, wait 3-5 minutes and blend a little.

14. Shine

If your skin is too dry, which makes your face look tired and too dull, drop any face oil on the sponge and lightly touch the skin. Get a natural glow effect!

15. Mix textures


If you can't find the perfect cream in texture and shade, feel free to mix different ones! Dense tone can be diluted with moisturizer, matte tone can be diluted with a radiant primer.

16. Warm-cold

When choosing a foundation, pay attention to whether you belong to a cold or warm color type. How to find out? Easily! If you think that jewelry made of yellow metals suits you more than white jewelry, you have a warm color type. If white suits you, you have a cold color type. Finally, take a look at the wreaths on your wrist. If they are greenish, the color type is warm. In all other cases, it is cold. If you cannot unequivocally answer these questions, then your color type is neutral, you can afford both warm and cold shades.

17. Brush or sponge?

If you have enough time to blend the tone, use a brush: it distributes the foundation on the skin more delicately and efficiently. If you are in a hurry, a sponge is better, since it will not leave streaks of hairs, as will happen with a brush if you use it in a hurry.

18. Hide the fluff


The barely noticeable thin downy hairs that each of us has should not be emphasized, so always apply foundation in the direction of hair growth, and not against.

19. Neat with shadows


Falling off, they will spoil your hard-won skin tone! Either use special patches to protect the area under the eyes, or ... start with eye makeup and smooth the skin after that.

20. Fix

The final touch to your makeup should be light brush strokes with loose powder or fixing spray. Now the makeup will stay with you all day!
