New Year's card from colored paper and cardboard. Volumetric New Year's card. Master class with a photo. Combination of several different textures

Hello dear blog readers Life Hand Made! Continuing the pre-New Year theme, I propose to learn how to make postcards for the new year with your own hands.

And, you know, friends, I am waiting for an answer more son! It seems to be a grown woman ...

But I believe that miracles happen to those who believe in them!

So, we are waiting for a miracle and I will definitely show you!

Look, there are original ideas in there.

When making a postcard, various materials at hand are used.

For example, buttons.

A New Year's greeting card does not have to be made of expensive materials.

Simple DIY New Year cards made of paper and cardboard

It is very simple to depict a Christmas tree from a paper semicircle.

Step by step instructions are included.

DIY volumetric postcards for the New Year: schemes

Look at the photo how several paper rectangles turn into a voluminous Christmas tree!

Even a kid can do such simple but interesting crafts!

Here is another interesting volumetric tree.

It is made of squares of paper of different sizes, folded like an accordion.

New year clamshell card

To make such a card, you need to take a sheet of cardboard and a sheet of paper.

Fold the paper in half, make wavy cuts, then glue it to the cardboard along the contour of the resulting image of the Christmas tree.

Only the tree needs to be bent in the opposite direction.

It's so easy to get a clamshell.

Postcard mitten for the new year: an example of design

Very nice postcards come in the form of mittens.

The mitten can be double, and you can put a paper lace snowflake in it.

How easy it is to make different ones, I already wrote.

You can even make a snowflake for such a postcard.

The mitten itself is easy to draw and cut, but you will have to tinker with the snowflake.

But the result is worth it!

Christmas tree - a classic version of a postcard for the new year

One of the main themes for New Year's cards and drawings is a decorated fluffy forest beauty Christmas tree.

I found on the Internet here such a simple version of a postcard.

To create such a Christmas tree, you will need rectangular patterns.

Houses - beautiful cards for the new year

Another interesting design of New Year's cards is obtained in the form of houses.

The houses look very cozy even in the form of applications.

And it is easy for children with their wonderful imagination to imagine that fairy gnomes live in that house, who help Santa Claus prepare gifts for the children for the holiday.

These are the unusual little postcards!

It seems to me - very nice and easy to perform!

Scrapbooking cards happy new year: ideas and photos

Scrapbooking is the skill of making and designing photo albums and photo frames, as well as postcards.

One of the design options for postcards using this technique is shown in the pictures.

As you can see, everything is simple. It is necessary to take scraps of gift wrapping, wind colorful tubes of different sizes from them and glue them to cardboard.

Interesting card ideas for the new 2019 year: cute pigs

Pigs in postcards and in the home decor of the New Year's theme, on the windows, for example, are very relevant, because they will be a symbol of the upcoming 2019.

Such beautiful piglets are obtained if you have a pink button and a couple of beads.

You can even make a 3d postcard.

By the way, the coming year will be exactly the year of the Yellow Pig!

And this symbol is pretty easy to draw.

Children's pictures - brightly decorate.

Postcards are very cute and funny!

And finally

Are you inspired by my article on New Year's Cards?

I hope you have a thirst for creativity!

2018 is coming to an end, the last month of December will begin very soon, perhaps a snowball will fall and the whole city will shine with decorated Christmas trees and garlands!

And the mood from a dull autumn will turn into an impatient fussy.

Gatherings at work and appearances at pre-holiday corporate parties will begin soon.

And buy a dress in which your zodiac sign will definitely be lucky in the new year!

- there are, it turns out, so many varieties!

In general, the year is coming to an end, and I want to do so much more!

I wish you strength, health and pleasant, not very tiring New Year's activities!

Sincerely, Margarita Mamaeva

Let's make christmas cards and on the eve of the holiday we will present them to our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, teachers, classmates or just good friends. How happy they will be with such an original surprise!

You will need: a sheet of cardboard (blue), two sheets of colored paper (green and red), PVA glue, a ruler, a pencil and scissors.

1. Fold the blue piece of cardboard in half. This is the basis of the future postcard.

2. Draw a green sheet lengthwise into strips of 3.5 cm, 5 cm, 6 cm and 6.5 cm.

3. Now fold the sheet in half, as shown in the figure.

4. And one more time.

5. And more.

6. And more.

7. Expand the sheet.

8. The lines that formed from the folding of the sheet will help you to fold it like an accordion. Let's try?

9.Using scissors, cut the accordion-folded sheet along the marked lines.

These are the green accordions that will flaunt on your tables.

10. Glue the accordion-branches right at the fold of the base at a distance of 5-7 mm from each other. To make the blanks stick better, place scissors or a small book on top.

11. Unfold the top of the tree (the first accordion) and glue its other end on the other side of the card, just at the fold.

12. Glue other accordion branches in the same way.

13. It's time to decorate our New Year's beauty.

Cut a five-pointed star out of red paper and glue it on top of the middle of the card. You can also cut out quadrangle gifts from colored paper, decorate them with painted ribbons and bows, and glue them under the tree. Don't forget about snowflakes, what is a New Year card without snow drifts?

On the outside of the card, glue a snowflake cut out of paper.

Well done boys! The magical herringbone card is ready!

The tradition of giving postcards for important events and holidays dates back more than two centuries. Despite the fact that modern information technologies have entered our life: mobile communications and the Internet, we are still happy to receive a colorful postcard for the New Year with our own hands as a gift from a loved one.

However, modern postcards look very different from those that we received twenty years ago. We no longer want to congratulate each other with faceless products from the printing industry, which stamped them in unlimited quantities.

The boring standard cardboard boxes were replaced by postcards, skillfully made on their own, in which the person who made them put a piece of his soul, warmth and care. One of our favorite holidays has always been the New Year: it is with it that we connect our dreams and hopes for a better future, we exchange gifts with people close to us.

A handmade postcard can be a nice addition to a gift. It is not at all difficult to make it, since the materials for its production (colored paper, cardboard, satin ribbons, bright shreds, beads, sequins, braid) can be found in every home. The task will become even easier if you purchase a special kit for scrapbooking in the store (this is what the art of making postcards is called).

In addition to materials, we may need a curly hole punch, openwork scissors or zigzag scissors, a set of decorative stamps.

An original postcard for a man can be a pocket with a New Year's greetings. In recent years, there has been a fashionable tendency to necessarily link the congratulatory text with the patron saint of the coming year - one of the twelve animals of the Chinese horoscope.

Having found a suitable poem on the Internet, we add from ourselves everything that we want to wish to a person dear to us and print the text on a home printer. Of course, for this we need a sheet of thick cardboard, the edges of which can be tinted with acrylic paints and decorated with an ornament using suitable stamps.

How to make a pocket postcard?

For this we need:

  • A piece of thick gift paper with a "masculine" pattern.
  • Small details (you can use some knightly paraphernalia taken from a children's game).
  • Several sisal fibers.
  • Small snowflakes.
  • Cloves (spice, a few things).
  • A string of faux pearls.
  • Artificial berries and imitation of a spruce twig.
  • Silver ribbon bow.
  • Silver braid.
  1. We model and glue an original envelope-pocket out of gift paper.
  2. Carefully glue the edges of the pocket with a narrow silver tape.
  3. In the lower left corner of the pocket, create a beautiful composition of sisal fibers, beads, berries, snowflakes and a spruce twig. It is advisable to place fragrant carnations among artificial needles: they will imitate fir cones, at the same time flavoring the card.
  4. In the foreground of the composition, we fix small details (imitation of weapons, a shield or a fragment of knightly armor).
  5. At the top of the congratulation sheet, we fix a small but spectacular bow made of silver braid, decorated with a snowflake and a bunch of artificial berries.
  6. We put a beautifully designed congratulation in the finished pocket.

A do-it-yourself holiday card for the New Year, intended as a gift for a woman, can be a volumetric imitation of a cozy winter window. Below you can find out how to make it.

We need:

  • A sheet of dark blue cardboard.
  • Striped gift paper.
  • Trimming guipure, tulle or lace.
  • Silver braid.
  • Tape narrow lace.
  • A picture depicting a beautiful winter landscape.
  • Ceiling tiles or thick felt trims.

Sequence of execution:

  1. We bend a sheet of blue cardboard in half.
  2. We glue the inside of the postcard with coated white paper with beautifully designed corners and a pre-printed congratulation.
  3. We decorate the front side with striped gift paper: it will imitate the wallpaper on the wall surrounding the window.
  4. We glue a beautiful winter landscape (it will be visible from the window).
  5. From strips of ceiling tiles or thick felt, we make an imitation of a window frame and glue it over a winter landscape.
  6. We make a lambrequin from a piece of ribbon lace and fix it on the top of the frame.
  7. We make curtains from scraps of tulle or guipure, glue on the sides of the window, intercept with a narrow braid and tie it with a bow.
  8. Place a strip with a beautifully executed congratulatory inscription under the window. It can be printed on a printer or cut out of an old postcard using curly scissors.

Even the simplest postcard with an applique made by a child's hands will be a very expensive gift for his mother.

Give your baby a folded sheet of cardboard and a fern leaf (or any dried plant whose leaves are shaped like a herringbone).

  • We glue the leaflet on the front side of the postcard: this will be the basis of the Christmas tree.
  • We decorate the Christmas tree with ready-made sequins or confetti circles, which the child can independently make from colored foil or pages of a glossy magazine.
  • Taking a thin brush and white gouache, you can depict snowflakes circling around the tree.
  • We make imitation of snowdrifts from pieces of cotton wool and glue them under the Christmas tree.
  • A congratulatory inscription (if the child can already write) can be done by hand.
  • The same applies to the text of the congratulation: executed with touching children's scribbles, it will warm any mother to the core.

A very small child can please his mother with a postcard decorated with purchased stickers. These stickers are sold in sets and come in the form of stars and various geometric shapes. Offer them to your kid and help him make a simple Christmas tree applique.

A postcard with a Christmas tree made by a child's hands will be no less dear to his dad. It will look quite original with a Christmas tree made of paper tubes. What is required for this?

  • Colored thick cardboard.
  • Scrap paper.
  • PVA glue.
  • Beads, sequins, beads.

Sequence of execution:

  1. We fold the cardboard in half.
  2. We mark the future postcard, determine the size of the Christmas tree.
  3. Cut the scrap paper into rectangles, roll up and glue the tubes out of them. The length of the tubes should be different, according to our preliminary marking.
  4. Having made a sufficient number of tubes, we begin to glue the Christmas tree onto the cardboard. We put the longest blanks down. With each new tier, their length should decrease. We glue the tubes together.
  5. Decorate the finished Christmas tree with ready-made sequins, beads and beads.
  6. Together with the child, we write congratulations to our beloved dad.

A beautiful postcard made in an unusual technique will be a pleasant surprise for your beloved friend. On the front side, you can cut a round window and arrange it in the form of a beautiful Christmas tree decoration.

We need:

  • A piece of thick cardboard.
  • Gift paper.
  • Large silvery snowflake.
  • A piece of brightly colored felt.
  • Narrow silver ribbon.
  • Round paper napkin with carved edges.
  • Paper spruce twigs.

Sequence of execution:

  1. Making the base of the postcard: fold a sheet of cardboard in half. We cover the front side with beautiful gift paper.
  2. Using a compass or any rounded object, draw a circle for the future window. The diameter of our circle should correspond to the diameter of the snowflake we have (you can buy it in the department that sells Christmas tree decorations).
  3. We close the window with a piece of silver metallized cardboard.
  4. We make out the edge of the cut window using a paper napkin with lace edges (cut out the middle of the napkin according to the same diameter).
  5. We make the volumetric edging of the window from thick felt: after making the necessary markings, cut out the ring and glue it over the paper lace, like a frame.
  6. The edges of the felt frame can be decorated with silver glitter gel.
  7. Place a snowflake in the center of the window and glue it to the silver cardboard.
  8. At the top of the resulting Christmas tree ball, we glue an imitation of a metal fastener made from the same silver cardboard.
  9. On both sides of the "attachment" we strengthen paper spruce branches (ready-made or cut out on our own).
  10. We decorate the center of the "attachment" with a bow of a silver ribbon.
  11. We paste over the finished postcard from the inside with beautiful paper and write the warmest wishes on it.

You can please your friend with a funny postcard with the image of a smiling snowman.

Necessary materials:

  • Thick green cardboard.
  • A picture with a picture of a cheerful snowman.
  • Double-sided bulk tape.
  • Simple double-sided tape.
  • Ready-made volumetric stickers.
  • Halves of mother-of-pearl beads.
  • A piece of rep tape.
  • Stamp.
  • Glue "Titan".

Stages of work:

  1. We fold the postcard, mark it up and cut out the window on its front side.
  2. In accordance with the size of the window, we select a suitable picture and cut it out, making an additional 0.5 cm allowance on each side (it is necessary for attaching the picture to volumetric tape). We do all the markings with a simple pencil. After cutting out the picture, erase the auxiliary lines.
  3. At the edges of the front side of the picture, we attach small squares of double-sided tape and glue the image of a snowman to the back of the future postcard. This should give the impression that a snowman is looking out of the window.
  4. At the bottom of the postcard, attach a piece of rep tape (using double-sided tape).
  5. We hide the edges of the tape under the volumetric snowmen stickers.
  6. After applying a few drops of glue, attach the sequins in the form of snowflakes to the ribbon.
  7. We use the same sequins to decorate the upper corner of the postcard.
  8. We decorate the upper right corner of the window with a bright bow made of fabric.
  9. In the left corner we place and glue the halves of mother-of-pearl beads.
  10. We will make an insert for the inner part from scrap paper by cutting out a square of the desired size and processing its edges using a border punch.
  11. We glue the liner onto double-sided regular tape.
  12. Using an acrylic stamp, we will make an imprint of the greeting lettering.

A New Year card with an applique made of buttons will be a pleasant surprise for your beloved grandmother. Bright, unusual and very easy to make, it will become the center of admiring attention at the moment of the solemn presentation of gifts.

Necessary materials:

  • Thick white cardboard.
  • A large number of large and small buttons in different colors.
  • Beads, beads, sequins.
  • Felt scraps.
  • Balls of multi-colored woolen yarn.
  • Glue "Titan" (for ceiling tiles).
  1. Having folded the cardboard in half, we prepare the base for the postcard.
  2. Using a simple pencil, we make a light sketch of the Christmas tree.
  3. We spread the image of a Christmas tree made of buttons, tightly filling the drawn outline with them. We glue the buttons, alternating them in color and size, leaving no gaps or gaps.
  4. We decorate the Christmas tree with small beads and sequins.
  5. At the top of the head we strengthen the star, cut out of bright felt.
  6. Cut out a large number of squares and rectangles from pieces of felt, which will imitate a mountain of gifts at the base of the Christmas tree. We tie each "gift" with an elegant bow made of woolen yarn (some threads can be passed through a small button before tying the bow).
  7. We beautifully group the "gifts" under the Christmas tree and glue them.
  8. We write a touching congratulation inside the postcard.

Another option for a gift for your grandmother can be a postcard made of threads. Taking fluffy green yarn, lay out the silhouette of a Christmas tree with thread and stick it on thick cardboard with curly edging. Glue three large buttons in the center. The original postcard is ready!

Dear grandfather, you can make a postcard that is somewhat reminiscent of a traditional one, but only of the old times and with an indispensable modern twist.

What do we need?

  • A piece of dark cardboard.
  • A picture of Santa Claus (cut from a magazine or an old postcard).
  • A few strips of scrap paper or a page from a glossy magazine.
  • Golden braid.
  • Decorative bell.
  • Artificial twigs and berries.

Sequencing:

  1. In the center of the cardboard folded in half, we glue a picture with the image of Santa Claus. You can pre-attach a narrow rectangle of plain colored paper to it by placing it closer to the top corner of the postcard.
  2. We attach several tubes of glossy paper with letters tied with bows of golden braid to the bottom edge of the picture: this is an imitation of greeting scrolls. They can be additionally decorated with paper spruce branches.
  3. We decorate the side of the picture (just above the "scrolls") with a volumetric image of a gift tied with a golden thread with a tiny bell.
  4. You can additionally decorate it by cutting out a couple of snowflakes from an openwork paper napkin.
  5. We make the congratulatory inscription by hand using glitter gel (or cut out from an old postcard).

A mother-needlewoman can please her beloved daughter with a postcard with the image of a beauty - Snow Maiden.

Necessary materials:

  • A piece of thick cardboard.
  • Cardboard with silver letters.
  • The picture with the image of the Snow Maiden.
  • Glitter gel.
  • Woolen yarn.
  • Finished silvery snowflakes.
  • Satin braid, floral mesh strip, beads, sequins.

Sequence of execution:

  1. Fold the cardboard in half. Using a sewing machine, we attach a sheet of beautiful thick cardboard with silver letters to the front side. Thanks to this applique, the postcard will be both stronger and more solid.
  2. Using a simple pencil, we mark the round window (the edges of the circle can be made curly). We cut out the window using a clerical knife.
  3. In order for the postcard to take on an original look, you can highlight the window with a beautiful frame. To make it, we take a beautiful cardboard and make an arbitrary-shaped edging. We will glue it with Titan glue.
  4. Outline the outer and inner edges of the frame with a gel with silvery sparkles.
  5. Let's decorate the frame from one edge with snowflakes, an elegant bow made of braid, woolen yarn and floral mesh.
  6. We paste over the inner side with light paper and write New Year's greetings.

For your beloved son, you can make a postcard using the now popular quilling technique. Skilfully made mittens will clearly demonstrate how great a mother's desire to please her child is.

Necessary materials:

  • Blue cardboard.
  • Narrow strips of red and white paper.
  • Beads and sequins.
  • Satin ribbon.
  • Congratulatory inscription printed on a color printer and cut out with curly scissors.

Sequence of execution:

  1. We make the base of the postcard from blue cardboard.
  2. Cut out images of a pair of warm mittens from thick white cardboard and fill them tightly with red paper ribbons twisted into spirals. We make the edge of the mittens from white stripes, and decorate their middle with sequins.
  3. We place the finished gloves in the very center of the front side, connecting them with a satin ribbon and tying it with a bow.
  4. We decorate the upper corners with graceful white flowers imitating frosty patterns. Glue sequins in the middle of the flowers.
  5. In the lower corners we make "frosty" curls, decorated with transparent beads.
  6. We attach a congratulatory inscription under the mittens.

A voluminous postcard for the New Year of the Goat (sheep) is a great reason to please your beloved girl by presenting her with a charm card depicting a cute lamb - the patron saint of the coming year. To make it you will need no more than half an hour and a modest set of materials. So, we need:

  • A sheet of white and thick textured paper.
  • A piece of black semi-cardboard.
  • Ready-made eyes for toys.
  • Scissors: simple and curly.

Manufacturing sequence:

  1. We fold the white textured paper in half and draw a circle on it using a compass or any round object.
  2. Cut out the circle with curly scissors, leaving a small piece of the fold intact so that the card can be opened.
  3. We make an oval hat and a small round tail from scraps of white paper.
  4. On a sheet of black semi-cardboard we outline a muzzle, a pair of ears and four legs. We cut out all the details using ordinary scissors.
  5. Before assembling the postcard, we lay out all the details, achieving the greatest expressiveness of the image. Our postcard will stand, so you need to position the legs so that they match.
  6. Gently glue all the parts, promptly removing excess glue with a soft cloth.
  7. Our charm card is ready. You just need to write the warmest words inside and give it to your girlfriend along with a New Year's gift.

Even a small child can make a card for a brother. Of course, if an adult member of the family will help in the work. Let's find out how to make it using a fashionable technique called cardmaking.

Our postcard will be a bright picture with a border made of cardboard base. To complete it, we need:

  • A sheet of very thick cardboard (21/15 cm in size).
  • Set of colored velvet paper.
  • Double-sided bulk tape.
  • Star sequins.
  • Metal chain (22-25 cm long).
  • Several acrylic or metal pendants and rings for attaching them.
  • Sintepon or cotton wool.
  • Titanium glue or glue stick. As a last resort, ordinary office glue will do.
  • Regular scissors and zigzag scissors.
  • Special grommet and three eyelets.

Stages of execution:

  1. Cut out a 18/11 cm rectangle from blue velvet paper with zigzag scissors and glue it to a sheet of white cardboard: this is the background of our postcard.
  2. With the same scissors we cut out a triangular (with sides 6/9/9 cm) Christmas tree made of green velvet paper. We decorate it with star sequins.
  3. We attach strips of volumetric tape to the back of the Christmas tree and place it on the postcard.
  4. We make two New Year's boots for gifts from red velvet paper and fix them with the same tape.
  5. In the same way, we cut out and glue the house.
  6. We make holes in three places using an eyelet press. Using detachable rings, we attach a chain to the card and decorate it with funny pendants.
  7. To simulate a snowball, we use cotton wool lumps, attaching them to the roof of the house, boots and at the base of the Christmas tree.

A very delicate and original card made of beads can please your beloved sister. It will take no more than a quarter of an hour to make it, but the result is a very nice addition to the gift.

Required materials:

  • Thick blue cardboard.
  • Three pieces of New Year's paper with a pattern in a similar color scheme.
  • White mother-of-pearl beads of different diameters (preferably three sizes).
  • Flat double-sided tape.
  • Narrow nylon ribbon.
  • Hot glue.

Sequence of work:

  1. Fold a square postcard out of cardboard.
  2. We decorate the front side with squares and rectangles of New Year's paper, randomly placing them on cardboard and gluing with double-sided tape. The most important thing is that the composition is original and harmonious.
  3. With a simple pencil, we make a light sketch of the silhouette of the Christmas tree and begin to glue the beads of the bottom row using hot glue. In the process of gluing, we alternate the beads in size, trying to place the smallest of them in the upper tiers of the Christmas tree.
  4. After pasting the Christmas tree, we make an elegant bow from a translucent nylon ribbon at the bottom of the postcard. To do this, make a small cut on the fold with a sharp clerical knife, thread a ribbon through it and tie a bow.

Good afternoon. Today we will make our own New Year cards. I will show you the most interesting ways and techniques. You will not only see photographs, but also receive detailed instructions and diagrams for creating each such postcard. I will give you the necessary master classes to illustrate complex techniques (quilling, origami) step by step.

I decided to divide the entire article into 5 parts - on the topics of New Year's cards.

  1. First, we'll look at a wide variety of Christmas trees on postcards.
  2. Then I will show you what Santa Clauses can decorate your postcard.
  3. Then we will make Snowmen using different techniques.
  4. Then we move on to Christmas wreaths.
  5. And of course, consider the applications of snowflakes on postcards.

So let's get started ...

Part one

FIR-tree on New Year's cards.

Method number 1 - paper triangles.

If you still have old signed New Year's cards, you can no longer transfer them in a second round. But you can use them to create a NEW postcard. You can cut a triangle out of a New Year's card, put it on a leg and get a Christmas tree. The New Year's motive on the card turned out by itself - like the coloring of a Christmas tree.

Or you can cut a herringbone out of a regular cardboard box - rough corrugated packaging cardboard will blend in with delicate lace or pearl beads. And you will receive an elegant handmade New Year card.

You can cut a triangular silhouette of a Christmas tree with wavy edges and glue it with sequins that imitate Christmas decorations on the tree.

You can give the triangular silhouette of the herringbone a scalloped edge (like in the photo postcards below). And also you can cut out several silhouettes at once and arrange them on one New Year's card.

On the blue New Year's card with the photo below, we see how a voluminous blade herringbone is glued from three triangles.

Or one silhouette of the Christmas tree can be larger in size and with a different shade of color - we put it as a duplicate background under the upper silhouette (as on the right Christmas card with the photo below).

Method number 2 - paper ribbons on a New Year's card.

From paper or textile ribbons, you can very quickly and easily form a herringbone applique.

You can use regular strips of colored paper. Or buy a braid with embroidery in the sewing department of the store. Or in the gift department of the store, buy a sheet of elegant wrapping paper and cut patterned stripes from it for a Christmas tree applique on a New Year's card.

Here in the photo below we see several options for creating such a New Year's tree applique.

The paper strips do not have to be glued in a strict order and symmetry. You can cut strips of four lengths - 10 cm, 8 cm, 5 cm, 3 cm.And arrange them in a chaotic oblique order starting from the bottom of 10 cm, in the middle we lay strips of 3 cm and 5 cm, and at the top of 3 cm. paper star and we get a New Year's card with our own hands as in the left photo below.

You can also take a triangle cut out of thick cardboard and glue it over with strips of paper or fabric, bending the edges of the strips to the wrong side of the cardboard triangle. And we will get a ready-made elegant Christmas tree, which you can safely stick on your postcard (right photo below).

But with paper strips, you can make not only flat applications. You can make Christmas trees using 3D technique. Here is a detailed description of how to make a looped Christmas tree on a red New Year's card from the left photo below with your own hands.

Step 1 - cut into narrow and long strips - their lengths will also be different: 2 strips of 15 cm, 2 strips of 12 cm, 2 strips of 9 cm, and one strip of 7 cm.

Step 2 - in the front side of the card we make cuts with a blade - 2 slots on both sides along an imaginary line(the width of each slot is such that our strip can easily fit into it).

Step 3 - pushing each strip at one end through 2 slots- we turn it with a loop and again return to the same slots. The ends of the strip that meet on the side glue in the same loop as on the opposite side.

We repeat a similar procedure with the rest of the strips. Naturally, it is necessary to place the strips from bottom to top in decreasing order (long at the bottom, short at the top).

Or you can cut 6 paper strips of equal length 12 cm... Bend each strip in half and intertwine the folds of the halves with each other cross to cross - in a checkerboard weave. It just looks difficult. But in fact it is simple. Here you can tear out a sheet from a notebook and cut 6 strips of any length and practice on such a rough material - to see how simple and easy everything is.

And here is another New Year's card, where the tree is also made of strips of paper... Only here crepe paper is used (with a crumpled wrinkled effect) - it is sold in rolls in stationery stores (like wallpaper).

Step 1 - We cut wide strips of different lengths - 12 cm, 10 cm, 8 cm, 6 cm, 4 cm.

Step 2 - On the card we outline the line-tiers (rounded), to these lines we will glue each tier of our Christmas tree made of paper. We attach a strip of double-sided tape to these drawn lines.

Step 3 - We take the longest strip (12 cm) and fold its entire upper edge into small folds - tweaks - and place these tucks on the lower line of the tape. Take the next largest strip (10 cm) and do the same. And so we move to the upper tier of the tree. Then we decorate the Christmas tree on the New Year's card for any design at our discretion.

Method number 3 - paper circles.

And here is a way to make a Christmas tree on a New Year's card using mugs cut from paper. You can cut the circles to the same size (like the blue postcard in the photo below). Or you can cut the circles into 4 different sizes - 2 circles for each size. And then the Christmas tree will turn out to be a triangular shape (tapering upward), as on the red New Year's card with the photo below.

Method number 4 - quilling technique for postcards for the New Year.

And here is another technique by which very beautiful handmade New Year cards are obtained. Beautiful twists can be made from paper strips.

This is how the process of creating a Christmas tree using the quilling technique looks like. Cut the paper into even strips(It is convenient to do this under the ruler with a paper knife - on a wooden board so as not to cut the table. Or you can buy ready-made strips for quilling. Or you can get a machine for cutting quilling strips.

We lay each twist in a circle template(so that the twists are the same size). Let the tight twist open a little, unwind - but within the framework of a round stencil. And then glue the tail-tip of the twist to the barrel of the twist itself... That is, we fix its size. So it will be possible to take it out of the stencil frame and not be afraid that it will unwind and increase its size.

If you don't have a stencil, you can use round caps for creams or drinks... Place the twist on the bottom of the glass or lid and allow it to unwind to the diameter of the lid. Then gently pull it out with tweezers and fix the twist tail with glue.

Pinch the round twists on one side with your finger to give it the shape of a drop.

We add drops of different sizes in pairs - and we get a quick and simple Christmas tree.

The quilling technique allows you to create a variety of Christmas tree patterns from paper twists.

Method number 5 - paper rolls.

Or you can cut the paper into wide strips of different lengths - and roll each strip into a roll. It's easy to do if wrap it around a pencil- glue, wait for the glue to set - and only then remove from the pencil. These rolls of different lengths make a beautiful Christmas tree on a postcard. Do it yourself quickly and easily. Paper can be used simple color... Or buy sheets gift wrapping paper(sold in the gift department).

Method number 6 - mosaic herringbone on a postcard.

You can use any small details as a material for creating a Christmas tree. Sliced snowflakes or butterflies. Buttons or origami stars or bolts and nuts (if you are preparing a postcard for your husband and want to make it in a brutal style).

Method number 7 - lace Christmas tree on a New Year's card.

You can make beautiful lace on a New Year's card. you can use ready made lace paper napkins(sold at the household store, in the same place as the muffin tins). These napkins are often placed under cakes and other culinary items.)

Or you can create paper lace yourself- by folding the paper as for cutting out a snowflake. And put an interesting pattern with holes along the folded edge.

Can you fold the cut-out snowflake in the shape of a herringbone and stick on a New Year's card.

Method number 8 - origami technique.

And here are New Year's cards, which are decorated with a Christmas tree folded from a napkin. Such folding origami in the form of a Christmas tree are made quite quickly and from a simple square (you do not need to cut anything). The main thing is that each upper square is slightly smaller in size than the lower one. And then the tiers of our Christmas tree will narrow towards the top.

Here below I have depicted a diagram that illustrates the process of creating paper blanks for a Christmas tree for a postcard.

But you yourself can come up with YOUR OWN interpretations of a modular paper tree. Come up with your own triangular folds and create your own personalized Christmas card with a Christmas tree.

Method number 9 - folding herringbone on a postcard.

And here is another foldable herringbone. Everything here is quite simple and is made from a detached solid sheet of cardboard. And if you wish, you can additionally decorate the Christmas tree with inserts of colored paper and decorations.

And also you can quickly fold an origami Christmas tree out of paper in this semicircular pattern. You can copy the shape of the tree and fold lines directly from the monitor screen. To zoom in or out on the screen, scroll the mouse wheel forward or backward while holding down the Ctrl button.

Or you can make such a tree yourself without a drawing. And just bending the semicircle back and forth several times, as shown in the picture below.

If such a semicircular pattern for a folding Christmas tree is made not with an even edge, but by jagging the circle of the pattern into soft ruffles or teeth, then the edges of our tiers at the Christmas tree will turn out to be curly, as in the photo of New Year's cards below.

Method # 10 - paper carving.

Also, for Christmas cards, the cuff carving technique is suitable. This technique is very easy to do. Part of the picture is cut with a razor blade and folded back. We see the most primitive example in the right photo below - half of the contours of the Christmas tree and snowflakes are cut off and simply bent.

You can make a double contour - and then the fold will turn out in the form of a narrow silhouette strip, as is done on the left postcard with the photo below.

Or you can cut and bend down each tier silhouette of a Christmas tree on a postcard. And we will get a Christmas card with the photo below.

You can first practice on any rough piece of paper - to see how easy it is to actually implement such a postcard carving technique and make your own unique New Year's craft.

This we examined New Year's cards with a Christmas tree theme, and now let's look at all the other New Year's themes with which you can decorate our cards with your own hands.

Part two

FATHER FROST on postcards.

Large applications in the shape of Santa Claus will decorate any Christmas card. There is no need to make a full-length silhouette of Santa Claus somewhere in the corner of the postcard in the form of a small booger. It is better to take the largest size of a hat, beard and take the whole part of the postcard with these main elements of Santa Claus - a red nose, mustache, beard, hat.

You can fold Santa Claus for a postcard using the origami technique - as shown in the photo below.

Part three

SNOWMAN on New Year's cards.

Now you can move on to the new character of the Christmas holidays - the snowman. Usually we are used to seeing it on crafts in the form of three white rounds and a bucket on the head. But you can get creative with the task of portraying a snowman on a postcard. For example, make it look out from behind the Christmas tree - as in the left photo below.

Or take a ready-made card with a snowman - cut it into strips of different lengths - and from these strips fold a herringbone pyramid. Fold in such a way that on some of the strips you can see the sly face of a snowman (as on the left Christmas card with the photo below).

Also, you are not required to make a snowman applique on a classic white paper postcard. You can take the music staff of a New Year's song on the Internet - put it on print, and cut out round discs from such paper for applying a snowman.

Or take a printed text that tells about New Year's traditions and cut rounds for a snowman from such a text.

You can make a snowman on a postcard from a paper fan. When the fan is bent in half - and its blades unfold in a circle.

You can make a snowman on a postcard using the quilling technique. Twist twist modules from paper white strips, and fold a quilling snowman.

You can portray the snowman in an interesting, unusual angle or setting. It could be a snowman TOP VIEW (like in the left photo below) ... or a snowman inside a snow globe (like in the right photo).

You can make an applique for a snowman, which pierces a snowflake with his nose. Or a snowman-lord with a top hat and a red bow around his neck.

It is not necessary to put a bucket on the snowman. A snowman looks good in a neat black hat with a brim decorated with a sprig of holly.

The snowman on the postcard can be depicted in an extremely schematic way. A semicircle, a strip of a scarf, two beads of eyes and an orange triangle of the nose.

You can make a simplified silhouette of a snowman as the side of a two-layer postcard as in the photo below.

Or you can use the entire white background of the postcard as the body of a snowman. This principle is shown on the New Year's cards with the photo below.

The most difficult thing is to make a volumetric 3D postcard with a silhouette of a snowman.

Part four

DEER on Christmas cards.

Another New Year's character that looks festive on New Year's cards is a deer.

He can also be portrayed outside the box, but in an interesting situation. For example, it can be a reindeer singing Christmas songs with inspiration, playing a drum, or ice skating - everything is up to your imagination.

You can choose the simplest silhouette applique of ONLY DEER'S HEAD on postcards.

Or you can decorate a New Year's card with the silhouette of a whole deer - from antlers to hooves.

Part four

SNOWFLAKES on New Year's cards.

You can cut 2 ordinary stars out of paper and fold them on top of each other with an offset of one ray - and we will get an elegant snowflake on a Christmas card with our own hands.

You can make a beautiful snowflake using the volumetric convex technique.

Or embroider a snowflake from threads. That is, apply a symmetrical pattern of punctures. And then, in a certain order, lace up these puncture holes with threads to make an openwork snowflake.

You don't have to come up with very complex weaves. Even small patterns of thread and needles will decorate your New Year's cards.

In this thread technique, you can perform not only snowflakes, but also any other New Year's motives.

And of course a snowflake using the quilling technique.

Here in the photo below we see the stages of creating a complex snowflake from ordinary quilling modules - you need to start each snowflake from the center - and grow petals to the middle - circle by circle.

Your Christmas card with snowflakes can resemble a layer cake, in which a variety of details are mixed, layering and bumping into each other in an elegant chaos of beauty.

The snowflake on your card can be made of paper modules made using origami technique.

Part five

Wreaths on New Year's cards.

And here is the theme of festive Christmas wreaths. On a postcard, they can be depicted in any technique. It can be a flat appliqué of any geometric shapes, decorated with ribbons, buttons and other tinsel.

You can make a New Year's card in the form of a door on which such a Christmas wreath hangs.

The quilling technique is also ideal for creating modules for a Christmas wreath.

New Year's cards can be decorated with birds. They can sing winter songs while sitting on birch musical branches.

Also, New Year's cards can represent a winter window through which you can see either a snowy landscape or a festive room with a Christmas tree.

And here are some more ideas for how to give money in a New Year's card ... We are used to investing money inside a postcard. But you can put the money outside, making it part of the overall New Year's application. I will now explain how to place the money on the front side of the postcard and not spoil it with glue.

Here on the first postcard we see a bill folded in a triangular cone - a ribbon was glued to the card (not money, we don’t spoil it with glue) and glued the ribbon so that it was glued to the glue in the middle, and its tails hung loosely. We put a cone of a Christmas tree-money on the ribbon - and we tie it, we tie it with the free ends of the ribbon.

In the second case we glue the snowman - but not just glue it - but on plump pieces of styrofoam stumps. That is, the snowman turns out to be towering on the postcard. Thus, the snowman's neck turns out to be pushed away from the postcard canvas - and you can safely slip a bill rolled into a strip under his neck.

And in the third case - we roll up the candle tubes out of paper. We glue them with ribs to the postcard. And in each tube we put a banknote rolled into a narrow roll.

These are the original ideas for New Year's cards I found for you during these holidays.

The drawing is filled with thin paper strips, which, overlapping each other at a certain angle, create an interesting twisting spiral effect.

The name of this technique - iris folding - can be translated as "rainbow folding". The drawing is filled with thin paper strips, which, overlapping each other at a certain angle, create an interesting twisting spiral effect. To make a Christmas tree, you will need a sheet of colored cardboard or thick paper, thin colored paper of three different colors (it can be plain or variegated), iris -a template based on a triangle, which you can build yourself or print ready-made. Use a glue stick to glue.

First, familiarize yourself with the technique for constructing an iris template. For this work, the template is built on the basis of a triangle with a base of 14 cm and a height of 16 cm. The step is 1 cm. These dimensions can be changed at your discretion.

  1. Cut three colors of paper into strips. The width of the strip should be twice as large as the pitch, plus an allowance of 2-4 mm. For our step, the width of the strip is 22-24 mm. The very first stripes should be slightly wider, since they cover the outer contours of the Christmas tree. How many strips are needed is difficult to calculate right away. It is better to cut them while doing the job.
  2. Fold each strip in half lengthwise.
  3. Cut out five strips for the trunk in different shades of 35x20 mm. Fold them in half.
  4. Draw the silhouette of the Christmas tree on the cardboard. Cut it out carefully using a utility knife or scissors. Draw or print an iris template.
  5. Place the cardboard on the wrong side of the template. The cut-out silhouette may be slightly larger than the template. Secure the template with paper clips, for example. All work will be done from the inside out.
  6. Execute the trunk first. Lightly glue the area of the cardboard around the slot on the right side. Stick on the first strip. The fold line on the strip should line up with the line on the template. To glue the second strip, you can grease the top, bottom and the previous strip with glue. To prevent the strips from opening, they can be glued a little in some places. Sometimes this technique does not use glue, but small pieces of tape, with which the strips are fixed along the edges.
  7. Fill the entire barrel with stripes.
  8. Take the longest and widest strip. First, just apply it to work. The fold line should lie along the first line of the iris template. If the strip is too long, trim it. Glue the strip, smearing a little glue on the cardboard along the edges of the slot.
  9. Glue a strip of a different color so that it lines up with the right-most line of the template.
  10. Glue the bottom of the third strip along the bottom border of the template.
  11. Prepare the next strip of the first color. Attach, measure, trim, then glue. With glue, smear not the strip, but the places of gluing! Use a little glue, just so that the strip "grabs".
  12. Glue the second strip of the second color, aligning it with the next line of the template.
  13. Glue the second strip of the third color along the next line. Continue gluing in the same order. Strictly clockwise, strictly alternating the selected colors. The stripes will get shorter each time. At the end, small scraps, cut off at the very beginning, will be used. When there is a small empty triangle at the end, glue it with a piece of paper of one of the three colors.

Now you can turn the work over and admire the result. You can glue the garlands and decorate the tree as you like. We completed these and other Christmas trees at the master class on 12/13/2007 in about one hour. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
