DIY tulip

How to make a tulip? Prepare everything you need to fold the origami tulip:

  • You should take colored paper;

It is not necessary to make a flower out of red paper, you can use any other color.

  • Scissors;
  • A ruler.

Thus, we begin to make a tulip from a square leaf. First, add the basic origami shape. "Water bomb" ... To do this, you need to fold the square in half and again in half. Fold the triangle along the fold and unfold it. Turn the future tulip over and do it again. As a result, a fairly large triangle will come out of a square piece of paper.

You need to bend the triangles up, turn the figure over and repeat this action again. Then bend the corners. The paper should be stacked one by one. Then you need to tuck one corner inside the other. Turn the figurine over and repeat the same. Then blow with all your strength into the base of the flower and it will straighten. It remains only to slightly bend the petals. And you will have a very beautiful flower.

The tulip itself is ready from paper, you still need to make a stem for it. To do this, you need to take a piece of greenish colored paper and fold the square diagonally, then unfold it. Fold the sides to the main fold. Now you also need to fold the bottom corners to the main fold. Fold the bottom corner up. Fold the figure in half along the fold. Then peel back the leaf from the stem. You only need to connect two flower blanks together.

Combine 2 blanks: a flower bud and a leaf into one single piece. Now your flower can be placed in a beautiful vase. You can make absolutely any flower yourself, be it a chamomile or a lily.

The diagram of the model of the presented flower is quite simple, and I think that it will not be difficult. To achieve 100% similarity to the bells pattern, multi-coated paper must be used.

A wonderful representative of floral origami is Iris. The model takes on a very realistic look if you choose the right paper. It should not be very hard and preferably with a matte finish.

How to make beautiful origami flowers, flower kusudama and paper topiary with your own hands for kids and beginners. Step-by-step (step-by-step) instructions with a photo.

Origami flower

A large bright multi-colored flower in origami technique was made for me by my eldest daughter when she was in grade 1. The scheme of its assembly is not so easy that kids can cope with it, but also not complicated: older preschoolers and younger students will be quite capable of it. However, you still have to be patient, since each petal is a separate module. For one flower, you will need from five to eight such modules.

The flower turns out to be very beautiful, it can be made as a gift for mom for, birthday, or other holiday. A bouquet of three or five of these flowers will be a good interior decoration.

A ball of several such flowers (kusudama or topiary) can also serve as a gift or decorate an interior.

How to make an origami flower

You can take any paper for a flower, like for many other figures made using this technique: from newsprint to special paper for origami. My daughter made it out of bright multi-colored paper for office equipment. For each petal, half an A4 sheet was needed, so the flower turned out to be quite large. If you make it from colored notes from a cube-shaped block, the flower will be small.

Materials and tools

For work you will need:

  • square sheets of paper (5 - 8 pieces for each flower) of the same color or different colors
  • glue (the glue should be strong enough to hold, so this time my daughter and I had to use not our favorite glue stick, but PVA-M glue from the Yaroslavl Luch plant in a yellow bottle. to a friend for 10 seconds, and they turned out to be glued so tightly that they could not peel off, just tear)
  • half-beads or rhinestones on an adhesive base or decoration gel with glitters
  • fluffy wire, thick metal wire or wooden barbecue sticks (depending on the size of the flower)
  • green corrugated paper (can be replaced with green tissue paper)

Stages of work

  1. Fold the sheet diagonally.
  2. Bend each lower corner to the upper corner.
  3. Combine the sides of each of the two resulting triangles with each other, iron the folds formed at the same time.
  4. These folds are made on paper folded in half and are convex (called a "mountain fold"). You need to separate the top and bottom layers of paper from each other on the sides. Bend this fold to the other side on the bottom layer. And unbend and align the fold between the layers.
  5. Fold the corners located on the sides to the opposite side, and then tuck inward.
  6. Bend the side corners up along the fold line.
  7. In this way, make blanks for the rest of the petals.
  8. Apply glue to the protruding side parts of each workpiece and glue these parts together. Instead of glue, you can fasten the petal with a stapler, but in this case the finished flower is not quite neat and with a large hole in the center.
This is one petal of a flower.
In the next photo, there are two petals of different sizes on a daughter's palm: a small petal from a sheet of paper with a side of 7 cm, a large one from a sheet with a side of 15 cm.
  9. Glue the petals together. To do this, apply a thin strip of glue next to the fold and press the petals together. You can press them hard enough, the main thing is that this does not create a fold on the petal opposite the gluing point, otherwise the petals will not be rounded, but elongated.
    Spread the flowers.
  10. If the flowers are small, the leaves and stems for them can be made from.

  11. And glue the hole in the center of the flower with a mother-of-pearl half-bead or a piece of fluffy yellow wire bent with a loop.

Or apply to the stamens of a flower.
A bouquet of such flowers turns out to be very beautiful and delicate.

  12. For a large flower, cut leaves from green corrugated paper, make the stem from thick metal wire or from three wooden sticks glued to each other (our flower has a stem from one stick, and it is too thin). Wrap the stem together with the leaves with a strip of green corrugated paper or special floral tape.

How to make flower kusudama

From such flowers, a very beautiful flower ball is obtained - kusudama.

Materials and tools

  • 60 square sheets of paper from blocks of notes or 5 sheets of colored A4 paper for office equipment of the same color or different colors
  • scissors
  • string or thick thread

Instructions

For kusudama, you first need to make 12 origami flowers, consisting of 5 petals (without stems and leaves), and then glue them together.

Detailed step by step instructions

So the paper flower ball is ready - one option from a huge number of very different models of kusudam. In the photo he is in the hands of my daughter.

And this is how it will look if you hang it somewhere.

How to make paper flower topiary (origami flowers)

The same flower ball can become the basis for a topiary made of origami paper flowers (topiary is a decorative small tree of happiness by hand).

To do this, you need to make a kusudama out of origami flowers and insert a wooden stick wrapped with a ribbon of satin or corrugated paper into it (my daughter and I took a stick from a lollipop in the shape of a cock).

Insert the other end of the stick into a glass of foam rubber (we have a glass of yogurt). Decorate as desired.

Origami history

This ancient art came to us from China. Surprisingly, origami was used in religious rituals. Only the highest nobility was available. Only after the end of World War II did origami find its way to Europe and America, and, of course, quickly found its admirers there.

What is most often done in this technique? Flowers, of course. Even if they are not exactly like living ones, they will never wither. To make it easier for you to fold paper flowers, phased folding schemes will come to the rescue.

Origami paper flowers

It is impossible to imagine our life without flowers. These are always bright colors, perfect forms and wonderful unique aromas. Flowers are given to women as a sign of love and admiration. Not a single women's holiday can do without them. And every woman, without exception, wants to receive some unusual gift on a holiday. So why can't it be an origami flower? After all, cut plants wither, and paper plants will delight the eye for many years.

Children can be involved in creating a gift, for sure they will like such an activity. And mom will be doubly pleased to receive a flower made by the hands of her beloved daughter or son. As they say - not a gift is precious, attention is expensive.

Whole books have been written on the art of folding origami. To help you master this art on your own, hint diagrams are printed there. But not everyone can understand them. In this case, the Internet will come to the rescue. How a flower from origami paper is folded, a video instruction will help you to clearly see the whole process.

What flowers can be folded from paper?

The tulip is a sign of purity and embodies the best thoughts of a person - love, kindness, purity and tenderness. At the sight of the first tulips, the feeling of spring comes. Therefore, the tulip is traditional as a gift on March 8th. But the life of a cut plant is short, and to prolong the feeling of spring in your soul, fold an origami tulip and decorate your home with it.

A tulip is created from a sheet of square paper. The photos show the procedure step by step.

Well, isn't it a wonderful bouquet turned out.

Lily is the favorite flower of the ancient Egyptian kings. A symbol of purity and beauty. It has a strong aroma and is actively used in perfumery. But it can be poisonous. Lilies are deadly to cats as they cause severe kidney poisoning. So let's not endanger the lives of our pets and decorate the room with paper lilies.

Here we have learned how to fold flowers individually. Let's try to collect a bouquet from them. It doesn't have to be classic. Let our bouquet be in the form of a wreath of roses, which can be hung on the wall or above the door. Here is a small master class on creating an origami bouquet of paper flowers in stages.

The form can be made of cardboard. Its size and appearance are at your discretion. Next, glue our roses tightly onto the cardboard so that no gaps are visible. As a result, you should get a wreath like this.

Flight of fantasy

With the help of origami, you can bring to life the most unusual and creative ideas. Just think about making a bouquet for the bride using the origami technique.

The white flower in the bouquet symbolizes the purity and tenderness of its owner. Only, unlike fresh flowers, it will not wither by the end of the banquet. Appearing with such an unusual bouquet, the bride will kill more than one hare at once: such a peculiar newlywed will definitely be noticed and remembered by everyone, and there is absolutely no risk of catching an allergy. In addition, throwing a bridal bouquet into a crowd of bridesmaids is not afraid to cripple someone. So in the end - some pluses.

Origami is a very fun activity. This is not only an interesting pastime, but also a healthy activity. Indeed, thanks to him, fine motor skills develop, and this has a positive effect on the mental abilities of a person. In addition, origami classes have a calming effect on the nervous system. If you want to learn how to make an origami flower for beginners with your own hands - you are here. The most interesting model will take a little diligence, but the pleasure of doing it is worth it. Just an hour of exciting activity, and a flower that will delight you all year round is ready!

Tools and materials Time: 40 minutes Difficulty: 4/10

  • origami paper, preferably in different colors;
  • pVA glue;
  • beads;
  • thick thread.

Our task with you is to learn how to make an origami flower for beginners. A diagram and step-by-step instructions will help us. So, let's begin!

Step-by-step instruction

To begin with, you should practice making an origami flower for beginners from plain white paper, and only then you can safely use colored leaves.

Step 1: choose paper

If possible, choose paper so that each flower in the bouquet has a different color from the others. When all the components of the bouquet are ready, you can play with the distribution of color accents.

Step 2: cut the squares

For one flower we need 5 squares with sides of 8 cm. Cut out. We move one closer, put the other 4 aside.

Note: when making any origami product, you need to adhere to the rule - the folds must be very well smoothed (you can do this by placing the part on a hard surface and tracing the fold with your fingernail). And only then can you proceed with the next step with a clear conscience.

Step 3: making a "scarf"

Fold the square in half diagonally to form a triangle. Fold the colored side out.

Step 4: making petals

Fold the left and right corners of the base of the triangle. For convenience, we will call the folded parts “petals”. So, align the petals so that there is no gap between them. The result should be a square.

Fold the petals in half towards the outside edges of the square. Do not forget to iron the folds with your fingernail.

We continue to work with the petals. Spread the petals along the fold lines so that their wide side looks directly at us.

Fold the corners of the straightened petals so that the fold line is flush with the sides of the square.

We bend the outer edges of the petals to the inner ones.

Step 5: glue the petal

Apply a thin layer of glue to the outer surface of one of the petals (in the photo, the place where the glue was applied is highlighted in blue - at the bottom, left), and then bend the square so that the front surfaces of the petals meet. Align them and fix with your fingers until the glue dries. One of the five details of the origami flower is ready.

Repeat steps 3-8 four more times to make a total of five flower parts.

Step 6: collecting the flower

Add a thin layer of glue along the edge of one side of the petal (in the photo, the place of application is highlighted in blue again), and then attach another part of the flower to this place so that they meet in the center with sharp corners. Hold in place while the glue dries.

Repeat step 11 for the remaining pieces to glue the 5-petal flower (tip: it's easier to glue the two- and three-piece pieces first, then glue them together).

Step 7: make up the bouquet

We make a bouquet of flowers.

Kusudama ball

But a more original solution is the Japanese Kusudama ball. In order to make such beauty, we combine the individual flowers together in such a way that the final figure turns out to be a spherical shape. At the same time, do not forget that the flowers must be glued to each other. We string the beads on a thread, adjust the thread to the bottom of the ball. We attach a thin rope to the upper part so that it can be hung. The beauty!
