Rostov State University of Economics (RINH) is a large educational, methodological and research center in the south of Russia, which provides retraining and advanced training of personnel in economic specialties and jurisprudence.
Story
Rostov Institute of Finance and Economics (RFEI) arose on the basis of the Faculty of Economics of the North Caucasus State University (NKSU). It was on his personnel, research and educational-methodological base that the institute developed in the pre-war decade.
By the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR of February 28, 1933, No. 330 RFEI was included in the list of higher educational institutions of the country, on March 11, 1939, the charter of the institute was approved by the order of the All-Union Committee of Higher Education.
October 13, 1964 by order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the RSFSR No. 718 RFEI was renamed into Rostov Institute of National Economy (RINH).
In 1994 the institute became academy, and in 2000 - the university.

Activities
The material base of the university has been significantly strengthened. In 2001, a 7-storey building with an area of \u200b\u200b2600 m² was put into operation, built entirely at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. In the educational process of the university, more than 500 computers are used, united into a single network with Internet access. Unremitting attention is paid to the development of the educational process, the introduction of interactive teaching methods in order to prepare highly professional, competitive economists for a market economy.
At the RSUE, traditional and new forms of integration have been effectively developed - educational, scientific, international and commercial activities in the context of economic reform: advanced training departments have been opened at the faculties, branches have been created, an educational and methodological center for the preparation of certified auditors and chief accountants, a pre-university training center are functioning. and career guidance; in the research institute of the university, scientific research is carried out both on federal and regional topics, and on promising and current problems of reforming individual economic structures.
There are doctoral and postgraduate studies, student research bureau. Highly qualified personnel are trained in doctoral studies in 5 specialties, in postgraduate studies in 14 specialties. The number of graduate students and applicants for the last 10 years has increased 9 times and is 395 people in a wide range of specialties and specializations in economic, philosophical, philological and legal sciences. In 1994, doctoral studies were opened. Currently, 28 people are studying in it.
A system has been created to stimulate the professional growth of scientific and pedagogical workers. Every year 5-7 university employees defend their doctoral dissertations. The publishing activity of the university is constantly expanding. In 2001 alone, 117 monographs, more than 250 textbooks and teaching aids were published, 4 scientific and scientific-practical journals are systematically published.
The university employs 254 candidates of sciences, and 74 associate professors, doctors of sciences, 21 academicians, 4 honored workers of the Russian Federation. 70% of teachers have academic degrees and titles.
Currently, about 16 thousand students are studying at the RSUE and its branches, and specialists are being trained for the republics of the North Caucasus, the CIS countries, as well as 12 foreign countries.
RGEU actively participates in various regional, all-Russian and international programs. Employees of the Russian State University of Economics, headed by B. S. Zolotarev, joined the international group of experts on the TASIS program, which, at the initiative of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, carried out the international project “Financial Transparency of Federal Transfers in the South of Russia”. The work of the RSUE experts was highly appreciated by the EU Ambassador to Russia, Richard Wright. An autonomous non-profit organization, the Center for Democratic Initiatives and Economic Technologies, has been established and operates at the university. One of the co-founders, along with the Russian State University of Economics, is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Rostov Region. At present, the university is a basic university for retraining management personnel (Presidential program) and training finance specialists and treasury workers (Barents Group program). In the development of this direction of the university's activities at the Center for Democratic Initiatives and Economic Technologies, under the patronage of the culture department of the British Embassy in Russia, the British Club was created, uniting graduates who underwent retraining under the presidential program, and the French Alliance non-profit public organization operates.
The subject of special attention is the socio-economic development of the RSUE. The university has developed and operates a multi-channel system of financing the university and social protection of teachers, staff, university students. Systematically and purposefully assistance is provided to pensioners and veterans of the university. For all the years of perestroika, the salaries of teachers and university staff, as well as the payment of scholarships to students and graduate students, were not delayed for a single day. RGEU has always fully paid for utilities from extra-budgetary funds. The teachers and staff of the university are annually provided with vouchers to rest homes and sanatoriums, regularly receive financial assistance. Their wages, taking into account all sources, increased by 2-2.5 times. The restoration of the recreation center in the village of Arkhyz is underway. The design work has been practically completed and the construction of a sports complex begins, which is provided not only for conducting training sessions with students, but also for introducing teachers and employees to physical culture and sports. In agreement with the administration of one of the city's districts, the construction of a residential building for the workers of the Russian State University of Economics in need of housing is organized.
