The rating is based on my authoritative (just kidding) opinion. The post is an exclusively subjective opinion, so I will be glad to see your opinion in the comments, but not an attack on my taste. Although for the most part my opinion coincides with all the main ratings, well, except for a couple.

This year, in my opinion, almost everyone decided not to risk it, so the track was a bit boring. But it’s harder to make a mistake and the classics are always pleasing to the eye. The majority preferred monochrome dresses: white, red, blue, pink, as in the title photo (I took the collage from the telegrams of the good morning karl channel) - powdery shades. Another big trend is shiny, metallic dresses.

But actresses from the older generation absolutely won my heart at this Oscar and many of them decided on very bright and cool exits.

The best dresses

I'll start with Lupita Nyong'o and her stunning Versace dress. In my opinion, she almost always has memorable exits. And for the Black Panther promo, her stylists generally do an amazing job. Her purple dress at the premiere of Panther, by the way, also from Versace, was in my top 5 dresses ever. All dresses on the one hand are very feminine, beautiful, regal. At the same time, in all outfits there will be some element that accurately draws analogies with the outfit of a female warrior. Absolutely perfect incarnation of her image from the "black panther". This time they did not fail again, in my opinion it looks.

Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive. I have a very restless attitude towards Kidman and her style. Sometimes I think that she is somehow ethereal and very cool. Sometimes, to me, she seems somehow awkward with a frozen facial expression. It's the same with outfits. Sometimes she chooses the classics, sometimes she chooses very bold cool outfits, and sometimes she chooses completely ridiculous. This time, Nicole also took a chance and I think she looks very cool. Especially against the backdrop of all the classic dresses. One of my favorite exits at the ceremony.

Emily Blunt. I love her very much, but at first I did not understand the outfit at all. And while I was picking up a photo, I continued to think about this exit. And now he is my favorite, especially if you take the whole look, including bomb accessories. Already, too, in hindsight, I realized that this was not a randomly chosen dress, but also, like Lupita's, it was a continuation of her on-screen image. She'll be the new Mary Poppins! Hence such a discreet, very closed cut. At the same time - the dress is not stiffly restrained. On the contrary, airy, playful, feminine. But refined and closed. A very complex shade of blue that suits Emily very well, interesting, feminine cut. The accessories that I have already noted only add more daring elegance. Schiaparelli dress. Another one of my favorites.

Paz Vega. It seems to me that in general her outfit was not appreciated, but I really liked it. Very interesting and unique dress. I would like to consider.

But now I know that the vast majority will not understand me, but .. Salma Hayek. I have already read that most gossip girls did not appreciate the dresses. This is overkill and exuberance at its best. But I can't help myself, I really like it =) Large sequins that create a visual illusion of blur, mind-blowing diamond trim for hundreds of millions. This top design is my favorite. Beautiful, bold color. I like that Salma makes full use of the unlimited possibilities of her husband, in the good sense of the word.

Well, as if on a thinner Margot, any dress of a classic cut that successfully balances her figure will look great. Pure white color in my opinion is not hers. But what kills me most of all is this lonely garland at the shoulders. Without her, it would be a completely different matter.

Another dress included in the list of the best everywhere, so I could not ignore it. But it's on my list of ambiguously bad ones, because it's already been so last season. Boring, seen this 100 times already.

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton (I was not even surprised to learn that the image is from Louis Vuitton - I never like their outfits). It's not that it's very bad, but it's incomprehensible and completely not for Oscar. The case when the idea needs to be twisted to the maximum in order to get a real couture look. For example, make a hypertrophied bow, play with accessories and a deep neckline. As my favorite telegram channel wrote "good morning, Karl" - "when you already received everything last year and you can relax."
