The most important thing is napkins with a suitable pattern or simple pictures.
Next, you will need decoupage glue. It can be replaced with simple PVA glue, which must be slightly diluted with water.

Instructions on how to make crafts using decoupage technique:

Take your base and, if necessary, clean it of dirt (such as peeling paint, paper labels, etc.).
Cover the base with a layer of acrylic paint. If you want to completely decorate the craft with a napkin, then take white paint as a substrate. If you will be gluing small elements, then draw the background of the desired color.
Cut out the part of the picture that you will glue. It is best to soak the brush in water and run it over the napkin. Tear off excess paper easily.
Coat the area on the base with glue and lean the picture.
Go over the picture with a thin layer of glue.
Let the craft dry completely.
Then pour some of the paint you used for the background onto the paper or palette, lightly dip a sponge into it and go over the edges of the pasted drawing. Movement should be light.
Cover the craft with a layer of varnish.

In specialized stores, you can immediately buy a whole batch of blank balls. More often these are plastic plain balls in the amount of 4,6,10 pieces. So, using all the advantages of the decoupage technique, you can make a whole collection of balls.

Beautiful Christmas ball: decoupage

Before you decorate the surface of the New Year's ball, you need to prepare it. Remove the wire attachment from the ball, and for convenience, firmly fasten it to the rod. Then, with fine sandpaper, you clean the sparkles from the ball (we are talking about a simple Christmas ball). The paint comes off with nail polish remover. Then rinse the ball with water, and then clean it again with sandpaper.

The underlying basis for the pictures is a primer. Add PVA glue to 30 ml of acrylic paint. This composition is applied to the workpiece with a sponge, then you leave it to dry. Then the workpiece is primed again.
Then proceed directly to decoupage. Select the desired pictures, cut out the motif and try it on the surface. In most cases, wipes are used.
Make cuts on a cut or torn picture - this will allow the image to take the shape of a ball, to avoid the formation of wrinkles.
For gluing, you can use PVA glue, which is diluted in equal proportions with water.
The drawing can be glued like this - attach the image and smear it on top with a soft-haired brush. Or glue is applied to the surface of the ball, but a New Year's motif is already glued to it.
After the ball is completely dry, it needs to be covered again with acrylic paint in order to carefully align the edge of the background and the glued picture.

After the glue dries, its rough traces are possible. They can be touched up a little with sandpaper. Well, the finishing decor will depend only on your imagination. You can add sparkles, highlight the contours of the image with paint, use glass beads.

MK: DIY Christmas balls, decoupage

There is a well-known method for decoupage of balls, not very complicated, semolina will be used in this work. If you are still completely new to decoupage, you can safely use the proposed method, it is interesting and quite affordable. At the same time and practice.

What materials do you need:

The Christmas balls themselves;
Three-layer napkins with New Year's motifs;
PVA glue;
Acrylic paints;
brushes;
Sponge;
Glossy varnish;
contours;
Semolina.

Prepare the ball as described in the previous paragraph. It must be smooth and clean. With a sponge, apply paint that is mixed with semolina, do it in a dotted way - you will get a snowy effect. In the meantime, the balls are drying, you need to prepare napkins. Separate the upper bright layer, and the pattern should be torn off along the contour. Glue it, gently smoothing the pattern from the center to the edges.

When the napkin is dry, a real artist should turn on in you. The edges of the glued drawing need to be sanded, and paint the untouched part, choosing a paint tone that is consonant with the tone of the image. To give the image volume, you can use structural paste.

Repeated coating with a layer of acrylic lacquer ball is not always necessary. Perhaps you specifically want to make textured, rough balls. Or thickly strew the ball with sparkles.

The contour painting will also be interesting. And the most original way can certainly be reverse decoupage. All manipulations are done inside the ball, which is divided into two halves. Each part can be processed in turn. The picture will be glued to the inside of the half-ball.
