How to make veined leaves

Recently, I am often asked questions about how to make paper veined leaves for cards with flowers. I will tell and show a master class (12 photos) how I personally make such sheets.
1. Cut out a piece of paper. I usually fold a piece of colored paper in half and cut out a symmetrical piece of paper at the fold.

2. Fold the sheet in half.

3. Clamp with thin sharp tweezers in the place where you want to make the vein. The tip of the tweezers should be as close to the fold of the sheet as possible.

4. Without unclenching, turn the tweezers clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever is more convenient for you.

5. It turns out a fold. Move the tweezers further and pinch.

6. Turn the tweezers again without unclenching it.

7. Repeat until you get as many folds as you need: pinch with the tip of the tweezers and turn.

You can make folds parallel, at an angle to the middle fold, or you can slightly change the angle of their inclination so that the veins seem to fan out.

You need to firmly hold the sheet in your hand so that it crumples only where you need it.

8. So we reach the end.

9. Now you can open the leaf and use it in a postcard or other craft.

In conclusion, I will give a couple of links:
In the first photo, such leaves are shown with a rose. I already wrote how to make simple paper roses for postcards -

I tried to make a greeting card with three-dimensional paper flowers. The technique is described in detail in the book "Paper Crafts Workshop: A Beginner" s Guide to Techniques & Projects.
I drew a spiral on colored paper.
I cut it out with curly scissors (waves of different types) - from edge to center.
I wound it on a thin stick, starting from the edge to the center of the spiral.
She pulled out her wand and released the spiral. She turned around a little, and it turned out to be a flower.
The center of the spiral - a small circle - bent under the bottom, glued a flower on it with thick glue.
I cut out the leaves and gently pressed the veins on the soft surface.

And I shot a video master class on these colors.

I posted a photo of how to make streaks on the leaves. I would be glad if it comes in handy for someone.
1. Cut out the leaves. Fold in half.
2. Take the tweezers and start making the clamps. First from the right side (top to bottom).
3. We make the required number of veins (clamps). Likewise on the other side. We also start from the top.
4. When the veins are done, fold the sheet in half again and clamp the middle with tweezers

September brings with it an autumn mood, but in the first weeks it gives us, instead of Indian summer with golden leaves, only a drizzle and darkened greenery. Well, it's time to take matters into our own hands and decorate the house ourselves with bright and joyful leaves.

Inspired by a post by designer and blogger Charlene about how she and her daughter made maple leaves, we decided to repeat the same thing in our office and change it to a more suitable for the season.

So n you needed: a dry branch, andquartz and ordinary office paper, narrow masking tape, red and yellow acrylic paint, floral tape and wire, sponge, bristle brush, and a palette to mix paint. All of these can be found at a hobby store near you.

The intricate shape of the maple leaf is difficult to reproduce from memory, and it turned out to be a great excuse to take a walk in the park. There was no shortage of fallen green leaves and wind-broken dry branches. By the way, if you keep the leaves better between the sheets of paper. crushed by a voluminous book (remember how we made herbariums in childhood), otherwise they will dry out from the dry house air.

Finally, we got to work. To begin with, outlined the leaves with a pencil. For the experiment, we chose two types of paper: watercolor and thin, for the printer.

Cut out future leaves along the contour.

From floristic wire (this is a thin metal vein wrapped in colored paper) "veins" were twisted to strengthen the leaf and create a petiole for it.

At first we thought the veins could be simply glued on, but that turned out to be a bad idea. Firstly, the glue refused to hold them tightly, and secondly, the bare wire looked very unnatural on the sheet. Therefore, masking tape was used.

The leaves are cut, the veins are glued on - it's time to mix the colors. We tried several shades, and came to the conclusion that there is no need to be smart: pure red and yellow colors are enough.

The paint was applied with a sponge: it can quickly cover the entire sheet with paint and make beautiful spots on it. In addition, a child can easily cope with it if you do this project together. The sponge can be replaced with a bristle brush, but then it is worth applying the paint not smearing, but in vertical movements, just like with a sponge. For greater naturalism, you can draw veins on the leaf with a thin brush and darker paint (in maple, they diverge in different directions from the petiole itself).

The watercolor paper, as it should, behaved well and did not curl even under a few thick layers of paint. "Printer", on the other hand, easily curled from moisture, so it was difficult to paint the leaves. But after drying, small leaves began to look like real ones. Conclusion: for large sheets of paper, larger (10 cm in diameter), take watercolor paper, for small ones, you can do with ordinary paper.

Hooray, our leaves are ready! The most difficult thing left is to attach them to the branch. We tried to tie them with a wire petiole, and attach them with masking tape, and to hide the docking place we used floral tape. It is crumpled waxed paper, slightly sticky and reminiscent of the color and texture of the surface of a branch or stem. Our brown tape turned out to be exactly the same color as the branch, and so sticky that small leaves could be wrapped directly with it.

How to make autumn leaves out of paper with your own hands (3 ways + templates).

Autumn is probably the most colorful season of the year, and precisely because the leaves of trees and shrubs are painted in bright colors. For many people, autumn leaves are often a source of creative inspiration.

Autumn leaves are a beautiful, but not very durable material, so you can make them out of paper with your own hands.

How to make autumn leaves with your own hands

One way to make fall leaves is to cut them out of colored paper, preferably double-sided. The edges of small leaves can be cut with curly scissors.

Leaves brought home from a walk are suitable as a template. But if the craft needs to be done urgently, and there is no way to collect them, then here are the leaf templates specially for blog readers "MORE creative ideas for children" :)

All leaves, except for oak, are symmetrical, so they are applied with a dotted line to the fold line of a sheet of colored paper folded in half. After cutting, straighten the leaf and cut off the excess part of the twig.

The maple leaf template is in the article.

Another way to make autumn leaves with your own hands is to put the leaves brought from a walk with the convex side of the veins up (the color of the leaves is not important, but Rita and I chose small leaves by size), cover them with a sheet of ordinary office paper, and shade with pastel crayons or very soft pencils matching colors(we used watercolor pencils).

The contours of the leaf and the veins will themselves appear in the drawing.

Leaves of different colors can be made from the same sample.

You can paint solid leaves, or you can use several colors for one sheet.

In order for the leaves to turn out to be more delicate (so that only the veins of the leaves are printed), almost no pressure is needed on the pencil, and the pastel chalk should be kept flat.

Cut the finished leaves.

And another way to make bright colorful leaves with your own hands is to print with leaves.

Cover the real sheet with paint with a brush (you can use several shades of the same color or even several different colors).

Apply the colored side to a sheet of paper. Press firmly with your hands, being careful not to move.

Carefully remove the colored sheet from the paper by the petiole.

If you make another print with the same sheet, without covering it with more paint, you get a more openwork sheet.

In the same way, Rita and I did and. We also painted squirrels and bunnies for this landscape using leaf prints.

And about what can be made from such leaves, read the article.

Enjoy your creativity! Especially for blog readers "MORE creative ideas for children"(https: // site), sincerely yours, Julia Sherstyuk

Hello dear readers. Recently, I was so imbued with scrapbooking, creating postcards. Probably, for me, this is an occupation from which I get great pleasure. I am very glad, on the blog, to share the creation of flowers, leaflets, postcards. I am learning, so my stories and master classes will be more for beginners than for professionals. But it all starts with the first step, even the longest path. You gradually improve and you get beautiful works. When you become imbued with something, it becomes a part of you. I think creative people will understand me.

I am very happy when beauty is born in the form of a beautiful postcard. The occupation is new for me, but very interesting. A large pile of postcards has already been collected. My daughter offers to make an exhibition.))) This activity is "for the soul", when I make postcards, I have a rest. An interesting lesson.)))

Each time you collect knowledge bit by bit, you create beautiful things. Today I have simple rose paper sheets. I made a master class for you. I'll tell you how I make rose leaves.

Leaves of paper for a rose. Master Class. Scrapbooking

To create the leaves, I need green paper. My last purchases were not limited to one dark green paper color.

I buy paper at a craft store. My paper is double-sided, thick.

I also need a simple pencil and scissors.

You can use a template or cutting to create leaflets. I will draw the leaves by hand. So far I haven’t acquired felling for myself.

On a piece of green paper, I draw a rose leaf with a simple pencil. I cut out a piece of paper with scissors. I save paper very much))

Recently, prices are constantly being raised for materials. I don’t know about you. Tell me where you can profitably purchase materials for scrapbooking, if you know.

I take different photos to make it clear how I fold the piece of paper. First you need to fold and then unfold the leaf. So it turns out such a "miracle leaf". Very believable in my opinion.

I was taught to make such sheets at a master class that our daughter attended in the summer. I asked the teacher a question and received step-by-step instructions. For which I was very grateful to her. Now I make the leaves just like that.

As a result, the leaves are very similar to the leaves of a rose, with veins. I use different shades of green paper to create the leaves. The leaves are gorgeous.

If you make leaves for roses in a different way, then share how you do it below in the comments.

Rosettes, I make different ones, I have shared this option on the blog so far. As it turns out, doing it is not at all difficult, as I previously thought. It is with the flowers that I glue the leaves on the postcards. It looks super!

Handicraft workshop - working with paper

This work can be done with older children in the fall. It can serve as a decoration for both the group and the music hall. Children are happy to do this work, seeing the result of their work.

Master class on the theme "Autumn garland"

Lecture hall: the master class is designed for children 6-7 years old.

Appointment: a garland can be a decoration for a parent's corner in the fall

Target: learn to do work using different materials

Tasks:

1. Continue to teach children to fold a sheet of paper in the way - accordion

2. Strengthen the ability to work with scissors.

3. Develop fine motor skills

Material:

Colored paper

PVA glue

Scissors

Template for leaves

Ruler, pencil

Progress:

If it's autumn, everyone knows

leaves are walking in the sky,

The leaves are different in color:

yellow and red.

To make the first leaflet, we need:

1. Two pieces of paper that we fold in half

2. Then on this piece of paper we draw a diagonal

3. Make a cut along the drawn line and fold the resulting triangle into an accordion.

4. Take a piece of thread (30 cm) and tie it in the middle of the accordion.

5. By gluing the long sides, we get an autumn leaf

Making a maple leaf. For this we need:

6. A sheet folded in half (see point 1), a special template that we put on this sheet.

7. Cut along the contour and fold the resulting workpiece into an accordion.

8. Just as when performing the first leaf, we take a thread and tie in the middle of the accordion

9. We receive such a sheet.

We make the third type of leaves:

10. Fold two sheets of paper in half, draw a diagonal (as in point 2) and draw "teeth".

11. Repeating paragraphs 3 and 4, we get:

12. Glue the two sides and get the finished sheet.

13. By fastening the made leaves, we get a garland that can be hung in a group

Or you can collect three leaves together, getting one big one, as you like.
