Next, we continue to knit the TULE hats - with thick yarn I got 11 rows. We knit the hat to the depth you need.

But we divide the occipital part so that before the seam and after we get the same number of loops. Therefore, we start dividing the loops from the back of the head.

We counted all the loops, divided by 5, got the number of loops and counted from the seam in both directions, mark with contrasting threads or paper clips, then the ears and then 2 parts remain on the forehead.

Number of loops of the cap / 5 = Number of loops in the 1st part. Then we count half of the loops from the seam in both directions, mark with a thread on the cap - this is 1 part.

For beginners, consider the simplest option, but it is not the only one.

Start knitting both ears from the same sides and knit in turning rows, decreasing on each side on the 2nd loop, i.e. 1st we knit RLS.
