Square or rectangular

Next, you need to bend the corners inward from the middle of the sheet height to the marks made. Fix the resulting corner with strips of adhesive tape and cover the gift with it.
Now it remains to arrange two sidewalls in the package. Bend the top of the wrapping paper inwards, forming neat "ears" in the form of triangles.
Then fold the triangles over and secure with duct tape.
It remains to slightly tuck the edge at the bottom of the remaining part and also lay it inside and stick it on adhesive tape. The same is done on the other side.

You can beautifully pack a thing not only in a box, but also without it. To do this, you should choose more dense grades of wrapping paper. And the sequence of actions is as follows:

Prepare a sheet about twice the size of the present. Place the present vertically in the center.
Wrap it with the left and right side of the wrapper. It is important not to push through the fold lines!
Sew the bottom of the resulting bundle with threads, stepping back from the wrapped object and leaving about 1.5-2 cm of paper after the seam. You can sew the seam either manually or with a sewing machine.
Lay the bundle on its side and smooth the side folds on its upper cut. You have got the top edge perpendicular to the bottom, and the package itself has become voluminous.
Along the top cut, you also need to lay a seam.
