What things to take with you to the camp site? List of personal belongings and equipment for winter trekking

It got cold outside the window. This means that the winter hiking season is approaching. Someone spends their winter weekends on a warm sofa in front of the TV, and someone, despite the howling wind and minus on the thermometer, calmly packs up a backpack and goes on a hike! It is not too late to join the winter trek to Lake Baikal along a wonderful route!

Let's take a close look at this brave man. Namely, what is he wearing? Because there is nothing more important in a winter hike than a comfortable state of the body in conditions close to extreme. And accordingly, you need to carefully choose clothes and equipment for a winter hike.

How to dress for your winter hike?

Let's figure out what to take with us on a winter hike so as not to freeze and feel as comfortable as possible.

Layered clothing

Our fearless hiker is dressed "like a cabbage." The fact is that in the presence of several layers of clothing in a winter hike, he will be able to regulate his insulation according to weather conditions and the level of physical activity. In addition, several layers of clothing, due to the air layers between them, heat better than one.

Closer to the body

Underwear is a very important factor in anti-freezing. It must quickly wick moisture away from the surface of the body so that the skin remains dry and the body does not cool down. On our hiker - winter thermal underwear, synthetic, with the addition of wool and cotton fibers.

Insulating layer

These are non-body-fitting clothing (remember the air layers) made of wool, fleece, polar.

Skiers and snowboarders

Although our hiker does not go in for alpine skiing or snowboarding, he wears ski clothes on a winter trip (a hammer, a suit) with pleasure. After all, she is: warm, waterproof, windproof, ventilated, beautiful!

Don't forget your down jacket!

A down jacket is an indispensable item in parking lots. However, in no case should you wet it - you won't be able to dry it out on a campaign.

Head

Through the surface of the head, the human body loses 80% of its heat, so our hiker remembers the most important advice of mothers and grandmothers and does not take off his hat even at night in a tent. He has 2 light ski caps with him and one warm one for the evening. And also, in case of strong wind or frost - balaclava.

Winter hiking shoes

The feet are always the first to freeze. Therefore, you need to take care of the dryness and warmth of the lower extremities thoroughly. There are two of the most common causes of frostbite on the feet: poor blood circulation (for example, from shoes that are too tight or tight) and getting wet feet due to condensation (poorly chosen socks) or snow / rain getting inside the boot. But our hiker thought of everything: he uses special thermal socks (remember our ski friends), warm insoles.

For a winter hike, you need strong boots made of breathable material one size larger (so that you can wear extra or woolen socks) and, attention, shoe covers! Shoe covers for winter hiking are a cover made of thick fabric that is worn over the boot and protects it from getting wet and snow. Do not stay in wet socks and boots for a long time, especially in parking lots - you should definitely have spare shoes for your winter hikes. To protect your boots from getting wet quickly, treat them with special water-repellent impregnations before the hike.

Arms

Mittens are best suited for winter hikes, you will not believe, ski and snowboard gloves! The longer their cuffs, the less snow will fall under the sleeves. You can wear thin fleece gloves under them, but if your fingers start to freeze, then it is better to wear mittens - let your fingers warm each other!

Snow is often encountered when hiking in the Caucasus Mountains, so this article will help you choose equipment for summer hikes.

What else do you need to take with you on your winter hike?

What can our winter traveler need? What additional equipment do I need for a winter hike?

Sunglasses. The sun's rays, reflected from the snow, sometimes affect the eyes more strongly than in summer. Instead of glasses, you can take a ski mask - it will also protect from the wind.

Hygienic lipstick, sunscreen and chapping cream. Expect your face to turn red after your winter hike, even if the sun never peeked out. You need to use fatty creams. Avoid moisturizers, because the water they contain freezes at freezing temperatures and harms the skin.

Additional set of batteries. In the cold, the batteries drain 2-3 times faster, so take care of the power supply of your camera and flashlight.

Thermos with hot tea. What could be more pleasant than drinking a cup of hot tea with currant jam and herbs, without looking for frozen firewood under the snow and without trying to light it up? And after having drunk some tea, you can and over the firewood!

Considering the peculiarities of winter hiking, here are some more tips for our tireless traveler.

If you feel that your hands and feet are starting to freeze, switch from wet gloves and socks to dry ones and get active. The most effective way is to lean forward and rotate with straight arms in a vertical plane. Centrifugal force will increase blood flow to your hands and keep them warm. For the legs - holding onto a tree, rotate with a straight leg with maximum amplitude. Then rotate with the other leg.

Do not dry your clothes and boots on the fire! If you are lucky and it does not burn, then, firstly, the structure of the fabric will change (synthetic fibers will melt), and secondly, until the end of the hike you will smell like an open can of sprat. And, perhaps, after the hike ...

It is best to dry your clothes ... on your stomach. During the night on your stomach, you can safely dry socks, gloves, a hat.

To keep your feet warm at night, sleep in woolen socks on your bare leg and additionally wrap them in a down jacket. Remember that even wet wool continues to warm.

You should not put on all your clothes before going to bed, the less clothes you wear, the warmer you sleep. But do not undress at all! It is best to stay in thermal underwear, and put your clothes under the sleeping bag and cover it over the sleeping bag. Better yet, sleeping together in twin sleeping bags.

Winter hikes are a pleasure for persistent and courageous people, because it is impossible to get used to the cold. However, the right clothes and equipment for winter hiking will help you not to be distracted by freezing limbs and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the majestic nature. The tour - climbing Elbrus, although it takes place in the summer, requires no less careful selection of equipment than winter hikes.

So. Of course, the best option can only be just glue the closet with tape and all of it with you and carry, and in hand luggage - a chest of drawers. But since all this will have to be carried exclusively by us, and the penalty for overloading will quite noticeably hit the pocket, which can be emptied with much greater pleasure in Duty-Free, we are forced to abandon this brilliant idea. And the car's wheels may go apart.

First we need suitcase... Big. Biggest. And we decide what to take. Please note that there is no washing machine in the rooms, so you will have to do the little things by yourself during the day (in the evening you should not do the washing, by God!). Therefore, you need to take beautiful, but practical things (evening dresses do not count!)

Now look at purpose of your trip and the company with which you will go, and if you managed to go in splendid isolation, then on the average mass of people who will surround you (it is easy to estimate this from the reviews about the proposed vacation, and, in fact, at the price of the rest). It would be foolish to wear a luxurious evening dress and an emerald necklace, or jeans with a jumper at a social event every evening at the camp site.

So we take clothes according to the planned activities. If you go for walks in the cold - sweaters, jeans, preferably waterproof pants and a sports jacket - what if someone puts you in a snowdrift? If there is a banquet, then you cannot do without an evening dress. What it will be - here the imagination of fashion designers and designers is limitless and it all depends on your desires and preferences and the advice of astrologers.

What to take from the shoes? What to walk down the street is entirely up to you, but walking around the room in boots is not the best option. Not only is it inconvenient, but water and snow from them will spread throughout the house or room. Better to leave them to dry in the hallway, and take slippers with you.

Keep in mind that even with the tightest packing of your clothes in your suitcase, something will wrinkle. In this case, I advise you to take a small "camping" iron... It does not take much space, but there are a lot of benefits. A hair dryer for high-speed drying of hair is also necessary for us like air - naturally, foldable. You can temporarily leave your favorite professional at home.

Cosmetics... I think two kilograms for this type of luggage should still be enough for you?

It seems that I clarified all the moments vital for a woman and I hope that my small sketches will be useful to you. Have a nice trip and pleasant stay!

Things and equipment for winter trekking much heavier, more specific and significantly more expensive than for a summer one. Much has come to tourism from mountaineering, where different know-how and high technologies are being tested with might and main. Now all these innovations have become available to a wide range of tourists: light, comfortable and expensive.

Previously, tourists made everything themselves, from improvised means, but all these homemade products do not stand next to high-tech branded products that seriously make life easier.

The temperature range in winter is very wide: from -25 to + 10. Accordingly, clothing should be versatile and at the same time light and compact.

Below are lists of equipment and things you really need to take with you. Everything else can be safely left at home. I draw your attention, only PERSONAL EQUIPMENT... Group (gas burners and cylinders, boilers, shovel, campfire equipment, awnings, GPS, etc.) - how much and what - the conductor decides, depending on the specific conditions. And he takes it himself, then distributes it among the participants in the campaign.

Equipment:

Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, rugs, bowl, spoon, mug, knife, sun glasses (ski mask), raincoat, backpack cover, plastic bottle 1-1.5 l, thermos, flashlight, shoe covers or leggings, snowshoes (skis ), trekking poles, personal first aid kit (if necessary, do not duplicate the composition of the group first aid kit), hygiene products, toilet paper (half a roll), camera, mobile phone, money and documents.

Things:

Shoes, a hat, gloves, thermal underwear, 2 fleece jackets, a membrane jacket with a hood, wind or membrane pants, fleece pants, self-discharge pants (or just warm pants), a warm puffer jacket, a windproof mask (balaclava), socks, a small book ...

It is very convenient to pack all things in a hermo bag. So they will decrease in volume by 1.5-2 times and never get wet. The bags are sold at tourist shops. There are different sizes: S, M, L. Take M (15L).

Now about everything in detail.

Equipment.

Backpack... Optimal for men is 75-90 liters, for women 50-60 liters. Backpacks with a frame and a waist belt remove 70-95% of the load from the spine and transfer it directly to the legs through the hips. The stiffer the frame and the strap, the better the shoulders are relieved. Here are some estimates from my own experience: The Deuter Aircontact backpack (weight 3kg) is very rigid, takes up to 95% of the weight off the spine, and is suitable for carrying loads up to 25kg. Deuter Act Lite (2.1kg) and Osprey Kestrel (1.8kg) will remove up to 80%, suitable for loads up to 18kg. If you do not have serious back problems (curvature, stoop), take a lighter backpack.
All things must fit inside the backpack. Attached outside can get wet, get lost and burst on bushes. The outside can only be strengthened. It is better to place it in a special cover so that it does not fight against the branches.

Tent... There are no options. Only winter, two-layer with a fabric bottom and aluminum arches, with a vestibule. The bottom is made of polyethylene, reinforced with polypropylene fibers and fiberglass arches become brittle in frost below -10. Good options are "2 + 1" for three and "3 + 1" for four. Take a tent that is filled to capacity with people, the lowest one (less space to warm up and good wind resistance) - this is warmer, more reliable and easier.

Sleeping bag... Winter, with a comfort temperature of -7 ° and below. Weighing no more than 2 kg.

Mat(he is karemat, foam). The best option is an inflatable mat plus a foam mat. The easiest option is two regular foam rugs. One will definitely be cold. And taking one inflatable, even a thick winter one, is dumb, often pierced.

Sun goggles (ski mask). For protection from ultraviolet radiation, wind and snowstorm. Preferably slightly darkened or completely transparent, but with 100% UV protection. If the glasses are like bicycle ones, they are streamlined in shape that do not reduce the view. There are special branded ones for $ 50-100. In specialized tool stores, streamlined protective goggles appeared, not inferior in elegance to conventional sunglasses. With durable plastic lenses, good transparency and 100% UV protection. Only $ 5-20.

Bowl, mug, spoon, knife. As a bowl, a plastic container with a lid with a capacity of 0.5-1l is best. It is convenient to steam oatmeal and noodles in it. You can store and carry different products.
The mug is made of stainless steel for 250-400 ml. A thermo mug (with double walls) is undesirable - it is heavy and you won't heat anything in it. If there is a fire nearby, then even in winter the thermo mug is not needed. It is better not to take plastic mugs - they often break and melt.
Spoon - ordinary, preferably dessert, made of stainless steel. It is 2 times lighter than a dining room. It is better not to take wooden and plastic options - they break and burn. No fork and teaspoon needed at all.
Knife - you need 2 pieces per group. Regular, small folding. I take a small Swiss one with different bottle openers and a corkscrew. You don't have to take the knife at all. And my one is enough in case of emergency, if no one takes it. There will be nowhere to use a large hunting knife.

Shoe covers or leggings... Needed to protect shoes and feet from water, snow and sharp ice. Shoe covers - with their own sole, upper made of durable fabric. High, up to the knees. The leg, together with the boot, is put on a shoe cover. There are branded expensive, but you can make it yourself. See instructions for making shoe covers. Any footwear is suitable under the shoe covers, even urban ones, if only they are warm and comfortable. If you have good modern mountain or trekking boots ($ 200-500) with all the bells and whistles - breathable Gore-Tex, warming Polartec, etc., then there remains the problem of protecting the joint of the boot and pants from snow. Then you can limit yourself to leggings. These are shoe covers without a sole, a pipe made of durable fabric, attached to the boot with a hook and a strap (under the sole), under the knee is tightened with a cord so that they do not slip. Ready for sale for $ 10-15. You can do it yourself. Nothing complicated.

Snowshoes (skis)... If the snow on the route is deep, and this is usually known in advance, then it would be good to take snowshoes. The previously tested many home-made ones completely pale before the branded "TSL" ($ 150-300). They are also equipped with spikes, replacing crampons on ice and firn. But it is desirable for the whole group to be in snowshoes. It is not possible to trail in a snowshoe, it is even better to walk in a line, and not a trail in a trail. Therefore, if there are less than 3-4 people without snowshoes, it will be hard for them. And the division of the group is bad. Take skis if you have experience of using them. It usually does not work to learn on a hike, so they will ride on you. Without sufficient experience, you can only walk on a level, and up or down - faster on foot. And we almost never walk on an even road ...

Trekking poles. Poles significantly reduce stress on the ankle, knees and spine. They also help to keep balance on descents and ascents. Very helpful in traversing the slope. In the parking lot they serve as racks for awnings and tents. Take the foldable ones from the three sections. Do not forget to take the wide snow stops, like with ski poles.

A raincoat, a cape for a backpack... Even in winter, rain is not uncommon. The cheapest raincoat is a polyethylene raincoat for $ 0.5-2. But such quickly break on branches and stones. You need to have at least 2 pieces. For a hike, it is better to have a special poncho made of lightweight tent fabric that covers a person with a backpack ($ 30-50). Does not restrict movement, is well ventilated (ideal sweat wicking). The disadvantage is a large volume, clings to branches.

The use of a rain jacket paired with rain pants or a raincoat worn under a backpack when walking with a backpack is unacceptable. The body gives off too much moisture, which does not evaporate through the rain cover. As a result, you will get wet inside no less than from the rain. Another thing in the parking lot - the jacket fits.

Thermos and empty plastic bottle... During the day we do not heat water for lunch. Therefore, hot drink must be prepared at breakfast and carried in a thermos. Enough 0.7 - 1.0 liters per person. Shatterproof stainless steel is optimal. Arrange a suitability test for your thermos: pour a full boiling water, tighten all the lids, just do not put on the cover (if any). Leave at room temperature. After 5 hours, the water temperature should not drop below 72-75 ° (you won't burn your finger, but don't hold it for more than 1 second), after 9 hours - at least 64 ° (don't hold your finger for more than 2-3 seconds). If it cools down faster, this is not a thermos. A plastic bottle is needed to collect and transport water in the parking lot. Enough for 1-1.5 liters per person.

Flashlight... LED head torch. Even if you don't have one, be sure to buy it. Best of all - on one high-power LED. Insert fresh alkaline (alkaline) batteries, or rechargeable batteries, no spare is needed. Important! When transporting or carrying a backpack, remove the batteries from the flashlight (especially from cheap ones) to avoid accidental activation.

First aid kit... Of course, the conductor will have a first aid kit. Its composition is here: a first aid kit. If you need additional medicines, take them yourself.
If you have frequent problems with calluses or joints, tendons, take a plaster and an elastic bandage for yourself personally. Plaster in a roll 4-5 cm wide on a fabric base, without pads.

Hygiene products... A small piece of 30-40 gr is enough soap. Toothbrush, no toothpaste (it will freeze and not squeeze out of the tube). Hand and face cream, hygienic lipstick - the face and lips are badly weathered from habit. Packaging of wet wipes - they can be washed if you don't feel like going into cold water.

Toilet paper... Enough half a roll per person.

Camera. There will be nowhere to charge the equipment. Therefore, take spare batteries or save existing ones. You do not need to take a photo tripod.

Mobile phone... For security reasons, everyone should have a mobile phone. In a separate waterproof package. Fully charged and with money in the account. There will be nowhere to charge it. It is advisable to take a power bank.

Important numbers that may come in handy during the hike (my phones and the guide's phones first of all), write down on paper and put it not with money. For insurance against different cases.

Money and documents... Mandatory Passport or a document replacing it. Store money and documents in separate waterproof packaging.

Things.

Shoes... She needs to be given special attention. It is advisable that these were special trekking or mountain high boots. Their sole has good grip on wet and dry stones, ice, ground. Extra strong leather upper, securely glued and sewn to the sole. Inside there is usually a Gore-Tex membrane to drain excess moisture. Such shoes are not sold on the market, only in sports stores, better in tourist ones.

Choose the size so that even in two warm socks there is free space for wiggling your toes.

Never take new shoes on a hike. Be sure to walk in it for several days, it is better to run or play active games. In short, you need to spread. If it turns out that the size is not the same, wash it with a sponge and change it. Hiking shoes will not lose their new look even after a few days of wearing. I did this more than once. The main thing is to save and replace all the tags.

If you buy or make shoe covers with galoshes, they will be paired with ordinary reliable city boots.

Warm hat, gloves... Warm hat, best of all - fleece. The budget option is acrylic. The hood of the jacket should be worn on it.

Gloves (preferably mittens) - 2 pairs. Suitable for ski - nylon with insulation. You can use fleece or other warm ones, and on top, if necessary, wear "tops" - made of waterproof fabric to protect from wind and water.

Thermal underwear... Camping clothes must not contain cotton. It retains a lot of moisture and dries poorly. Better synthetics. Polyester is ideal. Thermal underwear is usually sold as a set - long sleeve top and pants. There are different thicknesses (respectively, heat). For versatility, you can take the average. It will always be on you, day and night. When wet, it dries quickly directly on the body.

Alternatively, a polyester golf or long-sleeved T-shirt and acrylic (but not very) warm tights are suitable.

Fleece jackets... Fleece (Polara, Polartec) is a godsend for a tourist. Retains very little moisture. If you just squeeze it, it is already dry to the touch and heats up. Take 2 pieces. During the day, at the transition, you will put on one fleece jacket directly on the thermal underwear, both at the parking lot. Both or at least one should be with a chin-length collar.

Jacket with a hood... Jacket made of durable fabric, with an inner skirt against snow and wind, drawstrings on the sleeves, with mesh lining, no insulation. Waterproof and breathable (with membrane). Will wear a fleece jacket during transitions and parking.

Wind pants... Made of durable fabric, waterproof and breathable, no insulation. With drawstring skirts at the bottom. Will wear thermal underwear or fleece pants during transitions.

Fleece pants... They are good to sleep in, and in extreme cold they dress instead of or together with thermal underwear during the transition. In the temperature range -5 + 5, I wear thermal underwear and fleece pants without wind pants. If you don’t find it, you can buy a piece of fleece and have your pants sewn in a tailor shop. The simplest, with an elastic band, no pockets.

Pants - self-dumping... Convenient in frosts below -10. Warm pants like a ski bib with zippers on the sides. Dress without taking off your shoes on top of everything. They are used in parking lots and halts. Instead, you can take ski pants or semi-overalls, or even simple puffy pants with padding polyester insulation.

Warm jacket - puff... It is needed when the frost is below -10. Weighing up to 600g. If it is not completely cold, it will also go on a padding polyester. Wears over everything in parking lots and halts.

Windproof mask (balaclava). Wears under a hat in a strong cold wind. It is a sleeve with a large opening for the entire face, going down to the shoulders.

Socks... Fleece or trekking warm. 3 pairs. I used to use woolen "grandmother's knitting" for sleeping, but the slightest wetness makes them cold, and then they dry for a long time. Cotton and linen in socks are strictly unacceptable. Wool is acceptable, but not more than 35%. We also recommend taking warm membrane socks. The foot will be almost dry and most importantly warm, even if the water in the boot squishes. Also, it is very comfortable to cross cold rivers in such socks. We have tested Dex Shell firms, not to say that it is expensive and the quality is good.

Which is definitely not worth taking.

Axes, hunting knives. Not needed everywhere. If necessary, the instructor will take it himself.

Towel. We will not swim anyway.

Guitar... First, you won't be able to play with gloves. Secondly, it may not be able to withstand the temperature difference.

Winter in Europe is quite unpredictable, which makes collecting things more difficult. Here you can see last year's weather in the desired city and roughly estimate what awaits you on the trip.

Luggage selection

Before you start packing, you need to decide whether you will be trying to cram everything into your backpack or if you will take a large suitcase with you. I always carry a backpack, but many of my friends prefer rolling bags. Both options have pros and cons.

Let's figure it out.

Suitcase / bag

  • It will be torture if you walk far from the bus / subway stop to the hotel and the inner toad will not allow you to call a taxi. By the way, sidewalks are not ideal everywhere in Europe.
  • When stuffing your bag, remember that you will have to carry it around the stairs and crowded streets.
  • It is best to take a suitcase with two powerful wheels. Four-wheel drive is great for airports and smooth surfaces, but unbearable on rougher terrains.
  • The suitcase is the perfect travel companion for the winter sales.

Backpack

  • Travel backpacks are great because they are easy to walk up stairs, in a crowd, and hands free.
  • On the other hand, a bunch of all sorts of crap behind your back can get mad in just 3-4 hours.
  • You should not take a backpack the size of a school - it will not be allowed in your hand luggage anyway. We recommend a volume of 45 liters.

A little about layers

Experienced guys will always choose several different sweaters instead of one huge sweater. This is the main secret (if anyone did not know).

This method helps you stay warm without bringing along sweaters that take up all the space in your bag.

  1. The base layer is the lowest. Designed to absorb your sweat.
  2. The middle layer is regular clothing. For example, shirt, sweatshirt, long sleeve, sweatshirt.
  3. The outer layer is a "protective shell" from wind, rain and snow. A membrane jacket is ideal.

Shoes

You can leave all these trendy "Adidas" and "Nike" at home (or put it on the plane), but you should not walk in such shoes. Buy yourself waterproof boots. European winters are cold and rainy / wet snow, precipitation is guaranteed.

Never take brand new shoes on your trip, be sure to carry them around. Buy a pair of insoles for extra comfort. Superfeets are not bad.

  • Timberland
  • Native
  • Fracap
  • Caterpillar
  • The north face

Now about clothes

Slim down jacket

It folds into a tiny handbag (about 30x15 cm) and warms up perfectly under the jacket. Those who once bought one for themselves consider it to be their most rational purchase in life.

Thermal underwear

The best is with merino wool. It absorbs moisture perfectly, removes odor / bacteria and dries quickly. Unfortunately, such things are quite expensive, but they serve for a long time.

You can also choose something synthetic. The main thing is to avoid cotton items (this also applies to socks), because cotton does not absorb sweat. In the case of socks, this leads to calluses and icy feet. By the way, thermal underwear can also become your pajamas (don't forget about the situation with heating in Europe).

Sports trousers

Which rustle. They will not get wet in the rain, and they are also really hard to get smeared with. Many brands have very good options that don't look too sporty.

Woolen trousers

It will be needed if you want to look more elegant, but not sacrifice warmth. The main thing is that it doesn't rain.

Fleece sweatshirt

It is not worse than wool in terms of warmth, but at the same time it is lighter and takes up less space in the bag.

Cashmere sweater

It takes up little space, fiercely warms, but costs like a pre-purchased ticket. By the way, cashmere items can be snatched at a Christmas sale at an incredibly large discount.

Flannel shirt

A very warm thing that looks cozy and cute. Especially checkered.

Several scarves and hats

(advice for ladies)

Only if there is an extra place left! Thanks to the change of accessories, you will be at least a little more diverse in your photos.

Where can I buy

Icebreaker, Patagonia, Under Armor, Uniqlo (HeatTech range), Burton, Roxy (girls only). Something can be found in Decathlon.

Probably, girls would like something more beautiful - their favorite ugg boots, leggings and long sweatshirts-dresses. But alas, in winter travel you need to be more adequate than beautiful.

Shurushki you might have forgotten

Going to rest out of town with a family, each of us tries to foresee all possible troubles in advance and take the maximum of necessary things. But the needs of men and women are very different. Often, preparation for a trip to a camp site develops into a family quarrel.

Space in backpacks is limited, you won't be able to put too much in them. It is necessary to decide what to take with you to the recreation center from the essentials. What exactly can you need, and what can you refuse and leave it at home? After all, a passenger car is used for the trip, not a truck.

What do you have to take to the camp site without fail?

Much depends on the remoteness of the base from the city and the availability of shops and pharmacies nearby. But the minimum set should be as follows:

  • mini first aid kit with hydrogen peroxide, adhesive plaster and bandage;
  • allergy tablets and activated charcoal;
  • personal hygiene products (towel, toothbrushes and toothpaste for them, soap and toilet paper);
  • clothes for the season and a pair of warm clothes just in case;
  • rain cover for yourself and a backpack (the weather is changeable);
  • when traveling in summer, swimwear and swimming trunks, as well as mosquito sprays;
  • phone charger, or better a spare battery.

In most cases, the recreation center offers its own tableware. However, owning a folding knife in his pocket has not stopped anyone yet. Yes, and not taking up much space and a light set of plastic plates, cups and spoons is also better to take.

What else should you bring with you?

If you are planning an excursion trip along the route in the mountains or through the forest with an overnight stay in a tent, then you need to take care of the presence of sleeping bags and tourist rugs on the ground. Clothing should be appropriate for planned leisure activities and footwear should be comfortable. You should definitely not take high-heeled shoes for such a holiday.

What else to take with you to the camp site in addition to the above? Sunscreens, a map of the area, a small hatchet, a compass, and matches or a lighter will do the trick. For a child in nature, it is imperative to grab toys by age and a bottle of boiled water.

Adults will need a guitar and a ball, as well as a barbecue and skewers. It all depends on the plans. In addition, it is worth taking a powerful lantern, firewood and liquid for ignition with you to the recreation center. It is better to leave all electronic gadgets in the city, they go to nature for clean air and beauty around, and not for playing games on a tablet. The maximum is a camera and a camera for filming.
