Universal Ubtan Recipe:

In contact with

Good day, Mikrushanochki! Let's talk about cleansing the skin? How do you cleanse your skin? For me, the usual remedy is foam for washing and shower gel. Recently, I received a new product for me for testing - UBTAN, what it is I did not know before, so I am sharing with you information about Ubtan, how to use my reviews and impressions.

Ubtan - what is it

I think that for many this word is new, as it was for me 2 weeks ago. I'm telling you! Ubtan is a natural cosmetics for daily cleansing of the face and body skin. They consist of medicinal plants ground into a fine powder, various types of flour, clay and spices. The product gently cleanses the exfoliated skin, nourishes, supplying vitamins and nutrients.

On my test I had orange ubtan with chamomile and calendula, its action is aimed at restoring skin elasticity, moisturizing it and protecting it from the harmful effects of the environment. The composition contains zest, which has an anti-cellulite effect and fights against irregularities and cellulite. Vitamin C is responsible for the natural radiance and smoothness of the skin. White clay and turmeric restore the skin's moisture balance and improve blood circulation.

In fact, UBTAN is such a flour-like mass in a beautiful ECO bag, which must be soaked with water and used to wash your face and wash your body. The smell of Orange Ubtan is very specific, it was expected that it would smell like an orange, but no, if the orange is still faintly felt in dry form, then in soaked it is more likely oats and chamomile. When water is added, part of the product flows into the drain, but in general it is possible to apply it to the skin. Feels like a soft-soft scrub.

Orange ubtan, reviews

For me, Orange Ubtan has a number of features:

  • Too specific smell
  • Not very convenient application, you need to pour it separately into your hand or a container before taking a shower (and I have a shower stall) and immediately wash or ask someone to pour it while taking a shower, if you first need to wash your hair.
  • After use, you have to wash the sink from the remnants of ubtan.

BUT. With all these complexities - Ubtane makes the skin wonderfully smooth and velvety... Feeling like taking a shower with moisturizing gel and applying cream. That is, the procedure for applying the cream is replaced by a specific bathing with ubtan diluted with water. It is difficult - yes, I will continue to use it - yes, too, because I like the result, but I hope I will get used to the smell!

And by the way, ubtan can be diluted with different liquids (water, oils, milk and even yogurt) and to different consistencies, turning it from a cleanser into useful masks. There are 5 types of ubtan: Orange, Lavender, Coconut, Eucalyptus and Mint.

Are you already familiar with the ubtans? Want to try?

The face requires a special attitude towards itself, because from the very morning we put all kinds of cosmetics on it and subject it to the weather all day long, and we wash our face thoroughly only before going to bed.

True, it is not always possible to remove impurities from the face and completely cleanse the skin and pores. That is why various rashes, peeling and other unpleasant indicators can appear on the face.

For over 5 thousand years, Hindus have been using ubtan for skin care. This drug is an excellent substitute for soap, masks and various scrubs that are used to cleanse the body and face.

In India you will not find a remedy like soap. They have only cosmetic products in the form of powder on the bathroom shelves. When taking a shower, they simply dilute the powder with water and apply it to the body. You can purchase ubtan at cosmetic stores and prepare it yourself at home.

Ubtan for the face is composed exclusively of herbal ingredients. It contains herbal powders and grain flour. It can be used as a facial, body skin care and even as a hair shampoo.

Due to its Ayurvedic properties, this drug is an excellent helper in the fight against skin problems. It allows you to fight even the manifestation of dermatitis. It acts on the principle of a scrub, that's just light and gentle.

Real ubtan must be prepared exclusively from natural products. The only problem is that traditional Indian herbs are quite rare in our markets. But, this cannot prevent the manufacture of this miracle remedy.

In our country, there is a fairly large number of plants that will replace Indian spices. You can buy herbal mixes at the pharmacy, and you can buy varieties of flour at grocery stores.

To prepare the base, you will need: corn flour, oatmeal, rice, flaxseed, pea and wheat flour. In some cases, sesame seeds, lentils and flax seeds can be substituted.

From herbs you will need:

  • seaweed - it allows you to stimulate the production of collagen, improves skin elasticity, reduces the number of wrinkles;
  • chamomile is a great option for relieving irritations;
  • nettle is suitable for refreshing the skin, making it velvety and tender;
  • Ginger enhances blood flow - a great tonic for the face;
  • calendula allows quick healing of wounds and restores the skin from inflammation.

The best thing to do before you start preparing ubtan is to make sure that none of the ingredients will cause you allergies. Select ingredients based on your skin type and immunity.

In the form of oil, you can use - grape seed oil, olive oil, flaxseed, avocado and even sunflower.

Use cases for ubtan for skin

Ubtan is an excellent skin care product that does not spoil it, but rather restores it. If, when using soap, the skin becomes clogged and deteriorates, then ubtan is able to bring it to an excellent state.

  1. You can use ubtan as a cleanser. Suitable for daily use.
  2. Can be used as a mask. This way you will saturate the skin better.
  3. You can use it as a makeup remover for the skin. This option has a rather gentle effect on the skin and soothes it.

Ubtan face masks vary according to skin type. But the result is the same - the skin becomes soft, velvety, moisturized and without irritation.

How to make ubtan at home? The essence of the preparation is that it is necessary to mix all the ingredients in the proportions "all in five". That is, you need to have 5 types of herbs, 5 different oils and 5 types of flour. In principle, you can substitute some of the ingredients based on the type of the entire skin.

First of all, you need to mix in a 1: 1 ratio the ingredients for the base and the herb. If you do not have ready-made flour, you can grind it in a coffee grinder. Next, you need to grind the herbs and mix everything.

Important! For ubtan to be perfect, all ingredients must be ground very carefully. Its condition should be like dust. After all procedures have been completed, the contents are ready for use. You need to dilute it with water and wait a few minutes so that the mixture is well steamed.

Next, you need to apply to the skin with light massage movements and then rinse off. In some cases, it can be left on the face for 5-10 minutes in the form of a mask. Due to the ingredients, ubtan scrubs the skin well and removes dead skin cells.

If you want to get ubtan infusions, then you need to add oil to the mixture. The recommended proportion is 2: 1, that is, if you added 1 spoonful of herbs and flour, then the oil must be added in half.

Problem skin remedy

For use on problem skin, ubtan is not recommended in its pure form. Best mixed in 1: 2 proportions with sour cream or natural yogurt. It is best if you add a few drops of lemon juice.

After that, it is necessary to scrub the skin with light massage movements for several minutes. Your skin will become velvety and matte. If you use ubtan on a regular basis, you will be able to reduce the number of rashes on your face.

Ubtan for acne and pimples should be used immediately and without long-term storage. If you are going to store it, then be prepared for the fact that microbes may appear in the product and this will even worse affect your skin.

Dry skin remedy

If you are preparing a cleanser, then the finished ubtan mixture must be mixed with half a teaspoon of olive oil. This product is perfect for daily use.

If you need to get a mask, then you need to add a few tablespoons of milk or sour cream to ubtan. The best option is aloe juice. This product must be applied to the face and massaged with light movements for 10 minutes.

With ubtan, your skin will be nourished, hydrated and velvety to the touch.

Sensitive Skin Care

If you want to restore the balance of your skin, then you need to add the components to the finished ubtan mixture, which we will discuss below.

  1. Almond. It must be mixed with milk powder and oat bran flour. Mix thoroughly and use daily as a prophylaxis.
  2. Flax seeds. It is best to use oat flour as a base. Mix with crushed flaxseeds and milk powder. Mix with purified water and apply to skin. This product is perfect for removing makeup and washing your face.
  3. ... It is necessary to take ground sprouted oats as a basis. Add ground nettle, lavender, turmeric and sage to it. Mix with milk until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Adding castor oil is optimal. With this tool, you can save yourself from flaking skin and reduce the amount of redness.

Contraindications for using a natural remedy

Despite the fact that this tool has proven itself well, there may well be negative consequences, because everyone has different skin, and it reacts differently to care.

So, we will consider contraindications in more detail:

  1. Fungal diseases. Since the agent must be rubbed in with massage movements to increase blood circulation, it can only aggravate the problem and enlarge the areas of the disease.
  2. Ulcers Using ubtan can increase irritation and prevent rapid healing.
  3. Vascular mesh. Due to the fact that ubtan is used to enhance blood circulation, it can increase vasodilation.
  4. An individual is not a combination. If you have applied the product and notice that there are irritations or rashes, it is recommended to analyze the ingredients and determine which product may be allergic. In the future, it is better to replace this product.

Having good skin is not luck. This is a great work. In addition to getting good sleep, proper nutrition, and proper hydration, you need to be very careful about what products you use to care for your skin.

Ubtan is an Ayurvedic powder that replaces soaps and shower gels. Before use, it is diluted with water or oil, getting a kind of paste. This product is used for face or body hygiene. There are many recipes for its preparation. Finely ground herbs and flour are taken as a basis. The mixture is enriched with other beneficial additives. This remedy is sold in any Ayurvedic store. You can also make ubtan yourself. This option is even better: at home you can choose a recipe for yourself, taking into account all the shortcomings and problems of your skin. And getting the necessary ingredients will not be difficult.

This product can be used by both allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin. Of course, in this case, you need to carefully select the composition. The recipe should not contain ingredients that irritate the skin (these are also found among natural products).

All ingredients for the mixture must be dry (especially if they are plants or berries) and finely ground. Literally into dust. Correct ubtan resembles powder in consistency. Larger particles can injure the skin. You can use a coffee grinder to grind the components (individually). Then the ingredients, selected according to the recipe or personal preference, are sieved through a sieve (or new 60 denier tights) and mixed well.

The benefits of ubtan

This tool serves not only to free the skin from the dirt accumulated on it during the day. It also cleanses the face and body of dead skin cells and saturates them with valuable substances. In other words, ubtan replaces 3 products at once:

  • soap (or gel);
  • scrub;
  • nourishing mask.

The main advantage of this product is that it is completely natural, regardless of whether you bought it or prepared it yourself. This means that it will only benefit: gently cleanses the skin, nourishes it with useful substances, soothes, tones, improves its color, normalizes sebum secretion, etc. This is an excellent remedy for acne and blackheads. In addition, ubtan promotes skin regeneration, that is, allows it to remain young for as long as possible. It also helps to shrink enlarged pores. Ubtan is also used to treat skin problems. For example, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis.

When ubtan is applied, the film, consisting of fat and water, which protects the skin from the negative effects of the environment, remains intact. Soap damages it, disrupting the acid-base balance. This often causes the skin to become dry or irritated. Therefore, it is recommended to use ubtan, first of all, for people who have difficulties with the selection of products for washing.

In India, this remedy is prepared from local plants and other components common in those latitudes, which in our realities cannot always be found. But without prejudice to the result, the hard-to-find ingredients included in the recipe can be replaced with others, no less useful.

The basis of ubtan is flour (or a mixture of several types of it). White wheat is not suitable: it contains a lot of gluten. You can take flour

  • chickpea;
  • oatmeal;
  • corn;
  • pea;
  • lentil.

This is not the entire list. You can choose any grits (or dried legumes) that suit your skin in terms of their properties, grind it and get the desired flour. You can also grind durum wheat or its germs.
Also, ubtan should contain products containing saponins (natural lathering substances). These can be the following herbal ingredients:

  • liquorice root;
  • oats;
  • linden color;
  • sage;
  • ginseng;
  • horsetail;
  • soapwort;
  • calendula petals;
  • flax seed;
  • shikakai.

Also, saponins are found in some types of clay: rassoul, bentonite, fuller earth.

By supplementing the flour and ingredients with soapy substances with healing herbs, selected according to skin type, we get the base for ubtan. It can be used already in this form.

Additional components

It is recommended to diversify the base with other ingredients. They are matched to the type of skin. For dry, rose petals, cornflower, lemon balm, almonds, parsley, amla, lavender, lemon balm are suitable. The following components are suitable for oily skin: nettle, mint, St. John's wort, rowan berries, thyme, birch leaves. For normal, you can take rose petals, amla, oats.

Also add to ubtan:

  • oils (essential and base);
  • spices (especially ginger and turmeric);
  • citrus zest;
  • berries;
  • sea salt;
  • Activated carbon;
  • green tea;
  • various nuts and seeds;
  • bran;
  • colorless henna;
  • cocoa.

You can come up with other additional ingredients for yourself by creating your own unique recipe. When choosing any ingredient (regardless of whether it is basic or "auxiliary") for ubtan, you must make sure that there are no contraindications for its use by you personally (allergies, individual intolerances, etc.). Take the time to study the information about each component!

Ubtan can be composed of several dozen ingredients. If you are a beginner, of course, you don't need to go to such extremes. You can limit yourself to 5-10 components. The simplest ubtan recipe looks like this: 1 ingredient with saponins, clay, flour (from one or two types of cereals or legumes), from 3 to 7 medicinal plants. This is quite enough. Percentage: 40% flour, 30% herbs, 20% other components.

Ubtan recipes

Let's try to make the mixture with our own hands. To begin with, we offer two recipes suitable for all skin types:

  1. Combine 4 tablespoons of pea flour and 1 teaspoon of mustard oil. Add a pinch of turmeric. Mix everything thoroughly.
  2. Take 3 tablespoons of durum flour (from durum wheat), one each of soda and sea salt, add 5 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix all ingredients well. The recipe is also suitable for the skin of the body. Such a mixture will not only perfectly cleanse and "nourish" the skin, but will suit literally any person: it does not cause allergies.

Blackhead ubtan recipe

Take 2.5 tablespoons each of cornmeal and dry St. John's wort, each teaspoon of sea salt and soda. Stir.

You can create a recipe yourself, taking into account the recommended proportions and ingredients suitable for your skin.

Store ubtan in a dry place, in a tightly closed container (ideally in a glass jar with a screw cap). Care must be taken to ensure that no moisture gets inside.

Using ubtan

The mixture can be used for daily cleansing or as needed. If you are using ubtan for medicinal purposes, then it is best to do it in a course - the required number of procedures (look at the condition of the skin).

For the face, dilute ½ teaspoon of the mixture to a pasty state with water, infusion or decoction of herbs, milk, yogurt, etc. Apply on the face, massage a little. Leave it on for a couple of minutes and wash off. For the body, you will have to choose the required amount of the mixture yourself, by trial. If you want the effect of a nourishing mask, then leave the ubtan on the skin for 10-15 minutes.

The mixture can be used for wraps as well.

Contraindications

No matter how miraculous and natural this remedy may be, it is not suitable for everyone. Ubtan cannot be used when

  • ulcers;
  • fungal and other skin infections;
  • rosacea (increases blood circulation);
  • the presence of boils;
  • individual intolerance to the components.

When choosing components for a mixture, make sure that they are combined (this can be checked in special plant guides, etc.).
