Wonderful dress crocheted from chestnut leaves and other Irish lace motifs.

SIZE 44-46

You will need: 16 balls of yellow Iris yarn, 6 - ocher, 3 - light yellow, 2 - lemon, 10 skeins of melange yarn, 1 skein of decorative yarn; template for knitting long loops; hook number 1.1.

The neckline is underlined by an openwork strip of ribbon lace according to scheme D. A garland of stylized flowers falls from the bodice to the skirt (diagram E).

Sun circles are made on a fork. If you do not own this technique, crochet them according to the AND pattern:

This variety is complemented by sprigs according to scheme G and small leaves according to scheme 3. Tie each element in one copy, steam it, let it dry and make layouts out of paper. On a dense fabric, draw a full-size pattern according to fig. 9 or custom sizes. On it, place a composition of layouts, focusing on the photo of the model or your own idea of \u200b\u200bit. According to the finished composition, determine the amount of each element. Tie the required amount of each element. Tie a couple of leaves with yarn with metanit or with a change in color, this will emphasize their contours. Steam, dry and baste or pin with pins to the pattern wrong side up. Sew the elements together so that the junctions are not visible on the front side. Steam again and dry. Connect the shoulder and side lines of the front and back patterns, sew the details. Delete the note.

Crocheted leaves are quite often used by craftswomen as decorative elements when you need to decorate a dress, handbag or hat. And also a hand-knitted thing is perfect as a gift for a dear person or will decorate the interior, being an example of craftsmanship and magnificence.

  • Crochet hook 2.5 mm
  • Yarn of appropriate thickness

In this lesson, I will give a step-by-step instruction in the artistic crochet of clover and chestnut leaves. So , crochet leaves. The diagram and description are quite detailed and very clear.

Step by step description with diagram

clover leaf

This scheme is very simple, even beginner needlewomen will surely figure it out.

  • We knit a chain of 4 air. loops. Next, we tie this chain in a circle: 1 air. lifting loop, 1 tbsp. without a crochet in the second loop of the chain (see diagram), 1 tbsp. with a crochet in the third loop, in the 4th loop of the chain we knit 10 tbsp. with 2 crochets, 1 tbsp. with a crochet in 3 loops and 1 tbsp. without a crochet in 2 loops.
  • Knit 2 more leaves in the same pattern.
  • When all 3 leaves are ready, tie a chain of 8 air. loops, 1 tbsp. single crochet for lifting, 7 tbsp. without a crochet in each loop of the chain. When knitting the last loop of the chain, connect the finished leaves to each other into one branch.

Any leaves knitted from synthetic yarn or mercerized cotton look incomparable and embossed.

Our clover leaf is ready!

chestnut leaf

This eye-pleasing motif, made from thicker yarn, can be used as a placemat or potholders in the kitchen. If you knit it from a thin material, then it will become a constituent element of a tablecloth, shawl or bedspread.

If, when knitting a leaf, you hook both loops of the loop with a hook, then the motif will turn out to be flatter. If you knit for 1 bow, then the leaf will be more embossed.

Link a chain of 10 air. loops and close in a ring.

  • 1 row: in each loop, knit 2 tbsp. with 2 crochets, and between the columns 3 air. loops (see diagram). The first column is replaced by 4 air. lifting loops.
  • 2 row: 3 air. lifting loops, 2 tbsp. with a crochet in the first loop of a chain of 3 loops, 3 tbsp. with a crochet in the 3rd loop of the chain, 3 air. loops, 3 tbsp. with a crochet in the first loop of the next chain of 3 loops, 3 tbsp. with a crochet in 3 loops, 3 air. loops. We knit 10 fragments in this way.
  • 3 row: 3 air. lifting loops, 3 tbsp. with a crochet in a chain of 3 air. loops, 3 air. loops, 4 tbsp. with a crochet in the same chain of 3 air. loops, 4 tbsp. with a crochet in the next chain of 3 air. loops, 3 air. loops, 4 tbsp. with a crochet in the same chain. Knit only 9 motives in this way, do not knit the 10th. Turn the work to the wrong side.
  • 4 row: 3 air. lifting loops, 4 tbsp. with a crochet in a chain of 3 air. loops, 3 air. loops, 3 tbsp. with a crochet in the same chain, 5 tbsp. with a crochet in the next chain of 3 air. loops, 3 air. loops. Knit all 9 fragments.
  • 5 row: 1 air. lifting loop, over the first fragment, tie 11 tbsp. without a crochet (over the loops knitted in the first fragment of the previous row), 3 air. lifting loops, 5 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 6 tbsp. with a crochet. In the same row, you need to knit only 7 motives in this way.
  • 6 row: 3 air. lifting loops, knit 7 fragments as follows - 7 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 7 tbsp. with a crochet. Knit the last 2 columns together with one top.
  • 7 row: 1 air. lifting loop, then we knit one fragment of the previous row with single crochets, 3 air. lifting loops, we knit the remaining 5 yarns like this - 8 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 8 tbsp. with a crochet. We knit the last 2 double crochets together with one top.
  • 8 row: we knit 5 fragments - 9 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 9 tbsp. with a crochet. At the beginning of the row, replace the column with three air. lifting loops.
  • 9 row: 1 air. lifting loop, we tie the first fragment with 20 tbsp. single crochet, 3 air. lifting loops, then we knit only 3 fragments - 10 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 10 tbsp. with a crochet. We knit the last 2 columns with one vertex.
  • 10 row: 3 air. lifting loops, knit 3 fragments - 11 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 11 tbsp. with a crochet. We replace the first column with lifting loops.
  • 11 row: 1 air. lifting loop, we tie the entire first fragment with 24 tbsp. single crochet, 3 air. lifting loops, we knit the remaining 1 fragment - 12 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 13 tbsp. with a crochet. We knit the last two columns with one vertex.
  • 12 row: 3 air. lifting loops, 13 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 air. loops, 14 tbsp. with a crochet. We knit 1 piece. We knit the last 2 columns together again.

Maple leaves knitted in this way according to our scheme can be tied around the edge with a row of double crochets with threads of a different color. This will make the product brighter and more exclusive.

In this lesson, I tried to give you step-by-step instructions for crocheting chestnut and clover leaves, as well as a diagram and description, and the end result will depend on your imagination. Good luck in job!

Crocheting the leaves is as easy as the flower itself - follow the knitting pattern and description. Having caught the essence of the work, in the future you can knit simply from the photo of the model you like.

Pleased with a wide variety of leaf shapes - just like in nature. You can also come up with some options for your work. You can see ideas.

Usually yarn of the same thickness is taken as for the main element. Although the texture of the thread may be different - smoother and shiny, or, conversely, fluffy. For decoration on clothes, it is better to use the same types of yarn. Although, it all depends on the specific sample and your creative approach to work.

Crochet oval leaves

The easiest to work with and the most common type of leaves is oval.

First, the central row is knitted - a chain of air loops, an odd number is better. Its length is equal to the size of the finished element. This will be the "vein" of the sheet, for it you can take yarn of a different shade, darker.

The second and third loops are connecting posts. In order for the sheet to take the form of an oval, we will increase the number of crochets towards the center of the sheet and decrease towards the edges.

For example, if the number of air loops = 13, then the fourth loop is a single crochet, the fifth and sixth are double crochets, the seventh is two, and the eighth is three.

At the end, make a connecting column and knit the opposite side of the leaf

Upon completion of the element, you can additionally highlight the central “vein” (if knitted with thin threads). To do this, knit simple connecting posts along it, picking up the lower loops

You can tie a wider sheet on this basis by tying the entire element with a number of columns

Knitting a clover leaf (shamrock)

How to crochet a clover leaf: 2 petals separately, a third petal and a stem, attaching the first two petals

First you need to tie a chain of 5 air loops. Having skipped the last 2 loops, we knit 1 single crochet into the third loop from the edge. Then in the second loop from the edge - 1 double crochet. And in the last loop you need to immediately knit 10 columns with two crochets.

Next, we return to the second loop and knit 1 column with 1 crochet for the other wall, in the third - 1 column without a crochet. At the end, connect the posts into the next air loop and fasten the thread. This is 1 petal clover.

Now we knit 2 more of the same elements, but in the last we do not fasten the thread and we knit the leaf stem. We make 9 air loops, skip the last loop and knit connecting posts along the entire length of the stem chain. Then attach the first loops of each petal with connecting posts.

These were the 2 simplest Leaf elements. See other options

Various patterns of knitting leaves

Knitted leaves can decorate many products: clothes, a hat, a handbag. They can be used to decorate the interior - in the form of knitted plants in pots or in wall panels. You can crochet or knit the leaves in different ways, this article discusses several typical motifs.

clover leaf

We start with a chain of 4 VPs. Next, knit 1 lifting VP, 1 single crochet, 1 double crochet, in the last st of the chain, knit 10 double crochet stitches. I got a petal. Similarly, tie two more petals. Then, without breaking the thread, knit a chain of 8 VPs. Further, the scheme is as follows: 1 air. lifting item, 7 stlb b / n, in the last. we attach chains. stlb all three parts of the leaflet.

oval leaf

Link the original chain of 13 VP. Scheme of further knitting: 1 VP lift, 7 RLS. The remaining 6 VPs remain untied. From the last RLS we knit a chain of 6 VPs. In 1 p. of the lower river. connect 3 ch lifts plus 2 dc, 2 dc, 3 dc with one vertex, 1 dc2n in the 7th stbn, 3 stlbsn with one apex, 2 stlbsn, 3 stlbsn with one base.

In one p. we knit 3 lifting VPs plus 2 StlbSN, 2 StlbSN, 3 StlbSN with one vertex, 1 concave StlbS2N, 3 StlbSN with one vertex, 2 StlbSN, 3 StlbSN with one base.

We knit with a common top: 3 VP lifts, 1 StlbSN, 1 convex stlb with 2 stitches, 2 StlbSN.

We knit a voluminous leaf: video master class

Technique for making convex and concave relief columns

Convex

We make the required number of yarn overs, then we insert the hook not into the loop, but from right to left into the column of the lower river. so that the column of the lower river. was in front of the hook, pull out 1p. and then we knit like a regular StlbSN.

Concave

Knit similarly, but the column of the lower river. should be behind the hook.

chestnut leaf

We start with the pattern of the middle, then alternately knit the elements of the leaflet. The description considers the pattern of the pattern of the smallest element. Knit the rest in the same way, adjusting the length with the number of stitches in the chain.

The first stage of knitting is a set of VP chains for the tail and middle. Next, the middle is knitted in circular rows.

Description

Middle

We collect a chain of 28 VP. We close a chain of 4 VPs in a ring. Further knitting pattern:

  • 1r .: 1 VP, 7 RLS, 1VP. We finish a series of SS;
  • 2p .: 1 lifting VP, 13 RLS, 1 VP, SS in the lifting loop;
  • 3r.: 1 VP, 20SBN, 1 VP;
  • 4r .: 1 VP, 24 RLS, 1 VP;
  • 5r.: 1 VP, 32 RLS, 1 VP.

Tail

We knit the remaining VP with two p. stlb b / n, each attaching to the middle of the SS.

The smallest - lower right - leaf element

We make a chain of 13 VPs, knit RLS, attach a conn. stlb in the 3rd p. of the middle from 1r. ponytail. We knit the SS in the following. p. middle instead of 1 lifting VP, then - in a chain of VP - 2 stlb without / n, 2 half-column. s / n, 2 StSN, 2 pillar. with 2n., 2 pillar. with 3n., 2 pillar with 4n., in the extreme VP and RLS we knit 15 StS4N.

The second half of the element is knitted in a mirror. The last column b / n we attach the SS to the middle.
Skip 1 stbn, 3 stbn, * pico, 2 stbn * - between * - * repeat 10 times, 8 sc.

The remaining elements of the chestnut leaf are connected according to the same principle.

Maple Leaf

Link a chain of 10 VP, close in a ring. Further knitting pattern:

  • 1p .: in each p. tie a fragment, replacing at the beginning the first stlb with 2n. for 4 VP lifts;
  • 2p .: in each of the fragments of the previous. R. tie, replacing at the beginning the first StS3N with 3 lifting VPs. Total - 10 fragments.
  • starting from the 3rd p. work is divided. In 9 fragments, knit, at the beginning replacing 1 StSN with 3 VP lifting. We finish r. 1 double crochet. Expanding the work;
  • 4p .: 3VP lift, knit in each of the 9 fragments;
  • 5r.: 1 air. lifting item, 11 StBN, in each of the remaining 7 fragments, tie, replacing the first StSN with 3 lifting VPs at the beginning;
  • 6r .: 3 VP lifting, knit 7 fragments. Finish r. 2 stsn knitted with a common top;
  • 7r.: 1 VP lift, StBN in all p. of one fragment before. r., 3 air. p. under., tie 5 fragments Complete p. 2 stsn knitted with a common top;
  • 8p .: 5 fragments, replacing at the beginning the first StSN with 3 lifting VPs;
  • 9r.: 3 fragments. and 10 stsn;
  • 10 rubles: 3 fragments. and 11 StSN each, replacing at the beginning the first StSN with 3 lifting VPs;
  • 11th: 2 fragments. and 12 STSN;
  • 12r.: 1 fragment, start 3 VP under., 13 StSN plus 3 air. n. plus 13 StSN.

Maple leaf continuous knitting

On the image of the pattern diagram, the beginning of knitting is marked with a black dot.

  • 1r .: 1 VP under., 13 RLS, tie in the extreme p., 13 pillar. with a crochet on the other side of the original chain;
  • 2p .: 1 VP under., 13 RLS, tie in an arch from the VP, 11 pillars. without / n.
  • knitting the next 8r. leaflet - see diagram. We continue:
  • 9r.: 1 air. p. under, then - RLS according to the scheme, we complete 4 VPs;
  • 10r .: we start knitting the lateral left part: 1 VP, 8 stlb without / n, 1 air. n. above the pillar without / n of the lower river, 1 RLS;
  • 11r .: 1 VP under., 10 StBN, 4 VP;
  • 12r.: 1 VP under., 14 stlb without / n, 1 air. n. above the pillar without / n of the lower river, 1 StBN in RLS of the 9th river.

Further knitting pattern - see diagram. We attach even rows with columns without / n to the column without / n of the 9th row.

Without breaking the thread, we knit the second left part of the sheet in the same way, we continue knitting RLS until the end of 9p. right, 4 ch.

Next R. we start 1 VP under. and we knit the two right parts of the sheet mirrored to the left.

Oak leaf knitting

In the description, the leaf is knitted from three colors of yarn - it is autumn. If you wish, you can turn it into a spring one by knitting it completely from green yarn.

We knit with knitting needles for 3 points a lace 2.5 cm long. We carry out further knitting on the same loops:

  • Row 1: Cast on 5p. cord set, 7 l., 1i. We have only 8p .;
  • 2r. (face side): we collect with knitting needles 5p., 6l., remove 1p. purl, 6l. We have 13p.

In all the following persons. R. the central loop should be removed as a purl. We continue with knitting needles:

  • 3r .: persons .;
  • 4p.: 6l., remove with knitting needles 1p., 6l.;
  • 5p.: as 3p.;
  • 6r.: as 4r.;
  • 7th: close 2p., 11l. Total in the work 11p.
  • Row 8: close 2p., 4l., remove 1p., 4l. Total 9p.

Next 2p. we knit with knitting needles, changing the number of loops. We continue:

  • Row 11: Cast on 2p, 9l. Total 11p.;
  • 12r .: we collect with knitting needles 2p., 6l., remove 1p., 6l. We have 13p.

Next 2p. we knit with knitting needles without changing the number of stitches. In the second of these rows, we move on to the next color of yarn. We continue with knitting needles:

  • 15r .: close 3p., 10l. Only 10p.;
  • 16th: close 3p., 3l., remove 1p., 3l. Remaining 7p.
  • 19th row: we collect 2p., 9l. Total 9p .;
  • 20r .: we collect 2p., 5l., remove 1p., 5l. Total 11p.

Next 2p. we knit with knitting needles, without changing the number of loops. In the second of these rows, we move on to the next color of yarn. We continue with knitting needles:

  • 23rd: close 3p., 8l. Total 8p .;
  • 24th: closed 3p., 2l., remove 1p., 2l. Total 5p.
  • Next 2p. we knit with knitting needles, without changing the number of loops. Then:
  • 27r.: x3, remove 1p., 2p. in 1l. Total 3p.

We close the remaining loops.

  • 2p .: 1 stlb b / n in each stlb row, x11.

Without breaking the thread, we knit the 2nd sheet and all subsequent ones. The algorithm is the same, we look at the number of loops of the original chain from the diagram image.

Center

  • 1 st in the last p. T. o. in it, in total, two stitches are knitted, x4, 16 VP, 1 st.b / n. in the 2nd p. from the hook, x14 times, sl-st in the 1st column of the middle.

diamond-shaped leaf

decorative sheet

Melange yarn was used for knitting. We start with 17 VP. Further:

  • 1r .: 1 column without / n. in 3 p. from the hook, 1 stlb without / n. in each p. of the row, - in the extreme p., we turn the work. On the second side of the original chain, we knit 1 stb without nak., Turn the knitting.

Track. p.: 4 VP, 1 RLS behind the back wall in each p. to the arch, into the arch, 1 RLS behind the back wall in each p. to the extreme 2 p., knitting turn.

Repeat the last row 7 times. Then we knit the SS in the center of the fabric to the arch 1p. We finish knitting.

And now we offer you several options for leaf patterns for interior compositions. These beautiful leaves are knitted according to the proposed patterns, the length is determined by the number of VPs in the original chain.

Bag

For a bag of a given size, you need 20 chestnut leaves: 14 from bark-colored yarn and 6 from other colors of yarn (one leaf of each color).

Bottom of the bag

Knit until reaching 43 cm in length. Fasten the thread.

Assembling the bag

Cut out a 86 cm × 36 cm rectangle from cardboard. This is an auxiliary template for assembling the canvas of the bag. Place the leaves inside the rectangle, overlapping slightly. Pick up the leaves. Using matching yarn colors, sew the leaves together along the overlapping edges.

Fold the finished rectangle in half widthwise, overlapping the edges of the leaves, and sew the edges together. The result should be a "pipe".

Sew the bottom to the bottom edge of the bag, tucking the uneven edges inwards.

Felting bag blanks

This is an optional step. However, after felting, the canvas of the bag will look more dense and uniform in structure.

Attention! If yarn of different composition was used when knitting leaves of different colors, it is better to skip the felting step. Otherwise, after felting, the canvas may be deformed, warped, stretched unevenly.

The size of the fabric during felting will not change significantly, as is usually the case with knitwear, since in this case the bag is sewn from separately connected elements and the direction of knitting is different.
