Beautiful Christmas houses with their own hands. Do-it-yourself New Year's house made of cardboard

Hello dear readers! Before the main New Year celebration, the question often arises, how to create a festive mood?! In fact, everything is elementary, start preparing for the New Year, the pre-holiday fuss is so “addictive” that there will simply be no time left for depression. Especially if you slowly start decorating your house, then the festive mood will not keep you waiting! We remind you that we recently studied, and also studied the topic (we recommend reading it), but today we will “build” a house, or rather a house! In this review, we will take a closer look at how to make a winter house under the Christmas tree with your own hands. In principle, this decorative house does not have to be placed under the Christmas tree, it will look great on the windowsill, mantelpiece, flower stand, table, etc. Moreover, this craft will not take you a lot of time, and upon completion it will delight you with its excellent appearance! We will get such a decorative house with our own hands as a result of:

How to make a house craft.

For work it is necessary to prepare the following materials:

✓ Styrofoam thin sheet (substrate for laminate) or thick cardboard;

✓ Pencil;

✓ Ruler;

✓ Scissors;

✓ Stationery knife;

✓ Transparent moment glue;

✓ Spray can with gold paint;

✓ PVA glue;

✓ Rhinestones and small beads.

We draw a house blank on plain paper (you can see blank templates below). It is necessary to prepare the following number of parts: floor 1 pc, side walls 2 pcs, end and rear walls 1 pc each, roof 2 slopes.

Below are the cut-out blanks of the house, please note that the dimensions are indicated on each sheet (you can be guided by these parameters when creating your own house).

We cut out the blanks with scissors, apply them to a sheet of cardboard or foam, circle with a pencil, and cut out the real details of the house with a clerical knife. Next, cut out the windows and the door. We glue all the parts of the house into a single whole.

We proceed to the details, draw a chimney on paper (see photo), cut it out and glue it, then apply it to one of the roof slopes and create a mark with a pencil - the level of the chimney slope, cut off excess paper along this line, glue our chimney, apply the template to the foam sheet, circle with a pencil, cut out all the details, and then glue them into a single whole. We glue the resulting chimney to the roof.

The door can be made opening with paper tape, cut a hole for the door in one of the walls of the house, glue pieces of paper tape to the door leaf, for which we glue the door to the house, we got a kind of door hinges that allow the door to open. On this product, the door does not open, it is simply glued to the wall of the house.

Nuts. We draw future sills on plain paper, cut them out, apply the template to the foam sheet, trace with a pencil, cut out the details, which we then glue together, forming steps. Glue the resulting sills to the wall with the door.

We paint the house in gold color with a can of paint. ATTENTION: if you took a foam sheet as a basis, like ours, then paint the house from a long distance - in layers, i.e. applied one barely noticeable layer, leave the product to dry completely, after an hour apply the second layer, after another hour - the third layer. Perhaps even two layers will be enough! The fact is that spray paint corrodes the foam, if you hurry, it will simply “melt” your house.

Additionally, you can make a ladder, cut out two strips 10 cm long, 8 mm wide, and to them crossbars 8 mm wide, 2 cm long. We glue and paint the product.

We proceed to the decorative part, pour PVA glue slightly diluted with plain water into a saucer, create small layers of cotton wool, which we immerse in the adhesive solution, and then glue it to the roof of the house, forming small folds along the way (we imitate snow applied by a blizzard). Do not forget to paste over the chimney, partially the walls and the lower part of the house in this way. The winter house will look more harmonious if "snow" (cotton wool) is used a little.

We leave the product until the PVA glue is completely dry (usually it dries completely overnight), after which we glue rhinestones and small beads to the roof slopes, in addition, they can be dispersed over the surface of the walls and thresholds.

As you can see, making a house craft with your own hands is not difficult, and the result is really impressive. And if you put an LED candle in the house, then at night it will beckon with a warm light! As for the decor, here you can show all your creativity, cut out a bench, a stepladder, a well from paper, put up a fence, “plant” a couple of Christmas trees, “blind” a snowman or a snow fortress from cotton wool, and also put Santa Claus’s sleigh near the threshold, like we considered making such a sleigh in which, by the way, presents many more interesting ideas for making Christmas tree decorations from paper.

The height of the decorative house turned out to be 22.5 cm, the “snow” looks very natural, the rhinestones create the effect of snowflakes shimmering in the sun, and the golden undertone of the product looks great when artificial or natural light hits it!

DIY Christmas crafts Santa Claus house

We decorate the window.

Fairly easy and quick to make do-it-yourself winter house of Santa Claus in window view. The tradition of decorating windows for the New Year holidays is far from new; even in childhood, each of us carefully cut openwork snowflakes from white paper or paper napkins and glued them on the window, creating the illusion of snow coming outside the window. This option will also look very original and unusual on your window, looking at which it will seem to you that you can see the real apartments of the main fairy-tale winter hero in the distance.

In order to make such a decor, you will need:

A thick sheet of white paper (but not cardboard);

Simple pencil;

Scissors;

Stationery knife.

Work description.

1. Let's start by transferring the winter still life scheme proposed below to a sheet of white paper. This can be done in several ways. Just print the picture on a printer, redraw it manually with a simple pencil, transfer the sketch using a capirka or redraw it by attaching the drawing itself to the window during the day, and a blank sheet on top of it. This method of copying is probably known to each of you from early childhood.

Do-it-yourself house of Santa Claus - diagram

2. After our sketch is made on the desired basis, we take scissors and carefully cut it out along the outer contour.

3. Next, a very delicate and painstaking work begins, we need to cut out individual elements in the inner parts of the picture, it is best to use a thin clerical knife for this. To do this, we place the workpiece on a flat, stable surface, for example, a table, and be sure to put something under it that we don’t mind cutting - it can be a kitchen cutting board or an old unnecessary book. After the workplace is prepared, we proceed to carefully cut out every smallest detail.

4. The finished openwork work with a winter landscape, we just have to glue the windows to the glass from the inside. This can be done using small pieces of adhesive tape, PVA glue or ordinary toilet soap. The composition can be supplemented with garlands made of thin thread or fishing line and cotton wool, reminiscent of falling snow. Especially such a decor will look original if, in fact, there is no snow behind it, and the weather bears little resemblance to winter.

We propose to consider how such a decoration looks on the window below in the proposed photos.

Do-it-yourself house of Santa Claus made of cardboard

The second option is a three-dimensional construction based on cardboard, which can become a worthy decoration of the New Year's interior, and it can also be used as an unusual package for New Year's gifts, for sure the kids will really like the idea of \u200b\u200bbright houses with sweets, cookies, gingerbread and other sweets inside. Also, a similar figurine can be made in a small size and then it will turn into an unusual Christmas tree toy.

Before starting work, we will need to prepare:

White cardboard;

Scissors;

ruler;

Simple pencil;

PVA glue;

ruler;

Colored paints or markers.

New Year's house of Santa Claus with their own hands - work description

1. On the back side of the cardboard, using a simple pencil and a ruler, we transfer the scheme of the future home, which is offered to your attention below. At the same time, the design can be of absolutely any size, from tiny to as huge as the material used in the work allows.

3. After that, along the dotted lines outlined in the diagram, we bend the workpiece in the right places.

4. Now you can move on to gluing the structure, it is best to use PVA glue for this purpose, but in the absence of this, ordinary paper glue and even double-sided narrow tape will do. It is better to apply glue with a brush, a little, but at the same time thoroughly smearing the desired sections of the structure. If there is too much glue, the cardboard can wrinkle, deform and thereby completely spoil the appearance of the craft. First glue the main part, and then glue the roof.

5. Let the glue dry completely, after which we proceed to decorating the house, you can do this with the help of colored paints or felt-tip pens, decorating it the way you want. And you can also use the application technique with colored paper or a more complex and sophisticated decoupage technique. Colored confetti, shimmering glitter powder, Christmas tree tinsel and other similar materials will help to complement the brightness and fabulousness of the work.

Felt house.

A very original and unusual work is obtained if it is sewn from pieces of felt. Such a toy can decorate a Christmas tree as a New Year's decor or become a little interesting on the occasion of a holiday, even a small felt house is suitable for a festive table setting. In addition, such a product is sewn very easily, quickly and simply, for this you do not need to have any special knowledge and areas of cutting and sewing and have special equipment in the form of a sewing machine, all you need is a needle and thread.

First, let's select materials and tools:

White or beige sheet felt;

Sintepon or any other artificial filler;

sewing needle;

A sheet of paper and a simple pencil;

Bobbin threads in white;

Scissors ordinary;

Curly scissors with a zigzag blade;

White satin ribbons of different widths;

small buttons;

Small decorative Christmas wreaths.

Work description.

1. Let's start by sketching our future home on a sheet of white paper. We draw by hand the building of the shape we like, it can be oblong or square, with a wide or narrow roof, large or small.

2. Next, we cut the resulting sketch along the contour with ordinary scissors and get a pattern-template of our future product. We apply it to the felt previously folded in two layers and draw around the contour with a simple pencil. On a white fabric, the gray lead will be clearly visible, so do not press hard on the pencil, just make a few light strokes.

3. Now we cut out the details of the craft-house with simple scissors, the main parts should turn out to be two absolutely identical, we also cut out the door.

4. After that, we carefully cut along the edge of the interconnected front and back of the house with curly scissors to give them an original look.

5. Then, armed with a sewing needle with a white strong thread, we sew the previously cut door to the front of the craft and immediately supplement it with a small button, which we perform the decorative function of the door handle.

6. We sew the two halves of the toy using the usual “needle forward” seam. We try to make the stitches small, thick and the same. In the process of work, we leave a small hole through which we fill the craft-house with padding polyester, and sew it up completely.

7. We sew in the upper part of the roof a small loop formed from a satin ribbon, for which then our toy can be hung on a branch of a Christmas tree.

8. We decorate the toy with a small decorative Christmas wreath, it can also be sewn or glued with a few drops of hot glue from a heat gun.

That's all the work on creating a felt house toy for Santa Claus is over!

What other options can be sewn like , we invite you to consider below in our small photo selection.

Do-it-yourself house of Santa Claus from pasta

We suggest you make the next version of a fabulous New Year's house from a rather unusual material. For its decor, you will need a lot of different shapes and sizes of pasta. Looking at the finished work done in this technique, it’s even hard to imagine right away that this idea is based on ordinary pasta - it looks so original, and it’s not difficult to make it, how exactly - read below.

For work we need:

Thick cardboard;

Scissors;

Ruler and a simple pencil;

Glue thermal gun;

Various pasta;

Silver or gold paint in an aerosol can.

Work description.

1. Let's start by making the base of the house. We will make it from thick cardboard, we will not dwell on this moment in detail, since the process of its creation is described above in our second master class. In addition, you can cut the base - do-it-yourself house of Santa Claus from foam or make on the basis of wood - it's up to you.

2. After the base part of the craft is ready, you can start decorating it, here we will need pasta of various shapes and sizes, glue them with a hot glue gun, trying to fill all the empty space as much as possible. Moreover, pasta can be laid out randomly or in the form of a certain ornament, this is how you like it best. It should be noted that this work is quite painstaking and long, but it's worth it, the craft turns out to be incredibly beautiful.

3. After the entire space of the base is tightly covered with pasta, you can proceed to painting the house. To do this, take a silver or golden paint in an aerosol can and thoroughly splatter the entire craft with it. It is better to do this outside or in a well-ventilated area so that caustic paint fumes do not lead to poisoning, especially for young children.

4. After the first coat of paint is completely dry, we apply the second one, and also let it dry. Additionally, you can cover the work with a transparent acrylic varnish, this will give it a beautiful glossy sheen.

As soon as all layers of paints and varnish are completely dry, the work can be considered finished.

We hope you liked our interesting and unusual ideas for creating fabulous crafts for Santa Claus, and you will definitely bring some of them to life with your kids. As a result, you will have a great time together, and you can decorate your home with original New Year's attributes!

Hello dear readers! By the New Year, store shelves are traditionally filled with themed decorations - Christmas balls, garlands, tinsel, snow globes, miniature decorative houses.

Moreover, a number of goods sold in the relevant departments can be made independently without much difficulty and expense. We considered how to make rope balls, but today we will make such a small winter house:

What is needed to implement the idea.

It is necessary to prepare: thick cardboard or expanded polystyrene sheets (sold in packages in hardware stores, it’s simply an accordion under the laminate, the material is perfectly cut and glued), glue moment gel, scissors, stationery knife, ruler, pencil, cotton wool, rhinestones, 7 cm of rope, PVA glue, two 3 cm pieces of thin wire, 2 wooden skewers, a can of silver paint.

ATTENTION: for the manufacture of a miniature house, you can use thick cardboard, in this master class we replaced the cardboard with polystyrene foam sheets, but you can use ordinary cardboard!

The templates below will help you navigate, redraw them on plain paper, cut them out, apply them to sheets of polystyrene foam - circle them with a pencil, cut them out with a clerical knife, under the ruler. The following parts should be obtained: floor 1 pc, side walls 2 pcs, end and back parts 1 pc each, roof slopes 2 pcs.

We cut out a window on the back of the house, glue the house with a transparent glue moment, for this we glue the side walls to the “floor” part, then the end and back, and finally the roof slopes.

Prepare the rest of the decorative details.

Porch.

The photo below shows the details that need to be prepared, cut them out and glue them together.

Then we prepare the thresholds, the number of parts will depend on the height of the steps, in this example we cut out one wide rectangular layer, three narrow strips, glue all the details, forming steps, then apply the thresholds sideways to the expanded polystyrene sheet, circle, and cut out two identical side walls, which then glued to their rightful place.

Cut out a rectangular piece - the door. We glue the door, thresholds and porch visor to the house, on the sides on the first step we glue two wooden skewers, which also need to be glued to the bottom of the visor.

Chimney.

We cut out a rectangular template, form a chimney out of it, apply it to one of the slopes on the roof (from the side), put a mark on the chimney template according to the level of the roof slope. We cut off the chimney template along the left mark, glue it, apply it to a sheet of polystyrene foam and circle it with a pencil, cut it out, cut all the details with a clerical knife, which we then glue together in the form of a chimney. The resulting chimney is glued to one of the roof slopes. The whole process of making a chimney is shown in the photo below.

Bench.

We cut out the necessary details from polystyrene foam or cardboard, depending on what material you decide to use a decorative house to make your craft. From the wire we form handles for the bench. We glue the parts into a single whole, namely the back of the bench, seat, legs and handrails.

Ladder.

We cut out the details of the future miniature staircase - two long side strips and 5 rung-steps. We glue all the details together.

Sled.

Cut out the necessary details (see the photo below). We glue the sleigh runners, glue the parts “for sitting” to them, at the end we glue the rope.

The photo below shows the details that need to be prepared for pasting the space around the window (like shutters). We cut out a square from polystyrene foam, retreat from the edge inward on each side by 7 mm, draw an inner square, which we cut out with a clerical knife and a ruler. We cut the resulting frame in the corners, and glue the parts around the window.

Painting.

The house, as well as all the above details, must be painted. The winter house craft will look even more impressive if you use several shades of paint, for example, white and silver. In this example, one paint color was used, namely silver, since the main undertone of the material used obviously looks very impressive, after painting the product resembles ice sparkling in the sun.

ATTENTION: if you took polystyrene foam as a basis, then when painting, do not overdo it with the amount of paint, it must be applied in thin layers from a long distance, otherwise the chemical composition of the paint will simply corrode the cute, small winter house.

Create a snowy effect.

We take a shallow container, pour PVA glue into it, split the cotton wool into thin small layers, immerse them in glue, squeeze out the excess adhesive, and glue them to the roof surface. According to this scheme, we cover the entire surface of the roof, including the chimney, in addition, you can “snow” the corners of the house, a bench, a stepladder, a sled. Leave the product to dry for about 24 hours.

Miniature pots with snow globes.

The front entrance to the house can be decorated with flower pots with "snow balls". We cut the woolen threads into segments 1 cm long (15-20 pieces will be enough), take a large bead, wrap it with foil, soak all the threads for 5 minutes in PVA glue, and put it on the bead in foil, forming an openwork vase. We leave to dry, near the heating battery the product will dry out somewhere in 4 hours. Such planters need to prepare 2 pcs. We remove the dried planters from the beads, carefully separating the foil, paint them from a spray can, glue the hanging ropes on the sides. Then we form balls from cotton wool according to the size of the pots, lightly coat them with PVA glue and put them in miniature pots. On the sides of the door, with an awl, we create punctures, where we insert small pieces of toothpicks, fixing them with glue for a moment, and we hang flower pots with snow balls on them.

Street lamp.

Of course, it will not glow, but it will play a decorative role. We take the lid from a transparent box with glitter-sand for nails, paint it with silver paint and glue it to the end of the veranda.

Rhinestones will play the role of snowflakes shining in the sun, so we glue them wherever improvised snow is present - a roof, a bench, a ladder, a porch, sills, side walls of the house, snow balls in a cache-pot. In addition, we select a rhinestone larger than the rest and glue it on the door, it will play the role of a door handle.

As a result of all the efforts, a chic winter house craft is obtained, which will significantly transform the fireplace or bookshelf, festive table or space under the Christmas tree.

It is very easy to make paper Christmas houses using templates. Thanks to the bright colors and festive decorations, the houses look bright and positive, cheer up on the days before the holidays.

Children will be delighted with the activity itself and the result of their labors.

Materials for work:

  • Colored cardboard;
  • Glue stick, scissors, simple pencil;
  • Figure composter;
  • Any New Year's decor (beads, sequins, stickers).

Fabulous New Year's houses made of paper with your own hands

Simple and cute classic house. Use the template to create it. The photo shows a template for a house and a roof.

Print the template and cut out the blank from colored cardboard. Make neat window cuts. This step is probably the most difficult, especially if the house is small. Small windows are conveniently cut with nail scissors.

Make the necessary folds: on the side, to glue the house and on top, where the roof will be attached. You also need cross folds after each square part of the house.

Apply glue to the side and glue the house.

Cut a rectangle out of colored cardboard and fold it in half, this will be the roof.

Glue the roof in the area designated for this area at the top of the house.

The winter house made of paper is almost ready, it remains only to cut out the doors from cardboard, draw tiles on the roof, and paste over with any winter decor. I liked the snowflakes, they look interesting and wintery. I made them using a figure composter, and for a bigger house you can cut out a variety of beautiful snowflakes, there are plenty of templates on the Internet.

This option is the easiest, despite the apparent complexity of the roof. But making such a house is very easy and fast.

Print out the house template and cut out a blank from colored cardboard.

In the photo of the template, the fold lines are marked with a dotted line.

Bend them to one side. That is, we need folds after each square, on the side and in the roof area. On the roof, you need to do this carefully and carefully so that even triangles form when folded. To do this, you can use a ruler, a protractor, a plastic card.

Glue the side of the house.

And then a long gabled roof.

Further, everything is simple, because the windows do not need to be cut. Cut rectangles from yellow colored paper, draw cross lines on them and glue the resulting windows. Cut out the doors, paint the roof. Decorate the house with any decor - snowflakes, beads, sequins.

You don't even need a template for this house, it's so simple.

Cut a strip of colored cardboard and glue the edges to make a tube. Width and height do not play a special role, everything is at your discretion.

Cut out a circle from cardboard so that it is a couple of centimeters larger than the circumference of the tube and cut it in half.

Glue into a cone, which will be the roof of the house.

The roof can be decorated with tiles. To do this, you need circles of colored cardboard. Their size is not so significant, but you need to remember that with small circles there is a little more work.

Glue the circles to the roof, starting from the bottom.

The roof can be plain, striped, like mine, or even motley, if you alternate the colors of the circles in each tier.

Apply glue (for this it is better to take PVA) on the rounded edge of the tube and glue the roof. Cut out of paper and glue a round window and doors, decorate with decor and a fabulous paper house is ready.

These are the New Year's houses made of paper, bright, children's, fabulously Christmas.
