The handicrafts group decided to make a decoration. The program of the “Country of Handicrafts” circle has an artistic and aesthetic orientation. New Year's decoration ideas

Decorating mugs yourself with polymer clay allows you to get designer tableware from the simplest and cheapest.

Thermoplastic is not afraid of moisture and high temperatures, so tea cups can be used for their intended purpose. The main thing is to wash it carefully, without exposing the decor to abrasives and hard washcloths. Today we have a master class on making a man's gift with your own hands. The idea was taken from a belt with a buckle made of imitation leather. A universal design without a hint of romance - an ideal choice for a man.

Materials and tools

To decorate the mug, prepare:

  • multi-colored polymer clay,
  • mug,
  • video clip,
  • texture wallpaper,
  • toothpick,
  • craft mat,
  • stationery knife.

For baking you will need an oven with a thermometer.

By the way, this is a female version of decoration, but for children you can decorate it with plastic. If your man is a fisherman, then please him. Or take a look at our DIY selection.

Step-by-step decoration technique

Knead the clay in your hands. A spectacular “leather” shade will be obtained if you add a little red, yellow, green, black and metallic powder to brown.

To create a man’s “leather belt” around a mug, roll out the clay into a strip of about 2-3 mm.

Trim any protruding parts with a utility knife.

Try it on a cup, adjust the diameter.

Remove a strip of polymer clay from the mug and gently press it down with the textured part of the wallpaper. Place the strip back on the mug and iron it so that there are no voids between the plastic and the mug. At the junction, press with a textured element so that the pattern is not interrupted.

Now make an animal style buckle. From silver-colored plastic, fashion an element in the shape of a horseshoe - these will be the paws and back of the bear. Smooth out any uneven areas. A silver tint can be achieved by mixing white and black clay in a 10/1 ratio and adding metallic pigment (or unnecessary shadows).

Sculpt the bear's head in the shape of a triangle.

Make a small ball, cut it in half - these will be the ears. Attach them to the head. Apply imitation wool with a toothpick.

Pressing with a toothpick, make claws and indentations of the eye sockets.

Make two identical balls - eyes and insert them into the eye sockets. Use a toothpick to create nostrils and simulate fur around the eyes and ears.

Press the toothpick around the perimeter of the figure to press it against the “strap” on the mug. If the muzzle turns out to be thin, increase the cheeks and press them with a toothpick.

Simulate holes on the belt. To do this, make several silver balls and place them at equal intervals around the mug. Press a toothpick in the center to create a through hole.

Use polymer clay to decorate the handle of the mug in the same style. It needs to be made in the shape of a bear paw. To do this, wrap the handle in a brown layer with a texture applied, and add a silver stripe at the top. Sculpt and attach claws from silver plastic. Apply imitation stitches along the edges of the “belt” with a toothpick.

Bake the decorated dishes in the oven according to the manufacturer's instructions for thermoplastics. When using, avoid contact with the product with aggressive cleaning liquids.

If you like working with plastic, see how to make or from this material. There are even more ideas and handicraft lessons in the modeling section.

Our site was originally created as a site about cross stitch. But: a talented person is talented, if not in everything, then in very many ways. And our forum members are engaged in different types of needlework: knitting, sewing dolls, scrapbooking and quilling. Today I will talk about some other types of needlework.

1. Application. In labor classes in elementary school, absolutely everyone did this. Applique is cutting out and gluing (sewn on) figures, patterns or entire paintings from pieces of paper, fabric, leather, plant and other materials onto a base material (background). As a rule, the base material is cardboard, thick paper, and wood. By the way, decoupage and scrapbooking are types of applique!

2. Batik — hand painting on fabric using reserve compounds. Fabrics painted using batik technology look light, flying, truly airy.

3. Stained glass - mosaic paintings and independent decorative compositions, panels made from colored pieces of glass or painted with special paints on plain glass. Stained glass windows fill any day with positivity, even the cloudiest one!

4. Wood burning - a method of obtaining an image on a wooden surface. In the Soviet school, every student had to master this skill (as well as the next one - “sawing”), along with the ability to make a stool and birdhouse).

5. Sawing - a method of artistic processing of wooden surfaces in order to give them one form or another. Remember school labor lessons. The girls sewed aprons, the boys cut cutting boards. But by turning on your imagination you can get more interesting results.

6. Silhouette cutting - a technique in which objects of an asymmetrical structure are cut out by eye, with curved contours (animals, plants), with smooth transitions from one part to another. The silhouettes are easily recognizable and expressive, so they are cut out without small details. Cutting without tearing, with one movement of sharply sharpened scissors, is considered a special skill.

7. Ganutel - a technique for making products (most often flowers) using spiral wire and silk threads wound on it. The technique is quite labor-intensive, but the result is worth it!

8. Guilloche — (fabric burning) is a technique that involves finishing products with openwork lace using a special apparatus.

9. Isothread (String graphics, embroidery on paper) - graphic technique, producing an image with threads on cardboard or other solid base.

10. Kanzashi — Originally – Japanese women's hair jewelry. Currently, it is the art of making jewelry from pieces of ribbon that are folded in a certain way in the form of petals.

11. Carving - the art of artistic cutting of vegetables and fruits, as well as wood, ice and stones.

12. Kusudama - a paper model that is usually (but not always) formed by sewing together the ends of many identical pyramidal modules (usually stylized flowers folded from a square sheet of paper) so that a spherical body is obtained. Initially it was one of the directions of origami, but recently it has become an independent direction of creativity. By the way, this beauty is done quite quickly.

13. Modeling - a technique for giving shape to a plastic material using hands and tools. The material for modeling is usually plasticine, ordinary and polymer clay, salt dough, cold porcelain.

cold porcelain.

14. Macrame - knot weaving technique. This is also a fairly well-known technique (previously a macrame product hung in almost every apartment), which has recently returned to its popularity.

15. Mosaic - a technique for obtaining an image by arranging, setting and fixing on the surface (usually on a plane) multi-colored stones, smalt, ceramic tiles and other materials. Most often people think about mosaics after repairs have been made (when broken or extra tiles remain). But mosaic is also a good reason to buy new dishes and make something like this out of the old ones:

16. Soap making – making soap at home. The peculiarity of this soap is the natural ingredients for its preparation, and its beautiful shape (some make it in the form of cakes or fruits) makes homemade soap an excellent gift.

17. Pergamo (pergamano) - one of the varieties of embossing techniques. During processing, the parchment paper becomes convex. It can be used as a separate technique or as an element of scrapbooking.

18. Weaving from newspapers - a weaving technique that has gained great popularity recently. The material is tubes twisted from newspapers. Serves as a good alternative to weaving from birch bark and wicker. The result is gorgeous baskets, stands and boxes.

19. Bobbin weaving - a technique for creating lace using special tools (bobbins) on which threads are wound.

20. Drawing with colored sand or tinted salt – a technique for obtaining images using colored sand or salt. Of particular interest are the compositions poured into the bottle. Most often, the image looks like simple colored spots, but there are masters who are capable of creating real paintings.

21. Painting – drawing a design on wooden, clay or other surfaces using paints. Painting trays and toys is a native Russian craft (Khokhloma, Gzhel, Palekh miniatures, etc.).

22. Tatting - technique of weaving hand lace using special shuttles.

Instructions

Find out what clubs are available in nearby schools, cultural and additional education institutions. Decide what you would like to teach. The organizational form depends on what kind of circle it will be and what contingent it is intended for.

If you want to teach your daughter to sew or knit, a club can be organized right in. Talk to your class teacher. Such a circle can be described as a family club. With permission, you will be given the opportunity to borrow a couple of times a week. To attract students, you will simply need to post a notice in the school. Of course, with this form of organization, classes should be free and, moreover, safe. This could be a drawing, origami, paper arts, handicrafts, etc. group, that is, something that does not require large expenses and does not pose any danger to the health of children. A hiking or mountaineering club can hardly exist in this form, since the teacher there requires special training.

The documentation requirements for the circle at the family club are not particularly high. All you need to do is define his goals and draw up a rough lesson plan. In your plan, indicate the topics, summary and number of hours for each. Also note which exhibitions or concerts you are going to participate in and when. This may also be included in the extracurricular activities plan of the school itself.

It is most convenient to create a circle for a wider range of students at any cultural or additional education institution. Contact your manager. Explain what you want and under what conditions your circle will work. In an additional education institution, it can become part of the overall structure. In cultural institutions, circles are most often created on self-sufficiency terms.

For a circle at an additional education institution, you will need to complete a package of documents common to similar institutions. Each children's art house has its own nuances, but what you definitely need is a program. You can take a standard program; they are available for many types of circles. Develop your working one based on it. Consider the age of the children and the number of hours allotted to you. Don’t forget to record your participation in competitions and exhibitions; these hours are also included in the total class time. The rest is the responsibility of the head of the institution.

The fate of the circle at a cultural institution is decided by the director of the cultural center. There are less strict requirements for documentation. You will need a work plan and attendance log. Make an estimate. Usually a fixed rental payment is required, and the rest is up to you. Consider the necessary costs for materials, etc.

You can create a children's circle even in your apartment. To do this, you need to register with the tax office as an individual entrepreneur and indicate “educational services” in the permitted activities. The pedagogical activities of individuals are not regulated by Russian legislation. So you can teach children an interesting and useful activity completely freely, if there is no need to issue them certificates of completion. By the way, as an individual entrepreneur, you can organize a children’s club in absolutely any institution that agrees to rent out premises for you.

note

If your circle becomes part of the structure of an institution, the management of the institution bears responsibility for the life and health of children. In an independent circle, you take responsibility.

Helpful advice

It may also turn out that the director of the children's creativity center does not have the opportunity to include your circle in the structure of the institution. In any case, this will take some time, because the issue must be agreed upon with the education committee. You can create a circle on self-sufficiency terms. You only need to agree with the director to rent an office for a few hours a week. In this case, you are essentially creating a new institution of additional education. It will be subject to all requirements of Russian legislation. You need to write the charter, choose founders, form of ownership, etc. If you are going to issue state-issued documents to graduates, you will also need licensing. This is a fairly lengthy procedure, which makes sense if you are creating a training center with a large number of clubs.
