Lace sconce pattern. Modeling lesson: How to sew a comfortable and beautiful bra. Bralette. For sewing panties you will need

A bra is a piece of underwear in a woman's wardrobe, designed to support and protect the chest, covering it from the eyes. It should be clearly distinguished that not every bra is a bodice. The bodice can also be part of a military uniform, and the upper part of the dress with a back. Most often, the underwear is meant by the bodice. To sew a lace bodice quickly and easily with your own hands, just follow a few instructions.

How to sew a lace bodice with your own hands in a step by step tutorial

In order to sew such a thin part of the wardrobe, you will need:

  • silk or lace;
  • piece of elastic lace;
  • scissors;
  • sewing needles;
  • sewing machine or needle and thread;
  • fasteners or hooks (can be used from an old bra).

This model resembles, rather, the top of a swimsuit. It is soft, pitted and cupless. Comfortable to wear and pleasant to the body, this model of underwear is suitable for owners of small breasts.

As a sample, you can use the top from an old swimsuit. You can open the bodice and see how the seams look, and then transfer the pattern to the fabric. You can - attach paper and circle the contours, which are used as the basis for building a pattern.

To begin with, two small triangles are cut out of the fabric of such a size that they cover the nipple and chest around. The size of the triangle is chosen independently; lace in a contrasting color is also used instead of fabric.

From a ribbon of elastic lace (it should not be too tight and look like a bandage), two strips are cut, one for each cup. The corners are cut at an angle of approximately 30 degrees and sewn with a zigzag seam.

A ribbon is cut off, the length of which is equal to the girth under the bust.

The resulting triangles, trimmed with lace, are placed on a piece of tape so that the middle of the triangles falls on the nipple. At this stage, you can’t rush, you need to carefully measure and sweep away the parts.

When the measurements are taken, the tape, hooks - fasteners, straps for the bodice are sewn together.

If desired, you can make straps with a cross on the neck, for this their length should be much longer.

Construction of a pattern.

A well-built pattern is a guarantee that the bodice will sit flawlessly. In order to correctly draw a pattern, it is necessary to take measurements correctly.

To determine the size of the cups that will fit to the chest, two dimensional signs are required. The first, and most important, is the underbust. This dimensional sign is removed directly under the base of the chest. It is this size that is the universal European standard, which is taken into account when designing and labeling underwear.

The second dimensional feature, no less important, is the chest girth. To take this size, the centimeter passes horizontally around the body along the most protruding points of the chest. It is worth noting that the centimeter should not sag or be too tight. In addition, its parallelism to the floor is very important.

It is the difference between these two sizes that determines the size of the bra cup:

  • 12 cm - 14 cm = size A;
  • 14cm - 16cm = size B;
  • 16cm - 18cm = size C;
  • 18 cm - 20 cm = size D.
Lace bra.

A lace bra is one of the most sought-after and intimate items in a woman's wardrobe. A bra is a translucent light lace that does not support the chest and does not give it a shape, but only hides the skin.

To sew a classic bra, you need to use a standard pattern, small changes in the shape of which will help to upset the cup on the chest of any shape.

It is very convenient to use existing linen to build a pattern. To do this, a sheet of soft paper is applied to a bra that fits well and is comfortable in all respects and is drawn around the seams. It is very important to follow the directions of the seams, then the linen will be comfortable in shape. When the parts of the bodice are ready and drawn, it is necessary to decide how to sew them together. There are several options:

  • transfer the pattern to the fabric, making 5 mm allowances at the seams in such a way that the tucks converge in the center, forming a triangle with the apex at the nipple;
  • cut separately the parts of the bra, using the same allowance, and then sew them together from the wrong side.

When the sewing method is selected, you can start sewing on the straps and elastic band under the bust. If desired, the sconce is complemented by decorative elements - ribbons, bows, rings to adjust the length of the straps.

Each seamstress can choose the finishing method independently, inspired by modern fashion shows.

Greetings, my dear reader!

I have been designing and sewing lingerie for a long time.

In the trainings, everything was already sorted out about different bras - both with bones and without stones.

But the topic of lace bras with triangular cups has not yet been described - all hands did not reach. And such an incredibly feminine item of women's wardrobe should be in every girl. In addition, such a bra is now very popular. And today we will sew such a model:

It is also often called bralette, or bralettes, but in English the name is still bralette. There is no exact translation of this word in Russian. Literally translated as bra bra, and the second part of the word is not translated in any way. For example - let - allow. Well, okay, let's get down to business.

Let's start with a short overview, and at the end of the article, watch the video - useful tips on cutting and modeling such a thing.

What are the types of triangle bras?

You can conditionally divide bralette bra models into four main types, and all these models can be sewn in one pattern.

1 - Bra with triangular soft cups, with a narrow - up to 2 cm belt

2 - a bra with soft cups, but with a high lace belt - from 2 to 6 and even 15 cm high

3 - bra with straps designed as a continuation of the cup.

The shape of such straps follows from the design of the lace itself and can be designed very simply.

Well, type 4: in bralets there are various lace inserts on the back or combinations of strap fastenings - in the form of an ingenious mesh on the cup.

And a different combination of belts, straps, inserts and lace - these are already dozens of different models that you can now create yourself

What materials and accessories are best to choose for sewing such a product

The main material is lace for the cup of such a bra. According to properties - best of all elastic, but not too much. For example, in this article we will analyze a model that is sewn from a lace strip about 20 cm wide and with a stretch coefficient of about 10 cm, the fabric stretches another 2.5 cm.

Elastic bands are also used for the belt, for straps and, in some types, softer elastic decorative bands for processing the edges of the cups.

You will also need special inlays for processing the seams of the cup. Such inlays protect the seams from stretching and strengthen it. After all, elastic lace can stretch to such an extent that the stitching seams of the cup itself simply burst. But about seams and inlays in more detail a little lower.

From the accessories, you will need the usual regulators and rings according to the size of the width of the shoulder strap - for attaching the straps on the back and in order to change the length of the straps for you.

As well as the usual hook for fastening on the back. This hook can be bought either specifically for fastening, or simply removed from an unnecessary bra - this hook is usually attached to the ends of the detachable straps of the most ordinary bra.

Also, such a product - as a light lace bra can be completely without a fastener, or as an option - it can be tied with ribbons in front of the cups.

What else? Prepare a silk ribbon for a bow.

Threads are used the most common - sewing.

Equipment, stitches and seams for making linen

For sewing linen products, elastic stitching is indispensable. This is a simple one-step zigzag.

If you have a sewing machine with this feature, great! You can already sew any linen product. The so-called "three-step zigzag" line is also welcome.

This line expands the possibilities in tailoring linen and improves the appearance and quality.

It is also advisable to use a four-thread knitted overlock when sewing bralets - for stitching cup details. But you can do without it and replace the overlock seam, for example, with a simple zigzag.

It is also desirable to have a flat-seam machine - for sewing a belt on cups. But this is if you sew for sale. If there is no flat seam, a flat seam is also replaced with a simple or three-step zigzag.

Well, as a result - I repeat: if you have one simple zigzag and a straight line - you can sew bracelets. If there is no zigzag, you won't be able to.

We will sew just such a model: this is a bra with triangular cups, with a high lace belt with a clasp on the back in the form of a “droplet” on a metal hook and an air loop from a waist band.

Today we will hold a master class on sewing a lace bodice. It turns out very stylish and sexy, in the end you will see everything for yourself.

Believe it or not, but now I sew this underwear not only for myself, but also to order. What we need to work:

    Pattern;
    Shop lace;
    Elastic;
    Sharp scissors;
    Threads, pins;
    Sewing machine and steamer.

We apply the pattern to the lace and cut out 4 elements of future bra cups.

Now we fix them together with pins and sew them. First by hand and then by machine.

Now let's move on to rubber. We measure our volume, measure the elastic bands 7 cm less, because it will still stretch, and cut it off. If your volume is 80, then we need about 73 cm of elastic bands. Next, we mark its middle, the places of the tucks, as well as the area of \u200b\u200bthe edge of the triangles, so that the cup turns out to be a little reassembled. In my case, the length of the cup is 22 cm, and I measured 18 cm.

We pin an elastic band to the triangles, and manually sew the details.

We start sewing on the rings that will adjust the straps. Cut off two thin elastic bands about 7 cm long.

We thread the elastic bands into rings and sew them inside the main elastic band, retreating 7 cm from the triangles. I sew with a small zigzag on a typewriter several times, it’s more reliable.

Using a sewing machine, we sew the straps to the cups. To do this, you need to cut off 40-50 cm of a thin elastic band.

We pass the elastic bands through the ring and the regulator, then sew it to the lower elastic band of the bodice.

The matter remains small, we sew on a hook and a ring on which the bra will be fastened. We bend the edges of the elastic band and process them with a small zigzag.

At the end of the tailoring, you should have such a cute product that is ideal for a romantic meeting.

And here are some more of my own works that were sold for good money.

A bra is an indispensable item in every woman's wardrobe. Initially, this piece of clothing performed a protective function, but modern fashion has transformed it into an item of luxury and seduction. Lace models are the most popular. They are designed to give a woman self-confidence and sexuality. However, the price of a quality bra is very high, and it is quite difficult to find the right model. Sewing a bra bra with your own hands will not be difficult, and the result will certainly please and become your pride. In this article you will find a detailed master class with a photo, which will describe the process of sewing lace underwear.

History of the bra

The progenitor of the modern bra is the chest bandage of the ancient Egyptians and Romans. It was intended to support the breast in the lower part and hide its large size. Elastic small breasts were considered the dignity of wealthy townswomen, which they sought to emphasize in every possible way.

Already in those days, various types of dressings performed one function or another. There were bandages that supported the chest, restraining its growth and tightening curvaceous forms.

In Medieval Europe, corsets were used instead of bras. Their design included lead plates designed to contain breast growth. Fashion prescribed an absolutely flat profile. You can’t call this wardrobe item comfortable. The corset made the woman helpless and inactive.

It was only at the end of the 19th century that Hermine Cadol invented the modern model of the bodice. She was the complete opposite of the enslaving corset. According to legend, Madame Cadol simply cut off the lower part of the corset and provided the top with straps.

Since then, the bra has firmly taken root in the women's wardrobe. It has undergone many changes and has become a toilet for seduction and body decoration. As materials for tailoring, lace began to be widely used, giving the temptress more mystery and sexuality.

Unusual models

The technical revolution has made adjustments even to such an item of lingerie as a bra. Some of them turned out to be quite useful, while others made the bra look futuristic. Manufacturers offer the following unusual models of bras:

  • speaking;
  • musical;
  • changing color at the time of ovulation;
  • inflatable (inflates with a button);
  • measuring pulse and pressure;
  • with an air attack warning system;
  • aversion to tobacco;
  • remembering the shape of the breast;
  • made of 24 carat gold.

If you do not touch on such unusual innovations, then the leading place in the lingerie market is firmly entrenched in lace bras. This model is ideal for women with small breasts. It is ideal for everyday wear, does not restrict movement and fits nicely to the body. Even novice seamstresses with minimal skills can make this model.

Building a pattern

The key to a bodice that fits well to the body and does not restrict movement is a properly constructed pattern. To determine the size of the cups, you need to take measurements. The first step is to measure the girth under the base of the chest. It is on the basis of this parameter that the dimensional grid of linen is built. The second parameter is the chest circumference. Its measurement is carried out so that the centimeter tape runs horizontally along the back and the most protruding points of the bust.

The difference between the measurements is the cup size. A standard size chart will help determine it. The higher the number, the larger the cup size.

A standard pattern will help you sew a bra.

By making small adjustments, you can fit the cup to any bust shape.

Or you can rip open an old bra and transfer the details to paper, making a pattern. Or just attach a square piece of fabric to your own chest and draw a sketch of the future product. In this case, the pattern will look like this.

Sexy black bodice

To sew a black lace bra, you will need:

  • a small piece of high quality lace;
  • wide and narrow elastic bands (for the base and straps);
  • clasp;
  • sewing accessories;
  • pattern;
  • sewing machine.

The more expensive the selected material, the longer the sconce will last.

Arrange the pattern pieces on the lace so as to capture the openwork edges. They will give the product more charm and sexuality.

Prepared parts must be carefully sewn together. Try to match the pattern as you join the cup pieces.

Duplicate the seam on the sewing machine.

According to the measurements taken, cut a strip of thick elastic. For greater comfort, take measurements directly on the body. Make sure that the girth under the bust does not press and is not too loose.

Align the cups of the bodice and cut a piece of lace so that one side has an openwork edge, and the other is raw.

Position the elastic over the piece of fabric, tuck the raw edge. Here, place the bra cups and stitch with a zigzag seam.

Sew the fasteners to the edge of the thick elastic band.

Do a preliminary test. Attach a thin elastic band so that the straps of the desired length are formed. It is convenient to use the regulator.

Sew the straps in place. Luxurious bra bra is ready!

Pink model with a bow

You can create a gorgeous pink lace bra in exactly the same way.

Colorful photos of the process will help to follow the stages of work.

It is traditionally believed that sewing a bra with your own hands is not much easier than making a corset or even sewing a men's jacket! Perhaps there are fewer details in it and the design as a whole is less complicated, but the main problem is how to properly fit the bra so that it does not cause discomfort during wearing.

This lace bra will give you only positive emotions, so do not deny yourself the pleasure of sewing underwear that will be unique and individual.

? Read our tutorial!

Step 1

Using sharp sewing scissors (), we cut out from lace: 2 details of the front of the belt; 2 details of the back of the belt; 2 side parts of the cup; 2 cup centerpieces.

From lining fabric: 2 side details of a cup; 2 central details of the cup

Non-stretch mesh: 1 single piece to reinforce the center of the waistband (between the cups).
Allowances: depend on the width of the elastic band and braid. Because My elastic and braid are 1 cm wide, then the allowances along the upper cut of the belt and the side cut of the side part of the cup are 1 cm. On the side and central cuts of the belt - 0.5 cm. On the belt on the armholes for cups - 1 cm. On all details cups - 1 cm. On the upper central section of the front of the belt - 0.5 cm. On the details of the mesh - 0.5 cm on the armholes for cups, on the upper and lower sections without allowances. On the cut under the fastener, I do not give allowances. And because there is an openwork edge along the bottom of the belt and the top of the cup, then allowances are not provided. Accordingly, no allowances are given on the lining of the cups either.

Step 2

We grind the side and central sections of the belt, iron the allowances in different directions. On the center of the front we impose a part from the grid, we tack. We bend the upper allowance on the lace part of the belt to the wrong side, we tack.

Step 3

We put the side and central lace details of the cup on top of each other with the front sides.

On the central part of the cup we impose the central part of the cup from the lining.

Step 4

From above we impose the side part of the cup from the lining, we chop off (pins for work are possible), we sew. Do the same for the second cup.

We turn it inside out and get a seam hidden inside the cup.

Step 5

On the belt from the wrong side we put an elastic band on the lower openwork edge.

We stretch the elastic so that the fabric lies flat, without wrinkles. We attach the stretched elastic band in a zigzag pattern on both sides.

P.S. The length of the elastic band of medium elasticity should be about 10% shorter than the seam on the product. That is, if my belt is 72 cm long, then the elastic is 7.2 cm shorter.

Step 6

We put a narrow elastic band on the upper cut of the cup over the lining and attach it in a zigzag. By trial and error, I came to the conclusion that the elastic band on the upper edge of the cup should not be pulled. Under the pressure of the foot, in the process of stitching, it itself stretches a little. Do the same for the second cup.

On the side cut of the cup, cut off the allowance on the lining by 0.5 cm.

We get a belt with an elastic band sewn along the bottom edge and cups reinforced with a narrow elastic band along the upper edge.

Step 7

We attach the cups to the belt. We iron the allowances on the belt. An ironing pad is possible.

Step 8

We put a ring on the end of the gum, bend the gum and put it on the side cut of the cup on the front side so that the ring protrudes above the upper openwork edge of the cup, and the end of the gum is hidden between the gum and the fabric (I hope the description is clear). We stretch the elastic and sew in a zigzag along the inner edge.

Step 9

We bend the elastic and the fabric inside out and attach along the outer edge of the elastic.

Step 10

From the wrong side, we sew drawstrings for bones on the cup allowances and side seams. (For bones in the side seams, I used ordinary plastic regilin, which is sold by the meter, cut to the desired size and melted at the ends over the fire.) We insert the bones, we sew the drawstrings.

Step 11

Drawstrings for bones in cups are sewn in the center with a single seam.

Step 12

Sew on the clasp. Because with fasteners the same problem as with tunnel tape, I used hook and loop tape in the right color. To avoid excess thickness, we cut the elastic band to the width of the fastener, fold the lace on the wrong side, put the fastener on top, attach from the inner edge. From the outer edge, where the hooks are, sew by hand.

- beautiful lingerie along with the site!

Step 13

We place the straps approximately at a distance of 14 cm from each other (everything is individual here, I usually give such a distance). We step back from the clasp 7 cm, put the elastic in such a way that the lower end lies on the lower elastic band of the belt, we attach it. We put a ring on the upper end, bend the elastic with a cut inward, attach it. We pass a strap into the ring near the cup, we chop it off. At the other end of the straps, we thread the regulator, we thread the strap into the ring on the back, we thread the strap through the regulator, we cut it off.

We sew the straps.

Step 14

The allowances on the lace, which are below the elastic band of the belt, are hand-tipped with invisible stitches.
