A selection of Soviet postcards for the Victory Day. Military slogans, airborne forces, special forces and police

Poroshkin Alexander Ivanovich. Grandfather on the line of mom's mom
Born on 25 August a1922
A native of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Ust-Kulomsky district, the village of Ruch.
When the war started, my great-grandfather was 17 years old. Drafted into the ranks of the Red Army on October 24, 1941 (1 month after he turned 18) by the Troitsko-Pechora military enlistment office and sent to the city of Vologda.
From Vologda to Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast, to the Lepel Infantry School, where he studied.
After graduating from college with the rank of lieutenant, he was sent to the Volkhov front st. Pasha of the Leningrad region into the 7th separate army, 114th rifle division, 536th rifle regiment of the 3rd battalion.
He was appointed commander of a platoon (at the age of 18!) Of heavy machine gunners in Sinyavino.
Enemies held their defenses there. They wanted to launch an offensive at the end of April 1942 and completely surround Lake Ladoga and cut off the road of life for Leningrad.
The headquarters of the 7th Separate Army was ahead of the enemy's offensive. Was thrown back at once.
There were fierce battles, in which my great-grandfather was also. My grandfather's unit (unfortunately, I don't know how many people were in this unit) were surrounded. Around a swampy swamp. The enemy did not give an opportunity to raise his head. They were shooting from all sides. It was the month of April. Although it was warm during the day, the swamp froze over at night. And so they (soldiers, including my great-grandfather) lay in this swamp. Day and night! No food, I was carrying water !!! The "cuckoos" were at work.
One early morning at dawn, my great-grandfather discovered the "cuckoo" from the shots. There was steam. It turns out that the Germans hung loudspeakers around the swamp. They shoot in one place, but you can hear it all around. Doesn't let me raise my head.
My great-grandfather took aim with his rifle and removed the cuckoo with one shot. After that, we established a connection with our own people, help came. But only 36 people survived !!! More than 20 days !!! the unit was surrounded. April! And all dystrophies. Everyone (including my great-grandfather) was sent to the hospital.
After the hospital, my great-grandfather returned to the 536th Infantry Regiment, and there he learned that he had been awarded (unfortunately, we do not know what this award is).
The 536th Infantry Regiment was on the defensive and the soldiers studied the tactics of fighting the Finns and prepared for the upcoming battles to liberate the occupied territories. We went to reconnaissance, took out the "tongue" and passed on valuable information about the enemy to the command. Destroyed manpower and equipment of the enemy.
In the Army, my great-grandfather became a communist.
The formation of the Svir River remained in his memory for the rest of his life. The enemy was driven back. Ours captured the town of Lodeynoye Pole, Olonets, Pitkyaranta, Salma.
After the liberation of our territory and the conclusion of an armistice with Finland, which withdrew from the war, our troops surrendered their defenses to the fortified area and returned back to the town of Lodeinoe Pole.
Soon after that, my great-grandfather was taken to the headquarters (he was about 20 years old !!!) of the 536th rifle regiment in the combat unit, where my great-grandfather was given the rank of captain.
After that, part of Alexander Ivanovich was sent to the Murmansk direction to liberate the Soviet Zamorye. The war conditions were still harsh here. Open snowy space, searing frosts.
The Germans occupied all the high places and built up defenses. The entire neutral area was under fire. Nowhere to raise your head. Ours practiced combat tactics in the highlands and advanced to the front line.
After the artillery preparation, we advanced to the enemy trenches, but could not occupy the defense along the entire front line. The order was given to start the offensive again in the evening.
They broke through the defenses and moved forward, occupied Pestamo. The Marine Corps helped from the sea.
Then they sent me to Nickel. We settled down, took up the defense. And suddenly, from the rear, the Germans are marching towards our troops in a black cloud. My great-grandfather lay down at the machine gun and started scribbling. He released one tape, then began a second, and suddenly it was as if someone hit the back of the head with a butt. Alexander Ivanovich was wounded in the head. The sniper bullet hit the rear of the machine gun through the sighting window and exploded with a ricochet. It was October 24, 1944 (coincidence. October 24, but in 1941 my great-grandfather was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army).
The orderlies picked him up. He was unconscious. And they sent me to the medical battalion.
Only when he regained consciousness, he underwent surgery. It turns out that he had neither documents nor insignia. The only thing that has survived is the party ticket. And then there were hospitals: Pestamo, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Ulan-Ude. Hospital bed. Bedridden for almost six months.
My great-grandfather was returning home as a war invalid of the II-nd group (he was 22 years old ...). And at home there was already a second funeral for him. My great-grandfather took it and took it to the military registration and enlistment office.
The memory of the war - the fragments in his head did not give rest to his great-grandfather until the last days of his life. Great-grandfather died in October 1990

9th MayVictory Day- one of the most revered holidays in the entire post-Soviet space. During the years of the Soviet Union, military parades were held on this holiday, the traditional laying of flowers at the tomb of the unknown soldier, concerts, songs of the war years were heard from everywhere, and in the evenings victorious fireworks thundered in the sky.

Today it is difficult to imagine May 9 without these events. But do not forget about Soviet postcards for Victory Day. Not a single one could do without this attribute. holiday on May 9 .

In the spring, postcards with spring flowers appeared in the kiosks "Soyuz Print" flag and coat of arms of the USSR , star icons and, of course, with the image of the two-color St. George ribbon. Instead of words of congratulations, on May 9 postcards, slogans were often printed glorifying the courage of soldiers and invincibility Homeland .

Postcards with Victory Day like other Soviet postcards, they were usually sent by mail. Surprisingly, even today, when you can call and send a postcard by e-mail, postcards are still alive. Elderly veterans, far from the Internet, like 30, 40, 50 years ago, congratulate their comrades in arms, relatives and friends.

Of course, postcards for May 9 have changed somewhat. Only flowers, St. George's ribbon, gratitude to the winners and joyful feelings that live in the heart of every citizen of our country on Victory Day remained the same.

Every year on Victory Day, "creative minds" endow the country's cities with idiocy of varying degrees of severity. We have collected the most egregious greeting posters of recent years.

The famous poster in Ivanteevka made a lot of noise. Under the caption "They fought for the Motherland!" the well-recognized crew of the German Junkers is captured.

In Oryol, on the occasion of Victory Day, a poster "Grandfather's Victory is My Victory" was hung. Among all the "grandfathers" of the child. apparently, not all are Soviet soldiers

In Barnaul, it was decided that the best of all congratulations on the Victory Day would be demonstrated by an American soldier among the palm trees of the island of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.

And this poster appeared in 2015 in the Sverdlovsk region. It would seem that it is quite difficult to confuse a Wehrmacht soldier with someone else. But no, the creators succeeded.

In the Chelyabinsk Region, the words "This is our VICTORY" are spoken by American soldiers hoisting a flag over the Japanese island of Iwo Jima. Yes, they had a victory there, but what does Chelyabinsk have to do with it?

In the Kaliningrad region, by May 9, congratulatory posters were hung with British soldiers in 1915 in the Dardanelles. The designer's cork brains did not even bother the cork helmets on the heads of the military.

In this photo, taken in Cheboksary, the Fritz in the background may not be immediately noticed, trying to understand whether this is a Serbian flag or someone else's?

Krasnodar. Again, "Remember ..." what the Russian flag looks like. Yes, what is there we remember - compare! He's half a meter to the right. In the photo, most likely the French Air Force, well at least, not Italian and not the time of Mussolini.

In Kaliningrad, German Tigers are placed on congratulations. Although, perhaps, the authors of the congratulations were guided by those residents who call the city in the old manner Koenigsberg.

Voronezh region. Although a star is painted on the tank, it is clearly not Soviet. Most likely, the poster depicts the American Sherman tank or another tank of the former allies. Any dog understands this!

They decided to congratulate the residents of Cheboksary on Victory Day with the help of a German mortar.

In Samara, an American Mustang-1 flies straight at a Soviet political instructor calling for an attack.

Several years ago in Kaliningrad, a greeting card for veterans had an advertisement for funeral services on the back. The ad unit reads: “Ritual services, including for military personnel; monuments (to the participants of the Great Patriotic War, military operations, pensioners of the Defense Ministry and other power structures at the expense of the budget); a large selection of natural stone; fences, tile laying, grave care, etc. " If you don't know what to give - give a certificate for a funeral!

This dwarf on horseback looks more like Tyrion Lanister from Game of Thrones than Marshal Georgy Zhukov. Perhaps because of this, it is not immediately striking that the fascist banners that the horse tramples are mirrored, therefore they look more like the symbols of the solstice than Nazism.

But if somewhere the topic of fascism can be considered not fully disclosed, then clearly not here. The Ural Bank may have wanted to make a reference to the 1418 days of the Great Patriotic War, but in the end we got the code slogan of the nationalists 14/88 (If you want more details, just google these four numbers). Although the interest on bank loans can indeed be called fascist, advertising for business is clearly not the best one.

But if the last poster was, albeit not the worst example of event marketing, then we don't even know. As much as we love naked girls, such posters and flyers cause only negative feelings.

May 9 is one of the most popular holidays in Russia and the former Soviet Union countries. Every year on this day, each of us recalls the horrors of war that Soviet soldiers managed to overcome.

70 years ago, after long and bloody battles on May 8, 1945 in the Berlin suburb of Karlshorst, in the building of a military engineering school at 22 hours 43 minutes CET (in Moscow it was already May 9), the Act of Germany's unconditional military surrender was signed.

In the war with Germany, about 2.5 million soldiers were involved. The losses incurred by the Soviet Union were enormous; according to some sources, our army lost up to fifteen thousand people a day. In just a few weeks in the Berlin operation, 1997 tanks, 2108 guns and 917 aircraft were lost.

But the losses did not affect the course of events, the Soviet troops still defeated the enemies, capturing about 480 thousand people and destroying 70 infantry, 11 motorized and 12 tank divisions of the enemy.

On May 9, 1945, a plane landed on Red Square, which delivered the German Surrender Act.

Already on June 24, 1945, the first Victory Parade took place, which was received by Marshal Zhukov, the parade commanded by Marshal Rokossovsky. The march on Red Square marched the regiments of the Belorussian, Leningrad, Karelian, Ukrainian fronts, as well as the combined regiment of the Navy. Ahead of all were the commanders of these regiments, Heroes of the Soviet Union, who carried flags and banners of the units that distinguished themselves in the war. At the end of the parade, 200 banners of defeated Germany were carried, which were dropped at the Lenin Mausoleum.

The first Victory Day was celebrated as, probably, very few holidays were celebrated in the history of the USSR and Russia. People on the streets congratulated each other, hugged, kissed and cried.

On May 9, in the evening in Moscow, the Victory Salute was given, the largest in the history of the USSR: out of a thousand guns, thirty volleys were fired.

Stalin signed a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR that May 9 becomes a public holiday - Victory Day and is declared a day off. At 6 o'clock in the morning Moscow time, this decree was read by radio announcer Levitan.

However, the day off on May 9 was only three years old. In 1948, it was ordered to forget about the war and to throw all the forces into the restoration of the national economy destroyed by the war. But as before, May 9 retained the status of a holiday: holiday cards were issued, front-line soldiers received congratulations.

And only in 1965 the holiday was again given what it deserved. May 9 again became a day off, parades resumed, large-scale fireworks in all Hero Cities and honoring veterans.

On May 9, 1995, Russians could witness two parades at once in Moscow: the first took place on Red Square, and the second, with the use of armored vehicles, on Poklonnaya Gora. From that moment on, military parades on Red Square, which do not take place every year, have become an annual event. But for some time the parades were held without military equipment - this tradition was restored later, in 2008.

However, one should not forget that for front-line soldiers, May 9 is not just Victory Day, but also a day of bitter memories. On the day of May 9, it is worth thinking about the deeds that the soldiers performed for the sake of victory, about the horrors of the war that they managed to endure. On this day, both joy and sadness are read in the eyes of millions of people. There are no families in Russia whom the war has spared. Therefore, on this day - May 9, every family remembers those who remained on the battlefields and those who established a peaceful life. And, of course, we congratulate those soldiers of the Great Patriotic War who are with us today.

And those who were not taken to the front forged Victory in the rear. Women, replacing the departed men, built tanks and planes, plowed and sowed, and also raised children, saved the future of the country.

The victory of 1945 is a great historical event in the life of our homeland.

In the spring, postcards with spring flowers, the flag and coat of arms of the USSR, star badges and, of course, with the image of the two-color St. George ribbon appeared in the kiosks "Soyuz Print". Instead of words of congratulations, on May 9 postcards, slogans were often printed glorifying the courage of soldiers and the invincibility of the Motherland.
