Women's clothing of Italian brands. Let's start with men's classic clothing. Top class brands

You can distinguish shoes of Italian brands from all the others, as soon as you put them on - here you can find a comfortable last, high-quality leather, hand finishing and, of course, an unsurpassed design that allows you not to choose between comfort and fashion. No wonder: the best Italian footwear brands are family businesses that have been polishing their skills for dozens and sometimes hundreds of years. Shoe secrets are inherited along with noble names and antiques. We have compiled a list of Italian footwear brands that stand out from the rest for their innovative approach to design, comfort and quality.

Salvatore ferragamo

As much as we love Italian shoe brands, few of them can boast a history like Salvatore Ferragamo. "Shoemaker of the stars", Ferragamo not only created shoes for the brightest actresses in Hollywood at the beginning of the last century - from Greta Garbo to Lauren Beccol. This Italian also earned himself the fame of "Leonardo Da Vinci" of the shoe world - almost all important inventions belong to him: for example, it was Salvatore Ferragamo who first made wedge and stiletto heels. He died quite young in 1960, but his family continues to this day. Ferragamo has always said that his dream is "to dress women from head to toe." Today this dream has come true, because Salvatore Ferragamo produces the required 4 ready-to-wear collections a year along with the collections of bags. But shoes are what you need to look for in the stores of this Italian brand in the first place!

Aquazzura

“I went to the big department stores and I didn't like anything,” recalls the founder of the Aquazzura brand, Edgardo Osorio, “all the shoes seemed too complicated, extreme, ugly and even funny. And I thought - what if someone wants laconic, but sexy shoes and can't find them? " Osorio launched his own brand in 2011, having previously worked for Salvatore Ferragamo and Roberto Cavalli. Although Osorio is Colombian and grew up between London and Miami, Italy is his place of power. Here he gained invaluable experience working with large brands, and here, in Florence, he built the headquarters for his own brand. The iconic Aquazzura models are The Sexy Thing cut-out ankle boots and lace-up Christy ballerinas, which Edgardo Osorio also reproduced in his capsule collection for alma mater Salvatore Ferragamo.

Pollini

Like many other Italian brands, Pollini was "born" in the small town of San Mauro Pascoli in the Emilia Romagna region. At first it was a family factory, leading its "pedigree" as far back as the end of the 18th century - the Pollini brothers' shoe workshop was known mainly for supplying shoes to Italian soldiers, first in the First World War, and then in the Second. How the Pollini brand was formed in 1956, when the first pair of women's shoes appeared under its own label. Since the early 2000s, the brand has been constantly changing creative directors and looking for its main creative code - such designers as Rifat Ozbek, Jonathan Saunders and Nicholas Kirkwood created shoes and clothes for Pollini. Nevertheless, the most successful decision for the brand was to appoint an Italian, not a foreigner, to this post - Herminio Cerbone, who had previously worked at Prada and Marni, finally endowed the old shoe brand with a unique sound. The most relevant shapes combined with vibrant graphics and a mix of different materials - modern Pollini shoes can always be distinguished from all the rest thanks to these details.

Baldinini

Another brand from the town of San Mauro Pascoli, founded a little over a hundred years ago, is Baldinini. Until the 70s of the last century, Baldinini was mainly engaged in tailoring shoes to order and worked only with the Italian market - but that all changed when the grandson of the founder Jimmy Baldinini took over the brand. Under his leadership, the brand became known all over the world, and the footwear acquired recognizable features - sensual details from fur or exotic leather, classic feminine forms and rich evening decoration even in sports accessories.

Ballin

The Ballin brand was born in post-war Italy in 1945 - it was then that the brothers Guido and Giorgio organized a small shoe factory in the attic of their house. A few years later, the factory moved to a spacious and bright building near Venice, but Ballin still retains a customized approach to work, and even today the handicraft is what distinguishes this brand from many others. “We only produce 20-30 pairs a day,” says designer Roberto Barina, “but I can vouch for each of them.” How else can you recognize Ballin shoes? The key detail is bows and decorations on the heels of shoes and ankle boots. But the most important thing is that the elegance of this shoe never argues with its relevance and modernity.

Casadei

San Mauro Pascoli became the birthplace of this brand as well - Quinto and Flora Casadei founded their manufacture in 1958 to create footwear for tourists on the Adriatic coast. But ten years later, the business grew to an international scale - the Casadei brand was talked about in Germany and the United States, largely because Quinto and Flora began to produce winter shoes. Today, the creative director of Casadei is the son of the founders, Cesare Casadei - it was he who came up with the main business card of the brand: shoes with high metal heels. But do not hesitate - convenience for Cesare is always in the forefront, and in these heels you will be able to dance all night!

Geox

The Geox brand has a history that is not as long as many previous ones, but it is the most interesting. Brand founder Mario Moretti Polegato is actually the heir to a wine company. But he came into the shoe business after an almost biblical story. Finding himself in 1992 on a business trip in the state of Nevada, Mario Moretti decided to go for a walk in the desert and after a few hours realized that his boots with rubber soles were clearly not suitable shoes for this. He punched holes in his shoes and it became much lighter. After this incident, Mario spent three years developing a prototype of a shoe that breathes - but after unsuccessful attempts to sell it to various companies, he founded his own - under the name Geox. The Moretti brand's philosophy is new technologies that allow you to wear shoes longer and feel more comfortable in them. And if you think that Geox still only produces sports shoes, then you are greatly mistaken - classic pumps and ultra-fashionable loafers are also in the collection of this Italian brand!

Gianvito rossi

Gianvito Rossi was brought up surrounded by beautiful shoes - what else can you expect from the childhood of the son of the famous shoe designer Sergio Rossi? In his father's name brand, Janvito worked for 20 years until the brand was bought by the Kering concern in 2005. “Suddenly I was in a world without shoes,” Rossi recalls, “and it was unbearable! I had to urgently come up with something and I decided to launch my own brand. " The Gianvito Rossi brand made its debut at Milan Fashion Week in 2007 - and immediately acquired fans, including in the world of stars. Gianvito Rossi's philosophy has always distinguished him favorably from other Italian brands - he did not pursue trends and excessive decor, but instead created shoes that were laconic and relevant at all times. Clean lines, the highest quality leather, rich colors - Gianvito Rossi shoes fit perfectly into any modern wardrobe.

Giuseppe Zanotti Design

Sexy, daring, bright, futuristic and rock-n-roll - these epithets can safely describe any pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes and not be mistaken. Giuseppe Zanotti often says that even in Italy they adore luxury and redundancy, but even there he was embarrassed to present his first collection - and in 1994 he left for New York, where at that time a passion for any European exotic reigned. The presentation at the Plaza Hotel was successful - so much so that Madonna herself became the first client of the young Italian. And since then, Zanotti shoes have been a must-have for any celebrity, whether they are over the knee boots embroidered with rhinestones or loafers with metal details.

AGL

This abbreviation hides the name Attilio Giusti Leombruni - the son of the founder of a shoe workshop in the Marche region continued his father's business and made a large shoe brand out of the family manufactory. Today, the brand is driven by three sisters, daughters of Attilio: Vera is in charge of public relations, Sarah is in charge of sales, and Marianna is in charge of design. Together they create a brand that feels most confident in modern realities - the brand has an ideal representation on social networks and the Internet, but most importantly, it has an up-to-date design that always meets the latest trends in shoe fashion.

Loriblu

Women's shoes of Italian brands are always different from all the others in their love for details - from rhinestones to embroidery. And the Loriblu brand has succeeded in this decor the most. Founded by Graziano Cuccu in the 70s, almost in the garage of his own house, the brand quickly got on its feet thanks to innovations - the Mignon model made of interwoven strips of leather, and jewelry sandals, which were created using Swarovski crystals. In the 90s his wife Annarita Pilotti joined Graziano and the brand became popular on the international market. Today, the brand's designers, as ever, keep up with the times - they create shoes with ombre, velvet and asymmetric graphic forms.

Have you ever thought about the fact that not all modern clothing companies that position themselves as authentic with almost half a century of history are in fact such? This review will focus on “pseudo-Italian” labels, which in fact are nothing more than a competent marketing move that hides the real country of origin of the products they offer.

The first thing to mention when starting the story about Italian pseudo-brands is that the products they offer do not have to be bad and of poor quality. Yes, by inventing a beautiful but illusory story for its company, its management deceives its buyer in advance. But, as practice shows, such measures are taken only because the current client is not interested in purchasing goods from a domestic manufacturer. Most are absolutely sure that the label on clothes "" is the same indestructible guarantor of quality and practicality.

So, we figured out why pseudo-Italian brands arise, now we will find out exactly how this happens. This is done according to a very primitive scheme:

  1. A company is registered in Italy, due to which its beautiful and harmonious foreign name appears;
  2. Then the address of its head office, headquarters is registered, and it is absolutely not necessary that the office will be located there in reality.

Although nominally the addresses and documents of the company are Italian, its management is Russian or Ukrainian and under the “Italian” it offers customers goods that were actually made either in China, or in Russia, or in Turkey (depending on where it is cheaper).

When the shoes or clothes are already ready, and all technical issues have been resolved, the only thing left to do is to correctly present the products to the public. Here a team of PR agents and advertising specialists is involved in the work, which comes up with a beautiful, eye-catching story for the newly-made brand. All of the above procedures are aimed at achieving one goal - to sell the product for more than its real value. After all, you must admit that you are ready to pay much more for a real branded Italian thing than for a similar one, but a domestic manufacturer.

Classification of pseudo-brands

All domestic clothing brands positioning themselves as brands of Italian origin can be conditionally subdivided into three types.

  1. The first type is represented by brands that, although they do not advertise much, do not hide their real origin, and from the Italian attributes they have only a foreign name. This type includes almost all modern Russian / Ukrainian labels.
One of the brightest representatives of the first type is the INCITY women's clothing chain.
  2. The second type includes those labels that talk about their homeland in a very veiled way. Starting the story about the process of development and formation, they meekly report that "the company appeared on the Russian market in such and such a year ...". Such words can be interpreted in different ways, and most people mean by them that at this time the stores of this brand began to open precisely in Russia, having previously gained success abroad. Such companies include, for example, Paolo Conte.
  3. The third type is pseudo-brands that deliberately mislead the client, making him believe in false information. They come up with beautiful legends and stories telling about the creation of the company, its long and thorny path to becoming on the world stage, "genuine Italian" quality, long-term traditions, etc.

At first glance, nothing is capable of giving away this kind of pseudo-brand. Everything in it, from the official website to the company logo, is created in such a way that the buyer has no doubts about the real homeland of the label. Such brands are especially dangerous in that, buying an expensive Italian thing, you end up with a low-quality domestic or Chinese-made product.

Review of Italian pseudo-brands

D.Polgri

D.Polgri is a fairly well-known chain of casual clothing stores for men. The brand does not come up with any special legends regarding the true Italian origin, but the name and its general concept correspond to the principle of "Italy". The quality of the offered goods is not bad, but the price is slightly overpriced.

This company supplies the Russian market with office-style clothing for men. Despite its true Turkish origin, the official website of the company is replete with news about the preservation of the exceptional traditions of Italian masters, their unique style in costumes. The quality / price ratio is pretty good.

Giovane Gentile - although the brand is endowed with a bright and sonorous name, clearly of Italian origin, it is entirely Turkish. The official online store contains the contact details of the true owner of Ergem Tekstil, but the homeland of the goods produced is still not widely advertised. Giovane Gentile outlets are found in a number of eastern and western European countries, but in Italy itself, the label's items cannot be found.

Henderson

Henderson is a well-known brand in Russia that represents high quality clothing. Although the real country of origin is not kept secret (in order to obtain information on this matter, it is enough just to visit the official website of the store, collections and advertising campaigns somehow unobtrusively allow buyers to believe that, in fact, the homeland of the company could be Italy or England.

The brand's garment factories are concentrated in China and Portugal. Suit models are developed in close partnership with leading European designers.

Henderson offers truly quality clothing at affordable prices.

Rico ponti

The name of the company unequivocally hints at its Italian roots, but the entire management team is concentrated in Russia. It is difficult to draw any unambiguous conclusions from the information presented on the official portal.

Vassa & Co

Despite the name typical for Italian companies, it is of Russian origin. This information is available on the website of the official online store, and it is quite easy to get it: you just need to visit the corresponding section "About the Company".

This is a fairly well-known office-style clothing brand for men, positioning itself as a true Italian brand. In reality, all of the company's products are manufactured in Poland, where its headquarters is located.

It is rather difficult to find information on the origin of Albione on the website of the official online store, no monosyllabic data is presented on it, however, if you study the Points of Sale section, you can see only Russian and Polish addresses in it.

The ratio of quality and price is not the most pleasant, the starting price of the suit is 20 thousand.

Alessandro manzoni

In fact, the brand belongs to the large domestic concern "Lady and Gentleman city". On the official website, it is written in black and white that the products produced are distinguished by genuine Italian quality and sophistication, excellent style, and this is followed by the very legendary story that tells about the origin of the company in Lombardy in 1989.

But all the official data and documents completely refute the stated fiction, presenting a certain Andrei Mikhailov as the responsible person, and Moscow as the place of registration of the enterprise.

Antonio Meneghetti

The firm is an ardent representative of pseudo-Italian brands. Its creators are actively promoting the information that the design of each clothing model is the result of the creativity of the Italian genius, Antonio Meneghetti. In reality, the stores of this label are open only in Russian and Ukrainian cities, and in Europe it is completely unknown about it.

De rossi

Another pseudo-Italian brand specializing in the production of pajamas, shirts and underwear.

The price-quality ratio is not very pleasant, most of the goods overcome the price threshold of 5-7 thousand.

There is no reliable information on the Internet regarding the country of manufacture of De Rossi clothing, and customer reviews are very contradictory.

Diplomat is a popular chain of luxury clothing stores in Russia, whose products are mainly represented by two brands Berger and A. Falkoni. According to legend, actively promoted by the store's sellers and existing advertising campaigns, the latter is entirely Italian.

In fact, no one has heard of these brands in Western European countries, which allows us to conclude that, most likely, clothing collections are developed and made in Turkey.

Fabio Paoloni is a chain of stores all over Russia. The company is being promoted as a long-term Italian brand. On the official website, however, there is no reliable information regarding the country of origin.

The price-performance ratio is poor. Most of the goods are much more expensive than similar domestic options, and the quality, according to reviews, leaves much to be desired.

Fratelli M

Another pseudo-Italian brand of menswear is Fratelli M. Its official website works in a bilingual format: Russian and Italian, and the Russian domain is also chosen. In the "Stores" section on the map, although there is a large number of circles scattered throughout Europe, in reality, the real addresses of retail outlets can only be obtained from Russia.

Giovanni Botticelli

The brand's website can be presented in three languages: Italian, English and Russian. In the “Stores” section you can find exclusively Russian addresses of boutiques, which allows us to conclude that this brand is also “fake” and has nothing to do with Italy.

The prices are not that democratic. For example, an ordinary basic tie can cost 1,500 rubles. It is pointless to say anything about quality, since the reviews are very contradictory.

Zolla

Zolla is a domestic sewing and production company for women's casual wear. The company's employees do not at all pursue the goal of lying about the true origin of the brand, but because of the name, a huge number of buyers firmly believe that they will be able to purchase real Italian things in the Zolla store.

Incanto

Incanto is one of the most famous brands of underwear, pajamas and shirts in Russia. The employees of the company are diligently trying to hide its real origin, by all means disguising the label as Italian. Although the official online store has a European domain, the server itself is located in the Russian Federation, which raises certain suspicions.

It was not possible to find any information about Incanto products on foreign sites.

Meucci

Meucci is a fairly large label that, according to the official version, produces real Italian high quality clothing. In reality, the products of this pseudo-brand are sewn at a domestic plant, which is located in the provincial town of Lobnya, in the Moscow region.

Meucci prices are high, absolutely not corresponding to the quality of the goods.

Mia-mia

Another company for the production of lingerie, self-proclaimed itself a real Italian brand. According to customer reviews, it is impossible to give an unambiguous assessment of the products, since they are contradictory.

The prices, however, are not democratic, and therefore the company raises even more suspicions.

Orsa

This chain of stores is another company that is part of the concern "Lady & Gentleman city", and therefore there is no need to argue about the truth of its Italian origin.

Orsa is another pseudo-brand offering goods of not very decent quality at inflated prices.

Roberto bruno
