How to treat fungus in folk ways. Herbs that increase immunity. Tea tree oil for toenail fungus

You can try to cope with the fungus on the toenails with folk remedies. However, such treatment can be effective only when the first symptoms appear (see pictures), i.e. in the initial stages of damage to the nail plate, and even then, not always.

Remember, if someone tells you that you can get rid of nail fungus quickly, it is not true! Removing the fungus is a long and tedious process.

So, what folk remedies can be used to cure nail fungus:

Iodine

Alcohol solution of iodine is the most popular home remedy for treating toenail fungus. Let's explain why. This strong antiseptic has proven fungicidal properties.

In addition, iodine is able to make proteins coagulate, destroy them.

This property also helps iodine to fight fungal diseases, because it is reliably known that the fungus has a protein structure.

Iodine, available to the masses due to its cheapness, is used not only to restore nails, but also for damaged areas of the feet, interdigital zones. But before you start treating nail fungus with a medicine such as iodine, remember that:

  • Iodine kills the majority species fungi, but not all.
  • Iodine can provoke allergies, therefore, a day before the start of the proposed course of treatment, drop a drop of iodine on the bend of the elbow. A contraindication to treatment is the occurrence of itching or redness. In this case, try another folk remedy for the fungus.
  • Iodine treatments contribute to the staining of the nail yellow.
  • Burns, dermatitis, and even thyroid problems are possible.
  • The drug is suitable only for nails affected by a fungal infection in the initial stage, when less than 1/3 of the nail is affected by the fungus.

Now you know how to treat nail fungus with iodine, and it's time to choose the right recipe.

Option number 1. A 5% alcohol solution should be applied twice a day, one drop to the nail affected by the fungus. It is convenient to do this with a cotton swab. Iodine is also applied to healthy nails, but in a smaller dosage: one drop every two days.

Option number 2. Add iodine to a basin of hot water and soak your feet in it for 10 minutes. The infected nail pieces are then cut off and 3% hydrogen peroxide is applied to the skin. The procedure is completed by applying a bandage with an antibacterial ointment.

Option number 3. The course is 6 weeks. The first two weeks, the nails are treated with fucorcin twice a day, the next two - with iodine solution, and the last two - with 9% vinegar.

Option number 4. Pour 1 tsp into a separate container (a medical bottle is suitable). iodine, nitrofungin, vinegar essence, garlic juice. With the resulting mixture, you need to lubricate the damaged nail, after steaming it and cutting off the loose part. The medicine is applied at night, before application must be shaken.

Option number 5. The course is 1 month. Every evening you need to do a 30-minute salt bath (for 1 liter of hot water, 2 tablespoons of sea salt and 1 tablespoon of baking soda). Half an hour later, without taking your feet out of the water, the affected areas of the skin and nails are sanded with a nail file or cut off with scissors. Then the feet should be washed with soap, put on gloves and treated with iodine on the entire surface of the foot, nail rollers, areas between the toes. On nails that are affected by the fungus, iodine is applied three times, waiting for each layer to dry.

Iodine treatment usually lasts about 2 months.

Whatever recipe you adopt, remember: you cannot process healthy and fungal nails with the same tools! Otherwise, the fungi will move to a healthy nail plate.

As always, we remind you that traditional medicine can only be an addition to traditional medicine. Be sure to consult your doctor!

Tea mushroom

From kombucha, immersed in a sugar solution for 7-8 days, a curative sweet and sour drink is obtained. It has many medicinal properties, among them the ability to kill pathogenic bacteria and retard their growth.

This is why traditional healers use kombucha to treat fungal nail infections.

You can use kombucha in two folk ways: rubbing in and applying a compress.

Rubbing. Free a small piece of kombucha from the films and grind to a state of gruel. It should be rubbed into the nail plates affected by the fungus, 2-3 times a day.

Compresses. Separate one layer from the kombucha, soak it in water. This completes the preparations for applying the compress. In the evening, a piece of mushroom should be applied in the nail plate, put cellophane on top of it and put on 2-3 socks so as not to stain the bed linen. The pain that occurs in the first few procedures is worth enduring for the sake of recovery.

In the morning, the compress is removed, the feet are washed in warm water, and then they begin to remove the dead pieces of the nail. The damaged surface is lubricated with a strong solution of potassium permanganate or brilliant green. Treatment of nail fungus with Kombucha continues for 3-7 days, and another 1-2 days for preventive purposes.

And yes, according to official medicine, the effectiveness of this remedy is questionable.

Copper sulfate

Copper sulfate is used by fans of folk healing methods both for the treatment of infectious diseases and for the treatment of toenail fungus. Often, treatment of nail fungus with copper sulfate is combined with medication.

There are two options for using copper sulfate:

1. Copper sulfate solution. Prepare it like this: in 1 liter. boiled water dissolve 1 tsp. vitriol. This is a concentrated solution, so it must be diluted before use - 1 tablespoon of the solution in 1.5 liters of water.

  • The water for the bath is heated (it should be warm)
  • Add the required amount of solution.
  • Lower your feet into the bath for 10-15 minutes.
  • The nail plates are treated with the agent prescribed by the doctor.

2. Ointment. Copper sulfate (1 tsp) is calcined in a pan until it changes color - it should turn white or gray. Then we mix in 1 tsp taken also. yellow sulfur powder, tar (or goose fat). All components are mixed and heated. The resulting ointment is applied to sore nails.

Birch tar and tar soap

Birch tar is a product obtained by dry distillation of birch bark. It is successfully used as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent. Treatment of nail fungus with birch tar is also effective, because it perfectly softens keratinized skin. Folk healers suggest lubricating the skin with pure birch tar, as well as applying shaken mixtures and ointments prepared on the basis of tar.

Natural birch tar is applied to pre-treated feet: they are steamed in a soapy bath (15 minutes), after which the nails affected by the fungus are cut off and the dead skin is removed from the feet. The interdigital zones are wiped dry, and birch tar is applied to the affected areas with a cotton swab, lightly rubbing into the skin.

For 1.5 hours, do not move or put on any shoes. The ointment should be absorbed into the skin with air access. Then socks made of natural materials are put on the feet. After 2-3 days, the feet are washed in cold water and soap and the procedure is repeated again. During treatment, the insoles can also be treated with birch tar.

Treatment of nail fungus with tar is also possible by means of an ointment. To prepare it, you should take any fat base (baby cream, for example, or interior fat), and add tar to it. At the beginning of treatment, its concentration should not exceed 5%. Subsequently, you can use up to 15-20% of tar.

Some people prefer to use sulfuric tar ointment. It contains 3 parts of tar, 2 parts of sulfur powder and 10 parts of a fatty base. These components are heated and mixed until smooth. Such an ointment is applied to the nail, and a plaster is placed on top.

The most convenient way is to use a chatterbox. It consists of glycerin and tar, taken in 50 ml and 70 ml. alcohol. The ingredients are mixed in a dark bowl and the affected nails are lubricated several times a day.

About 10% of birch tar is contained in tar soap. Yes, it smells unpleasant, but the skin is well disinfected and recovers quickly. Here are just a few options for using tar soap.

Option 1. Foot baths. Grate tar soap, measure 2 tbsp. Bring this amount to complete dissolution in 2 liters of hot water, and then lower the feet into the solution for 15-20 minutes.

Option 2. 1 tbsp grated soap is slightly diluted with water, add 2 tsp. baking soda and stir vigorously. The resulting mixture is rubbed into the affected nail. This is done once a day using a hard toothbrush.

Option 3. Nails are thoroughly lathered with tar soap, and salt is sprinkled on top of the foam. The toes and feet are wrapped in a bandage for aesthetic reasons. In the morning, the bandage is removed, and the legs are washed with warm water. It is believed that after a week, the fungus should recede.

Sea and table salt

Table salt disinfects pathogenic microflora, and sea salt softens the nail and acts like an antiseptic.

This is not about treatment, but only about adjuvant therapy.

  • Dissolve salt and soda in cold water. The ingredients are taken on a spoon. Session - 10 minutes, after which the feet are washed with warm water.
  • Salt and vinegar baths are made every day. The solution is made from 100 gr. salt (sea or table salt), 4 liters of water and 4. tbsp. vinegar.
  • An effective method is to apply salt mixed with crushed mint to the affected nail plates.
  • A cotton swab dipped in a solution of concentrated sea salt (a spoonful of salt in a glass of water) is applied to the nail for a couple of minutes. At the end of the procedure, the feet are washed with soda water. The course of treatment is 10 days, while burning and itching are considered normal.
  • Baths with sea salt and essential oils are also made for 10 days. For them, you will need to fill the basin with hot water at the rate of 1 liter. water 1.5 tbsp. salt, stir until the salt crystals are completely dissolved and add per 1 liter. water or 1 tsp. essential oil, or 1 tsp. lemon, or 0.25 ml. iodine. Course - once a day for 10 days in a row, then a break for 2-3 days.
  • A neglected nail fungus is treated with garlic water. To prepare it, dissolve a spoonful of salt and a crushed garlic clove in a glass of water. After complete cooling, the solution is filtered, and another 4 tablespoons are added. salt. The lesion sites are treated with garlic water twice a day.
  • Pour a packet of salt into a bowl, dip your leg in water and rub it with salt. Then the wet salt is collected with dry salt, the remains are shaken off with a brush.

Vinegar: apple cider, wine and vinegar essence

Use vinegar at a concentration of 9%, no more

The fungus dies in an acidic environment. This is why vinegar is so popular with those looking to get rid of a fungal nail infection. Treatment of nail fungus with acetic acid can help even in especially advanced cases. But you need to prepare for a long course of treatment and possible burns.

The easiest way to use vinegar is to wet your nails with it, put on thick socks made from natural materials and go to bed. You can mix iodine and 9% vinegar in equal proportions, and lubricate the nail plates and feet with the resulting solution.

Like any strong acid, vinegar will kill fungus. And just like any acid, it can cause burns. Before embarking on such a treatment, ask yourself why you can't buy a pharmacy instead of vinegar?

Foot bath

Components: a bowl of water, 250 ml. vinegar (table or apple cider). The principle of treatment and duration: the water is heated, vinegar is poured in, the legs are lowered and soared before going to bed for 10-15 minutes. The feet are wiped without rinsing, and antifungal agents prescribed by the doctor are applied. Such baths are made every 2 days.

Lotions with vinegar

Components: vinegar 9%. The principle of treatment and duration: moisten a cotton swab in vinegar, squeeze it and apply to the nail affected by the fungus. The tampon should not protrude beyond the nail. Secure a cotton swab with adhesive plaster, put on a sock. The course of treatment is 7 days, a session once a day, then a break for 2-3 days.

Components: 2 tbsp. essences, 3 chicken proteins (alternative - 1 tablespoon glycerin), 2 tablespoons vodka. Principle of treatment and duration: gauze or cotton swab is moistened with a solution, which is then applied to the affected nail plate for 15 minutes. The course of treatment is 6-12 months, the procedure is every day.

Components: vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar in equal proportions. The principle of treatment and duration: a gauze swab is moistened with a solution, which is fixed with a plaster for convenience. Apply until a new nail grows back.

Ointment

Components: 2 tbsp. spoons of 70% vinegar, 1 tbsp. dimethyl phtolate, 1 tbsp. glycerin, 1 tbsp. olive oil. Principle of treatment and duration: after thorough mixing of the components, the ointment is ready for use. It should be applied once a day to the nail plate with massage movements (you can use a cotton swab). Then a plastic bag and socks are put on the feet. In the morning, the feet are washed with laundry soap in warm water.

Celandine

Celandine is a plant poisonous, but if you use it in reasonable amounts, then you can quickly cope with the fungus of toenails, even in advanced cases. Phytotherapists to fight the fungus advise using both celandine juice and medicinal baths, and ointments, and tinctures. Here are some options for making them.

Celandine juice

Freshly picked celandine is passed through a meat grinder, and juice is squeezed out of the resulting pulp (this is done through 3-4 layers of gauze). It should come out about 200 ml. juice. It is combined with 200 ml. 70% alcohol and infused for 24 hours. The prepared juice is used to lubricate the affected nails, but the treatment is carried out only after 10 minutes of steaming the legs and their complete drying. Do 3-4 treatments a day. Treatment, as always, is carried out until a healthy nail grows back.

Foot baths

An infusion of celandine is added to the foot bath. It is prepared like this: in a liter of boiling water, brew for 15-20 minutes 100 gr. dried celandine. After straining, the infusion is ready for use. Infusion and water are poured into the tray in a 1: 1 ratio. You need to soar your feet for 15-25 minutes.

Ointment

The composition of the ointment, in addition to 5 drops of celandine juice, includes 4 tablespoons. boiled cooled water, 2 drops of oregano juice and 2 drops of calendula tincture. The components are mixed and the resulting ointment is treated with the nails affected by the fungus, 3 treatments per day.

Tincture of celandine

Celandine for nail fungus in the form of alcohol tincture is used very carefully. To prepare the tincture, you will need vodka and celandine herb in a 2: 1 ratio. The remedy is infused for 12 days and then used for treatment. It is worth starting with 5 drops, gradually increasing their number to 20.

Celandine oil

You can buy it at the pharmacy, or you can prepare it yourself. If you follow a more difficult path, then proceed according to the scheme. Dry celandine, put it in a glass jar, fill with any oil (for example, sunflower, almond, peach). It should rise above the grass by 2-3 cm (remember the number). The mixture should stand in a warm place for an hour, and then for a whole week in a cold and dark place. After 7 days, the same amount of oil is added. It is now ready to use.

Steam the legs, treat with peroxide, then treat the nails (remove the affected plates, trim the edges) and apply celandine oil topically. Course - until complete recovery.

Soda

Here are some soda-based recipes:

Soap and soda baths

They cannot completely replace drug therapy. Their main advantage is the softening of horny layers, which do not allow ointments and creams to penetrate under the nail. Components for 7-10 liters of water:

  • 3 tbsp. soda
  • 3 tbsp grated soap (household or tar)

The components are thoroughly mixed (until the soap and soda dissolve), and then the feet soar for 15-20 minutes. The procedure ends with cutting nails, cleaning the affected areas, applying antifungal agents to dry nails and feet. The course is a 3-4 day procedure.

It should be said that soda is used for douching with an intimate fungus, because copes well with fungi of the genus Candida on the mucous membrane. Its use for the treatment of nails remains a big question.

Soda paste

The required amount of soda is diluted with water to a thick slurry. Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed. Soda paste is applied in a layer of equal thickness to the nail. A few drops of lemon juice drip on top of the baking soda. The result will be a slight tingling sensation and the formation of characteristic bubbles. After five minutes, the paste is removed by washing your feet with warm water and soap.

Treatment of nail fungus with soda must be combined with treatment with antifungal ointments.

Hydrogen peroxide as a folk method

This product disinfects and softens the affected nail. This treatment allows other drugs to freely penetrate deep into the nail plate. If you don't use peroxide on your feet or when cutting your toenails, you can get even more infections.

Of all the listed methods, treatment with peroxide is almost the only adequate method that brings results.

Let's list the most popular folk ways to use hydrogen peroxide.

Cotton pads

Helps to soften the nail before treatment with antifungal drugs. After steaming, cotton wool soaked in hydrogen peroxide is applied to the nail affected by the fungus. The procedure is repeated twice a day for 3-4 weeks.

Peroxide baths

An aqueous solution is made with 3% hydrogen peroxide and the feet are lowered into it for 2 minutes. At the end of the procedure, the nail plates are lubricated with a gruel of water and peroxide.

Unmasking the "healers"

I tried peroxide and iodine - zero complete. The fungus grew and grew further. I decided to quit self-medication and went to the doctor. I underwent treatment with mycosan and now I just apply it to my nails so as not to get infected with it again when I go out somewhere where I can pick it up.

My mom tried to treat fungus with vinegar essence. I do not know exactly what and how she did it, but the burn was not weak. What I mean is that you need to follow the recipe exactly and follow all the recommendations.

Some of the recipes are simply stupid (for example, it is completely incomprehensible why to boil copper sulfate or drip lemon juice on soda - both measures with the point of preserving the active substance are meaningless), and all those based on the use of an iodine solution are also EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Competent endocrinologists have long explained that this lung disease leads to the development of autoimmune thyroiditis. But AIT, unlike fungi, is 100% lifelong.
“Itching and slight burning sensation. This speaks of a healing effect. " - do not make me laugh! This speaks of a chemical burn!
People, don't joke with iodine! This is very serious!
In 1 ml of iodine tincture of iodine, about 500 times the daily value of an adult!

Thanks for the comments on the video, disliked :) This professor looks like a rare charlotte. Here's from his website:

    - colon hydrotherapy (an expensive and rather strange procedure that is not recognized by official medicine)

    - correction of the biofield structure of a person (what is that in general ?? this is written by a person who calls himself a member of the RAS !!!)

    - ultraviolet blood irradiation, magnetotherapy, laxatives and applicators - a complete set for charlotteism.

    • Ivan Pavlovich Neumyvakin - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the European and Russian Academies of Natural Sciences, International Academy of Informatization and Energy Information Sciences, Medical and Technical Sciences, Honored Inventor of Russia, Laureate of the State Prize, has numerous awards. This is such a "charlatan"!

      • Please do not confuse R.A.E.N. and, for example, R.A.N. or other government academies.

“The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is a complete lime tree, it is a voluntary organization where those who have not been chosen by the RAS or other real academies go” - the words of VL Ginzburg, Nobel laureate and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Served in the Soviet army "YUGV" skin fungus (between the toes) was
every second soldier. I lasted a year, but then I picked it up too.
Because the disease was showing signs of an epidemic, an order for the group of troops was read out to us.
"Everyone to run in the morning dew" I didn't have to run, but they said that it helps a lot. I just "burned out" my fungus. I poured aviation kerosene several times (5 - 6) on my feet. I remembered about him two months later, there was nothing - a clean foot!

"Dead" water helps with itching - just wipe it with a swab moistened with water at least once a day and the itching disappears almost immediately. It also helps against nail fungus - treat it once or twice a week. Water is easy to obtain at home (see "living and dead" water).
The second recipe: treat the nail with a rust neutralizer (sold in auto parts), it contains a weak phosphoric acid, which kills the fungus. Thus, I got rid of the advanced (gone under the skin) fungus of the thumbs. The treatment is carried out by moistening with a swab (I used a cotton swab) once or twice a month, removing the old nail.

I read your recommendations ... I was treated for a long time with all sorts of drugs and folk remedies, until this infection occupied all my toenails. Somewhere I read the usual 6-9% vinegar. Every evening I made baths for 20 minutes, for 2-3 liters of warm water 1.5-2 cups of vinegar and after them I cut off the rot as I could. In the morning he smeared all his nails with clean vinegar, a cotton swab, periodically processed shoes with it. Yes, my feet and shoes smelled like vinegar, but it was not fatal even for those around me. Gradually, new, healthy nails began to grow. After 1.5-2 months everything was restored. Now, only once every 3-4 days in the morning I smear my nails with vinegar, and once every 2-3 weeks I do baths for prophylaxis. By the way, the fungus on the skin on the plantar side of the feet was significantly reduced the same. There are no corns and warts (or whatever they are called there). Don't waste crazy money on a pharmacy, nothing helps. Everything is loose there or there is no active principle at all. Good luck

I was diagnosed with diabetes. This summer I noticed that I have a rash under my arms. I went to the doctor. The doctor diagnosed it as a skin candidiasis. Perhaps due to metabolic disorders. Binafin wrote out. After taking the pills for two weeks, the skin returned to normal.

I often go to the pool to keep fit. At some point, I noticed that the toes on my left foot turned white. At first I thought it was from chlorinated water. Then the edge of the nail began to crumble. At the reception, the doctor said that I had onychomycosis, perhaps, caught the fungus in the shower. First prescribed exoderil, but there was no improvement. At first I offered lamisil, but warned that it was expensive. I asked for a medicine cheaper. The doctor prescribed binafine pills. By the way, it is 2.5 times cheaper. I have been taking Binafine for almost 5 months. Long treatment, of course, but now the nails are fine and I go to the pool again.

All information is presented for educational purposes. Do not self-medicate, it is dangerous! An accurate diagnosis can only be made by a doctor.

Nail fungus (onychomycosis) is a contagious infection. Every 5th inhabitant of our planet is affected by it. You can catch the fungus by walking barefoot in the water park, pool or on the beach. Also, onychomycosis is transmitted during trying on shoes of a sick person and when using non-sterile accessories for manicure and pedicure.

You can remove the nail fungus in different ways, but folk remedies are the safest for the body. Unlike pharmacy antimycotics, they do not have a toxic effect and do not disrupt the work of vital organs.

Today we will talk about what folk remedies can be used to cure nail fungus and how to do it right at home.

When onychomycosis affects the nails on the hands or feet, it is important to be able to properly organize the treatment process.

It is better to buy disposable files for treating affected areas. If this is not possible, then all instruments will have to be thoroughly disinfected after each use. Before starting the procedure, it is recommended to steam, trim and grind the plates to remove thickened areas, scales and loose tissue.

Hot baths take 20 minutes. In a softened state, the nails are better perceived by the chosen folk remedy. Since fungal strains do not like an alkaline environment, it will be detrimental to them. Put it in the bath at the rate of 1 tbsp. l. x 2 - 3 liters of liquid. A higher concentration of soda solution will further soften the nails and surrounding skin.

While the fight against fungus is ongoing, increased attention should be paid to foot hygiene. The limbs should not sweat and rub with shoes, since moisture and friction are the reasons for the spread of onychomycosis. In the process of treating toenail fungus with folk remedies, it is necessary to often change socks, and after recovery, all things that have come into contact with hands and feet need to be boiled in a special disinfectant.

If a patient with onychomycosis lives in an apartment with his family, he must take care of the safety of the household and provide individual towels, slippers and other accessories for himself. Before and after water procedures, the shower cabin and bathtub must be washed with aggressive agents, since the fungus does not accept pouring boiling water over the accessories. A bar of tar soap is recommended for family members.

The first symptoms of nail fungus are flaking, brittleness and discoloration. The skin around the plates flakes, reddens and itches. Treatment of onychomycosis with folk remedies is effectively carried out at an early stage of the disease, until the strains have entered the phase of active development.

Effective folk remedies against nail fungus

Folk remedies for toenail fungus are allowed to be combined with pharmacy medicines prescribed by a dermatologist. The results of therapy in this case will be higher.

At home, onychomycosis is treated with herbs, foods and substances:

  • Vinegar.
  • Coffee.
  • Garlic.
  • Propolis.
  • Kerosene.
  • Novocaine.
  • Birch tar.
  • Essential oils.
  • Tea mushroom.
  • Hydrogen peroxide.
  • Tincture of apricot resin.

Consider the most effective measures in the treatment of nail fungus with folk remedies.

Vinegar

In order for the treatment of onychomycosis with vinegar to be effective, a product of the correct concentration should be used.

If vinegar essence is listed in folk recipes for toenail fungus, the patient should apply a 70% solution. When using table vinegar, you must take a product with a 6 or 9% acid content. More saturated compounds cause chemical burns.

Vegetable juices

The pungent juices of onion and garlic save you from many infectious diseases. Healers know how to get rid of nail fungus with onions and garlic and pass on working recipes between generations.

The easiest way is to lubricate the affected areas with fresh onion juice. A more complex recipe is to dissolve 1 tsp in 1 liter of water. salt and gruel squeezed from 1 clove of garlic. The drug is applied in the form of a compress.

The juice of garlic is mixed with water and pure medical alcohol (1: 1: 1) and the diseased plates are treated with the resulting product in the morning and in the evening. For a variety of therapy, garlic gruel is combined with butter, the drug is applied to damaged nails in the evening and fingers are bandaged until morning.

Treatment option for nail fungus with horseradish root:

An unusual recipe with tree resin: remove the "glue" from the bark of the apricot and fill it with vodka (1 tbsp. L x 1 glass). After 3 days, sore nails are lubricated with a solution, after shaking up the liquid. Apricot resin treatment allows you to get rid of nail fungus in 1 month.

Essential oils

Folk remedies based on essential oils are easy to apply and effective in combating fungus. They act equivalently to expensive pharmaceutical antimycotics. Plant esters are endowed with diverse healing properties - cleansing, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and regenerating skin and nail tissue.

Essential oils destroy the fungal flora and restore the damaged plate to its normal state.

Essential oils are used as folk remedies for toenail fungus in different ways:

  • Baths. The container is filled with 3 liters of hot water and 10 drops of any essential oil (ylang-ylang, lavender, rosemary, tea tree, etc.) are injected with a pipette. The limbs are rinsed with clean water and placed in a bowl with aromatic contents for 20 minutes. The procedure is completed by wrapping the legs in a warm towel for 15 minutes.
  • Compresses. A little essential oil is heated to t 30 ° C and 1 - 2 tablespoons of water are added. The composition is impregnated with a cotton swab and attached for 1 hour with a bandage or plaster to the nail damaged by the fungus. Thanks to the compress, the plate becomes soft and elastic. In this form, it is easier to cut and clean with a file.

In the absence of an allergy to undiluted, it is applied to a sore nail, previously steamed with warm soapy water. A piece of laundry soap is rubbed on a grater and thrown into hot water. The oil product is taken with a cotton swab and rubbed into the plate 2 r. in a day. The product is not washed off.

Essential oils for the treatment of onychomycosis are used daily until a full-fledged healthy nail grows back. The effectiveness of aromatherapy is enhanced by careful body hygiene.

How to cure nail fungus quickly

To quickly suppress the activity of the fungus that invaded the nail plate, external use is allowed according to the Neumyvakin method.

For the treatment of onychomycosis, the professor recommends steaming the feet in a soda solution (1 tsp for 1 liter of water), and then using nail tongs to "bite off" a small part of the affected nail. Next, a piece of cotton wool should be saturated with a 3% peroxide solution and applied to the nail area of the finger.

With a fungus on the hands, such an application is kept for 10 - 15 minutes, on the legs - from 40 to 60 minutes. The frequency of the sessions is 2 per day until complete recovery.

Baths for hands and feet with onychomycosis with hydrogen peroxide are made from water heated to 50 ° C and 3% peroxide. The ratio is 2 tbsp. l. x 1 liter of water. The limbs float 2 r. a day for 15 minutes. during the week.

Also, peroxide can be mixed with other substances and get effective folk remedies for the treatment of nail fungus:

  • Half a cup of slaked soda is dissolved in 4 cups of water and a quarter cup of hydrogen peroxide 3% is poured in. Half a cup of magnesium sulfate and a quarter cup of vinegar are added to the mixture. A cotton swab is soaked with the drug and the lotion is fixed with a plaster on the affected plate. Change the bandage every 10 hours. The general course of therapy is 1 month.
  • Vinegar is mixed with peroxide (the concentration of both substances is 3%) in equal proportions. While the mass hisses, the feet are immersed in it. Next, the tips of the fingers are placed for half a minute in bleach diluted with water, and the limbs are quickly washed under a running stream. The procedure is completed by treating the nails with a mixture of petroleum jelly and tea tree oil (1: 1) and wearing warm socks. The treatment lasts 1 week.

Lotions with Novocaine will help to quickly and effectively remove fungus from nails. A piece of cotton wool is impregnated with liquid medicine and tied to the injured plate. Just 2 lotions - and the fungus on the nails is cured forever.

Propolis

Propolis is considered a universal remedy for the treatment of many ailments. The product destroys fungal flora due to its fungicidal, bacteriostatic and wound healing properties.

The use of propolis for mycoses and onychomycosis prevents the development and spread of pathogens. The patient notes the disappearance of itching and inflammation. The affected nail is quickly replaced by a healthy plate.

Consider several variations of the folk method (hands) with propolis:

  • A 20% alcoholic propolis tincture is impregnated with a cotton swab and applied to the plate. A dry cotton wool is put on top and a finger is bandaged. After a day, the bandage is removed, the softened layer of the nail is removed with a file and the manipulation is repeated.
  • A piece of propolis is applied to the problem area, after steaming the arms or legs, and cleaning off the top layer. Propolis is kept for half an hour. Procedures are performed 2 r. a day for a month.
  • The solid form of propolis is crushed and mixed with an antifungal cream from a pharmacy. Lubricating the nail with the improved drug enhances the therapeutic effect of both agents.
  • Propolis tincture is added to foot baths, keeping the proportion of 15 drops to 3 liters of water. The bath is taken for 20 minutes, then the hands and feet are wiped, and the skin around the diseased plate is wiped with hydrogen peroxide.

With the help of propolis, onychomycosis is treated for 2 to 3 months. It is impossible to interrupt the course in order to avoid the occurrence of relapses. Subject to all the rules of therapy, the fungus is completely cured.

Along with drug therapy, the treatment of skin fungus with folk remedies does not lose its relevance. A fungal infection on the skin causes a lot of physical and aesthetic discomfort. Getting on the surface of the nails, the spores of the fungus penetrate deep into the nail plate and soon the first changes become noticeable. The nail plate fades and changes color, becoming yellow, brown or even black, spots or transverse grooves appear on it. Nails become brittle, begin to flake and crumble. If untreated, fungi can completely destroy the nail plate, as well as move to the skin of the fingers and feet. In this case, the treatment will be longer and more difficult.

In order to start the treatment of nail fungus in a timely manner, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the symptoms of the disease, which at the initial stage may be mild. What manifestations should you pay attention to?

  • flaky skin around the nails and between the toes;
  • yellow, cloudy, or dark nails;
  • crumbling nail plate;
  • redness around the nails;
  • delamination of nails;
  • pain when walking (especially with tight shoes)
  • the appearance of spots and grooves along and along the sides of the nail
  • inflammation, burning, and itching of the surrounding skin.

The greatest danger is posed by public places with a warm and humid microclimate and a large crowd of people:

  • saunas;
  • baths;
  • recreation areas (beach, water park);
  • pool;
  • gym.

In addition, you can pick up the fungus in a pedicure salon or when trying on shoes. The source of infection can be a family member with whom you share a shower or walk in the same slippers.

Therefore, it is very important to follow the rules of personal hygiene and be especially careful about your health in the summer, when the infection can wait at every step.

It's important to know!

The nail fungus is unusually tenacious, very quickly develops in itself immunity to the substances that make up antifungal drugs. Therefore, if you contracted it again or did not heal the last time, the drug used earlier will be useless. You should purchase a drug with a completely different principle of action.

It is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner for diagnostics, do not start the disease and start treatment on time, bring it to the end, in this case you will forget about such an unpleasant disease as nail fungus.
