How to determine your skin tone? What makeup to choose for olive skin

Even if you are an avid cosmetic minimalist, you probably use foundation or powder. Choosing foundation can be tricky, as each brand has its own color palette. I suggest you figure out the most common color designations, as well as how to choose the right foundation. I'll make a reservation right away that this is my personal opinion and vision, you may disagree with it.

Foundations differ not only in brightness - from light to dark, but also in the color itself - yellowish, peach, pink, grayish. To make it easier to understand, let's start with a small "educational program".

In color, there is a concept of warm and cold shades of the same color. For example, yellow can be both warm (yolk is a great example) and can be cold (lemon). It is not at all difficult to distinguish one from the other: it is as if a drop of red or orange was added to warm colors, and blue to cold colors. Here are some examples of these colors:

Left - warm, right - cold

Left - warm, right - cold

However, there are also neutral shades in which warm and cold are balanced. With them, everything is a little more complicated, but if you look at neutral shades in comparison with the previous two categories, then everything becomes clearer.

On the left - warm, in the middle - neutral, on the right - cold. They are all the same color at different temperatures. The cool red looks much pinker and lighter than the others. These are the features of the perception of color by the eye.

Cool (pink), neutral and warm (yellow) beige looks like this on most brands of foundation.

And one more category of shades, which is found exclusively in tonal means and is, in my opinion, the most difficult. They are neutrals with a warm or cold undertone. How so? It looks like it would have added quite a bit of a warm or cold shade to a neutral color. It cannot be called pronouncedly warm or cold, but it is also neutral - it is in the middle. This category is found mainly in brands where the color palette of products is very wide.

Why are there so many nuances?

The fact is that the skin tone even among people of the same race is still different. For example, you have a neutral skin tone, one brand has a division into yellowish and pinkish colors, and the other also has neutral colors. Most likely, in both cases, you will find your color, but the second brand does not have to shade this color thoroughly, since the shade will perfectly blend in with your skin. It is for this that such a variety of shades is needed.

The difficulty lies in the fact that at the moment there is no unified system of names and color classification of tonal means. That is why many brands consider pink skin tone to be only cold and nothing else (what about people with peach skin?), And yellow - warm (but what about olive, greenish skin?). Others divide both pink and yellow into cold and warm.

However, the most common division is:

  • Warm - warm yellow
  • Cool - cold pink
  • Neutral - neutral
  • Neutral warm - neutral warm (yellow)
  • Neutral cool - neutral cold (pink)

However, the popular professional brand MAC divides the shades in a very different way. MAC's Cool is yellow and Warm is pink.

So let's summarize:

  1. There is a division into warm, cold, neutral and neutral shades with a cold / warm undertone. The same beige color can be with these shades.
  2. Each brand has its own classification, but the likelihood of finding the ideal tone is greater for those brands that have the widest color range.
  3. To begin with, it is important to determine the color - pinkish, yellowish, beige. And then the undertone - cold, warm, neutral, etc.

How do you determine your color?

Take a close look at your face in the mirror (it is better if you can still see the neck and décolleté)

Answer the question: which color is predominant on your face - pink, yellow, or are they balanced? In doing so, pay attention to the neck and the zone of transition of the lower jaw to the neck. Ideally, you shouldn't have much of a difference between your neck and your face. If it is still there (the face is darker or lighter than the neck, or there is a lot of inflammation, because of this, the skin looks redder than it is), then it is better to select a shade based on the color of the neck and décolleté - they should be the same color.

Try foundations in a wide range of colors at the store. Ask a consultant to apply a few of the intended shades on your face, then go outside and evaluate which one most merges with the complexion of the face and neck.

Let's look at a specific example: I have a yellowish neutral skin tone, the word ivory perfectly characterizes it. The so-called “cold” (according to the classification of most brands) pink looks like a mask on me, I become unnaturally white, my face looks painful. In the photo, Alverde Compact Makeup 010 has such a shade. Often neutral beige colors without a yellow undertone, as well as cold, but yellow colors, suit me. They do not look foreign on the face, but they require a little more shading, while I can apply the ideal color even only to certain areas and there will be no difference with the complexion. I know that most brands do not want to bother with an even larger palette of colors, so if a brand has neutral shades, then I look at them, if not, then warm. Most often neutrals turn out to be too pink, and warm - too reddish-yellowish.A good example is, it is too yellow and warm, besides being dark for me. But the lighter shade was already too pink.And only once I came across too cold yellow - it was the base.

Era Minerals in shade 134 has a neutral undertone, I don't know why in the photo it looks so dark (maybe because of a layer that is too dense), in real life it merges with my skin tone. Zao also matches my color, but has a clearly more yellowish tint than Era Minerals. Purobio oxidized and turned completely yellow, even olive, and of course, too dark for me.

Korean BB creams tend to have a neutral undertone, which is why they are often referred to as greyish. By the way, in English there is even a separate word for a too neutral grayish undertone - “ashy” (ashy, in this case it means grayish).

At first glance, everything seems very complicated, but with practice you will understand which tones suit you best and which ones should be chosen if the brand's color gamut is very small. It is much easier if you choose a mineral foundation: you can always order two colors, for example, neutral and more yellow, and dilute the foundation if necessary.

How would you define your color and skin tone? What difficulties have you faced in choosing the color of the foundation? Most often, the foundation is yellow, pink, or maybe gray?

The foundation of the cosmetic bag and half the success- this is the correct tonal basis. You can live beautifully without it, but it is difficult to imagine a technical and complex makeup without a tone that will allow colors to lie down as cleanly as possible, and shapes and textures not to conflict with each other. The days when foundations could not be recommended for regular use are far behind. The advantages of the new formulas are more and more: many of them have an additional caring effect, in the cold season, the coating is able to protect the skin from aggressive external influences, and a wide selection of textures allows you to choose the ideal invisible helper. Together with Gevorg, make-up artist and author of the Super make up blog Suka, we are trying to figure out how not to make a pocket-devastating mistake, what adjasters are and how to find your perfect color.

Shade and undertone

You can find all the basic rules on how to choose the right decorative tool in the obligatory set of any beauty blog: it is recommended to determine the skin tone by the color of the veins on the wrist or by applying a white sheet to the face. These tips are not universal, so even those with an even and stable complexion should take into account the nuances. In addition to genetics, many factors affect the condition, and therefore the color of the skin - if one day everything is taken into account, then it will be possible to get rid of the painful searches for a long time.

There is no single regulation in the description of skin color, so foundations are sold under a variety of magnificent names. You can hear up to a dozen subtone designations: golden, bluish, olive, reddish, greenish. Let's agree that five will be enough for our explanation: the subtone can be, as is clear from the popular assortment, yellow or pink, as well as olive or neutral (in such a skin there are several pigments in almost equal proportions). For dark skin, red is also distinguished. With the basic tone, things are much easier - the shades are ranked by saturation from light to dark, and not only professional brands have a large selection.

The yellow undertone is the most problem-free, especially today: suitable shades of varying degrees of intensity are easily found among Korean-made tonal means. These skin types usually do not require much color grading, and perfect coverage is easy to achieve with even the lightest of fluids. You can change the bases if in summer the skin tans easily, but it is possible that you can do with one suitable color, complementing it with a bronzer. Owners of a pink undertone are somewhat more difficult. Even on healthy and well-groomed skin, there may be areas where the vessels are naturally located closer to the surface - as a rule, this is the area of \ u200b \ u200bthe nose. In the cold season, redness, which may not be to everyone's liking, becomes a regular companion every time you go outside.

Owners of a pink undertone are often advised to choose a product with a yellow tint to compensate for it. Gevorg explains that this should only be done if you really do not like strong redness or want to hide rosacea: “If you have a pink undertone, then you need to relax and choose a tone of foundation that matches your skin color. And if you have problem skin, closely spaced vessels and a pronounced pink complexion, I would advise you to try light moisturizing textures like CC creams. Then, when choosing a color, you can put more emphasis on the yellow subtone. This simple trick will help create a visual sense of an even complexion. " It should be noted that special markings, again due to the lack of any consensus in the name of the funds, can be deceiving. A color labeled "beige" can have either a yellow or a pink tint, so clarifications are never superfluous.

Olive skin tone is less common and is defined as yellow with a greenish tint. It is because of him that even very light skin can seem darkish, so rich foundations with a yellow undertone are suitable for it. The rarest neutral shade can be friends with different bases, depending on the preferences of the owner - here, when choosing, it is important to ideally choose the color saturation. Specialty products are available for these tricky skin tones, and should be sought from professional brands like MAC, NARS and Make Up Forever.

Color customization

Clarifiers and dimmers (or adjusters) of tonal means, which were previously found in a cosmetic bag, not even in every makeup artist, recently it has become easy to buy for anyone. If the base suits you in every way except color, then customizing it right can work wonders. Gevorg reminds that, first of all, these products are a type of foundation that differs only in an extremely dark or light shade. So, if there is an available alternative, the bank can easily end up in the distant shelf over time.

The make-up artist explains what to consider when using such a product: “The lightener has its own texture, light (like, for example, MAC Face and Body white tone) or much denser (Manly Pro white adjuster). When you mix your foundation with a drop of adjuster, the texture also changes. Here's an example: if you take a light wet Chanel Vitalumière Aqua tone and lighten the shade with MAC Face and Body, the tone density remains the same low. And if you use a light BB cream and try to mix it with the white tone of Manly Pro, the overall consistency of the product will immediately become quite dense. "

There are also subtleties in handling color: the most popular mass product, The Body Shop adjuster, contains pink pigment, so if you don't have to “cool down” the tone at all, it may not work. It is possible that the solution to the problem already lies with you somewhere among the rubble of cosmetics. For example, Gevorg prefers to use Sephora very light moisturizing concealer as an adjuster. So, your favorite concealers in very light or very dark shades and comfortable textures can perfectly play the role of a customization tool - as a rule, among professional brighteners and darkeners, the choice according to this criterion is very meager.

Most products that are intended for daily use do not provide a dense coverage, which you should not expect from them. The base for make-up significantly helps the correct shrinkage of the color of the foundation. Among them there are tools designed for color correction - Givenchy Actimine, Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer and many others. With their help, you can easily give the skin the desired neutrality, and then apply the basic tone.

How to choose funds

Of course, the best option is obvious: you have to try everything on your face. The inner side of the hand in this sense is a poor helper. The skin color of this part of the body often differs from the skin color of the face, and it is quite difficult to adequately assess whether you have chosen the required coverage density. It is very important to test in natural light, but unfortunately it is a rare beast in our stores. A good solution is to consult a makeup artist who will help you decide not only on the color, but also on the composition suitable for your skin type and the general set of products that you need. Many people recommend choosing a tone so that there is no need to complete makeup with powder, which may not suit problem skin.

If a curse hangs over you and your favorite means are discontinued, then at your service is a fairly accurate Findation service, which looks for similar tonal foundations among all the goods it knows. The Temptalia blog is equipped with the same function - in addition, there you can choose a base according to the main characteristics: subtone and shade.

"Tell my light to the mirror, but tell the whole truth, am I the loveliest in the world, blush and whiter than all?" - how many real modern beauties would have heard an affirmative answer?

Immediately after waking up, without water procedures, a cup of invigorating coffee and applying makeup, only movie heroines glow with charm. In order for an ordinary young lady to get closer to the cherished ideal, it is necessary at least to "draw a face for herself."

The guarantee of a neat make-up is an even skin color created by foundation.

How to determine the skin tone of the face (color type)

The cosmetic industry of the last decade has presented a woman with a lot of all kinds of products to even out her complexion. These innovative tools fulfill many functions and meet the needs of even the most discerning girl.

However, the abundance of assortment does not help at all to solve the main problem: how to choose a foundation to match your skin color.

To solve this problem, it is necessary to deal with the color type, i.e. the tone of the skin of the face.

There are three main types of skin identified by professional makeup artists:

  • neutral;
  • cold;
  • warm.

Pure types are determined by the following criteria:

  1. Cold- the color of the veins on the wrist is bluish or purple; skin color in natural light with a bluish tint. The preferred metal for jewelry is silver;
  2. Warm- the color of the veins on the wrist is olive or khaki; skin color in natural light with a yellowish tinge. The preferred metal for jewelry is gold;
  3. Neutral- the color of the veins on the wrist is blue-green; skin color in natural light with a green tint in the sun. The preferred metal for jewelry is any.

In addition to the explicit types, there are mixed options.

When choosing a tonal means, the color type is not the only moment to rely on.

One of the secrets of choosing the right cream for leveling skin color is to clearly define another nuance.

Depending on the reaction to the sun, the epidermis is subdivided into red and yellow.

If the tan lays down easily and evenly, then the woman is the owner of the yellow skin class. For the red class, a sharp reaction to ultraviolet light is characteristic, expressed by redness and a copper tint of tan.

How to choose a foundation for your skin color: basic rules

The selection of the foundation should be given special attention. Alignment of complexion, masking of defects is the most important and responsible stage of make-up. If the tone is chosen correctly, the cream is applied skillfully, then minimal manipulations with the eyes and lips are often enough to create a beautiful image.

Otherwise, the girl is faced with the problem of "age makeup" when the face looks much older than real age, or with a "mask effect" when the foundation creates an inanimate, alien cover on the face.

To find out how to choose a foundation to match your color, you should initially determine your color type and skin type in general. And based on this, listen to the advice of makeup artists.
  1. With the skin belonging to the red type, such cream options as pink beige, apricot or copper are in harmony - those that are based on scarlet notes.
  2. For the owners of the yellow type, experts insist to choose from tonal creams such shades as light beige, gold, walnut, sand.
  3. For a trip to the store for a foundation, it is optimal to choose a clear sunny day so that you can evaluate the product under natural sunlight.
  4. Experts recommend, even if the room is very light, go outside and check the shade of the product again before buying.
  5. The foundation must be applied to well-cleansed skin, so you cannot pick up a toner without washing your face.
  6. Cosmetologists advise, on the eve of a responsible choice, to carry out a home exfoliation procedure, remove dead cells, apply a moisturizer, then the skin will be as prepared as possible for the selection of a foundation.
  7. Testing wrist cream is the most common mistake. The color of the skin on the face and hand is significantly different. The shade of the wrist serves only as a hint in determining the color type.
  8. The test product in the store should be applied to the cheek, only in this way can its suitability be assessed.
  9. Professional make-up artists practice the application of several colors of foundation in one make-up, for example, the main tone and shade are lighter in the eye area, and a darker product on the nose and along the face contour.

Note! To choose a foundation to match the color of problem skin, with significant defects on the face (acne, pimples, scars or red streaks), allows testing the product in the area behind the ear - there the skin most closely matches the complexion.

How to do this is already the second moment, it is better to resort to the help of a trusted friend.

There are no fashion trends and popular shades in the choice of foundation. it the tool is selected strictly based on external data, for each specific type of skin.

Palette of colors for fair skin

Light skin is often called porcelain for its noble pale shade, similar to the cheeks of sophisticated dolls.

How to choose a foundation for your skin color, the advice will help: study the names of the shades. The most suitable products are marked "light", "transparent".

Some soreness and dullness are characteristic of pale skin, therefore make-up artists recommend foundations with a subtle peach tint, then the skin of the face will be fresher and healthier.

The main secret of how to choose the right foundation suitable for a particular shade is testing three similar tones on the face and determining the one that will merge with the skin color.

When there is a difficulty, which of the two shades to give preference to, experts advise choosing the lighter one.

Wearers of pale skin often plan to give their face a tanning effect with a foundation - this is a serious mistake that leads to unnatural makeup. The tone should be as close to natural as possible. Other cosmetic products are used to obtain a tan.

Colors for gray, earthy skin

Industrial cities have not been distinguished by a favorable ecological situation for a long time. Smoke, smog, constant stress and a rare stay in the fresh air lead to the fact that even the most enviable beauties complain of an earthy complexion. Such skin looks gray, tired and aging.

With a careful selection of the cream, this problem is also solved. For a fresh face cosmetologists advise using tonal foundations with a pinkish brown tint.

Foundation tone if skin prone to redness

Due to the proximity of capillary vessels, even a healthy epidermis, without acne and acne, can have a reddish tint. Often a clear red tone of the skin stands out in the nasolabial region. A good foundation is able to even out this deficiency and provide a uniform, long-lasting beautiful make-up.

To mask skin prone to redness, tonal means are used that have a shade of light green. Cold shades are most acceptable.

And here pink color scheme is a clear exception from suitable tonal creams for this type of skin.

Foundation shades for dark skin

The most suitable colors for owners of dark skin are the nuances of chocolate or caramel.

In general, women with dark skin are naturally lucky and require a minimal amount of toner.

If the choice is from two similar shades, then in this case you should give preference to a darker cream.

How to choose a foundation for evening makeup

At a festive event, when entering a high society or a romantic dinner for two, a woman wants to look especially charming. To create an enchanting look, you will definitely need long-lasting, meticulous makeup.

There are a couple of nuances in choosing a tone for an evening event:

When a photo session is planned for an evening event and you want to look beautiful both live and in pictures, then it is extremely be careful to apply tonal foundations with reflective particles, which, when cameras flash, stand out on the face with white spots.

In general, if light tonal foundations are suitable for daytime makeup, then for an evening out, it is better to use thick creams, maximally leveling the surface of the face.

Beginner mistakes when choosing a foundation for skin color

Despite the numerous recommendations of experts, a lot of master classes from leading makeup artists, there are girls with obviously incorrectly performed makeup. At best, the foundation does not emphasize their beauty, but more often than not, it looks comical and even frightening.

In order not to be known as a beginner in the art of make-up, it is important to know how to choose a foundation to match your skin color in order to avoid mistakes.

Thus, you will save yourself in advance from sneering looks due to your silly and inappropriate makeup.

The list of common mistakes includes:

  • selection of tone, based only on the index given on the package;
  • using the tester on the wrist or back of the hand;
  • choosing a product in dim artificial lighting;
  • applying a shade of a toning base that is obviously darker than the main complexion, in the hope of getting a tanned image;
  • the use of a cream that is unsuitable in its composition and density to the type of epidermis (for young fresh skin, you should not use dense, heavy toning agents, while problematic faces require more careful adjustment);
  • the use of one product all year round (in different seasons, the color and condition of the skin, and the level of necessary protection from the sun and bad weather change);
  • focus exclusively on the price of the product (when choosing a foundation, the main characteristic is the coincidence of tones, and not the price category).

The hairstyle creates half of the look of any woman. But for sure, each of you is faced with the problem of choosing a suitable haircut, length and, of course, hair color. We offer you the recommendations of Italian stylists, which hair color is recommended for different women based on their natural characteristics of the face.

Every six months in the fashion world, trends change in determining what and what hair color is best for women. There are even eras when blondes, brunettes or redheads are more popular. And some women change their hair color every six months, simply depending on their mood.

However, first of all, the choice of hair color should not be based on fashion trends or mood, but on the color of your complexion.

If the hair color does not harmonize with the skin color, there is a risk of more painful, tired or even vulgar appearance.

You have an olive complexion

Olive color is typical for Mediterranean women (Italian).

Such women usually have a natural hair color of dark brown or dark blond and dark skin.

What hair color to choose:

The new hair color should be chosen so that it highlights the cool and vibrant colors of this type of woman's appearance.

  • The best option is not to dye your hair at all, but all shades from black to brown are also suitable.
  • For young girls, you can choose brighter shades such as black, for women after 40 years it is better to stay on a cold shade of chestnut in order to look younger and fresher. Black can visually age.
  • A common mistake for women of this type is excessive lightening of hair or, even worse, choosing warm shades such as caramel, red or highlights.

Golden skin

Golden skin is usually dark in color, however, unlike olive skin, it has a warm undertone. If you look at the veins in the arms and elbows, they have a greenish tint. In the sun, such skin tans quickly and acquires a beautiful golden hue.

What hair color to choose:

  • Black hair color is not recommended, because he turns off the face and makes the facial features "wood".
  • It is better, on the contrary, to combine a natural golden undertone with such colors as chestnut / light brown of medium saturation or a light blond shade, but with a warm undertone. You can also choose chocolate or caramel color.

Pink fair skin and dark hair

If you have light skin with a pinkish tint and your natural hair color is dark (medium or dark blond, chestnut), then you have an almost perfect natural contrast.

What color to dye your hair:
  • The best choice would be a natural shade of hair, as well as shades of light brown / chestnut cold tones. Highlights with white (cold tones like platinum) feathers work well.
  • All shades of red and copper, as well as shades with a caramel-golden color are contraindicated for you.

Amber skin

Such skin can be very light or medium light, but the undertone is always warm. Even in the case of a very light version, the face never looks very white.

Natural hair color usually ranges from dark golden blond to light blond or red hair.

What color to dye your hair:
  • You should not choose cold and bright shades of hair, because they will look disharmonious with the skin of the face.
  • If you are a naturally dark blonde with an amber complexion, honey and golden hair tones are best. Cold shades, highlights in platinum or platinum hair are not recommended.
  • If your hair is naturally light brown, you can lighten it or choose shades from gold to caramel.
  • Stay away from blacks and dark colors, which will visually weigh your face down.
  • If your hair is naturally red, then you can all choose shades of bronze or rusty / brick. It is not recommended to use for everyone who is naturally red, no other shades other than golden: light (repainted in a blonde) or dark (repainted in a brunette).

Natural blondes with fair skin with warm undertone

Typically, these girls have naturally blond hair and light skin with a golden tint.

What color to dye your hair:

  • It is worth leaving a light hair color as a base one, but you can vary the shades: honey blonde, golden blonde, caramel.
  • Different types of highlighting in a cold platinum shade and, in principle, platinum blond are not recommended. Also, chestnut, black and red hair colors are not suitable for very light skin.

Natural blondes with fair skin with a cold undertone

The second option for natural blondes: Nordic type, light natural hair with a cool tone, transparent and very delicate skin (veins on the arms look bluish).

What color to dye your hair:

  • For cold light skin tones, it is recommended to choose hair that is fairly light. This can be either highlighting strands or full coloring.
  • You should not choose very bright dark colors such as black or warm colors such as red and red.
  • It is also very important to find a color so that the face does not blend in with the hair and does not have a flat effect - look for options so that the face and hair are different from each other.

Probably, each of us at least once in our life has come across the fact that a new blouse (or, for example, lipstick) of one tone revives the face, making the eyes and skin glow, while others - almost the same, just a slightly different shade - give a tired look, make the look extinct and emphasize the wrinkles that have come from nowhere?

Here's the thing: the first color is perfect for your skin tone, emphasizing its shade, and the second simply does not match its undertones.

Why does this happen? Chances are you have a basic idea, but don't really understand the difference between shade and undertones? You are not alone here. When it comes to fashion and beauty, the expressions "cold shades" or "warm shades" can be safely called one of the key concepts. In fact, we constantly hear that in order to emphasize our attractiveness, it is necessary to determine which category we belong to. However, how to do this is not entirely clear.

First, you need to understand that your superficial skin tone is its main color or shade (ivory, light, medium, tanned, dark, etc.), but your skin tone is the color “under the skin”. Regardless of your skin color, its undertones can be:

  • Cold (pink, red, or bluish).
  • Warm (yellow, peach, golden).
  • Neutral (mixing cold and warm undertones).

Common misconception: It is believed that fair skin and warm undertones are incompatible concepts. In fact, many fair-skinned women have a warm undertone (Nicole Kidman is one of them!), And a cold undertone is often common among dark-skinned girls (supermodel Alec Veck's cold skin tone).

So how do you determine which category you are in? Read on!

Jewelry test

What do you think: jewelry made of gold or silver suits you better (the question is not what you like best, but what actually gives your skin a glow, with which jewelry it looks fresher and healthier). Usually, girls with a cold skin tone go with jewelry made of silver and platinum, and warm skin harmonizes better with gold.

Check the veins

Roll up your sleeves and look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If their color is closer to blue, it is most likely that your skin has a cold undertone. If the veins appear greenish, you are warm-skinned creatures. In fact, of course, veins cannot be green - they appear so because you look at them through yellowish skin (yellow + blue = green).

Neutral test

Think about which neutral colors accentuate your beauty. Does your skin, eyes, and overall face look better when paired with pure whites and blacks, or ivory, off-white and brown? If the first statement is true, then you most likely have a cold undertone, and in the second case, a warm undertone.

Eye and hair color

Your natural hair and eye color can help you determine your color type.

Usually, people with cold skin tones have blue, gray, or green eyes, and light, blond, or black hair has a bluish, silver, purple or ash tint.

And vice versa: warm-skinned women usually boast amber, brown or hazel eyes, and their hair has a golden, reddish, reddish, or yellowish tint (wheat blondes, owners of copper and chestnut manes and black ones with a reddish tint are of the warm type).

Trial by the sun

Does your skin turn golden brown when exposed to sunlight, or does it burn and turn pink immediately? In the first case, you are of the warm type, and the skin of cold shades usually burns (fair-skinned girls just burn in the sun, and not too light skin of cold shades first burns and then tans).

Find "your" celebrity

Famous owners of cold skin tone: January Jones, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Lucy Liu, Cara Delevingne, Cameron Diaz.

Celebrities with warm skin tones: Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson, Jennifer Anniston, Beyoncé.

Determine which colors suit you

Regardless of skin tone, certain colors are more suitable for each person.

Warm-skinned girls usually work in a variety of shades of yellow, orange, brown, yellow-green, ivory, and warm red.

Girls with a cool shade should pay attention to all shades of blue, green, pink, lilac, blue-green, purple and real blue-based red.
