From napkins

The size of the elements of the garland for the New Year 2019 and the degree of their "fluffiness" we choose at will, as well as the combination of colors.

Prepare:

paper napkins of different colors (you can also use two-layer serving napkins);
stapler;
a needle with a thick thread - the base of the garland.

DIY making:

We fold the napkins as they are, without unfolding, putting one on top of the other in the amount of two or three pieces and folding.

We fix each stack with a stapler in the middle.

With scissors we round the corners of the napkins, achieving a circle of the required diameter.

From fans

Prepare:

colored paper;
glue.

DIY making:

We fold each sheet of colored double-sided paper with an accordion, for which we sequentially fold it twice in half, and divide the remaining size into three equal parts and fold it twice more.

Then we straighten the sheet and along the formed creases, we collect the accordion in the usual way, carefully ironing the folds.

We fold the resulting accordion in half and glue the inner surfaces, achieving a fan.

We glue the fans, unfolding them, relative to each other, and also alternating colors according to the conceived plan. The garland is ready, if the fans are small, then it will be an excellent decoration for the Christmas tree, and if large, then it is quite suitable for decorating the New Year's interior.

Round fan garland

We make a fan, as described in the previous master class, then glue four such segments into one round fan.

Another way would be to create a round fan from cut and glued strips of colored paper.

From such round fans of various sizes and colors, you can make countless compositions for the 2019 New Year's garland.

ManufacturingGarlands by their hands:

Using a pencil, draw flag stencils, rectangular and triangular. On a rectangular stencil, cut out a small triangle from the bottom, typical of the flag.
We put stencils on the fabric, folded in half so that we get double flags.
Cut out New Year's motives from napkins, remove all layers and coat the edges of the flags with PVA glue diluted in half with water.
We put motifs on the halves of the fabric and coat the entire surface of the napkin with the same composition.
Then, the flags smeared with glue solution are dried with a hairdryer, and then, after complete drying, we iron the flags with an iron as heated as possible, without steam. Iron it through parchment paper.

We put all the flags on the prepared rope for the garland, connect the halves and sew them with bright threads with a wide basting stitch, which in our case will be decorative. Other decorative elements can be placed between the flags, for example, large beads.

Today we will show you how you can make a very delicate beautiful garland out of simple paper napkins. These flowers are very similar to poinsettia. Such a garland can be an excellent decoration for a room, beautiful photographs can be taken against its background, and it can even become a decor at a wedding. You will need:

many napkins (you can choose any color, to your taste)
scissors
felt-tip pen

We do

We take a napkin and fold it in a triangle three times.

On the resulting triangle, draw a semicircle with a felt-tip pen (as in photo # 3). Cut off along the contour.

You will get such parts of the flower as in photo # 4. Stagger them on top of each other.

Take these petals, squeeze in the center from below and twist. The base of the flower should form at the bottom (photo # 6).

Smooth the resulting flower so that it becomes neat. Repeat this for all the napkins you want to make poinsettias out of.
