For children, flowers from foamiran for cards. Flowers from foamiran: clear master classes, schemes and templates for beginners

Foamiran is an artificially obtained material that has found wide application in various fields of needlework. Due to its delicate and elastic structure, foamiran is often called plastic suede. Due to the large palette of colors and the possibility of tinting, this material can be used for decorating interior items, making jewelry or wedding accessories.

Today the main producers of foma are China, Turkey and Korea. Choose plastic suede according to its porosity and thickness, depending on the type of work being done. In this article, we decided to offer you several master classes on making flowers from foamiran with your own hands.

Hydrangea

Materials:

  • stamens for flowers;
  • foamiran in two shades;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • wire;
  • pastel.

1. Take foamiran of a suitable color for the future flower. Divide it into equal 2x2cm squares. This can be done with a ruler and a toothpick.

2. Cut the material into squares to be used to create the petals.
3. Divide each square into 4 parts and make cuts with scissors.
4. It turns out squares with petals. The core can be tinted with green pastels.
5. Now these petals need to be heated with an iron and applied to a mold with a leaf texture.

6. After heating with an iron, the petals can be tinted with pink pastels.
7. Insert a stamen into the center of each flower and collect beautiful inflorescences from 5-6 flowers.
8. Cut out the leaves from the green foamiran and make cuts on them.

9. We also heat the leaves and give them texture with the help of a shape.

The result is a beautiful twig of hydrangea, which can decorate the interior or be used instead of a boutonniere.

Foamiran peony

Materials:

  • pastel;
  • foamiran;
  • iron;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun.

1. Draw petal patterns on a piece of paper, and then transfer them to foamirana. You should get 6 types of petals. For one peony, you need to cut 10 petals in the first three patterns, 8 petals in the fourth pattern, 17 petals in the fifth and 7 petals in the sixth.

2. Tint the petals with pink or purple pastels. When toning, keep in mind that the further the petal is from the center of the flower, the darker it should be.

4. Take a piece of wire and bend the end of it with round nose pliers. On this wire, we will begin to glue the petals clockwise with an overlap.

The result is a neat peony that can be glued to a hoop or hair tie, as well as used for interior decoration. If you use Turkish fom, the petals will turn out to be even thinner and more realistic.

You can do absolutely anything yourself flower from foamiran... You can use real petals from a wilted flower as a template.

Useful video: Foamiran flower for beginners

The principle of making flowers is quite simple, you need to cut out parts from foamiran, then apply them to the heated surface of the iron and shape. Having practiced on simple models, in the future you will be able to create real masterpieces from plastic suede.

A peony made of plastic foamiran is a rather lush, beautiful bud that even a novice master can make.

To conduct an MC, we need the following types of materials:

  1. Porous foamiran. To make the craft as realistic as possible, purchase material no more than 1 mm thick. We need a dark green, dark pink and light pink canvas.
  2. Fixing tape, which can be light green or green.
  3. Water based acrylic paints. To make the artificial flower interesting and as realistic as possible, get a dark pink, marsh and yellow shade of paint.
  4. Bulky thick wire, which will bend well, with a diameter of 1-1.5 mm. You will need it to form the stem. For the leaves, you need a small piece of floristic or thin wire.
  5. A set of artistic brushes, as well as foam rubber, from which you need to make a small sponge (or sponge).
  6. Nail scissors and standard glue gun. You can use any manicure tool that can cut the foamiran with ease.
  7. A beautiful mother-of-pearl stone, a voluminous bead or a piece of foil, from which the core of the bud will be formed.

We also need a pattern that can be printed or drawn by hand. With its help, we will form the petals and components of our bud. When everything you need is on the table, you can start creating a peony step by step.

  1. We cut the component parts of the flower according to our pattern.
    - A - 10 light pink petals;
    - B - 10 petals of a light pink shade and 5 blanks of a dark pink color;
    - C - 10 parts of a light pink shade;
    - D - 5 dark pink petals;
    - E - 5 dark pink parts;
    - З - 3 leaves of a dark green shade;
    - M - 6 sheets of dark green color;
    - K and L - 5 dark green sepals;
    - F - a blank in the form of a sun with rays, from which we will form an interesting core with imitation of stamens.

    Cut out the pattern from the existing image, transfer it to the light pink foamiran and cut out the circle. After that, we cut the rays with sharp ends.

  2. We tint the leaves and petals

    With the help of acrylic paint, we make a light toning of the petals of our peony, trying to get the effect of an inhomogeneous color (either darker towards the edge of the petal, then darker towards the base). To do this, we need a small brush, with which we paint over all the petals. on both sides.

    The second stage is the creation of "reviving" leaves. For this, we also use the manual tinting technique. We paint over our leaves from foamiran only on one side with a darker green paint, and then draw central veins in the center of the trefoil, distributing the paint from the center to the edges of the workpiece.

  3. Shirring leaves and petals

    The initial stage will be the corrugation of the petals B. We fold the workpiece in small folds according to the "accordion" principle.

  4. Assembling a flower

    We are preparing the base on which many peony petals will be fixed. To do this, we form a dense ball from the foil, the diameter of which should not exceed 1.5 cm. If you decide to use a bead, then make sure that it has a wide enough hole. In a ball of foil we pierce a hole into which we pour glue and immediately pass the prepared wire into the hole.

    We string the workpiece G onto the wire and tie all the upper parts with a thread, placing them above the bead.

    We dip the tips of the stamens into yellow acrylic paint, and then attach 10 petals A to them, using a gun with glue for this.

    We fix the petals B, folded like an accordion at the base, so that we get small folds. In this way, we fix 10 light pink and 5 dark pink petals.

    Next, we glue 5 petals C, and behind them - in a checkerboard pattern, another 5 of the same blanks.

    The pre-final stage will be gluing five petals D in a checkerboard pattern with respect to the previous ones.

    And the creation of the final row of the 5 largest petals E.

    We fix the sepals and begin to collect the leaves as shown in the photo.

    We decorate the hairpin with a lush poppy

    Red foamiran poppy is a great way to decorate any hair accessory or to diversify a flower bouquet made of wild plants.

    To create it, we need:

    • dense foamiran of black, green and red shades;
    • acrylic paint (red and white);
    • bright pastel and tinting sponge;
    • simple threads, a piece of foil, an iron and curly scissors;
    • automatic hair clip without decorations;
    • glue, a manicure stick or wooden toothpick, and phlox powder.

    When all the materials are ready, you can start the master class. To do this, follow the instructions below.

    We draw by hand 8-16 paper templates. We need 4 small blanks - 5.5 * 4.5 cm, as well as 4 large ones - 7.5 * 5.5 cm.

    Cut out a strip of black foamiran and process one side to create a fringe.

    We make the base from a ball of foil, the diameter of the workpiece is approximately 1.7-2 cm.

    We tint our petals on one side using a sponge.

    Smooth sharp corners with curly scissors.

    Lightly touching our petal with a sponge, apply white paint from one side to the lower part of the petal.

    Cut out a circle from the green foamiran, put a foil ball in the middle and begin to form a poppy head. We tie the ball with thread as shown in the photo.

    Cut off the excess thread. Turn the tips over (turn out) and glue. You can slightly tint the core, first with red and then with white paint.

    We start assembling the flower by gluing the fringe.

    We form poppy petals by heating the material on an iron in the "silk-wool" mode. We fold the warm blanks with an accordion, twist and pull out the middle a little. We do this with all the petals.

    We paint the fringe a little white. We begin to glue the petals overlapping, forming rows. First, 4 petals in one row.

    Then we glue the large petals below the first row by about 1-2 mm, also slightly overlapping.

    Cut out the leaves and apply texture to them, toning with paint and shading it with a sponge on both sides.

    We glue the leaves, sprinkling them with phlox powder.

    The flower is ready. Now we just need to glue it to the automatic hair clip, using a hole punch or glue for this. You can do your hair!

Foamiran (FoamIran) is a soft sheet material in a palette of 20 or 24 colors (depending on the manufacturer), used in various types of needlework. The average sheet thickness is 1 mm. Foamiran is mainly of Chinese and Iranian production. Iranian is considered to be of higher quality, because It was in Iran that the technique of making flowers from this amazing material originated. Foamiran can be painted and tinted with paints, patinas, powders.
Foamiran is easy to shape by using gentle heat (for example, applying to an iron or curling iron), twisting, stretching, processing with modeling tools, etc. After deformation, foamiran retains its shape persistently. That is why it is widely used for making topiary, flowers, ornaments (brooches, hairpins, rubber bands, headbands), dolls, decorative elements for scrapbooking. Also, products made from foamiran are used to decorate various premises (apartments, wedding and banquet halls, etc.). Flower brooches made of plastic suede do not wrinkle under outerwear, and this is a very valuable quality. Foamiran is an innovative material with endless potential for creativity, it is soft and silky to the touch. Its main feature is the ability to slightly stretch (up to 10%). This stretching is enough for the material to take on and "remember" a new shape. This material is especially well formed when exposed to the heat of human hands (it does not get dirty or sticky). Feel free to squeeze and twist the plastic suede by stretching it slightly. The material will easily take on a new shape. However, excessive tension will rupture the foamiran. The elasticity and relative strength of the material are due to the fact that the composition of foamiran includes ethylene and vinyl acetate. Plastic suede with a sheet thickness of about 1 mm is easily cut with scissors and cut with curly punching machines, as well as special machines for punching. For working with plastic suede, only specialized types of glue are suitable with a strong hold or glue gun. Foamiran has a slightly pronounced porous structure, but at the same time has a low water absorption. Washable, resistant to weathering and chemicals, non-toxic and harmless to the environment. Currently, the material is being certified for its use in children's creativity. You can also find it under the names: "Fom Eva", "Foamiran", "Foam" or "Foam".

How to choose foamiran?

Most often, foamiran is found in Iranian or Chinese production. Foam EVA softer to the touch, thinner, with an uneven surface from 0.7 to 1.2 mm. The palette contains 22 natural colors. Ideal for creating lifelike colors, Chinese foams are much denser and rougher, with an even surface. Colors in a palette of 25 different shades. It is used in scrapbooking, to create dolls, jewelry and accessories.

Do-it-yourself flowers from foamiran are an exclusive decor element that emphasizes the basic concept of style in the interior. They seem to come to life at any angle of changing lighting, allowing you to create a realistic bouquet that will never fade.

Foamiran is an innovative material that is commonly called plastic suede. It is a rubber sheet with a porous texture, which bends easily and retains its shape for a long time. With its help, it is quite easy to form a corrugated petal, a graceful stamen or a spiked stem, which combine into a charming flower that can be used to decorate a photo frame, hair tie, hairpin and even clothes. Today we will consider the most original master classes in which the technique of creating flowers from porous foamiran is described in detail.

Read and watch in our first article. There you will find many ideas and workshops.

Terry peonies

    - A - 10 light pink petals;
    - B - 10 petals of a light pink shade and 5 blanks of a dark pink color;
    - C - 10 parts of a light pink shade;
    - D - 5 dark pink petals;
    - E - 5 dark pink parts;
    - З - 3 leaves of a dark green shade;
    - M - 6 sheets of dark green color;
    - K and L - 5 dark green sepals;

    We twist both tips of the petal in different directions, after which we carefully roll the folded piece of the pattern between the fingers.

    To get the desired result, we process the upper part of the petal in the same way, but scroll more carefully. This is necessary in order for the foamiran to become thinner and stretch out in this place. Now the petal can be expanded.

    We corrugate the petals A in the same way as the previous workpiece.

    Petals D are more concave, resembling a "boat". To get a depression, we grab the tip of the petal with our left hand, and with the thumb of our right hand we form a depression, gently stretching the foamiran. After that, stretch the petal across.

    We work in the same way with the petals E.

    Next, we corrugate the upper part of the petal C according to the principle of working with workpiece B.

    We crimp the leaves. To do this, you need to fold the sheet in half, focusing on the line of veins. Gently stretch the edges of the workpiece at the top, and the middle at the bottom.

    Now we need to simulate the side veins. Gently begin to fold the material in small folds at an acute angle, stretch the foamiran a little and roll it with your thumb, middle and forefinger.

    Twist the tips of the leaves.

Our peony is ready. Such a product can be used to decorate a hairpin, hoop or refresh the interior.

Bulky orchid

A white foamiran orchid is created quickly enough, even if you are a beginner. To do this, you just need to study our lesson and follow the instructions step by step.

To create an unusual flower, we need:

  • White foamiran, 1 mm thick.
  • Steel wire 24-26 sizes, regardless of color.
  • Light and dark green cotton swabs and tape.
  • Dry pastels, fuchsia acrylic paint and crayons.
  • Thin brushes (best buy # 0 or 1).
  • Tweezers, manicure and stationery scissors.
  • Universal glitter glue, iron and orchid texture (Coerulea or Phalaenopsis 2 parts).
Now you can start making Phalaenopsis blooming buds, which will occur in five stages.
  1. Creating templates

    We transfer to cardboard a pattern for orchid flowers of two sizes - S and M. For one branch we need 2-3 small and 3-4 large blanks for buds, which are shown in the photo.

  2. Work on cutting blanks from foamiran

    We take the template and transfer the figured drawing to the foamiran. We need one blank each to create a flower: template number 1 (orchid lip), 2 (side petals or petals), 3 (sepals - sepals).

    Template No. 5 - "armchair", it is the protruding part of the lip. We cut this part by hand ourselves. We need to make a 6 × 6 mm square, along the edges of which we cut cloves on two opposite sides, as shown here.

  3. Phalaenopsis lip tinting

    Using dry crayons and a porous applicator (sponge), paint the blanks in lilac and bright yellow, as shown in the image.

    We tint the "chair" of our flower, which will be located in the center. To do this, we use a two-sided painting method, applying a lilac color.

    Using a thin brush and paint, create specks-strokes that are characteristic of the orchid. The picture shows the sequence in which to apply them.

    As a result, you should get this kind of front and back side of the lip.

  4. Modeling the shape of the blanks

    We warm up the prepared iron in the “wool” thermostat position. We apply the blanks of the buds to the outer surface of the iron, wait until the material heats up and will lag behind the surface itself. After that, it will take the desired shape.

    Getting started with template # 2. We lightly hold one part of the petal in our hands, and apply the other to the heated surface of the iron. While the material has not cooled down, apply a small foamiran to the mold and press it as tightly as possible to the plastic texture with your fingers. We repeat the same procedure with the second part of the petal.

    As a result, you should get voluminous petals with veins characteristic of Phalaenopsis.

    We revive our petals using the end pulling technology.

    Form the corresponding indentation with your fingertips to get these petals.

    Let's start working with sepals, using the technique of working with pattern # 2.

    As a result, you should get the details shown in the photo.

    Shape the lip by applying the front side to the iron. The material should heat up and take the shape that we need. While the foamiran is still warm, create a groove by pinching the fold.

    We glue the "chair" to the core in the place indicated by the orange circle on the first template.

    We tint the teeth, using a yellow tint a little brighter than the "armchair".

  5. Assembling a flower

    We form a column by applying glue to cotton wool. We distribute the glue over the cotton wool. If you want a velvety surface, then while the glue is not frozen, dip the stick in starch.

    When the glue has dried a little, cut off the head of the cotton swab, about 7-8 mm. We take the wire and form a small loop at one end, which we coat with glue and pass the cotton swab head inside. We fix it.

    We glue the lip of the orchid, side petals and sepals to the head.

Our orchid is ready. With this decoration, any wedding hairstyle or hair tie will become as elegant as possible. And if you "plant" a flower in a beautiful pot, then no one will distinguish it from the real one.

Another option for creating an orchid:

We decorate the hairpin with a lush poppy

Red foamiran poppy is a great way to decorate any hair accessory or to diversify a flower bouquet made of wild plants.

To create it, we need:

  • dense foamiran of black, green and red shades;
  • acrylic paint (red and white);
  • bright pastel and tinting sponge;
  • simple threads, a piece of foil, an iron and curly scissors;
  • automatic hair clip without decorations;

Bouquet of unfading tulips

If you want to make a realistic tulip with closed buds, then a visual scheme will help you with this. You can use any shade of material you like. Such a bouquet will become an exclusive gift for Mother's Day or March 8, and will delight its owner for a long time.

To create a tulip, we need:

  • dense foamiran of bright colors for buds and olive shade (to create leaves and stem);
  • floristic wire and buds;
  • nail scissors (straight or pointed);
  • glue and tape tape of any green shade;
  • alcohol-free wet wipes;
  • dry pastel (crayons can be used);
  • thick cardboard for patterns (whatman paper is suitable);
  • a wooden toothpick or nail stick; and tweezers.
When all the materials are laid out on the table, you can start creating our tulips.

Initially, we cut out the templates from which we will make the petals. In our case, the height of the blanks is 6 cm, and the width of the largest part is 3.5 cm. The length of the arbitrary template for the leaves is 26 cm, the width is the same as that of the petals.

Using a toothpick or a manicure stick, we circle the templates on the foamiran, after which we cut out the details. We need 1-2 leaves and 6 petals for one flower.

We tint the workpieces using dry pastels. To achieve the desired effect, blend the paint with a damp cloth, simulating gradient transitions.

We tint the bottom of each petal so that it is slightly darker than the top. You should get it as shown in the photo.

You can paint green leaves in the same way. Floral veins can be added if desired.

Now we are modeling the shape of the petals. To do this, we apply our workpieces to the outer surface of the iron heated in the "wool-silk" mode. Initially, we slightly stretch the workpiece in width, and then in length. Gently form a small depression with your fingers, while sipping on the petal. Look at the picture. So it should turn out in the end.

Now we will simulate a fold on the leaves. We attach the leaf to the iron and fold it along. It should look like this.

We begin to collect the buds. To do this, we glue the floristic blanks or foil balls petals. We fix the first three on the core so that it is not visible.

We place the next three petals in a checkerboard pattern to the previous ones and also glue them.

We return to the leaves. Gently glue a piece of floral wire into its middle so that it becomes as flexible as possible.

We collect the flower. To do this, we wrap the body of the stem with green tape, while fixing the leaves. Our tulip is ready. Likewise, you can make a whole bouquet by decorating it with additional leaves.

3 helpful tips for beginners:

- which foam is better?

before starting work and making your first flower yourself , it is important to choose the right material. Foamiran is sold either in the form of sheets or in rolls and may have different names on the packaging - foam, fom, eva, plastic suede. But there is an option, the packaging of which says foams - this is porous rubber for children's creativity and beautiful flower it is very difficult to make it out of it.

There are Iranian and Chinese versions of foam. Experienced craftswomen use both options in their work with equal success. But we advise beginners to use Iranian foam in their work, from which it is easier to make petals of the desired shape.

- how to give the desired shape to the petal?

This material is very flexible. It is enough to wrinkle the foam with warm palms and you can fold, twist, bend it, changing its shape.

Many needlewomen use heat treatment with an iron when working with foamiran. You can heat the iron (at the minimum value) and stick the blanks cut according to the template to the warm sole. After a few minutes, they will disappear, after which you can make any petal shape ... If you don't like the shape, you can always change it by reattaching the workpiece to the iron soleplate and starting all over again.

- how to make a workpiece from foamiran thinner?

To make our decorative flower graceful, with thin "airy" petals, it is advisable to use a thin sheet of foam in the work. But what if you only have thick roll material on hand? There is a way out!
First, we cut out a blank in the shape of a petal, and then we begin to crumple and rub it diligently in our palms, releasing air from the bubbles of the material as much as possible. Then we apply the workpiece to the sole of the iron and, after heating, stretch it slightly with our fingers.

2. HOW TO MAKE A FLOWER FROM FOAMIRAN

There are many ways to make plastic suede crafts.

Consider the classic stages of creating a flower from this material:

Cut off several strips 3 cm wide from the sheet (or roll) of foamiran. Cut 3 by 3 cm squares. Using a template (made of cardboard), cut a flower petal from each square. The number of petals depends on the type and size of the flower. ... To make the color of the petals look realistic, you need to tint them a little around the edges and at the base with pastel crayons or paint.

Now we need to give the blanks a realistic petal shape. To do this, we mash each one in warm palms, stretch it out, form bulges with our fingers (you can use special boules for florists and a heated iron sole for this).

When all the petals are formed, we begin to collect them into a flower bud ... A common option is to make a loop at the end of a thin wire, apply a little glue from a glue gun and wrap a petal around the loop. After that, we glue each subsequent petal in a circle at the same level in height

Now let's start making sepals to make the flower look more realistic. Draw the contours of the sepal with a toothpick on a sheet of green Thomas using the template and cut it out. With nail scissors we make small notches along the edges of the workpiece.

Making flower leaves. According to the template, we cut out blanks of leaves from a green foam leaf. Now we will apply a drawing and relief on each leaf using molds (forms, relief blanks and special castings). It remains to give the leaves of the flower a natural look, changing their shape by heat treatment.

For work, we will prepare the following tools and materials: sheets of foam green and purple, iron, nail scissors, glue gun.

Stages of work

cut a rectangle 8 cm wide from a sheet of Foma and fold horizontally in half. Glue with a glue gun

from the side of the fold, cut the workpiece with scissors at regular intervals. The workpiece will take the form of a comb. We fold it several times and fix the shape with a glue gun.

now we make flower leaves, drawing a contour according to a template on a green foamiran sheet. We apply streaks (you can use a toothpick) and sculpt to the sole of the iron. After heat treatment, give the leaves the desired shape.

it remains to glue a circle (base) from the foam to the inner side of the elastic for hair and glue the bud and leaves to the base from the outer side of the accessory.
