Almost every day we are faced with the need to wash our hair with shampoo. However, few people know what harm unnatural shampoo can cause to already weakened curls. After all, convincing advertising and a beautiful jar do not always indicate the high quality, effectiveness and naturalness of the product.

Therefore, more and more women are choosing home hair shampoo, which is so easy to prepare at home. There are a huge number of homemade shampoos based on natural and affordable ingredients. Some of them are suitable for dry and weakened hair, and some solve the problem of excessive greasy hair. Consider the simplest, most effective and natural homemade shampoos that are right for your curls.

The harm of regular hair shampoo

The most harmful ingredient found in almost all cosmetic shampoos is sodium louryl sulfate. This component destroys the structure of hair and skin. Therefore, its use leads to dry strands, cut ends and other negative consequences. However, due to the fact that this component is the cheapest base for shampoo, most manufacturers continue to use it.

In addition, the harmful substances of the shampoo enter the environment, polluting natural resources. Not to mention the fact that the human body is already constantly exposed to the influence of chemicals, therefore, if it is in our power to use natural remedies to cleanse curls, then why not arm ourselves with natural recipes.

The benefits of homemade hair shampoo

Environmental friendliness. Natural shampoo is environmentally friendly and safe cosmetics.

Availability. Making homemade shampoo is quite simple, and available and inexpensive components are used for this.

Versatility. There are many recipes for natural shampoos, so you can find the one that works best for your curl type and condition.

Ease of preparation. Natural shampoos don't last long, but they take minutes to prepare, so you can easily prepare a new batch just before washing your hair.

Contraindications

DIY shampoo at home is completely safe and environmentally friendly. However, there may be an individual intolerance to certain components. Therefore, apply to a small area of skin before using it.

Making and using homemade shampoo

The easiest way to make a natural shampoo is to use a shampoo base available from your pharmacy. It does not contain fragrances and dyes that can harm the curl and cause allergic reactions.

You can add to the shampoo base:

  • any infusions and decoctions of herbs;
  • aloe juice;
  • other natural ingredients.

If you do not want to use a shampoo base that still contains chemical components, you can use olive or glycerin soap as a base, as well as soap grass root. This shampoo will be more natural, safe and effective. Shampoo prepared on the basis of these ingredients can be stored in the refrigerator for a week.

Use homemade shampoo as you would regular... After using the shampoo, it is recommended to rinse the curls with warm water and a little freshly squeezed lemon juice or fruit vinegar. This is because shampoo is alkaline, which is acidic in the normal environment for hair. Using an acidic rinse traps the hair scales for shine, strength and a healthy appearance.

Until a few centuries ago, the most popular hair cleanser was a mixture of water and rye bread. You can prepare such a shampoo now. To do this, it is enough to steam the bread for several hours. Additionally, you can add bran to the shampoo. For high-quality hair cleansing, it is recommended to apply the resulting gruel for 10-15 minutes, massage the scalp and rinse. The only drawback of this recipe is the crumbs, which are difficult to wash, especially from long hair.

Another option for natural shampoo is the use of mixtures based on fermented milk products. Such shampoos protect the curls only from drying out and the negative effects of the environment. It is recommended to use a vinegar or sour juice rinse after this shampoo. Next, let's take a look at the best DIY natural hair shampoos recipes.

Recently, it has become increasingly difficult to find that shampoo in the store that would not harm the curls. Almost all manufacturers add many harmful preservatives and sulfates to their products, which gradually weaken not only hair, but also skin and roots. Therefore, in order to avoid such problems, more and more girls are beginning to think about how to make shampoo with their own hands. In reality, making a healthy mixture at home is not difficult, and there are many recipes for this, which we will discuss below.

Shampoo base

It is known that in the past, when there were no shampoos, women used certain products and herbs to wash their hair. But since these natural remedies do not foam, the procedure becomes boring and even time consuming. For this reason, not everyone is ready to use these shampoo products. But progress does not stand still, and today, in order to prepare a high-quality shampoo at home, you can purchase a soap base, to which natural substances are added. This essential ingredient can be found in specialty stores or pharmacies. Alternatively, you can purchase a simple shampoo that will not contain all kinds of additives, dyes, fragrances and other "useful" ingredients. This is very important because any preservative is harmful. Once you find the right base, you can enrich it with the essential herbs, vitamins, flavors and other ingredients you want.

Cooking principle

How to make homemade shampoos? Everything is extremely simple. Really useful components are added to the soap base: herbs, vitamins and essential oils. But it is not recommended to mix them at once with the whole base. You need to take a clean bottle and fill it with a little soap component so that it is only enough for two times. Our medicinal preparations are added to this container in turn. Capping the bottle with a lid, shake it thoroughly. After a day, you can wash your hair with a useful composition. It is important to take into account that a shampoo prepared with your own hands cannot be stored for a long time, otherwise all substances will lose their properties.

Varieties of shampoos

It is known that a care product is selected depending on the structure and characteristics of the hair. Each person has their own skin type, which requires individual care. There are shampoos for dry, normal and oily hair. There are also remedies for fragility, for shine, for health, for growth, for dandruff and for hair loss. It is interesting that any girl has the opportunity to prepare shampoo at home, which will perform the necessary functions. And also - and this is the most important thing - while you use your own products, your curls will have a rest from chemicals, will become strong, healthy and beautiful.

The Role of Vitamin Supplements

Usually, vitamins are added to shampoo for a specific purpose - to make hair strong and get rid of brittleness. But not everyone knows what role this or that component plays.

Vitamin A (or retinol) tends to activate and accelerate metabolic processes, so it is added to provide nutrition to the hair.

Vitamin C is indispensable in the fight against fragility. This ingredient makes your hair stronger and more elastic.

Vitamins of group B normalize the sebaceous glands, and also reduce the manifestation of allergies, which is very important for sensitive skin.

Vitamin E is also important because it inhibits cell aging. But dandruff, various diseases and damage to the scalp, hormonal imbalance - all this can cause hair loss.

By the way, note that shampoo can be mixed with one vitamin component or several at once.

The role of plant components

In homemade shampoos, you can add not only vitamins, but also other products that also perform this or that function.

To accelerate hair growth, have long resorted to the help of burdock root and nettle.

If there is inflammation or irritation, chamomile and string are used.

Juniper and rosemary help to solve the problem of dandruff.

Very little broth needs to be added to the base, so it is prepared highly concentrated. In addition to herbs, essential oils are added to hair shampoo. They have different effects on the strands, so their properties must be taken into account.

If the hair is dry, add rosewood, sandalwood, mandarin, chamomile, lavender, myrrh, and jasmine oil.

For oily hair, use clove, almond, tea tree, lemon, mint, lemon balm, cedar, geranium or grape seed oil.

When falling out, cypress, ylang-ylang, tea tree, pine, incense are suitable.
