Tinted hair foam Igora. Tinted hair foam. Variations with blonde

Every woman feels the desire to meet modern standards, while fashion itself is very changeable. Today blondes are “in trend”, tomorrow – natural brown-haired women, and in a week pink or lilac shades will dominate.

Constantly repainting your hair because of new trends is not a solution to the problem, since you can be left with no hair at all. Tinted hair foam is considered an alternative to chemical dyeing; with its help, you can safely change your look and experiment with style.

Benefits of washable paint

The condition of curls and their health are influenced by external and internal factors: stress, overwork, irregular diet and nutrition, acute and chronic pathologies. And while it can be quite difficult to protect yourself from internal influences, you can get rid of external influences. For example, instead of evening out your hair tone with dye, you should pay attention to a tint mousse or foam.

Experts include the following advantages of this coloring:

  • a unique opportunity to completely change the color and appearance of your curls in a couple of weeks, without resorting to a complex dyeing procedure;
  • the presence in the product of a rich set of nutrients and vitamins that nourish the bulbs;
  • high-quality procedure at home, with minimal time investment;
  • choosing a unique and inimitable shade from a rich palette.

The product itself not only does not harm the hair shafts, but significantly refreshes the color, brightness and shine of both dyed and natural curls.

When choosing a tint foam for colored hair, it is advisable to use a product of the same brand as the dye that was applied. In this case, manufacturers guarantee the maximum effect of tinting.

Product selection rules

When choosing a foam for coloring and its shade, you should remember a number of rules that are recommended by cosmetologists and hairdressers.

  1. When purchasing a product, be sure to pay attention to the release date and expiration date of the product. In addition, it is recommended to check the numbers on the box with the numbers on the tube or bottle. Expired or unsuitable foam can cause allergies or ultimately produce an undesirable shade.
  2. For hairstyles with short hair, purchase one package of color, and for long curls, stock up on two at once.
  3. Do not acquire a shade that is more than 2-3 tones different from the original hair color. Otherwise, the desired result will not be achieved.

The tone that can be obtained after exposure to the product is indicated on the box with the product or on the bottle. To avoid mistakes, you should take a close look at your own color before going to the salon.

Composition and purpose

As part of the tint, in addition to the coloring pigment, the manufacturer has provided protective and supportive components for the health of curls:

  • silk proteins, which normalize the structure of the hair shafts along the entire length, and give smoothness and fluffy appearance to the hair;
  • panthenol, which has a beneficial effect on the bulbs. Most manufacturers use it as an ingredient;
  • Alanolin, it nourishes and moisturizes the hair;
  • ultraviolet filters that protect hair from the harmful effects of direct sunlight.

As additional ingredients, there are components that help protect against thermal effects: with a hairdryer, styling tongs or straightening iron.

The direct purpose of washable paints is to change the tinted palette of the main color. In addition, foams that color curls have several other purposes:

  • adding richness and variety to the color scheme;
  • evens out the tone of unevenly colored hair;
  • restoration of natural appearance.

The popularity of the product is due to its availability and ease of use. As a rule, tinting is carried out at home. Getting a beautiful color tone yourself is not difficult. But you must follow the rules:

  1. Hands are protected with special gloves, which are usually included in the kit, and the neck and shoulders are covered with a special cape or simply cotton cloth.
  2. Cleanly washed curls (without applying conditioner) are carefully covered with mousse using even, massaging movements.
  3. Leave without insulation until the time specified in the instructions has expired.

Dyed curls after the procedure look natural and natural. Maintaining their healthy appearance is not difficult, but you should familiarize yourself with the recommendations of stylists and strictly follow them.

  1. For several days after tinting, do not apply balms or conditioners to your hair. They soften and remove pigment.
  2. It is recommended to wash your hair less often than before coloring. On average, the tone is washed out in 5-7 thorough treatments with shampoo and water.
  3. For shine and smoothness of curls, use professional care sprays.

The last time I dyed my hair was Garnier Color Sensation in shade 7.12 Pearl Ash Blonde. Of course, I didn’t become blonde, but I really liked the “ash” that this dye gave. Looked like a cool medium brown on me.
Unfortunately, the “cold” disappeared extremely quickly: within a full two weeks. And my hair was left with slightly yellowed and reddish undertones. I didn’t want to put on makeup again after such a short period of time. Because this is not the healthiest procedure for hair. And then I remembered about toning products!

I walked around several stores and came across the IGORA Expert Mousse tinting mousse in Podruzhka from the professional brand Schwarzkopf Professional. It cost 399 rubles. for 100 ml. before the discount (if my memory serves me correctly).

Just a regular bottle, no box or anything else. At home I already figured out that there was a whole book hidden on the cylinder with instructions for use in many, many languages. There is one in Russian too.

It didn’t take me long to choose from 13 shades in the swatch book: 8-1 light brown sandre or light blonde cendre (look for another review of shade 7-0) seemed to me the most adequate in terms of shade intensity and coldness.

Before my story goes too far, let's give the floor to Schwarzkopf Professional :)

Product advantages:

  • Conditions and gives a mirror shine
  • Resistant: up to 8 washes
  • Gray coverage up to 20%
  • Maintains hair color
  • Multifunctional
  • Convenient application without a brush
  • All shades are mixed with each other
  • Easy to dose

The process is extremely simple. First you need to wash your head and hair with shampoo, then wrap your hair in a towel and wait a little until the excess moisture leaves. Remove the towel and gently comb through damp hair.

Shake the bottle, squeeze the mousse into your palm and distribute evenly throughout your hair, strand by strand. Personally, I started from the ends, because they are the yellowest, gradually moving to the roots. It is advisable to spread this whole thing with a comb so that the dye goes on more evenly.

By the way, I spent a long time trying to figure out whether it was necessary to wear protective gloves. There is not a word about this on the packaging, and they didn’t include the gloves themselves. There is also no indication in this regard on the official website of Schwarzkopf Professional. In my head I understand that most likely I need gloves, it’s a dye after all. But suddenly it’s possible! It’s good that I finally went online and found somewhere that the whole procedure needs to be carried out with gloves. And then I could start experimenting...

I had to open a new pack of paint and take out a pair of gloves. The mousse itself is wonderful: it is tight, rich, and not sticky at all (no parallels with styling mousses and foams). Distributes well: a light powdery effect remains on the hair. The main advantage is that this mousse does not flow, does not fall off the strands or roll off your hands. If it gets on the skin, it can be washed off very easily later in the shower. This does not mean that you need to work clumsily, accuracy will not hurt :)

Now about the exposure time. If you want to slightly refresh the color and condition your hair, Schwarzkopf Professional recommends leaving the mousse on for no more than 3-5 minutes. Intensive coloring and care will take 15-20 minutes.

What does it mean? Firstly, you need to work with the mousse very quickly (part of its consistency allows this). It absorbs almost instantly, sometimes I had to do 2-3 pumps on one strand to make sure the coverage was even. Therefore, it won’t hurt if you separate your hair into medium-thick strands in advance using bobby pins (I used 6 of them). It will come out faster this way, and the holding time for all strands will be approximately the same.

Secondly, bleached blondes need to carefully monitor the result and not exceed the exposure time. Otherwise, the shade may turn out too cold, even greenish. If this happens, don't panic. Mousse is not a permanent paint, it will wash off quickly :)

I was prepared to hold it for no more than 5 minutes, because... I just need light toning. After this time, I did not see any results and continued to keep the mousse on my hair. I even overexposed it - the total time was 25 minutes! But I still didn’t see a pronounced result... In general, deciding that this shade simply didn’t work on my hair, I washed it all off.

By the way, you need to rinse off without shampoo, under warm water (not hot!), preferably at room temperature, until the water becomes clear. After the procedure, you can moisturize your hair with conditioner or make a hair mask.

In short, I was prepared to be completely upset because of the disappointment that befell me. I dried my hair with a hairdryer, styled it and... I saw it! Of course, not quite what I expected. But the “cold” has returned to my strands! Here is the BEFORE (left) and AFTER (right):

Another thing is that the mousse did not work equally along the entire length. On the regrown roots it gave me the grayness I needed, here is BEFORE (left) and AFTER (right):

On the once lightened ends - too. Some time ago I bleached my hair to jump from “chestnut” to light brown hair. These highlighted strands have grown by about a quarter. So, the “cold” showed up well on them too, the yellowness was almost completely gone.

But at the length between the regrown roots and the lightened ends, the effect of the mousse is almost imperceptible. I caught this contrast in this photo (in life it is not so noticeable, only in certain lighting).

In a word, the result was unexpected, but in the end I practically achieved what I was aiming for - removing yellowness.

Shade 8-1 is suitable for light brown and blond people who have not yet dyed their hair with permanent dye (even on my natural dark brown roots the shade showed up). Bleached blondes will also benefit if they start to turn yellow and they absolutely don’t like it. Those who dye their hair medium brown shades (and darker) should not waste time and money on this shade, it is too light and simply won’t work.

What I really liked was the softness and shine after applying the mousse. The color has noticeably refreshed, my favorite “ash” has returned. This softness cannot even be compared with permanent dyes (after dyeing with regular dye, I use the most thermonuclear mask to restore elasticity to my hair).

What was also surprising was that there was something left in the cylinder! It looks tiny, but it weighs more than half there. It turns out that I can tint my hair 3-4 times with one can. This suits me quite well :)

Knowing this, I deliberately set aside all products except shampoo, conditioner and Essensity mask from Schwarzkopf Professional. The shampoo does not contain sulfate surfactants. And the conditioner and mask do not contain silicones and mineral oil.

I got tinted last Sunday (08/10/2014). After exactly a week I can still see the cool tone in my hair! Of course it is not as intense as it was at the very beginning, but it is there. But there is no yellowness. This week I washed my hair with Essensity Color & Moisture shampoo 4 times, each time using the conditioner of the same name. I used the Essensity Color & Reair mask once.

I have a suspicion that if I took the Bonacure BC Color Freeze line with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner with a laminating effect, the durability of the mousse would increase even more... I’ll have to check it out! But that’s much later, now I’m testing Essensity with all my might :)

In general, girls, what you wash your hair with makes a difference in both the permanent color and the shade. I believe in the durability of the shade up to 8 times of washing your hair. But with the caveat that the lady herself will try to maintain this shade with appropriate care products.

I saw the advantages stated by the manufacturer above in reality. The only thing is that I won’t be able to check the gray coverage. And I don’t know about mixing shades, I’ll have to try it. I liked the mousse, I will buy more, because... It returns the coldness with a bang, which allows you to avoid dyeing your hair with permanent dye for longer. And the shine is gorgeous!

The female soul in its own desire for change knows no equal. Now blondes are in trend, and now thousands of fair heads are walking along the streets of large cities, and tomorrow they will be brunettes and, as if with the wave of a magic wand, a transformation takes place into the colors of chestnut, chocolate and cinnamon. And so on endlessly... fiery red, neon tips, thick bangs and torn haircuts follow each other in a string.

A tinted hair tonic, foam or gel will help you create a catchy and unusual look without harming your curls.

Such inconstancy and the desire for change are well understood by manufacturers of hair cosmetics, which is why foams, gels, crayons, mascaras, mousses and tinted hair dyes, which allow you to try on different looks without harming your curls, are increasingly being replaced by permanent dyes on store shelves.

A tint hair mask is a double action product aimed at nourishing curls and lightly coloring them. Depending on the initial hair color, its structure and duration of exposure, such a mask can change the color by 2-3 tones for up to 3 weeks.

It would be fair to introduce you to the favorites of this sector - Magica CC hair care and color from Collistar and Reflection color care from Cutrin.

Magica CC hair care and color Collistar

Magica CC hair care and color from Collistar (price - from 650 rubles). When using, be sure to ensure that your hands and skin are protected.

It is a toning balm and a nourishing mask in one bottle. The caring characteristics of the product are provided by hydrolyzed keratin, panthenol, wheat proteins and vitamin E.

In its own line of semi-permanent masks, Collistar presented 6 natural colors from blonde to rich dark.

The product is distributed over clean, wrung-out hair, carefully combed with a plastic comb and left for 5-10 minutes.

Reflection Color Care Cutrin

Cutrin is a professional hair care brand and 5 shades of coloring mask, which will not only renew the color, but also provide decent care due to northern raspberry extract

The base of the line of the professional brand Cutrin was based on northern raspberry extract, thanks to which the pigment is retained deep in the hair structure, providing protection from adverse causes and nutrition.

Tint mask tones:

  • Silver Treatment is suitable for naturally blonde, bleached and gray hair;
  • Copper Treatment for natural and copper-colored hair;
  • Cranberry Treatment for red tones of colored hair;
  • Chocolate Treatment supports the brightness of warm chestnut and brown tones of levels 4-6;
  • Coffee Black Treatment for hair with color saturation levels from 1 to 3.

Foam color

Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Expert Mousse

Not long ago, another new product appeared on the windows of cosmetic stores - tinted hair mousse or tinted hair gel, or foam, as it is popularly called. The pioneer in the sector was Schwarzkopf Professional and its brainchild Igora Expert Mousse.

Igora Expert Mousse is a foam with a coloring function that you can easily use yourself

The advantage of hair mousse is its ability to be used in different ways; it can be color support for permanent root dyeing or complete tinting of previously dyed or natural curls. In the first case, the foam is applied for 3 to 5 minutes, in the 2nd case, the exposure time should be more than 20 minutes.

The drawback of Igora mousse is the lack of names of tones; here is a table of numbering correspondence

Pay attention! Igora Expert Mousse can be used to cover less than 20% of the total hair mass.

Modeling color with Wella Color

Wella Color offers a caring foam based on silk proteins and panthenol (Wella Viva line)

Wella Color tinted hair foam differs from its own coloring “brothers” in its caring qualities, which are ensured by the presence of silk proteins, panthenol, allanoline and ultraviolet filters that protect hair from the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation. The line of tint products is represented by 2 products Wella Color and Wella Viva.

Usage notes:

  1. Ensure proper protection of your skin, clothing and hands. In this matter, your reliable assistants will be an old towel, latex gloves and a rich cream that is applied to the skin along the hairline.
  2. Shake the bottle with the product thoroughly and turn it upside down.
  3. Distribute the mousse over unstained hair and leave for 30 minutes.
  4. After time, wash your hair with warm running water.

Palette and Manic Panic – tinting gels

When calculating the amount of gel, keep in mind that for hair up to the middle of the shoulder you will need more than 2 packages

The Palette concern did not stand aside and presented a tint product in the form of a gel to the consumer tribunal. The main advantage is that the gel is one-component and does not require preparatory mixing with ammonia or an oxidizing agent.

A more long-lasting and catchy result can be obtained on bleached or natural blonde hair. In total, the line includes 11 colors:

Rules of use:

  1. Wash your hair using your usual method without using conditioner.
  2. Wear latex gloves and cover your shoulders with a cape.
  3. Holding the bag upright, cut off a corner of the package.
  4. Squeeze out a small amount of gel and distribute over wet strands.
  5. Exposure time – 20-30 minutes (“Silver blonde” – 35-40 minutes).

Palette focused on the naturalness and naturalness of colors; Manic Panic took a completely different approach, offering a range that embodied all the brightness and richness of color.

Manic Panic (price - from 900 rubles). The company's motto states: “Our cosmetics were not tested on animals, they were tested on the stars.”

Unlike other gels, Manic Panic is applied to dry, unblemished hair. Having retreated 1 cm from the roots, the coloring composition is distributed with a brush and combed with a comb until foam appears, which indicates that the coloring process has started. The lighter the chosen tone, the longer the combing process. After 30 minutes, the remaining gel is washed off with cool water.

Little coloring tricks:

  1. You can enhance color saturation by staying under an infrared lamp.
  2. To keep the color for a very long time, wash your hair with cold water.
  3. Immediately after dyeing, rinse your hair with a weak solution of vinegar or lemon juice.

How? You don’t like the rich emerald color, your friend is swooning over the unusual flamingo color, and your serious boss asked you to get rid of your purple curls? Not a failure.

A mask made from warm vegetable oil will help to quickly remove color, which after an hour is removed with shampoo and hot water. That's all, “no panic”!

Crayons, varnish and mascara - you're dancing the Moulin Rouge!

If even two weeks of brightness is too much for you, and a riot of color in your curls is only needed for one evening, your choice is crayons, varnishes and inks.

Tinted hairspray bears some resemblance to the spray paints used to paint graffiti. Just a few clicks and the curls take on the most indescribable colors, transform into a gradient rainbow or transform into the popular colorful ombre.

When choosing this method of coloring, it is important to keep in mind that it is afraid of water and in cloudy weather it is better to abandon the idea. When applied, the surface of the hair may acquire an unpleasant rough structure, which can only be removed by washing.

Pay attention! Tinting varnish is a decorative cosmetic that requires mandatory removal at night. Getting on the surface of the hair, it creates a dense film and prevents the penetration of oxygen; as a result, if it remains on the hair for a long time, it deprives it of the necessary nutrition.

Rules of use:

  • Shake the can and spray the contents onto your hair. It is important that the can is no closer than 30 cm to the surface of the hair. If you plan to dye individual strands, use the usual and simple method.
  • Make a hole in thick foil and pull a strand through it, which will be colored later. After waiting a few seconds, remove the foil.

Tinted hair gel, mascara or crayons are best used as an accent, coloring individual strands or ends

Your right to choose:

  1. Kryolan color spray
  2. LEE stafford Hair ART
  3. Balea Color and Care
  4. Orkide Neon
  5. Jofrika color spray

Colored mascaras are an invention originally from the 90s, and even now they are intensively used by lovers of the brightest strands. The only drawback of the product is the ability to dye only individual strands.

The latest trend is coloring your hair, eyelashes and eyebrows with colored mascara. If you like this look, take a closer look at the packaging, it should certainly indicate the possibility of application on the face.

IsaDora Hair Mascara (price – from 140 rub.)

So, a difficult choice:

  1. DIVAGE Color Rush
  2. IsaDora Hair Mascara. Highlights & Streaks
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder & Hypercolor Tint
  4. Stargazer hair brush mascara

Shampoos and conditioners

The widest group of tint products are shampoos and conditioners. They have earned their popularity due to the huge number of colors and their ability to be used at home. The war against permanent dyes was helped by the absence of ammonia in the composition, which is the main pest of hair health.

This method of color configuration is called mechanical and is recommended for those whose curls lack strength and shine, and are upset by brittleness and dryness. Also for those who have not made a final decision on hair coloring.

Tinted hair conditioner does not destroy its pigment, but only fills microscopic pores and cracks in the hair shaft. This is why previously bleached curls and hair with a porous structure lend themselves better to temporary dyeing.

More popular brands and products that received the highest ratings from experts and consumers:

  1. Estel SOLO Ton presented in 17 colors. The base contains a keratin complex, which allows you to maintain the brightness of the color for up to 7 hair washing procedures.
  2. Schwarzkopf based on micro-proteins from the seeds of the Moringa Olifera tree, presented in 10 tones.
  3. IRIDA M De Luxe Contains beta-carotene and orange oil, retains color brightness for up to 3 weeks.
  4. LOreal enriched its tinted shampoos with healing herbal extracts, vitamins and mineral complexes.
  5. Wella retains color for a week, thanks to vitamin E and jojoba oil it has caring qualities.

Colorful accents in hair were tried on by stars and celebrities - Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne

Conclusion

The modern beauty industry offers a whole arsenal of tint products that, like a magic wand, create a new, catchy look. Experiment, be colorful, and the video in this article will help you with this.

Mousse for hair coloring is preferable for weakened and dry hair, as well as in all cases when there is no need to radically change the color of the hair. Mousse is a more gentle product and does not affect the structure of the strands as much as regular dye.

What is mousse paint?

The product has a foamy structure characteristic of a mousse, making it easy to apply and evenly distributed over the entire length of the hair. It contains both the coloring pigment itself and the developer, but in the form of a two-phase mixture. Packaging: a can with a dispenser.

Before use, shake the can so that the main components mix and form the active composition. The mixture must be homogeneous before application.

  • Tint mousse never contains ammonia, which is almost an essential component of paint. This feature is both an advantage and a disadvantage of the product. On the one hand, ammonia loosens the top layer of the hair shaft, which leads to loss of shine and elasticity. Since the product does not contain it, it does not have a negative effect.
  • On the other hand, due to partial damage to the stratum corneum, the coloring pigment penetrates deeper into the hair better and lasts noticeably longer. Mousse provides shade to curls only for 4-5 weeks.

The color palette of the composition is in no way inferior to the color range of paint. The smallest catalog includes at least 12 shades - from searing black to blondie. However, with the help of mousse it will not be possible to radically change the color of the curls, since the pigment does not penetrate deep enough into the hair. Its shade can be changed by no more than 4–5 tones. In addition, it is much easier to give light strands a dark shade. The reverse procedure, alas, is not very successful.

Advantages and disadvantages

Modern fashionistas are no longer so willing to radically change their color palette. Firstly, such a change will require changing literally the entire image, that is, clothing, makeup, and accessories. Secondly, the most gentle dyeing procedure is still stressful for the hair and cannot be done often. But you can experiment with mousse every month, as the reviews say.

It is not surprising that this remedy has become so popular. This is due to its many advantages:

  • mousse is one of the safest dyeing methods and is probably second only to henna and basma, since the latter, in addition, also have a healing effect. The product, in fact, removes only the fatty layer that protects the hair, but does not affect the density of the keratin scales;
  • tint mousses are presented in a wide range of colors, mainly natural tones;
  • The product is offered in a can, where the paint preparation process actually takes place. This saves beauties from having to look for a container and mix ingredients;
  • The dyeing procedure is extremely simple: the composition is easily applied to the hair, does not drip, and does not require such protective measures as a special cap. When painting, the polyethylene cap serves not so much to create a warming effect, but to prevent the pigment from drying out too quickly;
  • The procedure time is minimal: the composition is easily distributed and absorbed into the stratum corneum of the hair shaft.

The disadvantages of the product include:

  • the effect does not last as long as when painting with regular paint - no more than 4-5 weeks, and the intensity of the tone gradually decreases;
  • you cannot radically change the color of your hair, especially when it comes to dyeing dark hair in lighter colors;
  • Considering the instability of the result, the cost of the mousse is quite hefty.

Purpose of the product

Tinting mousse is not a universal solution. It is best suited for solving the following problems:

  • to restore strands that have faded over the summer;
  • to enhance the natural shade - for this use a color 1-2 shades lighter or darker;
  • For . Moreover, the composition lays down even more evenly, since it does not penetrate deeply into the surface. It is precisely because of this that the pigment is distributed more evenly, leaving no unpainted areas;

  • for those cases when the shade of the curls is changed by 4–5 tones;
  • for the first test coloring. Before you radically change the color of your hair, it is better to make sure that the result is worth it. Toning mousses allow you to do this with minimal losses.

In the following video you can see a review of the IGORA hair dye-mousse from the Schwarzkopf company:

Staining procedure

On short hair the procedure takes 10 minutes. For long ones, you will need a little more time and a comb, since it will not be very convenient to distribute the product along the length with your fingers. It is recommended to apply the composition to damp strands; in this case, the pigment is better absorbed.

  1. Wear gloves - they come with the mousse.
  2. Shake the can. Some manufacturers still have the developer and paint in two different jars. In this case, the products must be mixed without shaking, and then a special foaming attachment must be placed on the container.
  3. Squeeze a small amount of foam into your hand and apply to your hair. The foamy structure spreads very easily. For longer lengths, use a comb.
  4. Leave the paint on for 20–40 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

After the procedure, it is advisable to use a balm of the appropriate type. Sometimes the mousse includes such a product.

Manufacturers of tint mousse

Even a brief overview of the products on the market will include many manufacturers. As a rule, all well-known paint manufacturing companies also produce tinting shampoos and mousses.

  • "Schwarzkopf Perfect Mousse"- an extremely effective option just for those cases when it is necessary to lighten dark strands. Sold in a can with a dispenser, it is extremely easy to apply. The product contains additional moisturizing components: the company modestly insists that after coloring a balm is not necessary.

Marina, 25 years old:

I like to change the color of my curls. But the paint does not allow this, but the mousse can be used at least 10 times a year. In general, all products from Schwarzkopf are excellent, and the mousse in particular.

  • "Loreal Paris Sublime Mousse"– a very durable option, the result lasts up to 5 weeks. The product is offered in a convenient bottle with a dispenser. Before applying, you just need to shake the can. Which shade is best to choose depends only on the color palette of the skin and eyes: the mousse perfectly lightens dark strands to give them a light shade.

Svetlana, 28 years old:

I used L'Oreal mousse during pregnancy. I clarified the composition, the gynecologist gave the go-ahead. It covered all the gray hairs perfectly.

  • “Wella Wellaton” is long-lasting – it’s not called long-lasting for nothing; the results last for more than 6 weeks. The excellent color palette and richness of shades ensured the product great popularity.

Veronica, 32 years old:

I only dye my hair with this mousse. It really lasts for a month and a half. Moreover, if you dye your curls the same shade next time, there is no difference: the hair turns out to be colored completely evenly.

  • Mousse paint from Palette has a light foamy structure with a strawberry scent. The product is easy to apply and stays on for at least 30 minutes. The manufacturer guarantees not only the color, but also the shine of the hair.

Tatyana, 37 years old:

“Palette” covers gray hair perfectly – I can testify. I didn't get such good results with regular paint.

  • “Igora” is a professional tint product. Stays on hair for up to 2 months. Available in cans with dispenser.

Anna, 33 years old:

“Igora” came to me unexpectedly: the cosmetologist recommended it. My hair tolerates coloring quite well, but with mousse you can change the color much more often, which is what I like.

This is interesting! The best tinted shampoos for light and dark hair -

Mousse for hair coloring and tinting is an excellent option for those cases when you need to add brightness, shine to your hair and complement the natural range of shades. The mousse is very easy to apply and does not damage the curls.

Tips on how to dye your hair yourself with mousse dye (video)

La donna and mobile

As my most patient and diligent readers will remember, I have not used permanent paint for many, many (very many!) years. About eight years ago, I often dyed my hair with Wella tint foam, which was completely washed off after a few washes; Despite the budget and accessibility, the foam was good and met all my requirements - however, for some reason it was discontinued, and quite a long time ago. Oddly enough, I couldn’t find a replacement for it for several years: most brands have ammonia-free paints for tone-on-tone coloring, but they are harder than what I needed and do not wash off completely. But I couldn’t find anything that was not at all durable and soft anywhere - neither from professional brands, nor in the mass market. It’s strange - are there really so few women who want to often change color according to their mood and at the same time protect their hair from unnecessary harmful effects?

And only last winter I finally found what I needed from Schwarzkopf Professional: this is the Igora Expert Mousse tint mousse from their Igora line of professional paints. The mousse is completely washed out over time, and although it does not lighten, it can color it red or dark tones - although it would be more correct to say “darker than your original hair color”; that is, blondes can afford to make almost any shade.

Igora Expert Mousse can be used in different ways: combined with permanent dye when tinting the roots (for this, paint is applied to the roots, and mousse of a suitable shade is applied to the main body of the hair), to slightly refresh your color and give it shine (for this, the mousse is aged for 3-5 minutes) and just tint (for this, the exposure time increases to 15-20 minutes). I used exactly the last option. Igora Expert Mousse covers the first gray hair (up to 20% of the total hair volume, as stated - although I have little idea how to calculate these percentages).

Mousses have a significant disadvantage (for the average consumer): the shades are simply designated by numbers, without even approximate pictures or human names like “honey blonde in a black shoe" Moreover, the numbering system is intended for professional hairdressers, and for me personally it’s not only impossible to figure it out without a bottle, but even with a bottle there’s no chance. Look at the color decoding table for yourself:

Very clear, right? Now try (without looking at the results, which I will show below) to determine what shade these numbers should have been tinted in:

Fortunately, a specialist picked them out for me, but it didn’t become much easier: all the cans looked the same, and I didn’t have a decoding of what number meant what. But, as you know, Google the almighty saves you not in such situations: I found this visual layout by shades, downloaded it for myself and looked at it every time:

As you can see, I had a couple shades of light brown on my hands, a black and two reddish reds. Now I’m tormented by the desire to try 8-77, just a great option for the sunny season; If it works out, I’ll add it to the review later.

The use of Igora Expert Mousse, unlike the numbering system, is very simple and does not require special skills: just shake the can, squeeze out the mousse and apply to washed, towel-dried hair. Leave it on your hair for the time you need and rinse your hair until the water runs clear. Actually, this “becomes clear” thing has always been a mystery to me: I have never yet come across tinted products with which, after the first coloring, you could achieve clear water. It's still faintly colored! However, the terry turban that I use to dry my hair washes all this off without any problems. I recommend using gloves: you can wash your fingers later, but your nails run the risk of getting a permanent manicure.

Now let's move on to the shades. Of course, it’s worth considering that any tint products very much depend on the original color: you can only get something similar if you have a hair color similar to mine.

I started with dark blonde 5-5; it darkened my hair slightly, but in such a way that only I and my mother noticed the difference. Well, my hair became shinier, plus the gray hairs were covered over.

The next shade was 3-0, conditionally black - my original hair color is still too light for me to become a real burning brunette, but I liked the result, and even very much:

Next I picked up 4-68, which looked like a dark blonde with copper undertones on the shade chart. This is how it turned out, in general:

Personally, I never liked myself with this color, so I used shade 7-65 quite soon after the previous one: it removed the redness, but overall my hair looked a little more “red” than if I had applied my own shade completely - this is what it looked like immediately after painting:

However, in the second version of general makeup it is much clearer; In essence, this is my home shade; it makes sense to apply it only for shine and conditioning effect.

Well, the last one I tried was 5-88, a mahogany shade. Here's what it looked like immediately after application:

But then, when it began to wash off, the color shifted to copper. In yesterday’s clutch, both of the last makeups were with this shade, and you can clearly see how “red” the hair has become.

And yet, I don’t like myself as a redhead, especially if these are dark red versions, so literally three days ago, tired of waiting, I tinted my hair on top with a shade of 3-0, and now I’m dark and happy again.

Of course, you will probably want to know how quickly the mousse washes out, but it’s better not to rely on me in this matter: on me it lasts exactly until the next wash, and when I put it on a friend, it survived 2-3 washes. Plus, you understand that everyone’s shampoos are different, and if you use masks/conditioners, this gives additional rinsing. On me, light brown shades and 3-0 lasted for about six uses of shampoo (with a mask), red ones lasted longer, about eight (however, I painted over the last one without waiting).

To summarize, I would like to note that the condition of my hair has not deteriorated one iota, so I see no reason to refuse further use of mousses.

Approximate price - 450 rubles.

I hope that it turned out more or less informative; In general, of course, the difference in lighting makes it very difficult to evaluate the result. However, I specially pulled out the color in Photoshop so that the hair everywhere is rendered as faithfully as possible, although because of this, the skin color in some places went into less believable colors. What to do: You can't cook scrambled eggs without breaking an egg on your face.

What tint products do you know? How do you like the results on my hair?
