We make a heart out of paper using the origami technique. Do-it-yourself heart as a way to express warm feelings

The heart in the origami technique has several manufacturing options; beginners in this art should practice on rough pieces of paper.

Watch the video lesson: step by step making a valentine heart using the origami technique. Suitable for beginners.

You will need: a square sheet (for example, 20 by 20 centimeters) of red or hot pink paper.

Having folded many such hearts, you can make a garland by attaching the figures with glue to a cord, ribbon or braid.

The box is a heart. Video

A gift for a loved one can be a box with a heart.

Choose a dense material so that the box holds its shape well. At the bottom, you can write a wish or a declaration of love. The manufacturing process is described in detail in the video tutorial:

Beautiful heart with a pattern

The heart will look more interesting if you choose paper with a contrasting color of the sides.

The shape of the paper will be rectangular, the length should be twice the width.

  • Place a sheet of paper horizontally, fold in half, unfold.

  • Fold the lower right corner up to the middle of the sheet so that the triangle comes out. Straighten the sheet, do the same with the rest of the corners.

  • A rectangle with two X's came out. Grab one of them in the center, bring your fingers together, press down the funnel formed on top so that it folds into a triangle.

  • Repeat this step for the second "X".

  • Bend the free corners to the center, perpendicular to the fold, lift the resulting triangle. While pressing on the central axis, straighten it so that the square comes out. Repeat for the remaining three triangles.

  • Turn the workpiece over. Take the top corner of the diamond and lower it down to the bottom corner. Turn the workpiece over to the right side again.

  • Bend the edges of the squares from step 5 from the central axis to their center.

  • Bend the corners at the edges back so that the shape now resembles an origami heart.

  • Open the triangles in the same way as in step 5.

Flip the craft over to the front side.

The whole process can be seen in the video:

The scheme for its manufacture is extremely simple:

  1. Bend the rectangular sheet in half horizontally, outline the middle line.
  2. Fold the left and right ends up.
  3. Wrap about a third of the top edge back, fold the corners to form a heart.

A cute bookmark on the corner of the page in the shape of a heart is ready. More in the video:

You will need: a square sheet of colored paper. From ready-made hearts, make a garland to decorate a room or window.

Modular 3D heart

An unusual gift will be a modular origami heart. It will require 428 paper modules of a suitable triangular shape. The process is quite laborious, here is a step-by-step description:

  1. At the beginning of the assembly process, you need two closed rows of 5 modules, the third - 10 modules.
  2. Then insert the modules between the modules and fix them.
  3. For the next row, the build process is standard.
  4. For the new row, put on the modules as before, but now add two more modules between the three modules without fixing to make the origami three-dimensional. Do so on the opposite side. Insert two more modules on both sides to the additional ones.
  5. The assembly process for the next row is normal.
  6. Where additional modules have been added in the bottom row, reinsert two modules on both sides to make the heart even more voluminous.
  7. To assemble the next four rows, 34 modules are needed.
  8. On the sides, where the thickenings are located, make 8 rows, alternating four and three modules in a row on each side, finish the 9th row with two modules. Connect the rows in an arc.
  9. Make 5 more rows on each of the free sides.

If you want the modular origami heart to last long enough, string the modules out of paper, having previously greased them with glue. Thanks to the cavity inside, the heart can be used as a small gift box.

We only need a paper square. You can take both white and color, it depends on your desire.

  1. Fold the sheet in half. Iron each fold well, so the product will hold its shape better and look neater.
  2. We unfold and bend the upper side a few millimeters.
  3. Fold the sheet in half.
  4. We put the bottom corners of the resulting rectangle up.
  5. Now we have a triangle in front of us. Its sides need to be bent down, but do not fold, but only denote the lines we need.
  6. To the resulting marks, you need to bend the two upper corners.
  7. We also bend the "ears" formed from above and put them in the pockets formed.
  8. There is a small hole at the bottom of the future figurine. To achieve the effect of a three-dimensional heart, blow inside the structure.

All is ready! Even a child can handle such a simple scheme!

Remember that origami loves precision and neatness! Do not skip a single step and you will succeed.

  2. Then bend both sides of the triangle towards the center.
  3. We turn the workpiece over.
  4. Turn the upper corner down.
  5. There are two parts left at the top of the figure, they need to be bent down and hide the corners in the pockets.
  6. Now the corners, which are located in the center, need to be bent down.
  7. After that, we form the side parts, we also bend them and smooth out sharp corners by folding them inward.

Origami heart-box made of paper

The following craft is ideal for wrapping a small gift in it: you can put a tie, ring or some nice little thing for your loved one.

For manufacturing, we take a rectangular sheet of paper, which is colored on one side, for example, red, and on the other white.

  • Bend one of the sides along the line.
  • Spread out the resulting pocket, in this state, attach it and iron it. You should get a larger red triangle and a slightly smaller white one.
  • Bend this white part down, and bend the edge of the entire part up a little.
  • Then we apply the lower corner to the middle. It turned out to be a half of a heart!
  1. Fold back this side and apply the white edge to the center. We hide the remaining white corner inside.
  2. We do the same on the other side.

We've got a wonderful package for your gift! If you pull the halves of the heart, the box will open. Also, such a craft will be a great surprise for Valentine's Day: you can put a postcard with warm words or an envelope with a love confession in it.

Origami paper heart with wings

For the craft, we take a square sheet of paper measuring 20x20 cm.On one side, colored, and on the other, white.

  1. We fold it in half.
  2. Expand and fold in half again.
  3. We bend the lower side to the upper line.
  4. Turn over and bend the bottom corners to the midline.
  5. We also apply the middle parts to the middle.
  6. We turn the workpiece over. Then we hold it by the triangle, bend the upper part down and straighten it.
  7. We bend the bottom side to the top line.
  8. We straighten and apply the lower part to the center so that a triangle of colored paper opens inside. So it is on the other side.
  9. The result is a figurine that looks like a boat. The lower part should be folded like an accordion: bend it up to the midline and bend it down. Repeat this three more times. It turns out 7 folds. These are the future wings. Gather them in the center and spread each wing slightly by the edges.
  10. Then we fold the small white triangles on top (there should be two on each side).
  11. So that there are no sharp corners at the top of the heart, it is necessary to smooth them out and bend down.

The valentine is ready!

Modular origami paper heart

The next option is more suitable for those who already have an initial understanding of origami and managed to get their hands on it.

Such figures are assembled from separate parts-modules, which are nested into each other in a special way. The finished product looks impressive and turns out to be very beautiful, voluminous, bright. Can be used as an independent gift.

Often in modular origami, several colors of modules are combined, alternating with each other.

You will need to prepare the component parts in advance, their number directly depends on the size of the craft. The assembly of the figure begins from the bottom, gradually modules are added with each row.

In order for the heart to delight you as long as possible, many recommend gluing it.

This technique requires even more concentration and patience. It will take much longer to make it compared to the previous figures.

Do not give up what you love. Even if you don't succeed the first time, try again and you will succeed! Feel free to learn new techniques and experiment.

They help to create a warm, festive atmosphere conducive to communication and the manifestation of the most sincere, kind, feelings.

Well suited for interior decoration.

Before making a volumetric one, you need to cut a blank out of paper. We use an ordinary white sheet for its manufacture, which we fold in half and cut out half of the heart at the fold. When we unfold the cut out part, we get a whole neat heart.

Using this heart as a template, we cut out many identical shapes from a red double-sided sheet of paper.

It will turn out especially effective if you use thin enough corrugated or tissue paper, but in this case you will need to cut out a lot of hearts. To speed up the process, you can fold the red paper sheets several times or stack them on top of each other.

Even if used relatively thick, you need to cut out at least nine hearts.

We put the resulting blanks together and sew them on a regular sewing machine. You can also sew them by hand, trying to make the most straight line.

If we sew on a machine, we put a stitch at a sufficiently large distance from the edge of the heart - from a stitch that goes through the air, we will subsequently make a loop. If we sew by hand, we simply break off the thread, leaving a fairly long tip.

Ours is almost ready!

It remains only to tie the edges of the loop and evenly distribute the layers of the heart over the three-dimensional plane to get a beautiful three-dimensional figure.

We make as many of these as possible and decorate with them a room in which it is planned to arrange a holiday for one or many couples in love.

You can arrange a small surprise for your loved one by decorating the apartment in this way for his arrival.

Modular origami heart: manufacturing methods

Volumetric heart

To work, you need about 370 red modules. It's easy to make them. Take the paper, divide it into 4 equal parts. As a result, you will get triangles measuring 53 by 74 mm. On one side of A4 sheet, you will get 16 triangles. If you divide them into 8 parts, you get 32 modules, measuring 37 by 53 mm.

  • Fold the rectangle in half. Now bend and unfold the rectangle - this is necessary in order to outline the line of the middle. Fold the edges of the rectangle towards you, turn over. Fold the edges up, fold the corners and unfold them again. Fold all the marked triangles along the marked lines and lift the edges up. Fold the resulting triangles in half. Your module is ready, it consists of 2 corners and 2 pockets. Make 370 such modules. for your voluminous heart.
  • The 1st row will consist of 5 modules, the 2nd - of 10. The 3rd row will need to be added to the 1st module. The 4th should consist of 20 modules. Now divide them in half and add one more module in the middle.
  • Fold the 5th row without adding modules, and add 2 modules to the 6th row on each side. In the 7th row, you will need to add 1 module to the increments from the 6th row. Collect the 8th, 9th and 10th rows in the same way as the seventh.
  • Find the add-on modules in the 8th row and place 4 modules on both sides between them. At 4 - 3, repeat again. You should have something that looks like a basket. It turned out 7 rows on both sides. The last row consists of 2 modules. Close the top. Add 3 rows of modules to the main structure, while pressing them to the top. The origami heart from the modules is ready. It can be decorated with an arrow made of a toothpick and colored paper.
