Saves for Corsairs: To each his own. Game Corsairs: To each his own Corsairs to each his own save all completed

What does a pirate need to do to avoid ending up prematurely in the arms of the sea devil? Take a sip of rum for courage, load a pistol, take the sharpest and strongest sword, and of course cheat a little here and there. There are cheat codes in almost every part of the corsairs. But in this game, apparently, the developer simply cut them out. So, what needs to be done to gain unlimited power over the world? Read the guide below.

Attention!

To launch the cheat menu, you need to copy the contents of the archive (see at the end of the message) to the root of the directory with the game installed. The cheat menu is called up by pressing the F11 key. You can close the cheat menu by pressing the same key, or close it with the cross in the upper right corner. The "Ok" button next to the command line in the upper left will teleport you to the inn on Isla Tesoro (unless you entered other parameters for the character transfer endpoint into the command line). A little advice - do not abuse the use of cheat codes. Otherwise, at a certain moment the game will start to crash, thanks to the long-suffering engine. And you won’t be able to complete the game if you don’t have earlier saves to replay almost a whole line of already completed quests.

* in the "Items" menu, the "Get all expensive jewelry" option has been removed, because these are quest items, and the player's premature possession of some of them could lead to a dead end in the game's plot (thanks to Darth Aleks);
* in the "Locations" menu, the "Reload current location" option has been removed (its use in some places could lead to a dead end in terms of moving to the next/previous location);
* in the "Other" menu, the option "Call \ remove a storm in the current land location" has been removed (similar to "Reboot the current location");
* in the "Other" menu, the option "Change the speed of rotation of the sky" has been removed (in patch 1.5.0, the rotation of the sky was slowed down by as much as 8 times);
* in the "Other" menu, the "Change sea quality" option has been removed (authored by Sticksъ) (in patch 1.5.0, the weather configs and, in particular, water were changed).
Other:
* the speed of the animation of running with a musket in your hands has been slightly increased to make it look more natural;
* the speed of the running animation of Lawrence Beltrop from KSM has again been slightly changed to make it look more natural (+ missing elements have been added: sounds from putting away a sword, from moving his legs at this moment, when firing a pistol, etc.);
* all playable girls based on Beatrice's models from K3 have a single animation (+ missing elements have been added: sounds from putting away the sword, from moving their legs at this moment, etc.);
* for all models of playable characters in the World Cup, "auto-restoration" of animation has been introduced when entering locations in which it changes forcibly (entrance to Tayasal, underwater locks, etc.);
* also, when entering such locations, a “reminder message” was introduced to the player that the animation can always be restored, if something happens;
* all playable characters in the World Cup who previously did not know how to swim underwater learned this;
* corrected the position of the pistol locator for officers Magnus von Kokkai and Nicolas Rimallier;
* corrected the class of the lugger "Normandy" from the GPK (was 6th, became 5th) (menu "Ships", #23) (thanks to MerlinCheater);
* fixed muteness of waitresses;
* probably something else that I already forgot about ^^

Game: Platform: PC Genre: action, add-on, rpg Release date: December 7, 2012 In Russia: December 7, 2012 Developer: BlackMark Studio Publisher in Russia: Akella / Track down We have a disc with the game in our hands "Corsairs: To Each His Own" with wonderful naming in the British way Pirates Odyssey from company "Akella" and a fan development studio Black Mark Studio. Apparently, they will become the swan song of the Russian "Corsairs", which appeared in the capital’s basement of an old house back in 2000 at the dawn of three-dimensional games. Until now, changes have occurred very rarely in this unique genre. With the release of the disastrous Corsairs 3 in 2005, the fan-made development team Seaward.Ru corrected all the shortcomings in the add-on “Corsairs: Return of the Legend” in 2006 and its sequel “Corsairs: City of Lost Ships” in 2007. Their next step was supposed to be “Corsairs 4”, but development was delayed, and in the old "Corsairs" There was still almost everything left that could be changed or made better in anticipation of a hit. This is exactly what other fans of the series did, forming a studio Black Mark. After it became clear that "Akella" got rid of Corsairs 4 and froze the project for life, the guys set about commercializing their own amateur add-on with the support of a greedy publisher who had the rights to the Storm Engine.
To this day, fans remain faithful to “Corsairs” not only in Russia, but also abroad - on the PiratesAhoy site! Akella missed the mark in his own repertoire

The result of this collaboration is hateful reviews with strong criticism "KS" for the old graphics from the time of “Corsairs 3”. By the way, not enough people know what "Akella" then I worked with art from 2002 from the failed ones "Corsairs 2", which later turned into “Pirates of the Caribbean” under license Disney. Even our creators, admittedly, simply refused to look at the screenshots of the game with exclamations of “Oh my God, what is this! What year is this game?” It's a nice contrast to the same sea scenes from Assassins Creed 3, right? The criticism is fair. Storm Engine version 2.8 is now a historical piece. He was sent into retirement back in 2007, when City of Lost Ships was criticized for its cheap graphics. Storm Engine - remnants of its former greatness But Storm Engine at one time was an advanced Russian development without any analogues in the West. Russian programmers managed to combine three large graphics engines into one - a land component in the action genre, sea battles and a global map with a developed economy. All this had to work together, complementing each other. And it did work. And it works to this day, and in a way that its creators themselves did not expect. There was even a whole breakthrough in the development of the Storm Engine in the failed game “The Adventures of Captain Blood.” He has his own long-suffering history. But you can read about all this here from the developers themselves, fortunately they speak in a very interesting and informative way. "Corsairs: To Each His Own" designed only for fans of the series and made by the same fans. Consider the game a sort of indie project. Others will be greatly disappointed. A simple glance at the screenshots and our assessment of the game will be enough to realize how poor and cash-strapped some publishers in Russia are, who once had the audacity to let an amazing series of games slip away from their own stingy hands, to the point of golden doubloons. Ultimately, all hopes for the emergence of "Corsairs 4" fell. Oxygen of the studio working intensively on the project Seaward.Ru was closed back in 2010. In order not to be sad, let's find out a kind fan's point of view about "KS".
The towns and settlements in the game have been preserved since the days of Corsairs 3. Fan position: to each his own

The first fan addon “Return of the Legend” for “Corsairs 3” was supposed to transform the game into a multi-party game, with the highest degree of replayability based on the principle of chess. But in fact, any new party became more insipid than the previous one due to the poor set of quests. In "GPK" they tried to change the situation with the help of a decent number of small and several huge stories, including the plot with Captain Blood, a pirate line-up and the search for the magical City of Lost Ships. But with the onset "To each his own" The plot no longer becomes a complementary element, but the main one! The story is presented in an interesting, good and extensive manner, despite a significant share of “hardcore” (in some tasks you need to remember details from dialogues or write on paper). Overall this is the most powerful aspect of the new "Corsairs".

As conceived by the creators, the protagonist begins life on the archipelago from scratch, just as the adventures once began in the famous modification from ALexusB "Return of a Marine Legend", only here you are not thrown into the game world naked. IN "KS" the situation is spiced up with story quests. Thanks to them, the first city of Saint-Pierre in Martinique becomes well known - we visit the owner of the store, who asked us to help establish competition in the town, the moneylender, for whom we rescued a Spaniard from captivity, and we remember about the owner of the tavern, which, due to our own inclination I lost my only daughter to smuggling.

"To each his own"- these are such "Corsairs", which we (fans of the series) really missed in 2005, when we read the latest previews of “Corsairs 3” first-hand. All the wildest fantasies of the publisher's press service, as it turned out after the release of K3, are now in "KS" in the form of embodied techniques, game features and parts of gameplay. Because of this, the old Storm Engine rattles and slows down when working in the interface and calculating numerous script formulas. Still would! After all, the seven-year-old technology is responsible for very complex miscalculations, including automatic trading, moving squadrons on the global map even when you are on land or sleeping in a tavern, or, for example, miscalculating at least 4 characteristics of the balance of blades during simultaneous fencing of more than 30 man in the frame!

Old "Corsairs" in new details

Black Mark Studio interfered with the engine with minor changes (for fear of spoiling something that works great). But they did an amazing job on the script part, investing as much as they could into transforming the external data of the game - a generous interface, new models and textures, a whole pack of ancient beautiful maps, etc.. As a result, we got a huge number of new parts that work without glitches. For example, alchemy. At the very beginning of the game, you practically don’t pay attention to it - it seems that it is useless and unnecessary in "Corsairs" element. But when we come across rare items in chests and at merchants, instructions for creating, for example, a hand grenade, you begin to think about the usefulness of this ability.
Alchemy is one of the new parts of the game, the general description of which in the manual takes up 80 pages of printed text! For those who are tired of the Caribbean archipelago in previous games in the series, in "To each his own" A search system for uncharted islands has been implemented. This is done using navigation devices. In such places, perhaps, a European has not even set foot yet - either riches or a grave await him there. Yes, yes, the aborigines and savages will not let you get bored on the way to gold mines or treasure troves of amulets that give significant prizes - another new feature of the game. All this can be found out from rumors by communicating with virtual colonists. But the treasure promised by someone may in fact turn out to be a chest with torn shoes or animal corpses.

The developers have significantly changed the fencing system, creating a seven-button (!) system of strikes and feints. IN "KS" the characteristics of the blade have not only attack power and weight, but also the balance of the blades. The latter indicates the center of mass between the handle and the tip of the blade. Balance forces us to choose a fencing technique between penetrating strikes and feints. Thus, an experienced approach to choosing a blade and fencing technique already at the early stages of the game will make the protagonist invulnerable to the enemy, which, naturally, does not prevent you from relying on boarders or ordinary “blow-block” clicks.

The fleet of ships has also been updated in the game. All models have been transformed not only on the outside - they are equipped with a system of multi-level destruction of masts, a stray tiller (without which the ship cannot turn, becoming easy prey) and balance features. The number of things and weapons reached a number previously unheard of in the series. Everything, from an ordinary shell to a huge quest, is verified in accordance with historical realities. Even a Muscovite who wanders into the archipelago teaches the protagonist to drink vodka correctly so as not to get drunk.

Apparently seven years ago "To each his own" would have been received with a bang. Well, now no one would complain if the retail price for the disc or image on Steam was adequate. Well Black Mark Studio did not show her own professionalism in everything. For example, the sound component of the game, together with the replicas of city residents, has become poorer (they have been updated, but there are fewer of them now), the musical accompaniment has been significantly reduced, and many of the sounds of the world around us have disappeared - how do you like the sea without the sound of waves and surf?
The developers have updated the fleet of ships with 20 new models with different textures and features.***Now we give the company a “two” "Akella" for her treacherous attitude towards the best gaming brand, which gave birth to the only genre unique in the world in 2000! The time has long come for “Corsairs 4”, because we continue to dance with a saber to pirate songs on the ruins of Storm Engine 2.8 and sink ships against the backdrop of angular islands with bald spots. Still, we believe in magic thanks to such people from fan circles as Seaward And Black Mark Studio!

Pros: a fascinating and long-lasting plot; a huge number of small quests have been added; alchemy; new weapon; advanced fencing; brand new officer system (including automatic trading for the treasurer).
Minuses: outdated graphics; recurring settlements; poor soundtrack; clumsy animation was left without configurations; The game is intended only for fans. about the game rating system

Q1:How to enable vertical sync?
A: Use the settings management for your video card.
Eg:
NVidia: Video card driver management >> 3D settings >> Applications >> engine.exe >> "Vertical sync" [on]
Or: NVIDIA Control Panel >> Manage 3D Settings >> Software Settings >> Vertical Sync Pulse [On]

ATI Radeon: Call Catalyst™ Control Center, then
RUS: graphics -> 3D -> all (show all parameters) -> wait for vertical update -> [on, if not specified by the application] (move the slider 1 division to the right), or, if that doesn’t help, move to [always on]
ENG: graphics -> 3D -> all -> wait for vertical refresh -> or, if that doesn’t help,

= = = = =
Q2:I have the game installed on my laptop. How can I take advantage of advanced deceleration and acceleration capabilities?
A: To do this, you need to enable NumPad emulation mode (See the user manual for your laptop).
On most models, the key combination (Fn)+(NumLk) is usually used.

Ultra-compact models may not have this mode.
If you are using a mouse with extra keys, then assign (Num+) and (Num-) to its unused buttons (use the On-Screen Keyboard to “click” these buttons in the mouse setup program).

= = = = =
Q3:There are no saves in the game folder - the SAVE folder is empty!
A, Reason: the game may be installed on the system drive.
OS Vista and Windows 7 prohibit any “suspicious” entries on the system disk and, in fact, write to the Virtual Store folder.

Solution: use the system search by writing the name (name) of your save in the search bar.
Example where saves can be located: C:\\Users\\"Username"\\AppData\\Local\\VirtualStore\\Program Files(x86)\\Akella Games\\

= = = = =
Q4:Using the “sail to...” function, some anchorages (bays and even ports) disappear!
A, Solutions:

1. Change location (go ashore and back to sea, go to the global map and again to the battle map).

2. On Windows 7 (x64 or x86) a similar picture is observed (only the fort and ships remain) when the application is compatible with Windows XP SP2 or SP3.
Try setting compatibility to Win NT 4.0 - this option helps a lot of players.
If it doesn't help, disable compatibility.

3. In the application compatibility settings, disable image scaling at high screen resolutions.

4. For those who “suddenly disappear” bays and other points:

1) Save and close the game.
2) Go to the properties of ENGINE.EXE, check the box for “compatibility” with Windows XP (any version) and disable image scaling for high screen resolutions (check the box).
3) Launch the game, load your save, do nothing else, exit the game.
4) Go to the properties of ENGINE.EXE, uncheck compatibility, return the scaling checkbox to its previous position (at which the game previously worked properly).
5) Reboot the computer.
6) Launch the game, load the same save.
7) Enjoy until Win7 once again resets the application settings during internal automatic operations.
Actions from steps 2, 3 and 4 must be taken not for the shortcut, but for the executable file itself in the game folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Pirates Odyssey To Each His Own).

= = = = =
Q5:Sometimes the sound of the game starts to work discretely, intermittently, and extraneous clicks and wheezing are heard. What to do?
A: To fix the problem, correct it in the file engine.ini in the section the value of the parameter UseMM = 0 (was UseMM = 1).

= = = = =
Q6:Why does the game launch in a small window?
A: There is a set of conditionally “external” settings – those that for the most part cannot be changed directly in the game. To change their values, in particular, the size of the game window, you should run the program Config.exe, located in the root of the directory selected when installing the game.

= = = = =
Q7:Where to find the file engine.ini?
A: In the game folder.
As a rule, this is...\Steam\steamapps\common\Pirates Odyssey To Each His Own - on the drive where you installed the Steam client.

= = = = =
Q8:Why was the main character's block removed from all blades except axes?
A: There is a block.
The so-called eight.

= = = = =
Q9:How to assign officers as companions to captured ships? I have officers, but they don't appear on the list...
A: Carefully read everything that officers tell you when hiring.
Especially those who come to your hero’s team in the story. Some of them do not want to control the ships, others will not engage in a boarding battle.

You will be helped by ordinary mercenaries who are waiting in taverns, or by rescued pirates who have agreed to serve.

= = = = =
Q10:After talking with his brother, he swam to Fadey, “sipped” some vodka with him, but he didn’t give him any work. What should I do, please tell me?
A: Nothing, keep playing.
The time allotted for this task has expired.
Next time, don’t delay, and you’ll be able to complete this tutorial quest.

= = = = =
Q11:The key (F12), designed to obtain information about the character in the neighborhood, is responsible for taking a screenshot in the Steam client. Inconvenient! What to do?
A: Assign a different key for screenshots in the Steam client program.

Steam client >> Steam in the menu, top left >> Settings >> In Game >> Hotkey for screenshot

= = = = =
Q12:What are these things? I take a task to deliver cargo, and these scoundrels, Gentlemen of Fortune, are constantly catching up with me!
A: Start with simple errands, such as delivering mail at the Port Authority. Pursuers may appear, but their level and skills will not be much higher than the protagonist.
At the same time, explore the archipelago.

= = = = =
Q13:Horrible! The sailors are losing their skins, the officers are simply swimming in gold, and the costs of the ship exceed the maintenance of a Mercedes. There's not enough money!
A: Hire a Treasurer Officer. Equip an amulet that increases your trading skills. Get rid of fines in PIRATES.

= = = = =
Q14:I can’t figure out where and from whom to buy weapons and telescopes. Tell!
A: In any civilian settlement there is a weapons merchant.
There may also be traders in the settlement: a neutral Indian, a wandering monk, a herbalist, a gunsmith and a stapler (staplemaker). If there are not enough trays, then they wander the streets.
Moneylenders sell valuables.
Rare but always random goods are sold by lighthouse keepers.
Navigation equipment is sold at the GVIK office located in Curacao.

= = = = =
Q15:Some kind of leapfrog is going on in the game! Quest givers disappear, dialogues get confused, phantom ships or officers appear.
The game is licensed, not a repack!

A: Try to use quick saves as little as possible!
A quick save is made in one slot on top of the old one, overwrites it and, if repeated many times, can lead to glitches and bugs.
Moreover, when a glitch appears in the game, resaving in the same slot can serve as an impetus for damage to saves and the development of a chain reaction (resaving from a damaged save gives a damaged save, and so on, until the game becomes completely impossible).

Save through the menu as often as possible and only into empty slots.
Try to avoid overwriting saves. Keep your saves for several days.

= = = = =
Q16:I regularly receive penalties to the hero’s characteristics and skills. For what?
A: Reasons for fines and ways to eliminate them:

1) Low navigation skill.
Appoint a Navigator. Wear the amulet. Change the vessel to one corresponding to the class.

2) The character is sick.
Brothel. Tavern. Church. Potions-amulets.

3) The character is overloaded.
Get rid of excess weight.

4) The character is cursed.
Find a way to get rid of the curse.

5) The character is drunk.
Sleep (rent a room in a tavern). Physical activity (arrange a fight).

= = = = =
Q17:I can’t work in the amulets system, help!
A: Look carefully at the amulet icon.
The stone is a symbol of who to sell to:
- turquoise (blue) – church. The monks will pay dearly and sell cheaply. They will buy Indian crafts for three pesos;
- jade (green) – native. The monks will pay dearly and sell cheaply. They will buy church products for next to nothing;
- coral (red) – household. Ironmongers will pay dearly and sell cheaply. They’ll buy all the others for half the price, they don’t care.

The compatibility of amulets is shown in the rosette under the stone:
- necklace with claws: offensive effects - not compatible with defensive ones;
- sun with rays: protective effect - not compatible with attackers;
- Celtic circle: auxiliary - does not matter.

If the amulet is activated (put on), but nothing has changed in the character’s characteristics. This does not mean. that it doesn't work. You will feel the results in the game, because... the effect of amulets is taken into account in the algorithms.

= = = = =
Q18:Indicators above ships have disappeared in the game. Although the “Show additional information graphically” mode is activated in the settings, what could be the problem?
A: Information indicators (“stripes”) above ships disappear if you force any type of anti-aliasing in the drivers and at the same time run the game with post-processing.

Q19:The problem is in the quest "Rum for the Bartender" at the very beginning of the game. I can get onto the Ghost ship, but not into the sea - there is no icon for going to sea. What to do?
A: First, through the “Swim to” option, disembark on Lamentin beach, return to the ship, again through “Swim to” get to the “Ghost” and load the rum.
The icon should appear.
