1. Preparing the nail plate:

   5. Apply Dry Bond conditioner if necessary. This is done in a thin layer. It should air dry for about 30 seconds.
2. Apply White Highlighter on two-thirds of the nail with a thin layer - it will be almost colorless. But this is necessary to show the product where it will be located. With a thin brush or a gradient brush, slightly stretch its edges in the center of the nail to create a smooth transition. Dry in a lamp.
3. Apply White Highlighter on the free edge with a thick layer, as if squeezing the brush against it, and then align it with a thin brush and stretch it to the required length of the jacket. Dry in a lamp for 30 seconds (LED).
4. Apply a thin layer from the cuticle to the free edge of the BB Cream. At the joint, stretch it slightly with a thin brush and dry for 30 seconds.
5. Next, we collect more material on the brush and lay it out, slightly retreating from the cuticle, towards the center. We do not run it with a brush in the usual sense, but pull the thread and lay it out like a gel. Adjust the gradient with a thin brush, stretching the material at the cuticle and side ridges, as well as at the junction with the white color. Turn the nail over and let it flatten for about 10 seconds. Dry in a lamp for 30-60 seconds.
6. Then you can make sawdust, if there is such a need (to correct the shape, sagging, sagging ribs). Use a 100-180 grid file for this. But I didn't need it - the material was perfectly self-leveling.
7. Top it over with Finish and cure in the lamp. Do not forget about sealing nails from the end.

For nails with a glitter gradient strip in the center, I used a slightly different sequence of actions. I used a stencil strip as an auxiliary tool.

1. I pasted the stencil in the center of the nail. You can, of course, do without it, but it is so convenient to immediately see whether our strip lies exactly in the center.
2. Next, apply a thin layer of White Highlighter on 2/3 of the nail on the sides of the strip, stretch it into a gradient with a thin brush. Before drying, I remove the stencil and, if necessary, correct the edges, removing nodules with a dry brush.
3. I return the strip and apply White Highlighter in a thick layer with a gradient stretch. Then, before drying, I delete and amend it again.
4. I apply BB Cream in a thin layer, including on an empty strip in the center of the free edge. Correcting stretching and dryness.
5. Next, you need a thicker BB Cream layer. We apply in the same way as on nails without a design, only with the overlap of the strip in the center. Dry.
6. Next I will be using UNO Glitter Liquid Diamond number 080C. I will mix them with the finish to a fairly thick consistency. I paint with a brush and do a gradient stretch with sparkles from the free edge to the cuticle. Here you can also use stencils for an even strip, but, in general, you can do without them, as you can see.
7. I cover the design with a top.

The sequins, although not the smallest, have uneven edges, but they are absolutely not felt under the top.

Note that this design is almost as easy to execute on the left hand as on the right. In general, I spent about 2.5 hours on two hands. Gradient nail polish is a method of applying varnish when one shade of color smoothly transitions into another. Here's how it is in the photo below ...

My first experience with applying smooth color to nails with a sponge - took exactly 1 hour (this is for both hands) - I have already done my second gradient experience faster - in 40 minutes ... So get ready to pant a little longer. And then skill and speed will come with experience.

This manicure technique is a godsend. for those who can never paint their nails sensibly and evenly even on a comfortable left hand ... always crooked and smeared (I myself am). And the gradient is so good - that it turns out exactly even for those who have never been able to evenly spread the varnish with a brush, so that there are no traces.

HOW IN HOME CONDITIONS

simple and quick - to make a manicure with a color transition.

There are 2 main ways:

FIRST METHOD - CLASSIC "rainbow on sponge".

The photo below shows the principle of how to make such a manicure with a sponge. Apply three stripes of color to the plastic (for example, hot pink \ pale pink \ white). We apply a sponge to our "rainbow"- and a rainbow imprint remains on its surface. We apply a sponge to the nail so that all three colors fall on the nail plate.

Although I use a BRUSH to draw a rainbow immediately on the sponge (and not on the plank). And I apply ... Again I draw and again I apply.

Which sponge will work. It is better to take not an ordinary sponge for washing dishes (it is too loose) - but rather take a cosmetic SPONGE (for applying foundation on the face) ... or a foam puff from your compact powder. The sponge has smaller pores, holes and the varnish lays down more evenly. And it is more convenient to hold such a thin sponge in your hands - than a loose sponge.

You may be intimidated by the fact that ...

The first sponge print on the nail - will be pale(almost invisible) ...

Don't be alarmed. It should be so... For the color to become saturated and deep, you need to repeat the sealing of the sponge to the nail almost 10 times ...

But even when you have already sealed the sponge to the nail 10 times, you will still not like the color because of its dullness and fading. The photo in the computer is so shiny, but my fu-u-u-u have a dull color. Do not be alarmed - this is fixable. A rough sponge gives this dullness of shades ...

The color will shine with depth only after- how do you cover the gradient nail with COLORLESS VARNISH (it is better to take a colorless diamond finishing varnish).

I do like this - I smear the sponge and seal it in turn to each nail on my hand - I start from the big one to the little finger (we almost don't see the print to the little finger).

Then I again put a rainbow of lag on the sponge - and I seal it again - from large to minisign.

Somewhere 7-10 times you have to make such layers ... until the color becomes bright. And then I compare my fingers - if somewhere the color is as bright as on the others - I apply a sponge again. Then I cover the whole thing with "Diamond Liquid Lacquer finish to complete the manicure." And after such coverage - the color becomes 2 times deeper and richer ...

After that ... we remove the traces of varnish that got on the skin ... by the way, you can pre-seal the skin with pieces of plaster or scotch tape (then you will have to clean less) ... Or use the clever FILM method - which will be discussed below.

The second method is DOT APPLICATION OF THE GRADIENT on the nail.

If you want to cover with a gradient ONLY THE EDGE OF THE NAIL... then you can make the gradient SIMPLIFIED WAY.

That is…

1. first we paint the nail in one color ...
2. And then use the EDGE OF A SPONGE with another varnish to blot the tips of the nails several times.

But - in the CLASSIC METHOD (rainbow on the sponge) it still turns out a Smoother color transition on the nail. Since it is better to use two contrasting varnishes ... and IMMEDIATELY use SEVERAL COLORS of a neighboring shade palette.

Below is an example of how to create a gradient on the nails using this SECOND METHOD.

We will need:

• 2 multicolored drops of varnish -
• and 2 small pieces of sponge stub (cut off the corner with scissors so that its surface of the sponge is not smooth, looser - so it will leave more blurry prints).

• cover the nail base shade(we have it pink).
• dip the sponge stub in contrasting color(black) - apply it (with blotting tyts-tyts-movements) on one half of the nail SO - so that it is thicker at the tip of the nail, and not very much closer to the middle.
• We dunk another stub of sponge to basic(pink) color - AND NOT IMMEDIATELY (!!!) on the nail, but first we poke a sponge somewhere on the surface of a piece of plastic or paper - to remove excess varnish from it) and only then lightly seal the sponge to the nail in the BORDER zone between different varnishes ...
• We are waiting for it to dry and apply colorless varnish... And that's it - the nail is ready - we made a gradient manicure by hand.

As you can see, it looks less neat than a gradient with a solid piece of sponge ...

But on the other hand, it is THIS METHOD that is suitable if you need to make a ZONE GRADIENT (as in the manicure with the photo below - where each nail zone is painted in its own separate color).

It is in this PIECE-FOAM method that manicure is done in the style of SPACE(which will be discussed later in this article) ...

There are more CLEANER WAYS

I call clean methods of applying a smooth transition of colors those after which it is NOT NECESSARY TO CLEAN THE SKIN AROUND THE NAIL.

There are also two such ways:

The BRUSH method is both convenient and clean.

Its beauty is that we can run the brush along the nail so as not to touch the skin of the lateral ridges and cuticles (we do not have to brush the paint off the finger for a long time).

FILM method is the fastest.

there are modern SKIN PROTECTING COMPOSITIONS - we apply them to the skin ... they immediately thicken and form a protective FILM around the nail.

You see how impressive this manicure design looks - and everything is very simple to do. First, paint the nails using the gradient technique. We are waiting for them to dry thoroughly - that is, they will become completely solid.

And then we glue TAPE on each nail - you can put the tape so that there is a SEALED PLACE on the nail striped(as in the photo with black nails) - or in the form of a triangle(in the photo of white nails). We make the piece of scotch tape longer, so that later its long tip would be convenient to grab and tear off from the nail.

Then we cover the OPEN AREA of the NAIL (the one that is not glued) with any varnish (black, white, other) - and when the paint is applied, we pick up the adhesive tape and carefully peel it off. It turns out that what was under the tape remains iridescent and gradient, and the rest of the zone is uniformly colored.
