Toys for 6 month old babies. Multi-colored fruits from the RNToys company. Developing fine motor skills

And what toys are needed for children 6-9 months old

Features of the development of a child at the age of 6-9 months

  • By the age of 7 months, the child is already sitting quite steadily and is trying to crawl. Some babies prefer to crawl first and then sit down.
  • Comprehensively examines objects within the field of vision. The kid takes an object with his hands, transfers it from hand to hand, can knock one object against another, acts not only with his whole hand, tries to move with his fingers.
  • She enjoys observing and exploring how objects relate to each other. Puts one on top of the other, hits them, pushes them, and so on.
  • By the age of 7 months, the baby begins to understand by the intonation of the parents what is "no" and "no". He may not yet fulfill these prohibitions, but he distinguishes them from the general flow of speech.
  • He loves to look at himself in the mirror, he can stroke his own and mother's reflection with his fingers.
  • Individual syllables "ma" can already form a complete "mother" especially when crying.
  • All completely objects that meet are tasted.
  • By the age of 8 months, the baby, as a rule, crawls confidently, and can explore the entire space of the house or apartment himself. It is imperative to "reinforce" your research interest. Leave a little toys or other entertaining objects in different rooms, let the kid "find" them.
  • Loves "games and obstacles", crawling under something, between something.
  • Plays while sitting. Can play for a long time (up to half an hour) with one thing.
  • Can crawl with a toy in hand.
  • Some kids (couches, armchairs).
  • Tries to flip thick pages for reading by himself and.
  • He takes large objects with both hands.
  • He looks for and finds hidden toys with pleasure.
  • Repeats sounds, words, and actions of adults.
  • Shows parts of the body and face (at home, at the mother, at the toy).
  • Knows how to crumple and tear foil, paper.
  • Crumples in hand, touches bright ones.
  • By the age of 9 months, the "finger grip" is being improved - when the child begins to take objects not all with a pen, but with his thumb and forefinger. This is a very important moment for the development of fine motor skills, you need to support these attempts in every possible way.
  • By the age of 9 months, the baby actively learns the surrounding space. He takes everything he can reach, tries to stick his fingers everywhere, to taste everything, everything that can be opened is to open and check what is there.

Note. It can often be seen that this cognitive activity meets resistance from moms and dads. The child constantly hears "do not go, do not take, do not, do not touch" and on business, and without business. In fact, there is not so much really dangerous in an apartment / house, especially for a 9 month old baby. These are sockets, a stove. Everything else is quite possible to organize so that the child calmly and safely satisfies his cognitive interest. Place a variety of safe items on the lower shelves of the cabinets. Where the child can stand (near low shelves, a sofa, an armchair), you can also put or hang something entertaining.

What toys does a child need at 6-9 months

  • (parents, be patient). It can be a drum, a metallophone, a set of bells, a pipe, an accordion, maracas, tambourines, etc. It is very important, when choosing instruments, to choose those that make clear, not fake sounds.
  • , carts, etc. The toy should be designed for the baby to crawl with it, sometimes leaning on it. Therefore, the toy is simply obliged to withstand a fairly large load.
  • Toys that you can, you can with sounds. These are all kinds of ducks, caterpillars, bees, etc.
  • Sets of cups and molds that can be folded into each other. The child will be happy to put one into another.
  • , bars, for the construction of turrets. You will build, and the baby will be happy to destroy. Later he will try to put the cubes one on top of the other.
  • of all possible shapes, sizes and configurations (the child will play with these toys up to 3 years old and more).
  • , for example, like Lego, only very large. Lego for kids.
  • Children's hammers (clubs) with a variety of impact sounds.
  • Toys in which you need something simple to open and close. Can be replaced with homemade ones (made of plastic or wood).
  • Simple toys, such as nesting dolls (nesting one into the other).
  • A set of children's tools (hammer, pliers).
  • All kinds.
  • Swimming animals for the bathroom.
  • Books with pictures and clear plots.
  • All "remain in force", only now the kid plays with them in a different way. He can collect them in, he can knock one on the other, he can try to push the rattle into various holes.
  • Developing tables. They represent a developing surface on stable supports. The child can climb on his legs, holding on to the table, and play on it. As a rule, on the surface of the table there are keys, handles that need to be pulled, turned, buttons that need to be pressed, and so on. At the same time, songs, music, different sounds can be heard. There may be numbers, by clicking on which the number itself is called. When choosing such a table, be sure to check that it has good stability.
  • It's time to start a small children's table and high chair for the child's activities and games. Many children enjoy playing with small toys on such a bed. When choosing, make sure that the table is made of safe material, with smooth corners, no splinters, etc. And always stable.
  • You can already buy, on which the child sits down and rides, pushing off with his legs. Not necessarily big cars, better ones in which the baby will be comfortable.
  • You can buy a children's bike that the mother can carry by the handle, and the child will get used to sitting in it.
  • Finger paint.
  • Bathroom paints (with which the kid can paint on the tiles, and then wash off).
  • Crayons (for the street and for the house).
  • Any caskets, drawers that can be opened and closed.
  • Locks with keys (large, easy to turn).

A baby at 6-7 months sits confidently, can independently reach the objects of interest to him. The kid is already able to react to the toy you named, even if it is the name of the doll. The toddler already understands how to hold a rattle correctly, he likes to turn over thick cardboard pages in a book on his own. At this age, most children erupt their first tooth and there is an urgent need for teethers. It is very important to purchase toys in a timely manner, because they have a positive effect on all areas of the baby's development. In this article, we will talk about what toys are needed for children aged 6-7 months and what criteria should be followed when choosing them.

Distribution of toys by their influence

You probably already know how important toys are for the development of babies. They have a positive effect on mental, sensory and physical skills, and also contribute to a great mood for the crumbs.

For a baby of 6-7 months, the whole variety of toys can be distributed depending on which area they are aimed at developing.

So we distinguish between the following options:

  1. Understanding of sizes and shapes, colors.
  2. Auditory and speech development.
  3. Development of tactile sensations.
  4. For the development of logic.
  5. For the development of fine motor skills.

Understanding sizes and shapes, colors

Pyramids are best suited for this purpose. For a baby who is 6-7 months old, those that consist of four rings are better suited, no more. The crumb will not be able to collect rings or cups in the correct sequence. Mom will help him with this. But turning it over so that everything crumbles is easy. Such toys will develop not only the understanding that there are the same objects of different sizes, but also that there are different colors.

But the cubes, represented by cylinders, cones, pyramids, cubes - contribute to the realization that there are also different forms. Although the little one is not yet able to build a tower, he can already study this toy.

During the game, it is important that my mother comments on the color of this ring of the pyramid, says that this ring is larger, but this is very small, and of course, she calls the geometric shapes. In addition to cubes, you can take a small ball to introduce the concept of a ball.

Auditory and speech development

The baby already picks up all kinds of sounds, he is pleased with his mother's speech. In his environment, toys with musical accompaniment are extremely important, they not only improve the hearing of the crumbs and teach him to love music, but also affect the development of speech. The main thing is that the sounds made by such toys are calm and melodic, and not harsh and loud. So they will only scare the baby.

The following toys are best suited for a 6-7 month old baby:

  1. Musical mobiles.
  2. Tweeters and rattles.
  3. Musical phones.
  4. Books with sound effect.

Development of tactile sensations

Based on the baby's acquaintance with the perception of various materials (wool, silk, cotton), different temperature sensations (cold, warm), as well as the hardness of objects. In this matter, my mother is the main assistant. She should take the pen of the crumbs and carry it over different objects, do not forget to tell the baby about what he is feeling at that moment.

The following toys are best suited:

  1. Development mats. They are an object on which different materials are sewn, in addition, there may be buttons (hard to the touch), and fluffy balls (soft when touched).

My mother sewed such a rug for her son. She sewed patches onto a small mattress. Then I sewed on the buttons (large, but of different sizes and colors), made the sun, clouds, flowers, butterflies, which were with Velcro, out of felt. With the expectation that the baby can independently tear off these objects, and then turn on ingenuity and stick them back, in the same place.

  1. Tactile books. Each page will give an idea of โ€‹โ€‹\ u200b \ u200bthe baby about different fabric textures.

Mom can either buy or sew such toys on her own. So she will be able to save a certain amount of money, and in many houses you can find different things from which you can cut different-surface rags.

For the development of logic

It is already important for a child at 6-7 months to pay attention to the development of logical thinking. The toddler must understand that a certain sequence of actions is necessary in order to achieve what he wants, he must be able to analyze the situation, compare different objects.

What toys will contribute to this in this age period:

  1. Pyramids. Give preference to toys consisting of 4-5 rings or cups, preferably in different colors.
  2. Sorter.
  3. Cubes. You can take toys of various types: plastic, rag, wooden. The child himself will not yet be able to play, build turrets, but the mother can still do everything for him, telling and explaining her actions.

My son had different variations of these toys, but at 6-7 months he liked the pyramid made of rings and wooden cubes the most.

For the development of fine motor skills

To improve fine motor skills, the following toys are suitable:

  1. Pouches that mom is also able to sew herself, stuffed with small balls, pebbles, legumes or cereals. The kid will already be able to independently hold such a toy and touch with his fingers, feeling the small objects inside him.

My son had a bag filled with peas. At 6-7 months, he literally did not let go of this toy.

  1. Rattles play an important role. The child holds, shakes such a toy and makes attempts to shift the rattle from one handle to another.
  2. Small balls. It will immediately be difficult for a child to understand how to hold a spherical object. However, then he will get the hang of it and understand not only how to take the ball in the handle, but also how to roll it over the surface.

During water procedures, it becomes necessary to use toys for a specific purpose. Thanks to them, the bathing process becomes fun and exciting.

  1. Rubber toys.
  2. Balls.
  3. Small boats.
  4. Suction cup toys.

Features of choice

The most important thing a mom should take care of is ensuring safety and fun while playing.

In addition, the following rules should be observed:

  1. Give preference to wooden and plastic toys. As for soft and rubber ones, you need to purchase exclusively high-quality products, toys made of synthetic material or filler, toys with a pungent odor are not allowed.
  2. Make sure that it is convenient for the baby to take the toy, so you need to take care of the correct handle at the purchase.
  3. Choose toys that create a certain sound. It can be simple tweeters or full-fledged music produced by a mobile.
  4. Be prepared for the baby to decide to try the toy and test it for strength. Do not buy fragile products and those from which you can bite off a piece with an almost toothless jaw.
  5. It is important to buy toys that you can click on, twist something, attach a part.
  6. A significant role is played by dynamic toys that are useful for

When equipping a nursery for our long-awaited baby, most of us either put off buying toys until the last moment, leaving them at the mercy of friends, or, on the contrary, buy up the entire assortment at our disposal. Meanwhile, toys for a baby, especially in the first months, are one of the most important sources of new information about the world, a tool for the development of consciousness and fine motor skills, which is directly related to the development of a baby's speech. That is why we have created for you a short guide with information about what kind of toys your child will need in the first six months of his life.

General rules for buying toys

Test the toy for strength and make sure that it has no small parts that can fall off and get into the baby's mouth, and sharp edges that can hurt you. The best option is toys in red, yellow, green and blue. It is their babies that are perceived first. Remember that at the same time the child should be surrounded by no more than 2-3 toys, which you will change every few days.

Remember that the child should be surrounded by no more than 2-3 toys at a time.

First month

In the first month of your baby's life, you will not need toys yet. But you can stimulate the development of the baby's vision by hanging several simple black and white images with geometric patterns... With their help, he will learn the ability to focus his gaze.

Second month

At this moment, your baby will begin to be interested in her immediate environment, so it's time to strengthen over his crib or changing table bright mobile(a movable structure with music and various figures), funny rattle or cardboard figurines(cubes, prisms, balls) with black and white geometric patterns. They will contribute to the development of the baby's eyesight and his ability to fix his gaze on a moving object.

Third month

Now is the time to start developing your little oneโ€™s grasping ability. For this purpose, perfect fit rattles and any other toys that you can take with your hand ( balls, fungi, plastic and rubber rings etc). Make sure you have different shapes of rattles at your disposal: fluted handle, ring-shaped, stick-shaped, and so on. Such toys can be both plastic and fabric. It is better if you have both at your disposal. Another necessary element of the nursery is developmental mat with arches... In addition, you will need a large beach or gymnastic ball, on which you can ride your child in the morning.

Fourth month

You will need some bright toys to catch his attention.

At this stage, your task is to reinforce the baby's interest in lying on his tummy and stimulate his desire to roll over. Therefore, you will need some bright toys that can attract his attention. You can use for this purpose tumblers, rattles and soft balls, bells or other sounding toys. Also, now is the time to develop tactile sensitivity. They will cope with this task perfectly. toys made from different fabrics, or simply set of different scraps(feathers, satin, fur, flannel and other materials). For the development of fine motor skills, purchase bright rag bracelets or socks with a bell that can be put on the baby's handle. Such a toy will teach the child to connect two handles together and touch one handle with the other. A month later, you will be fixing them on the baby's legs.

Fifth month

Toy of this month - cubes... They can be plastic, wood and even vinyl. Getting to know their rectangular shape will develop your toddler's grasping skills. To develop fine motor skills at this age, stock up on small balls(about the size of a ping-pong ball) , sticks and small cubes... It is better if all items are wooden. With their help, you will teach your child to transfer objects from hand to hand and make decisions. Another useful toy at this stage is the ring- teether, intended to be chewed during the period of teeth emergence. Give preference to products with a surface of varying degrees of ribbing and those that can be cooled in the refrigerator. In this case, they will help relieve pain when the first teeth appear.

Sixth month

At this age, the child becomes interested in playing picture books.

It's time to pay attention to the development of the baby's hearing, diversifying his life musical toys... They will teach the child to find the source of the sound, and can also stimulate his desire to crawl towards him. In addition, purchase bath toys... It will be interesting for your baby to play with them in the bath. At this age, the child becomes interested in playing picture books... They can be wooden, made of thick cardboard, rags and even vinyl. In addition, purchase also toys that include mirror, the child will study his reflection with interest.

In the next article, we will tell you about what toys your baby will need in the second half of the year.

Hello dear readers, guests, friends. Today I want to touch on such a topic as children's toys. There is no shortage of various and, as we are told, the most necessary toys on the shelves now. Sometimes you get the feeling that it is enough to buy more and very different ones and you can do nothing to your mother, but just hand the child an electronic bear or a singing cat and that's it! But is it really so? To understand this issue, I invited Yulia Matroskina, the author of the online school Learning by Playing, and a mother of three children. And now I give the floor to Yulia.

For a long time I thought about how to tell about toys for children from 0 to 6 months, erased the text several times and typed again: leave the items with the most necessary? to list only hits from scrap materials? give "advice" on the choice? It's not that and so. Children are different, conditions are different, relationships are different.

So I can only talk about my experience, period. No advice or opinion, here is just what I saw, meaningful and played with my three children. And here are the first provisions:

From 0 to life, the most important, the only fully developing toy for a kid is a living person, his smile, touch, speech, a lot of speech and a lot of touches. It's even cooler if such a living person turns out to be a child - a brother / sister, all at once :)) Now my youngest daughter is 1.5 years old and the best she has is an older brother and sister.

Most of the items that are really useful before and after a year are not toys at all from toy stores. For the most part, toys under one year old are marketing for adults. The universal craving to cognize this world in all its diversity cannot be sustained by any beautiful toy. An adult should try to enrich the child with all kinds of impressions, observing the baby, assessing his needs and thirst for sensations in each period of development.

No toy develops a positive emotional state. Only people can make a person a person.

Now let's try month after month to select toys that meet the needs of the baby.

From the middle of the first month of lifeyou may need:

  • sounding objects,
  • small items of "pure" colors.

Especially I say "objects", so that the essence is important here: to encourage the baby to respond to sounds and orientate himself by ear.

  1. So, sounding object maybe a bell, hidden in a container from a kinder surprise, and a specially purchased rattle, and a rustling packet from a pack of tea, it doesn't matter, you still need to have several such items with different sounds (to the same sound, the reaction will weaken and completely will stop).

When the child is free from the desire to eat / sleep / change, in silence (without bright extraneous sounds), jingle / rustle the toy out of the child's field of vision, and when you see that the baby is quiet and concentrated, do the same in his field of vision. Two or three times in a row, there is no more sense, this is a reaction - it fades away, as does interest in the same sound. I remember the packaging of wet wipes rustling well, and a pack of dryers ๐Ÿ™‚

Over time, the child will catch a sounding object with his eyes, and when this happens, the object must be slowly moved down-up / left-right.

  1. If you have older children, there are several of their toys to choose from. items of primary colors(I wrote above "clean" ones, meaning that red should be red, and blue should be blue, and not gray-brown-crimson speckled and with stripes, such objects are harder for the baby to catch with eyes). If this is the first child, then buy toys with which it will be interesting for him to play even after a year, for example, a set of blocks of primary colors.

The same as with sounds: if the baby is not busy with the desire to sleep / eat / change clothes, then attract his attention, for example, with a red ball / cube, if the child has fixed his gaze on the toy, move it left-right / move it closer. Again, 2 times in a row, there is no more sense, the reaction fades away.

What subjectsis it worth getting by the second month of life?

It's time to collect all the useful stuff in a separate box, I tell you:

  • white paper, black marker, light balloons, laces, ribbons.
  1. Why laces / ribbons? We will develop hands... When you touch the baby's palms, the grasping reflex is triggered, so we need it. Wrap your index finger, for example, with a lace and place it in the child's palm, first one, then the other, make such movements as if you want to free your finger, over time the child will not only squeeze his palm, but in the second month he will learn to hold the grip for as long as a few seconds ๐Ÿ™‚

So prepare the toys: put 5 - 6 cotton swabs together and wrap with a ribbon, and the other five with a cord, and the third with a bandage. The ability to drag to the mouth and gorge itself on cotton wool is not yet available, and tactile sensations for the palm are useful. You can insert various light objects: caps from felt-tip pens, thin syringes (without a needle, of course), fabric rollers (fold a small cloth and wrap with thread), etc.

  1. Now about toys interesting for eye... The kid is interested not only in catching the object, but also looking at it. And the first thing little eyes like to do is catch contrast. So it's time to offer black and white toys.

Now I will again tell you what you can do yourself. By ourselves, because then the toys will really meet the needs of the child, there will be a lot of them and at a low price.

Take a thick black marker / black paint and paper (if A4 size (a regular sheet of office paper), then cut it in half). We google "black and white pictures for newborns" and draw one drawing on each card (circles / simple face / square / lines ...). It is good to put older children in prison for this work - it will be good for everyone.

You can show such drawings to a baby 1-2 pictures at a time, if you catch it with your eyes and focus on the picture, you can move to the sides / remove-zoom in.

We take light balloons (we inflate not to the limit, otherwise kaaaak will burst), also draw circles, dots, squares and stripes on it with a marker - we hang them over the bed on a ribbon stretched across. It is good to draw, for example, 6 balls, and hang two different ones every day, change them.

In the second month of life, the baby can be hung mobile over the crib. This is a very controversial thing for me. At two months old, it can still be difficult to keep track of fast moving objects or toys can be hung so that an adult is beautiful, and a baby sees flickering, don't understand from what angle, music can quickly get bored, and even when children sit in cribs, they start to overturn everything. to myself.

My children quickly got used to the music, and they began to creep out that if these sounds were heard, then they were put in the crib alone, and my mother left, i.e. very quickly, the sound of the mobile began to be perceived as the cause of loneliness.

I am not against mobiles at all, there are decent examples, just before buying you need to look at the mobile through the eyes of a child, i.e. below, make sure that it has pleasant sounds with adjustable volume, and, preferably, that it was possible to transform the mobile for further games.

So, the baby is already three or four months old?

  1. Rustling, ringing, cracking and knocking with various objects, remember? We add new sounding toys / hide the bored ones for a while and watch how the child searches for the source of the sound. Now he is already quite large, he can control the muscles of the neck and turn his head to the sound. The child turned his head towards the sound, did he find a toy with his eyes? Give him the opportunity to grab her, pull her to him.

In general, not a single main game disappears completely, it just changes. For example, Quaps has a series of "Guess Where" toys, you can hide them in their secluded places and then look for them by sound, for kids who have learned to sit just cover such a toy with a small towel. The very meaning of the action - to search by sound, starting from the first weeks of life, simply becomes more complicated.

  1. I just bought a gymnastic ball (with horns, they will come in handy when the child grows up) when I was three months old. The list of exercises and fun with it is a separate story, but a thing, subject to proper health, is necessary and useful up to 99 years old)))
  2. A developing rug with arcs at this age may come in handy, but its presence as a mandatory toy is a big question for me. The only good thing is that you can hang toys on the arches so that the baby touches them with his hands, and, which is very important, with his feet. However, if you can in another way give the child the opportunity to reach the hanging toys with his hands and feet, then great.
  3. Stretching / pendants / rattles in the stroller - this was a must-have for me: I put covers on the wheels of the stroller and rolled the stroller into the kitchen, I could put a child in it at home and give him the opportunity to develop, and to rest for myself.
  4. Several puzzle rugs, connecting with each other, too, I consider an ideal purchase at this age. With them, it is so easy to make a safe play space on the floor for the child. Here it will be great to lie on your stomach and reach for toys, learn to roll over from side to side, crawl, itโ€™s not scary to fall and an adult fits comfortably side by side. My friends with twins laid part of the living room with such rugs from the sofa to the opposite wall, there was enough space for everyone to play, while you could lie on the sofa next to it and even take a nap ๐Ÿ™‚

If you initially choose a rug with roads, then it will be possible to carry cars on it for many more years, and in age to get it when you want to practice somersaults. In general, the thing!

  1. When the child can already hold a light object in his hand and bring it to his mouth, it is important to choose the right teethers... They should be:
  • light and safe, because hand movements are not yet under the control of the child and heavy, or objects with additional solid elements, and strive to fly to the forehead,
  • compact, since the main purpose of such a toy is to get into the baby's mouth, which means that the chewing elements should be close to the baby's cam,
  • pleasant and elastic, biting plastic is very uncomfortable :))

I marked the Pigeon teethers for myself.

Five months.

  1. The most useful thing at this age will be to master a large play space, preferably part of the room. In general, the earlier the child is on the floor (puzzle mats to help), the more actively he will develop. Space is needed not only by the child, but also by the toys.

Take a large transparent plastic bottle (all labels must be torn off from above), put bells, nuts, kinder packages inside, screw the lid tightly and let the baby reach it with his hands / feet: firstly, there will be noise when pushed, and secondly, it will roll back , which means you can get to it again and it's fun. So no playpen or crib space will provide speakers for such games. Do you agree?

  1. And how interesting it is to study your body! And how important it is! No matter how funny it was for adults, catching your feet, chewing your toes is a valuable experience for brain development. To attract the child to the study of their hands and feet, there are socks with funny faces and bracelets on the wrists on sale.

Take a closer look. Here, too, it is worth considering whether a purchased item can be useful. Funny socks are fun, but is there any point in them, the sensitivity of the feet is blocked. This means that the signal to the brain will go from touching is not at all the same. The bracelets, all I saw, were Velcro. Now they scratch, then in the washing machine, these Velcro are spoiling something, I really do not like them.

Thick elastic bands for hair behave perfectly in such games: they do not crush the wrists, they are soft, bright. You can put strings on them.

  1. Yes, and of course, five months is the age when your hands finally obediently pull everything into your mouth. Hooray! yes, hurray, because the more different tactile sensations the language receives, the better the speech and intellectual development of your child will be. So we happily remove dangerous objects out of sight and slip in pure pleasures: correct (read above) teethers, laces with knots, rags with ribbons.

I remember my friend's mother bought a set for stringing wooden beads, strung them on a string and tied them tightly. The result is beautiful beads with different shapes!

And in conclusion, I want to say once again: the only full-fledged developmental toy is a loving person nearby, using just everything at hand for playing with the baby. There are many hugs, hands, voices, smiles, and the toy is the whole world.

Best regards, Yulia Matroskina,

Thank you very much Yulia for a very interesting article! And now I invite you to talk in the comments about which toys you think are the most important between birth and 6 months!

P.S. This article is copyrighted and entirely intended solely for private use, publication and use of it on other sites or forums is possible only with the written consent of the author. Commercial use is strictly prohibited. All rights reserved.

Your baby grows, the accuracy of his movements develops, he learns to sit, crawl, stand, and some children learn to walk.

Any object in his hands becomes a toy, be it mom's comb or dad's watch. The main thing is that we do not forget about safety: nothing sharp and small should not be in the reach of the baby, especially without your supervision.

Toys for children from 6 months to 1 year old cannot but be educational, because develops a child of this age absolutely everything.

But what to buy if your eyes run wide? This is what I will tell you about in this article. By the way, toys for children of 3 months, which I have already written about, are all also interesting and useful for a child under one year old.

Developing game center

Developing play centers are a great gift for a child of 6 months and older. They come in the form of tables, gurneys, tablets. They can stand alone or be attached to the bed - in general, for every taste and color.

Usually they have a lot of buttons, knobs, levers, sound elements. The main thing is that the buttons are easy to press, and the levers are switched. After all, the hands of the crumbs are still very weak.

We did not have such a center. I donโ€™t think this is a must-have toy. Although it would probably have freed me up a little time while the child is busy with her.

Some children crawl and reach for everything that lies in his field of vision. It is more difficult to interest others, and then toys that walk or ride come to the rescue.

We had three of them. The most beloved is a lamb. We've been playing with her since 4 months. Inexpensive, indestructible. She fell so many times! And what did Antoshka not do with her! He is already 4 years old, and the sheep is still alive.

Educational toys

It's funny, because, as I already wrote, all toys develop a child. But for some reason, it is the toys of the next plan in stores that are most often called developmental.

They can be: with squeaks, rustles, moving elements, soundtrack. Some even teach the child different concepts.

To make it clear what is at stake, I give links to those toys that we had or those that I saw from friends and liked them. This is not all. Some, unfortunately, are no longer on sale. All of them were in great demand from his son. My personal favorite is the vibrating giraffe. He hung on the crib until he was 4 years old.

Suction cup toys

Suction cup toys can be attached to a feeding table or any hard surface.

It is convenient to distract a child with such a toy while waiting for food.

In order for the suction cup to hold well, it must be wetted.

Musical instruments for the little ones are not only entertainment. They contribute to the development of hearing, attention, concentration.

Of course, it's too early to buy pipes at this age. But the following toys are of interest to children from about 8 months:

  • Piano for the little ones. With melodies recorded on it and easy-to-press buttons (Ozone, My-shop).
  • Xylophone or a metallophone (Ozone, My-shop).
  • Maracas(Ozone, My-shop).
  • Tambourine(Ozone, My-shop).
  • Bell.
  • Music Box... We have a box of tea, but the child himself at this age will not be able to start it.
  • Sounding hammer(Ozone, My-shop).

Bath toys

Perhaps one of the most important acquisitions for a 6 month old baby is bathing seat.

This is a very handy thing. The child is no longer interested in just lying in the bath. This highchair will help your little one to maintain a sitting position and play with water and toys. And the suction cups will not allow the seat to move.

I see no reason to buy something expensive. After all, the child will have something to play with in the bathroom. And pay 3000 rubles. (in Ozone) for a couple of additional elements on the chair - a dubious pleasure. The chairs in My-shop are cheap, with a wide range of colors.

What a bathing without boat? This is a toy that will serve a child for many years, but is quite inexpensive (except for those that are at the same time, for example, a sorter).

At this age, relevant bathing books... We have this (Ozone). In addition to the bathroom, it is convenient to โ€œreadโ€ them in the kitchen, it is not a pity to stain them with food, because such a book is not afraid of water. And some change their color on contact with water.

You can read more about toys for the bathroom in the article "Games in the bathroom".

Other useful toys

  • Bobblehead(Ozone, My-shop). It doesn't matter if you have a boy or a girl. We study parts of the body, face. We put to bed, we feed, etc.
  • Pyramid(Ozone, My-shop). Glass and with rings. First, the child learns to take off the rings, then to put them on in any order, but he will follow the correct order after reaching 1 year.
  • Balls(Ozone, My-shop). Rubber, inflatable, soft, plastic. Different sizes.
  • Soft cubes(Ozone, My-shop). Safe and lightweight. Of course, a 6-month-old baby will not build turrets from blocks. But to destroy - with great pleasure.
  • Toy cars... Inertial and conventional. Strong, lightweight, no removable wheels or other small parts.
  • Maze with beads (Ozone, My-shop). Develops fine motor skills, attention, spatial thinking.
  • Development board with doors, locks, buttons, etc. I talked about it in the article "Do-it-yourself board." Antoshka has been playing our business board at the age of 8 months. And before that, I watched very carefully how my husband did it.
  • Books... I reviewed books for children under 1 year old.
