Christmas carols are interesting for teenagers. Costumes for carols. Simple and short Russian folk carols, texts

Carols are ritual songs that are sung, including on the night before Christmas. These are songs with wishes of health, happiness, wealth, and a good harvest. Caroling is an old folk tradition that was especially widespread in villages and towns.

The history of caroling in Russia was originally associated with pagan gods. Previously, they used to go caroling on the winter solstice. For the Slavs, this very day was the birth of the Divine - the Sun. Carollers walked the streets, sang ritual songs and announced the birth of the Sun to everyone. Later, with the penetration of Christianity, caroling was timed to coincide with the Nativity of Christ. So, biblical motives appeared in carols, and people began to praise the birth of Christ.

The essence of Christmas carols is to announce the birth of the Savior to all people. The mummers (that is what the carolers were called) knocked on every house and called the owners with caroling songs. The owners, according to custom, had to give something from their festive table.

Particular attention was paid to costumes: the mummers were dressed in fur coats and sheepskin coats inside out, animal masks were on their faces, and bags for collecting gifts were in their hands. The highlight of this tradition is carol songs. In the words of carols, Christ is praised, and congratulations and wishes for good are sung.

Carols lyrics and carol songs

Kolyada, kolyada
Open the gate
Get out the chests
Serve the patches.
At least chop
At least a penny
Let's not leave home like this!
Give us some candy
Or maybe a coin
Don't regret anything
Christmas Eve!

Kolyada, kolyada,
Who will not give a pie
We are a cow by the horns
Who will not give crumpets
We are bumps on the forehead,
Who will not give a patch,
Tom's neck on the side.

The carol came
Christmas Eve,
Give a cow,
Oil head.
God forbid that
Who is in this house.
His rye is thick,
The rye is squeezed.
He is like an ear of octopus,
From the grain of his rug,
Half-grain - pie.
Would the Lord endow you
And living, and being,
And wealth.
And create for you, Lord, even better than that!

An angel came down to us from heaven,
And Jesus said was born.
We came to glorify him,
And congratulate you on the holiday.

We sow, we blow, we sing,
Merry Christmas!
Glorify Christ,
Give us some treats!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and Epiphany and don't forget to press the buttons and

Christmastide begins on January 6 and ends on January 18, on Epiphany. Christmas divination is distinguished by special accuracy and depth of predictions. Everything...

Fortune-telling on Christmastide has been considered the most accurate and exciting since ancient times. Christmastide lasts from 6 to 19 January. ...

Many ancient traditions are associated with the celebration of the Nativity of Christ, one of which - the performance of Christmas carols - is especially popular with children.

Christmas Carols are glorious songs, a kind of Christmas carol. Their main goal is to wish for health, wealth, and also to praise the Infant Christ and his Most Pure Mother - the Virgin Mary.

At present, this wonderful and kind tradition is fading into oblivion. In Russian villages, you can still find noisy youth singing cheerfully to the owners of the house, but in cities, this entertainment is mainly for children who go from door to door collecting sweets for wishes of well-being in the coming year.

But we are sure that interest in Christmas carols will still revive, so we have prepared the best Christmas Carols for both the smallest children, children of primary and secondary school age, as well as for adolescents and young people.

God will forgive all of us sinners,
Faith in a miracle will reward!
Meet us soon
We will continue our story.
You will put us at the table,
Treat yourself to a treat!

People do miracles!

We will visit all the houses
Our feet are frozen
Run along the paths for a long time.

Open the doors for us
We walk through the villages.
They have done a lot
We are not tired yet,
We continue to work
Just so as not to catch a cold
Moms that didn't worry
We were only admired
That they collected the whole bag
It contains both butter and honey.
We wish you all many years
And well-being,
So that business flourishes,
You will be lucky!

For an outfit and a scarf.

Brought a star in the sky.
We go home
We sing songs here and there!
The hostess is kind
Open the gate!
We come in peace
The songs have been brought to you.
About health and wealth,
About good and peaceful brotherhood.
We will sing to you loudly
To play the pipe,
Beat the tambourine hard
Talk about kolyada.

So that the head is bright!
Give me a piece of the pie
So that my son does not get sick!

Cut off the edge for us.

So that the cattle would breed,

And we sing about the miracle to everyone!
Our Savior is already born
Our redeemer from sins!
Have fun don't be bored
Give us gifts!

Let the cheese come to our doorstep, come on sweets!

You can give us a loaf of bread -
You will be famous here and there
If you pour milk,
You will not be lost in a year!
Well, still give a nickle -
You will be a master in business!

* * *
Frost outside the window, we arrived on horseback,
Kolyada caught up with us
I brought you to the gate.
You are the owner, meet us
Come on with the treats!
You will notably live
And do not grieve from troubles.
Saltsa, bring cheese,
Ask for a miracle in our house!
Give us a ruble in our hands -
And there will be no loss!
Give candy in your pockets -
Forget about the pills -
We bring happiness to everyone and sing Christmas carols!

Open the gate!
Arrange for us as soon as possible,

About carols and traditions of their performance

Carols date back to the days of paganism. There are several versions of their appearance. There is an assumption that in ancient times, even before Christianity, carols were directly associated with the cult of the Sun. In those days, people's lives directly depended on the amount of the harvested crop. In fact, carols were originally an appeal to pagan gods, to the forces of nature. Their main content is the wish for a rich harvest and well-being in the new year.

After the adoption of Christianity, ordinary people gradually transferred the caroling ceremony to Christmas. The songs themselves have changed. Now, instead of referring to pagan deities and nature, biblical images were glorified. As a rule, the rhythm of the songs was uncomplicated, which made them easy to remember. They started caroling from Christmas night until Epiphany. Both adults and children came out to sing songs.

Carollers walked around the village, chose a house and, stopping under the windows, began to praise the owners. They played out whole performances: they put on costumes, masks, memorized poems and songs in advance. And if something was forgotten, then, under the general laughter, they added their own. The owners did not skimp on treats, which, under the general noise, were folded into large bags prepared in advance. It was customary to generously present guests. The carolers ate everything together at the end of the day. They believed that the more caroling people look into the house, the more prosperous life there will be in the new year.

The goat was considered one of the symbols of the holiday. People believed that she would be able to ward off evil spirits from home and contribute to well-being. Usually they chose the most active and cheerful guy, who was dressed up in a goat costume. And he was already dashingly dancing in front of the owners of the dwelling and other carols. It was believed that the more interesting and fun it is to spend this holiday, the more fertile and successful the next year will be.

After the Holy Supper on January 6, children and adults dress up in bright costumes, go from house to house and sing Christmas carols. The mummers are invited to the house, treated, and thanked for the performances with sweets and money.

In order not to miss the mark on Christmas Eve 2018, plan your performance in advance.

We have selected the coolest Christmas carols for adults and children, which are easy to learn, even if you don't manage to do it, they can be used as a Christmas greeting.

Christmas carols, short and funny: what is the tradition, how to carol?

Caroling - singing special holiday songs - has always accompanied Christmas. Carols are ritual chants. They traditionally contain congratulations, sincere wishes for well-being, wealth and health, as well as the demand for treats. As a rule, young people and children took part in caroling.

They walked in whole groups, sometimes quite large, from house to house, carrying with them a special symbol - a star. The mummers were also present, wrapping themselves in animal skins, putting on homemade masks and even horns.

With rare exceptions, carols were greeted with joy, believing that their wishes for health and a generous harvest would come true.

Therefore, the guys did not leave empty-handed, their bags were always full of gifts. They gave mainly sweets, but some owners did not skimp on other products and even money.

It is customary to carol on Christmas Eve. This is the evening of January 6, or, as it is also called, Holy Evening. But, of course, you need to learn the carols in advance. There are also New Year's carols now, as well as mixed ones, in which they congratulate you on both holidays.

Songs are accompanied by dances, comic scenes are played out. And whoever does not let the carols into the house or drives them away, he voluntarily renounces all these potential benefits.

This is done in the evening. And in the morning they again go to congratulate everyone on the holiday. They take grain with them, which is scattered around the house.

Caroling can start from the New Year and continue right up to the Epiphany of the Lord. Many modern authors pay attention to composing Christmas songs and some of them are becoming quite popular, but it is the old carols that we inherited from our ancestors that are of the greatest value.

Christmas carols, short and funny: texts

Carols are notable for their beauty and melody. In addition, they have a special, ancient power. After all, many people still believe that the wishes sounded in these Christmas carols will certainly come true and that thanks to such chants, even fate can be changed.

Who knows, maybe that's why the Slavic carols were scattered all over the world.

Christmas carols for children have some peculiarities. They should be simple, straightforward and not too long. And, of course, there shouldn't be any "adult" hints in them.

How many aspen trees,
So many pigs for you;
How many trees
So many cows;
How many candles
There are so many sheep.
Happiness to you
The owner with the hostess,
Great health,
Happy New Year
With all the family!
Kolyada, kolyada!

Merry Christmas -
We wish you sober thoughts
So that the Earth does not sway
And the soul enjoyed it !!!

The carol was born
Christmas Eve,
Over the mountain behind the steep
Across the river, beyond the fast,
Over the mountain behind the steep
Across the river, beyond the fast
There are dense forests,
In those woods the lights are burning
The lights are burning blazing
People are standing around the lights
People are caroling:
'Oh carol, carol,
You happen to be, kolyada,
On the eve of Christmas'.

Congratulations on Christmas,
We came here with kindness,
You give us a little,
Pie on the track
For happiness to come to you,
So that you are lucky in everything
So that the Lord gives health,
We carol, from sadness!

Caroling, caroling
I will go to any hut.
I will ask the hostess
Come on sweets.
And cookies and sweets
And sherbet with nuts,
And halva and chocolate,
Pastila and marmalade
Delicious cake
Sweet ice cream
We ourselves will eat
And treat each other
And the hostess, and the hostess
Remember with a kind word!

The sparrow flies

Twirls its tail

And you people know

Cover the tables

Receive guests,

Meet Christmas!

It's like frost outside

Freezes nose.

Doesn't tell me to stand for a long time

Tells to submit soon

Or a lukewarm cake

Or butter, cottage cheese,

Or a spear of money,

Or a ruble in silver!

Christ the Savior

Was born at midnight.

In a poor place

He settled down.

Over that place

The star is shining.

Christ the Master,

On your birthday.

Give to all the people

Peace and forgiveness!

Caroling, caroling,
So I can smell the smells.
Don't forget to pour me
And then give me a bite!
Congratulations on the Christmas carol
And I wish the owners
To have prosperity in the house
And everything was smooth in the family!

Kolyada, kolyada,
Christmas Eve!
Auntie kind
Butter pie
Don't cut, don't break
Give it quickly
Two, three,
We've been standing for a long time
Yes, we will not stand!
The stove is heated,
I want a pie!

Good evening, good people!
Let the holiday be merry.
We congratulate you on Merry Christmas.
We wish you happiness, joy!
Generous evening, good evening!
Good health to good people!

In Kolyadki it is sung about the Great Miracle
We are familiar with his face from birth.

That he was born and lived among us,
We all remember at Christmas hour.

With the teaching, the Teacher was sent to our world,
For sinners, a kind and wise Savior.

He was born and lived in the name of the people,
He was the eternal guardian of our kind!

Let's raise our glasses to the glory of Christ,
Praise be to his courage, his kind word!

Let the Son of God keep us forever!
Be gallant, faithful to him, man!

We sow, we sow, we sow!
Merry Christmas!
Congratulations to all from the bottom of our hearts,
We wish them success!

Caroling, caroling
I will go to any hut.
I will ask the hostess
Come on sweets.
And cookies and sweets
And sherbet with nuts,
And halva and chocolate,
Pastila and marmalade
Delicious cake
Sweet ice cream
We ourselves will eat
And treat each other
And the hostess, and the hostess
Remember with a kind word!

I sow, I sow, I sow,
I wish you happiness, joy.
To ugly in the field,
So that it doubles in the barn,
So that the kids grow up
To get the girls in marriage!

A carriage comes to us
On the eve of Christmas.
Asks, asks for a kolyada
At least a piece of the pie.

Who will give a cake to a carol,
There will be one in every way!
That cattle will be healthy
The barn will be full of cows

Who will squeeze his piece
The whole year will be lonely.
Will not find luck, happiness,
The year will be washed in bad weather.

Do not regret the pie
And not something you will create a favor!

We sow, we sow, we sow,
Merry Christmas!
So that you are healthy
Many years to live!

Kolyada, kolyada!
Give us some pie
Or a slice of bread,
Or half a dollar money,
Or a chicken with a crest,
Cockerel with a comb!

Kolyada, kolyada,
We open all the houses
All windows, chests,
We give sweets and pies
To be good for you,
Say thank you to heaven
God will give health to all of us,
After all, he is good for this!

Shchedrik is generous!
Give a dumpling,
A cup of porridge,
A circle of sausages.
And still a little -
Give me lard!

Caroling, caroling
We wander from family to family
We will tell you rhymes,
Give us pies

Well, it would be better to have coins
We ourselves will buy sweets,
And also a handful of nuts,
And let's take a thimble of wine!

Kolyada-kolyadin!
I'm alone with my friend.
Knee-deep casing -
Give me a pie, uncle!

You, master, do not weary,
Give it as soon as possible!
And how is the current frost
Doesn't tell me to stand for a long time
Orders to submit soon:
Or pies from the oven,
Either a piglet of money,
Or a cabbage pot!
God bless you
Full yard of bellies!
And to the stable of horses,
In the calf shed,
To the hut of the guys
And bake kittens!

Carols, carols, carols -
Good with honey pancakes!
And without honey - not like that,
Give me some pies, aunt!

The carol came
Christmas Eve,
Give a cow,
Oil head.
God forbid that
Who is in this house.
His rye is thick,
The rye is squeezed.
He is like an ear of octopus,
From the grain of his rug,
Half-grain? pie.
Would the Lord endow you
And living, and being,
And wealth.
And create for you, Lord,
Even better!

We will call you by phone
With wishes and bows.
We came to carol
Merry Christmas to you!

Kalyadu in order
Who will give me the ruble everything
And it's not difficult for me to dance
For a ten in hand.

If there is a son in the house,
Give me the mistress / owner some cheese,
Since you have a daughter in the house,
I'll ask for a barrel of honey.

If there are more sweets,
I'll shelter myself in my pocket.
Well, mistress / owner, do not be shy!
Treat me quickly!

Let it be good for you,
Everything that you want is given
For thoughts to inspire
And dreams have always come true.

Merry Christmas holy you people
Peace be with you, let it be!
So that you do not know grief
What would have been in abundance!

Lord, gentlemen,
Master's wife,
Open the doors
And give us a gift!
Pie, roll
Or something else!

Rejoice, all people
On a big planet
God is with us! Love and Truth
Christ, children!

I sow, I blow, I sow,
Happy New Year!
For New Year, for new happiness
Wheat ugly
Peas, lentils!
On the field - in heaps,
On the table - pies!
Happy New Year,
With new happiness, master, hostess!

The magic night is coming
The night is holy
It brings light joy
Illuminating souls.

Open the gate
Walking carols
Christmas Eve
Happiness is bringing you.

To make your house full
And good and good,
It's good to live in it
Without worries and burdens.

Carols
From the ages today,
So that the star shines for you
The grace of the Lord.

Ding-ding-ding, the bells are ringing
Sons and daughters have come to you,
Meet the carolers
Greet us with a smile!

A carriage came to us,
Christmas Eve,
Give us good in our hand
And in return, get
Wealth, happiness and warmth,
The Lord will send him to you,
So ask yourself generosity
Don't be offended at us in anything!

The carol came
Christmas Eve
Who will give the pie
Tom is full of cattle shed,
Ovin with oats
A stallion with a tail!
Who will not give a pie
Tom's chicken leg
Pestle, and a shovel,
Humpback cow.

So that your house is cheerful,
Beauty bloomed all around
So that you give goodness,
They thanked you in the same way.

Dear friends, a bright holiday is coming soon - the Nativity of Christ. According to the old Russian custom, this evening adults and children (most often children) dress up in national costumes and go caroling - to congratulate their relatives, friends and acquaintances on Christmas. They usually sing carols.

Carols are traditional ritual songs that are often religious in nature, glorifying the birth of Jesus Christ. With the words of carols, they began to thank God for all the good things that happened in the old year, they praised the generosity and hospitality of the owners.

And today Chokmah made a selection of carols for children for Christmas, short and in verse. We present them to your attention.

Christmas carols for children

Kolyad-kolyad-kolyada -
Badam - "No!"
And fortunately - "Yes!"
Happy New Year, Merry Christmas:
We wish you peace to the house,
And health and goodness,
And warmth of the heart!
Kolyad-kolyad-kolyada -
Badam - "No!", And happiness - "Yes !!!"

Shchedrik-Petrik,
Give me a dumpling!
A spoonful of porridge
Sausages upstairs.
This is not enough
Give me a piece of bacon.
Take it out soon
Do not freeze children!

Kolyada, kolyada,
We open all the houses
All windows, chests,
We give sweets and pies
To be good for you,
Say thank you to heaven
God will give health to all of us,
After all, he is good for this.

Christmas carols

Kolyada, kolyada!
Give us some pie
Or a loaf of bread with bacon,
Or a chicken with a tuft,
Cockerel with a comb.
Happiness, joy to your home!

Tausen, Tausen,
We go to all!
Who will not give jelly -
I'll spray at the gate.
Who will not give a crumpet -
I am a sheep's armpit.
Tausen, Tausen!
Cook, grandma, jelly -
On a little pea
In the skull

Kolyada comes - it's a fairy tale
Happiness, snow, skates, sleds!
Lights on the tree and children's laughter!
And a common joy for everyone!
And now for our congratulations,
Relying on candy and cookies!

Christmas carols for children are short, in verse

Kolyada, kolyada,
Christmas Eve!
Auntie kind
Butter pie
Don't cut, don't break
Give it quickly
Two, three,
We've been standing for a long time
Yes, we will not stand!
The stove is heated,
I want a pie!

And God forbid that
Who is in this house!
His rye is thick,
Dinner's Rye!
He is like an ear of octopus,
From the grain of his rug,
Half-grain pie.
Would the Lord endow you
And live and be,
And wealth!

Today an Angel has come down to us
And he sang: "Christ was born!"
We came to glorify Christ,
And congratulate you on the holiday!
