  • crepe paper in various shades of pink and green
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun and glue
  • cotton balls
  • paints and a small brush (optional)

Instructions for creating a wreath:

1. Using wire, make a circle - the base for your wreath.

3. Cut a 1/2 inch wide strip of green crepe paper against the ridges (i.e. you will be cutting across the linear ridges of the crepe paper). Using hot glue, glue the end of one of these strips to your wire and wrap the wire around (approximately 7.5 centimeters).

4. Start adding leaves. Wrap the wire with the stem of the leaf and then 1 to 2 inches of green paper around the warp wire once or twice to start covering the wire with the stem. Add another leaf and repeat.
Repeat these steps adding more leaves, buds and flowers around the base. When you've completely filled in the circle, secure the end of your green paper strip with hot glue.

Instructions "How to make leaves":

1. Cut a 10 cm piece of flower wire.
2. Cut a 6cm strip of green crepe paper against the ridge (i.e. you will be cutting across the linear ridges of the crepe paper). Stretch the strip a little. Cut a strip of 4 centimeters.
Fold 3-4 rectangles together and cut out the shape of the leaves. The longitudinal dimension of the sheet should follow the ridge (i.e. the linear ridges of the crepe paper will follow the same direction as the long dimension of the sheet).

3. Apply a strip of hot glue from tip to tip of your sheet. Attach a 10cm piece of wire along this glue to give structure to the leaves and stem.

4. Repeat the creation process.
5. Paint patterns on the leaves and let dry (optional).

Instructions "How to make a bud":

1. Cut out 5cm strips of varying shades of pink on crepe paper. Stretch the strip a little. Cut off a strip of 5 centimeters. Paint patterns on some of the squares and let dry (optional).
2. Cut out the cotton swab. Make a cotton ball.

3. Next, cut off a 10 cm piece of wire. Apply hot glue to one end of the wire. Attach a small cotton swab to this end.
Place a cotton ball in the center of one of your pink crepe paper squares. Wrap the paper around the cotton swab, turning the edges and corners of the square down, tucking and turning it around the stem wire. Wrap the extra flower wire around the base with a cotton swab, pulling it tight enough to create a small bud shape.

4. Cut 1-2 strips of green crepe paper against the ridge (ie you will be cutting across the linear ridges of the crepe paper). The strip should be about 7.5 centimeters long. Hot glue the end of the strip around the base of the bud and wrap it around and down a few times to cover the flower wire.

5. Repeat the process for creating 6 buds.

Instructions "How to make a flower":

1. Follow steps #1-3 of the "How to make a bud" instructions. Create about 11 flower centers.
2. Cut 2.5 cm wide strips of various shades of pink crepe paper against the comb (meaning you will be cutting across the linear ridges of the crepe paper). The strips should be about 23 centimeters long. Use scissors and cut 1.25cm slits along the long side of the pink paper strips.

3. Wrap the fringe around the base of the flower. Then use your fingers to fluff up the fringe from the center of the flower.

4. Repeat the process to create 11 flowers.

1. Paper Leaf Christmas Wreath

Necessary materials:

Any thick paper (such as household paper or wallpaper cuttings)
- adhesive tape (preferably masking tape)
- heavy green paper
- silver spray paint
- scissors or utility knife
- glue

1. Crumple thick paper, wrap it with a whole sheet on top, securing the “snake” with adhesive tape.
2. Applying crumpled paper to each other and creating a shape with adhesive tape, bring the figure to the shape of a ring.

5. Glue the resulting leaves to the paper ring, cascading them. Continue the process until the entire wreath is completely filled with leaves. Hint: you can cut out smaller leaves from the remaining scraps of paper and hide the remaining "gaps" with them.

2. Origami Christmas Wreath

Such a wreath is assembled from identical modules folded using the origami technique. To fold the modules, take several squares with a side of 8-10 cm.

1. Fold the top corner to the middle.

2. Repeat on the other side.

3. Bend forward the corner of the bottom layer so that it covers half of the top triangle.

We will need:

Pencil,

- two plates of different diameters,
- a sheet of cardboard A4,
- 15-20 green napkins,

To work, you will need the following:

  • base circle,
  • several paper bags or a small roll of wrapping paper,
  • glue gun,
  • autumn decorations (acorns, leaves, cones, artificial or dried flowers).

1. In our case, a ready-made foam rubber circle is used as the basis for the wreath. Such a blank can be made independently by fixing the ends of a roller of a suitable size with glue so that the desired shape is obtained. Another option involves the use of foam rubber or synthetic winterizer in a roll, which should be tightly rolled up and fixed with threads. The base can also be made from a rolled thick towel or straw wrapped in cling film. As a last resort, you can always use an ordinary swimming ring for children.

2. Now you need to prepare the paper for further manipulations. Cut off the handles from the bags and separate the bottom and sides so that you get a solid sheet. Cut the same strips of paper about 2.5 centimeters wide and twist them into thin flagella.

3. Heat the glue in the gun and use it to carefully attach the paper strips to the foam circle. Your task is to fix the harnesses as tightly as possible, but aesthetically, so that the base is not visible anywhere.

4. When the wreath is ready, decorate it with autumn decor of your choice using the same hot glue gun.
Ready! It remains only to make a comfortable pendant from a beautiful ribbon or fabric.

Newspaper wreath.

For this project you will need:

  • base circle,
  • newspapers or book pages,
  • colored paper or scrapbooking paper
  • glue gun,
  • pencil.


1. From newsprint or, preferably, thick book pages, cut out the same round blanks with carved edges, resembling a flower. The same patterned patterns should be made from colored paper. Please note that for the fall wreath, you will need colored paper or scrapbooking paper in a yellow-burgundy color scheme. Using a pencil, give each blank a three-dimensional shape.

2. Using a glue gun, fix the blanks on the base circle, pressing them firmly with a pencil for better fixation.

3. Paste the whole circle with rows of paper “flowers”, alternating color and newspaper blanks, to get an interesting decor with an autumnal character.

4. The finished wreath can be decorated with a beautiful banner. To make it, use thick paper with a suitable pattern. Cut out a wide strip from it, figuratively shaping the edges, and fold the workpiece as shown in the photo below.

5. To put an inscription on the banner, cut out the letters from thick paper, oilcloth or any other suitable material, and glue them.

6. Fix the finished banner on the wreath with a glue gun.

You can also decorate a Halloween wreath in the same way, simply by adding a suitable inscription and a few frightening elements.

Materials and tools: soft wire with a large diameter brass, copper or decorative wire with paper wrapping, artificial flowers, dark-colored fabric (felt can be used), scissors, thread, decorative tape, instant dry glue, pliers (if metal wire is used).

Stage 1

A wire is taken and applied to the head around the circumference. The excess part is cut off. Both ends are twisted into each other in a spiral, as in the photo.

Stage 2

Do-it-yourself flowers for a wreath are laid out in the order they are attached. Circles are cut out of a suitable dark-colored fabric. All - different diameters, corresponding to each flower.

Stage 3

One by one, the flowers are glued onto the wire of the wreath with their own hands, starting with the largest one. On the reverse side of each, a circle of fabric is glued. It is important to apply a thick layer of adhesive on the wire, on the circles and on the back of the flower for a quality connection.

This decoration is made of corrugated colored paper. It can be purchased at any office supply store. The wreath is easy to assemble and original idea.

Materials and tools: corrugated paper in 7 different colors, soft decorative wire, glue, scissors, pencil, ruler, beeswax, brush.

Stage 1

Decorative wire is taken and cut into sticks 12.5 cm long.

Stage 2

Strips 2 cm wide are cut from green corrugated paper. It is important to cut them across the lines on the paper, and not along.

Stage 3

Glue is applied to the strips. It is better to do it in the form of droplets, and not a continuous strip.

Stage 4

Each wire is wrapped in a spiral with a strip of corrugated paper coated with glue. It is recommended that during the folding process, constantly hold a strip of paper, kneading and pressing it. When one paper strip is over, a new one is taken with pre-applied glue.

Stage 5

For future chamomile, orange paper is taken. According to the already iconic scheme, a stamen is made from it, as in the photo.

Stage 6

A 5/10 cm rectangle is cut out of white paper. The short side should correspond to the longitudinal lines on the paper.

Stage 7

The rectangle folds into an accordion. You should get five layers, five additions. The bottom side is trimmed at its corners, rounded off. And the top one is sharpened, as in the photo.

Stage 8

A strip of glue is applied to the lower left corner, on which a do-it-yourself blank with an orange stamen for a wreath is placed.

Stage 9

Clockwise, a white piece of paper is wrapped in a flower bundle.

Stage 10

The base of the flower is fixed with a strip of green paper, which is wrapped in a spiral by 4 cm.

Stage 11

Each petal is bent to the side. With the help of a pencil, they are given a rounded shape.

Stage 12

Making a poppy flower. A rectangle 2.5 / 7.5 cm in size is cut out of red or pink corrugated paper. Oblong strips are cut out on it parallel to the lines on the paper, as in the photo.

Stage 13

The resulting skirt is wound around the tip of the wire according to a familiar pattern.

Stage 14

A 7.5 / 14 cm rectangle is made from orange paper. It is folded into five folds into an accordion. An unusual shape is cut out, exactly as in the photo.

Stage 15

The pink poppy stamen is wrapped in orange paper that has been pre-applied with a bead of glue. The base of the flower is also wrapped in green corrugated paper, like the previous chamomile.

Stage 16

Each poppy petal is straightened by hand for a wreath on the head with their own hands. The edges of the paper need to stretch a little.

Stage 17

The beeswax melts. It is applied with a brush to flowers, petals and leaves. Wax will give the wreath a realistic look, the feeling of fresh flowers on the head. The flowers take some time to dry. Wax hardens slowly. It is better not to use varnish instead of wax. It has no elasticity after hardening - by negligence, any petal will simply break and the product will be damaged.

Stage 18

Oblong leaves are cut out of green paper. They are also waxed.

Stage 19

The resulting flowers are collected in small bouquets, wrapped in paper. Each bouquet leans against the main wire and is again fixed with paper.

The paper wreath is ready!

DIY autumn wreath

The theme of such a wreath on the head is inspired by autumn motifs. Walking through the park or forest, dry fallen leaves are visible under your feet. Their colors are so varied and attractive. Fantasy plays with ideas and pictures.

Materials and tools: maple leaves, thread, scissors.

Stage 1

For an autumn wreath, do-it-yourself leaves are taken only with a length and a strong stem. They should also bend well.

Stage 2

The first two sheets are taken and placed on top of each other with branches crosswise. The top branch is wrapped around the bottom and placed along it. This position is fixed with a thread.

The weaving technique is similar to weaving the well-known dandelion wreath.

Stage 3

Thus, each new leaf is placed on top, and its branch wraps around the previous one and is placed along all the others.

Stage 4

When the desired length of the autumn wreath is woven with your own hands, the tip is tied with a thread and inserted into the beginning of the first sheet.
