Materials and tools for velvet manicure

You may have seen volumetric patterns on the nails, created as if from velor fabric, this effect is given by velvet sand for nails. Today, this technology is at the peak of its popularity, so we can't help but introduce you to it. We will tell you how to make velvet sand nails with your own hands, show beautiful photos of such a manicure and an informative video tutorial.

About the technology of manicure with velvet sand

Velvet sand for nails is an acrylic powder of different shades, crushed to nanopowder. It can be applied on top of not dried gel polish or gel paint, as a result, a marigold effect is obtained on the nails. From above, the nails are not covered with a top to preserve the rough texture. In nail art, this material has gained great popularity, since the technology for creating a manicure with velvet sand is incredibly simple, and the rough surface imitating velor fabric looks original and non-trivial.

The cost of the material is cheap, its price varies within 60 rubles per jar of 7 g. You can buy velvet sand in specialized stores for nail art. A wide color palette allows the master to perform the most intricate design in any range. In addition, this material is transparent. It allows you to achieve a “sugar” effect and create a texture on the surface of the nail without affecting the color composition.

Ekaterina Miroshnichenko became the author of the manicure technology with acrylic powder, by the way, the famous ones are the fruit of the imagination of the same nail master. Ekaterina is the chief technologist of her own company E.MI, specializing in the production of manicure products. Initially, the technology involved applying acrylic powder to E.MI gel polish, but skilled craftsmen came up with a worthy alternative and applied sand on top of the gel polish, getting a similar result.

How to perform a manicure with velvet sand

Velvet sand on the nails, although it creates volume on top of the nail plate, it is comfortable to “wear” such a manicure. Outwardly, it seems that a manicure with velvet sand is short-lived and fragile, but if the technology is followed, such nail art will delight you for at least a week. We'll show you how to make it yourself.

Materials and tools for velvet manicure

To make the velvet sand on the nails look decent and the result is lasting, you need to combine it with gel polishes and gel paint. Ordinary varnishes are not suitable for this, since the powder will crumble very quickly from such a coating. In addition, a three-dimensional drawing with velvet sand on the nails is obtained due to the fact that the consistency of gel polish or gel paint is dense and thick, and ordinary varnish will not give such an effect.

So, for a manicure you will need:

  • Colored sand (acrylic powder) of the selected shade.
  • Gel polishes. For the execution of the simplest nail art, one color of gel polish will be enough, but if you want the pattern to stand out on the nail, take 2 contrasting shades.
  • Base for gel polish and top.
  • Ultraviolet lamp.
  • Gel paint. You can purchase E.MI gel paint, the use of which is provided for by the technology of Ekaterina Miroshnichenko, its price is about 450 rubles. Or you can look for a cheaper analogue, the cost of gel paint from other manufacturers is from 200 rubles.
  • Brushes. You will need a thin brush to draw the pattern and a fan brush to brush off excess acrylic powder from the nail.

Having prepared everything you need, you can start designing.

Step-by-step scheme for the execution of velvet manicure

Decide on the design: decide on which nails you will have a pattern, and which will remain only with a monochrome finish. The following step-by-step instructions will help you make a drawing with velvet sand on your nails:

  1. First of all, the nails are polished with a finely abrasive nail file.
  2. Then they are treated with a degreaser.
  3. The plates are covered with a base for gel polish and the hand goes into the lamp for a minute.
  4. Apply the selected shade of gel polish to the nails. In order for the coating to be dense and not translucent, it is necessary to apply it in 2 layers. Each layer polymerizes in the lamp for 2 minutes.
  5. The final layer is a top coat, then the hand is sent back to the lamp for 2 minutes.
  6. A drawing is made with a thin brush gel paint. You can make a pattern with gel polish, but it is more difficult for them to draw fine details. You can depict whatever you want: swirls or monograms, flowers and even simple dots.
  7. Powder is poured on a wet gel paint with a plentiful layer. It can be one color, or you can even create a gradient of shades that blend into each other.
  8. The hand goes into the lamp for 2 minutes.
  9. With a fan brush, you need to shake off excess powder. Manicure is ready!

As you can see, the process is very simple and the most difficult thing in it is the accurate drawing of the picture. The secret of an impeccable design is in following the rules for applying gel polish and selecting the shades of materials. Definitely worth a try!

Gradient manicure is being improved and updated with new, original ideas, while continuing to be a bright fashion trend.

The gradient on nails using gel polish is very popular among avid fashionistas (photo examples of work can be found in the portfolio of any professional master). Thanks to the texture and properties of gel polish, a gradient manicure can be done easily, quickly and accurately.

Gradient nail art is a type of French nail design that involves a smooth transition of close or contrasting shades from one to another. In a gradient manicure there are always borders between shades, but unlike a jacket, these borders are blurred.

The gradient is distinguished by its simple execution technique, and at the same time, by its impressive effect, which in its beauty is not inferior to complex design work. It can be done vertically, horizontally and even diagonally. Lovers of originality use the most incredible combinations of shades.

Gradient manicure is quite self-sufficient and does not require additional decor.

For gradient nail art, it is necessary to use gel polishes of the same texture and apply a coating of the same density. Pearlescent varnishes are suitable for perfect smoothing of borders. Gel polish is applied to short nails no more than two colors.

The main advantages of gradient manicure

A gradient on nails with gel polish (photos of design ideas are presented below) does not require large expenditures on materials and some skills. Any representative of the fair sex can easily make it.

Pros of gradient manicure:

  • simple execution technique;
  • universality;
  • a harmonious combination of your favorite shades (you can even combine absolutely contrasting colors);
  • spectacular appearance;
  • an inexpensive set of materials for performing a gradient;
  • opportunity to create a unique design.

Materials and tools for creating a gradient on nails with gel polish

The gradient on the nails with gel polish (manicure photos can be found on the Internet) is quite easy to do.

This will require some materials:

  • nail degreaser (dehydrator/primer);
  • manicure nail file;
  • base gel;
  • colored gel polishes;
  • top fixer;
  • nail polish remover;
  • thin brush;
  • sponge or sponge;

  • LED or UV lamp.

In some cases, cling film, foil, clinser may be needed.

How to create gradient nail art with gel polish and sponge

A manicure with a sponge can be made light and gentle, as well as bright and rich. Shades of gel polish can be combined in a variety of ways, with the help of a sponge, the transition between them will look smooth and harmonious.

The result of the coating depends directly on the choice of sponge. A large-pored sponge creates a fairly blurry gradient and transition between colors. Finely porous makes the color rich.

To make gradient nail art spectacular and persistent, you must follow the step-by-step instructions:

Gradient on nails with gel polish and brush

The gradient on the nails with gel polish (photo below) can be done with a thin brush. A flat synthetic brush with a rounded or straight tip will do.

Procedure:

vertical gradient

Vertical gradient manicure is done quite simply, if you know the basic nuances of its implementation.

They are the following:

  • for a vertical gradient, a thin and soft flat brush with a semicircular end is used;
  • to get a spectacular and harmonious appearance of a manicure, it is better to choose no more than two shades;
  • the brush is held as parallel to the nail as possible;
  • it is necessary to brush over the gel polish starting from the cuticle towards the end of the nail;
  • shading should be done strictly along the border.

The vertical gradient is universal and suits almost everyone. For a working and official setting, it is better to use gentle and light colors; for everyday life or a festive event, bright, saturated colors are quite suitable.

Actual colors this year are nude tones, for example, the transition from coffee to ivory. Trendy rainbow vertical gradient. A vertical gradient on mirror, chrome nails and a vertical ombre with glitter are considered fashionable. The vertical gradient with a moon manicure looks beautiful.

Step-by-step instructions for performing a vertical gradient manicure:

Horizontal gradient nail art

Horizontal gradient manicure is done with a sponge, sponge or brush. Three or more shades can be used for a horizontal gradient, which makes the design even more spectacular and attractive. You should not combine more than two colors if the nails are short, as this will visually shorten the length.

Horizontal ombre suits individuals who like to attract attention and have an original style. This design has no age, it suits both girls and older women.

Gradient on nails with gel polish. Photos of popular horizontal options.

The trend is a variety of shades for this design, from pastel to rich dark colors. The most relevant nude tones that look interesting in contrast with a bright color. It is also worth paying attention to berry shades.

To make a horizontal gradient nail art, you need:

simple gradient

A gradient on nails using gel polish can be done in the simplest way (a photo of a simple gradient can be found on the Internet), i.e. perform the transition of shades from finger to finger. Thus, you need to choose several uniform shades and cover each nail with a different color, drawing a gradient, for example, from pale blue to azure or deep blue.

This gradient is ideal for young girls who lead an active lifestyle. Actual shades are pastel. A gradient of cream, soft pink, caramel, light brown colors will look beautiful and discreet.

At the peak of popularity, calm tones: creamy yellow, mint, pale green, lilac. Dark shades are also in fashion: wine, chocolate, rich blue, dark green.

The way to do a simple gradient:

  1. Standardly prepare nails for applying a gel coat.
  2. Apply base and dry.
  3. Cover each nail with a separate shade in any order. The main thing is that it looks harmonious. You can start with the thumb, cover it with the lightest color, and gradually move to the little finger, which is covered with the darkest shade. You can do the hue gradient in reverse order. Dry the color coat completely under the lamp.
  4. Fasten with top.

classic gradient

Classic gradient manicure involves the use of two shades. They can be of the same color palette or contrasting. The classic gradient is most conveniently done with a sponge or sponge.

This type of manicure is universal, suitable for many images and events. There are also no age restrictions.

Actual colors are white, beige, pale pink, ivory, cream. Of the bright ones - purple, rich pink, orange, blue, green. The rainbow gradient is relevant for the summer season.

To make a classic gradient, you need:

striped gradient

To create a striped gradient, transitional straight or curved lines are made. The lines are made thin, with transitions that become darker with each application.

This design is suitable for both business women and romantic girls. Actual colors for a striped gradient are bright or saturated shades in combination with light and delicate tones. For example: rich orange turning into peach, and then creamy yellow turning into white.

Striped Gradient Technique:

glitter gradient

Gradient glitter manicure is simple:

  1. Cover the prepared nails with the base, dry it.
  2. Apply the base color to the entire area of the nail, also dry.
  3. Spangles are applied with a brush in a dense layer on the ends of the nails and smoothly shaded to the middle of the nail.
  4. Cover with top.

Glitter gradient is suitable for holiday events, parties, romantic dates. Shades are used that are relevant in the current season. The color of the sparkles matches the main color or belong to the same color palette.

geometric gradient

This nail art is distinguished by clear lines, a contrasting transition from one figure to another. Blurring of shades is not relevant here. As drawings, various geometric shapes are created on a gradient, which are made using ribbons, stencils, brushes. Often such a manicure is complemented with acrylic powder or shiny sand.

The geometric gradient uses both nude and bright tones. Nail art suits creative young girls and women who love originality and experimentation.

Actual drawings - rhombuses, triangles, lines in various variations, zigzags.

The geometric gradient is made according to the principle of a regular ombre, only using stencils or ribbons. Some masters prefer to draw figures with a brush.

air gradient

The air gradient got its name because of the technique of its implementation. It is done with an airbrush, a device that sprays paint in a thin layer under air pressure. The airbrush is used, as a rule, for a horizontal ombre. Paint is poured into the device, the compressor is connected and the varnish is applied in a thin layer on the nail plate.

Next, the color changes and is sprayed onto the ends of the nails so that a smooth stretch is formed. The color coating must be dried and covered with a top coat. The remains of the sprayed varnish are very easy to remove from the skin, just wash your hands. The airbrush makes not only a neat and beautiful ombre, but also saves a lot of time.

The air gradient is suitable for young girls and adult women. Shades can be used any of the current season.

chaotic gradient

This nail art implies a technique in which the borders of colors can be located anywhere on the nail, and the shades change direction. The main thing is that the transition between the boundaries should be smooth. A striking example of a chaotic gradient is the Skittles design.

This type of manicure is more suitable for bright and ambitious young girls. Manicure looks spectacular in bright colors. The coating technique is practically no different from the usual gradient. The only difference is that colored gel polishes are applied to the nail in a chaotic manner.

french gradient

The French gradient looks perfect on medium length nails. It is usually done in light pink and white, but other transparent shades can be used. White gel polish is applied to the tips of the nails, which smoothly changes into a different shade closer to the base of the nail. French is suitable for work, business meetings, as well as everyday life.

Technique:

  1. Cover the prepared nails with a pink or beige base, dry.
  2. Cover the middle part with a lighter shade and lightly blend with a sponge.
  3. Apply white color to the tips of the nails. Dry the color coating under the lamp.
  4. Cover with top.

Gradient Beverly Hills

The essence of this manicure is very similar to the classic jacket and Nude manicure. Light and pastel shades are used with a soft, barely noticeable transition. Pale pink, beige, light brown, cream, milky and white tones are relevant.

The Beverly Hills gradient is universal, suitable for any look and event.

The execution technique is the same as that of a French manicure:

  1. Cover with transparent gel polish nails, dry under a lamp.
  2. Using a stencil, apply brown varnish to the tips, dry.
  3. Then cover the entire surface of the nails with a light beige varnish and dry under a lamp.
  4. Fasten with top.

The Bright Skittles gradient suits energetic, bright girls.

Gradient for short nails

Gradient manicure also looks good on short nails. But for this it is better to use no more than two shades, so as not to visually shorten the length of the nails. It is recommended to apply a light color in the area of the base of the nail, a darker one - on the tips of the nails, slightly shading the borders of the shades.

The gradient looks good on almond-shaped and oval short nails. The combination of contrasting colors looks interesting.

Color selection

In 2018, pastel shades (pink, coffee, milky, etc.), sand, turquoise, mint, pale blue, cream, pale yellow are relevant for gradient manicure. Berry shades are also in fashion in combination with gold and silver. They experiment with black, rich green and blue colors.

6 ways to create a gradient:

French Gradient:

The technique of decorative coating of nails with varnish with a smooth transition of color or the so-called gradient has long been deservedly popular among fans of nail design. Masters are constantly coming up with something new and interesting, combining several techniques in one manicure. - this is one of the options for the nail industry, the creative design of which is preferred by an increasing number of fashionistas. With this method, the composition on the nail is created by the color transition of one geometric element to another. Not blur, but the clarity of the lines distinguishes this gradient from the classic ombre.

Options and tricks

trend this year is good because it is simple to do, and there are many ideas for implementation. There are several varieties of geometric manicure, when all nails are painted with geometric shapes on a gradient, or only one or two. For decoration, various shapes and lines are used that divide the nail into equal or asymmetric segments, zigzags. Color variations of the geometric design can be both classic and quite bright, contrasting. To create a drawing, masters use ribbons, vinyl or paper stencils for nails, or draw shapes and lines with a brush. In addition, a fashionable manicure is complemented with acrylic powder or velvet sand. The methods for applying the gradient are varied and which one to use depends on the master.

Who will suit the geometry of manicure

The geometric design of the nail design is suitable for everyday style, both for young girls and women with a creative start, who love everything new and creative, and are not afraid of experiments. Such a pattern optically lengthens the nails and helps to hide some imperfections. It goes well with various styles of clothing.

Geometric gradient options

Before applying a decorative coating, the nails must be treated. They should have the same length and beautiful shape.

diamond gradient

To make the drawing on the nail clear and beautiful, you need to make a sketch on paper.

Step 1 We apply a base base on the nails, dry it.

Step 2 We paint the nail with white varnish, dry it. We lay out two colors on the palette - white and any color, in our example a dark purple color. And each time, before applying a new gradient layer, we add a little purple to the white color. So we will get each time a shade darker than the previous one. It turns out a very harmonious gradient.

Step 3 So, add a couple of drops of lilac to white and mix well. With the resulting light color, draw the contours of triangles with a thin brush for the pattern (photo 2). Now we paint over the drawn triangles with the same color. We dry.

Step 4 Again, we mix the purple color into our original white polish (now light purple). We draw triangles in a checkerboard pattern, filling them with varnish (photo 3).

Step 5 Repeat these steps to the end of the nail plate, each time mixing more purple into white. Thus, a smooth color transition will be obtained, the pattern will be the lightest at the cuticle, and dark at the end of the nail. We draw triangles at the end of the nail with a pure dark purple color. Dry each layer.

Step 6 We complete the manicure with a matte top coat.

geometric gradient from center

Step 1 Apply a light color to the nails.

Step 2 Now start drawing the gradient from the darkest color. With a thin brush we make a diamond-shaped framing of the nail.

Step 3 We draw a rhombus with a lighter color of varnish along the contour, without painting over the middle.

Step 4 We draw a rhombus with an even lighter color, leaving an unfilled light rhombus in the center.

Step 5 We cover with a transparent top. Manicure is ready!

stencil patterns

The geometric pattern in this embodiment is applied through special stencils for nails. They come in different designs. Such stencils can be replaced with adhesive tapes. It can be done with both regular polishes and gel polishes. Consider the option with the usual varnish.

Step 1 Apply pink varnish on prepared nails and dry.

Step 2 You can make a pattern on all nails, or on one or two. Glue a stencil with triangles on the nails. Cut off the excess stencil with scissors so as not to interfere.

Step 3 With the help of a sponge, we make a transition in two colors. Next to the palette, put a drop of pink varnish and white, mix them in the middle. Wet with a sponge and transfer the gradient to the nails. More dry nails.

Step 4 Remove the stencil carefully. We cover all nails with a layer of transparent top.

Geometric print is always room for creativity and exclusive, two identical patterns will not work, this is exactly what many fashionistas like.

Geometric gradient: photo ideas

Recently, an interesting technique for applying gel polish is gaining popularity - a gradient. Consider its features and benefits in our article.

What it is

Gradient manicure (aka stretching, aka Ombre style) is a smooth transition from one shade to another. In the world of nail design, he appeared relatively recently, but has already won the hearts of many fashionistas. Now this type of coating is also in great demand and popularity.

Many ladies prefer this particular technology, because it allows you to use several colors at once. Such nails will always look fashionable, creative and successfully complement the stylish image of any fashionista. At the same time, it is worth noting that the border between colors is smooth, but not pronounced. Shades penetrate each other, complementing the previous color.

From the French "Ombre" is translated as "shadow". The word "gradient" is of Latin origin. However, no matter how you call this nail technique, the result will not change - the nails will be attractive and well-groomed.

There are several types of gradient. You can choose the option that suits you, which will look fashionable and attractive:

  • Vertical manicure. This option is a color transition from top to bottom. This design will look great on your nails, transforming them.
  • Horizontal option. Accordingly, the hue will change from left to right. Especially attractive with this technique will look like nails of medium length.
  • Original manicure. This option is a transition of shades from one finger to another. This nail design will look great even on short nails.
  • french gradient. With this technique, a white color is applied to the edge of the nail, which will turn into transparent towards the bottom of the nail. This option will look great on long and thin nails.

The main advantages of this technology include the following:

  • Simplicity and lightness. Of course, in order to masterfully create such a creative design, you should be patient, especially for beginners. With the help of practice, as well as high-quality reliable materials and tools, you can achieve professionalism over time, pleasantly surprise your loved ones.
  • Availability. You can purchase gel polish for creating this technique at any professional store. You will only need to choose the right color palette, choose your favorite brand and use the product with pleasure.
  • democratic value. You can buy cosmetic products at a bargain price. The optimal combination of the price-quality parameter will pleasantly surprise all ladies. You can save your family savings.
  • You can also save time. Now you will not need to visit expensive beauty salons, wait for an appointment with the right specialist. You can independently, at home, create a creative design with your own hands. Again, this will require regular training and quality products. With experience, you will be able to make the gradient smooth, beautiful and graceful.
  • Excellent mood. Design " ombre"- stylish and fashionable. It is ideal for any of your style. Well-groomed and attractive hands will be the key to success in business and the attention of others. All this will cheer you up and put you in a positive mood.

How to do such a manicure

If you are just learning the basics of manicure and have no idea how to make a gradient on your nails, the following information will be useful to you. There is nothing difficult in technology. You can create a beautiful nail design yourself. To get started, you will need to stock up on all the necessary equipment.

There are several ways to apply varnish. You can use any of them:

Sponge

With the help of a sponge, you can bring a creative design using the Ombre technique to reality. You need to take a few colors that suit or like you the most. Now it is worth varnishing part of the surface of the sponge with the desired shades. Apply slowly stripes of color that will be in contact with each other.

remember, that The sponge must be well washed and dried. The one with which you wash the dishes will do. It will need to be cut into small pieces first. Remember to protect your cuticles too. To do this, it should be closed with tape or smeared with PVA glue. At the end of the procedure, you can easily remove this layer and the varnish will not remain on the skin of your fingers.

Consider the various technologies for high-quality coating with a sponge:

  1. First, put a base on the nail plate which will dry under a UV lamp.
  2. Take the foil and make a few drops of gel polish on it close to each other. Now it’s worth mixing the substance together, creating a medium shade with a toothpick.
  3. Take a sponge and apply it to the varnish. Let her drink it. If you want to avoid unwanted bubbles on the surface of the nail, you should make the first couple of prints on the foil.
  4. Using gentle springy movements, transfer the gel polish to the nail. Do as many layers as needed to achieve the desired color saturation.
  5. It is worth noting that each such coating must be dried well under a lamp.. After the color suits you, apply the top and dry well in the lamp.

There is another option for applying gel polish with a sponge:

  1. Base should be applied first and dry it well under the lamp.
  2. Now take your two favorite shades and apply them directly on the nail plate end-to-end in a thick layer.
  3. Next, take a sponge and quickly blot the nail. This should be done easily, but with a little pressure. As the tone evens out, reduce the pressure. This way you can get rid of the bubbles.
  4. Do not immediately rush to dry the nail. Wait a little while the product takes the form of the nail surface. Take care of the rest of your fingers. If random bubbles appear, they should be eliminated with a toothpick.
  5. Then apply the second layer in a similar way.. Their number will depend on the desired effect, as well as on the materials used.
  6. After that, it is worth covering the surface with a top and fix under the lamp.

If you didn’t manage to create a smooth transition the first time, don’t be discouraged. Just lightly dust the color mixing area with clear glitter. This design will be even more interesting and creative.

Brush

You can also create a gradient with a brush. There are also several ways to help make a creative manicure. To do this, take a flat synthetic brush with a straight or semicircular end. Or is it better to use the one with which you apply the base. The main technology is as follows:

  1. It is worth choosing several shades of gel polish and cover half of the nail with each of them. Layers should be made thin so that it is easy to shade them.
  2. Now take a flat brush, soak it in the clinser, let it become wet. Now, with the help of light movements, swipe it from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. You need to hold the brush almost parallel to the nail surface. This is done so that it does not spoil the gradient, but smoothes it evenly. When you see that the transition area has become soft, you can send your hands to dry under the lamp.
  3. Now, using the same technology, it is worth applying a second layer and a third. Then the color itself will be saturated. Fix everything with a top coat and dry the surface.

You can create a style ombre» and using a fan brush. Of course, the transition will not be as smooth, but this will be the highlight of this design. You can quickly create the manicure you need at home. It's easy to do this:

  1. First you need to apply a base on the nail surface. Take the lightest shade that you will use in the gradient. Apply varnish in one or more layers. Now let everything dry under the lamp.
  2. The next step is to take the foil. Mix suitable shades on it to get an average color. You will apply it to the middle of the nail. This will be the transition area.
  3. A little lower almost at the very tip, apply the darkest shade. Now take a slightly damp brush and move it from side to side, lightly touching the surface of the nail. Do this until you get the desired effect.
  4. Now all this will need to be dried in a lamp..
  5. Then add a second layer and repeat the above procedure. Remember that the main shade is best applied to the upper area of the nail so that it does not overlap the gradient. Dry everything under the lamp.

For adherents of the classics, you can create an unusual jacket using a gradient. It is created similarly to the technologies described above. In this case, it is worth taking the classic shades as the basis. An experienced master will easily make your hands beautiful and attractive. Yes, and at home, you can independently make yourself a similar coating.

Design

It is worth noting that with the help of a gradient, you can create the most diverse design. We have already analyzed the horizontal and vertical options, which can be done with a wide brush or comb, as well as with a sponge.

  • This technique with sparkles will also look elegant. You can focus on your nails. Such a manicure will perfectly fit into any solemn event, a friendly party or shower family gatherings.

It should be noted that no matter which method you choose, you need to carefully prepare the nails for this procedure. To do this, first of all, it is worth giving the nails the desired shape and length. This is done with a soft nail file. The next step will be the correction of the cuticle. This is done without steaming in water.

To do this, you first need to soften the cuticle with a special tool, slightly pushing it back. Now take a buff and remove the shine from the nail surface. In conclusion, it is worth degreasing all marigolds, including the cut and cuticle. And only after the pens are prepared, you can begin the procedure itself: apply the base, gel polish, top, dry in a lamp.

  • Another common way to create a gradient is geometric.. It looks quite stylish and original, it will bring a fresh touch to your image. The design itself is done with a thin brush. To create it, you will need two shades. For example, you can take colored and white gel polish. It will be necessary to consistently dilute the colored shellac, creating lighter options. With the help of them you will draw geometric shapes.

Go from the lightest shade to the darkest. In this case, only a thin layer should be applied so that the gel polish does not spread. It is not necessary to dry each layer. Only after completing the whole process, the nails can be sent to dry under the lamp. One of the sought-after geometric gradients of this season is the rhombus. It looks fashionable, stylish and attractive.

In order for this design option to turn out clear and neat, you should use special stencils. However, it should be remembered that the structure of the gel polish is such that it can flow under the stencil. Be extremely careful and cautious. Hi all!

In this review I want to show you a set of colored acrylics, consisting of 12 colors.

Unfortunately, a couple of jars opened and fell apart during transportation (I think so).

There is no yellow left

Package size - 20cm x 15cm x 4cm

The jars are very tiny, but they are quite enough for me for home use. And the price is budget compared to the prices in our stores.

Here are the first workouts on tips:

How to make a manicure with velvet sand technique?

First, the nails are prepared for gel polish. Then the base is applied and dried in a lamp. After that, the required number of layers of colored gel polish is applied and each layer is dried in a lamp. After that, the top is applied, dried and the sticky layer is removed.

Now the most interesting. It is necessary to draw a pattern with white gel polish or gel paint and pour acrylic powder on the pattern without drying. Then dry in a lamp and shake off excess dust with a brush.

If you look at the first option with colored stripes, then each strip must be drawn separately, sprinkled with sand and dried in a lamp.

Video with the process:

And in this video I talk about the technology and what is better to choose for a pattern: gel paint or gel polish.

Over time, this design can get dirty, so it must be washed with a brush.

The second option is Acrylic Powder Gradient.

For this design, we used: white gel polish, 2 jars of acrylic powder, brush, gel polish top, UV lamp.

How to dogradient manicure with acrylic powder?

First, the nails are prepared for gel polish. Then the base is applied and dried in a lamp. After that, the required number of layers of white gel polish is applied and each layer is dried in a lamp. Next, acrylic powder is applied to the sticky layer with a brush with light movements. To smooth the transition, I took two green jars. And lighter made the transition from white to light green.

About quality:

I have white acrylic powder from the USA and this set. Therefore, I can only compare so far.

Powder that is from the USA, that from China is visually no different for me. She is the same

fine as dust. The design looks exactly the same. The only difference is in the size of the jars.

The colors in the set are bright, beautiful, but slightly different from the photo of the seller.

In principle, I'm happy, but everyone complains that some jars are crumbling ((I have crumbled the desired yellow color, so it's a little insulting ...

Using acrylic powder, you can sculpt on gel polish, but so far I have not even tried this technique. I think it's quite difficult.

In general, I was satisfied with the set.

Thank you for your feedback!
