This remedy is useful for oily skin prone to breakouts. Acne tincture helps well, but in this case, it is necessary to treat the site of the rash directly, and not the entire face. It is useful to disinfect the skin with such a tincture, it will only dry it out without causing peeling of the epidermis. It also has a pleasant refreshing effect.

How to prepare the tincture:

  1. Fresh, clean nettles are crushed, you can do this with a blender.

The lotion is almost the same. 6 tablespoons of dry leaves are poured into 1 liter of water, not boiled, but only brought to a boil. Then the mixture must be cooled and filtered. Nettle for the face: how it is useful and how to apply it correctly

In many cases, when caring for their skin, the fair sex refuses expensive creams, lotions and serums in favor of natural, affordable products. Often this approach is justified.

Some familiar natural remedies have a much more pronounced effect, but not all girls know how to use them correctly. Let's talk about such a common plant as nettle for the face, as well as what results can be achieved by regularly using it in facial skin care.

The benefits of nettle

Nettle, which many are wary of because of its burning hairs located on the leaves and stem, has long been used in folk cosmetology and medicine. Even our distant ancestors knew about the beneficial properties of the plant, using it both externally and internally.

And to this day, nettle does not lose its popularity. Very often, for example, it is used to make decoctions that perfectly care for hair, stopping hair loss, giving shine, silkiness, and reducing the oiliness of the scalp.

At the same time, skin care with nettle products is less common. But those girls who know the amazing properties of the plant note its therapeutic effect on the problematic dermis, as well as a pronounced anti-aging effect. Such a positive effect is due to the large number of valuable substances contained in nettles, including:

  • vitamin A, which promotes skin renewal, accelerates regeneration, heals wounds, acne and acne marks;
  • vitamin C, which gives the face radiance, and also triggers the production of collagen in tissues, thereby increasing elasticity;
  • vitamin K, which helps to lighten age spots and freckles, evening out skin tone;
  • tannins that strengthen the walls of blood vessels;
  • minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium) involved in intercellular metabolism, improving the general condition of the skin.

Also in the composition there is a large number of various acids, which are also useful for the dermis. They increase its immunity, smooth, reduce the number of wrinkles and inflammation, whiten, help get rid of scars.

It is very important to strictly follow this list. The fact is that nettle juice contains a rather aggressive substance - formic acid. If used incorrectly, inappropriately or excessively, serious skin problems can occur, including irritation and burns. Therefore, it is important to observe the proportions when making homemade masks and lotions, as well as adhere to the indicated time and method of their use.

Both fresh and dry nettles are widely used in cosmetology. Both types can be used to make decoctions, masks, tinctures.
