Stunning do-it-yourself button paintings. Do-it-yourself decorative panel "Owl" from buttons. Step by step photo tutorial

"Owl from buttons" - a master class for creating a decorative panel from buttons.

Olkhovchenko E. A., teacher of additional education, MBU DO "House of Children's Creativity", p. Kochubeevsky.
The master class can be intended for teachers of additional education, independent composition by children or together with parents and any craftswomen who want to create.
Target: creation of a decorative panel for interior decoration.
Tasks: introduce the principles of decorative styling, develop skills in working with textiles, form imaginative thinking, cultivate artistic and aesthetic taste.

Materials for work: dark fabric for the background, buttons of various sizes and colors, various sequins, beads.

Decorative stylization of the image.

The purpose of creative stylization in arts and crafts is to create a new artistic image that has increased expressiveness and decorativeness and stands above nature, real objects of the surrounding world.
Decorative stylization is characterized by generalization and symbolism of the depicted objects and forms. This artistic method implies a conscious rejection of the complete authenticity of the image and its detailed detailing. The stylization method requires separating from the image everything superfluous, secondary, interfering with a clear visual perception in order to expose the essence of the depicted objects, reflect the most important thing in them, draw the viewer's attention to the previously hidden beauty and evoke corresponding vivid emotions in him.
So, it is necessary to be able to stylize an object into an image, transform an image into a symbol, into a sign.
The selection and limitation of means of expression, the rejection of details and the submission to the chosen technique and materials of performance are absolutely necessary.
The created image should not be visually overloaded, but at the same time it should be developed and interesting.

Description of the stages of the execution of the panel.

1. In order to break away from realistic copying, you need to draw decorative images.

2. These sketches and searches will help you find unexpected solutions, disassemble the work by tone and spots.

3. To begin with, we decide on the color scheme and color of the future work in order to avoid unnecessary variegation. Beige, golden, brown tones are well combined.

4. Having decided on the background color and format, we outline the wings with chalk and sew on small buttons with a plastic line with a certain alternation.

5. For the eyes, choose large buttons with a complex pattern.

6. We develop eyes by sewing on long buttons.

7. Beak - as an accent, it should stand out, both in size and shape.

8. We begin to develop the wings from the bottom.

9. We continue to adhere to the chosen warm range.
We try to use buttons of various textures, since visual diversity is necessary for the development of wings.

10. Withstanding the contour, fill in the wings. This is the most complete, intense part of the work.

11. Since the emphasis is on the wings, you need to think about how to solve the body so that it does not merge with the wings. If you use buttons, then inevitably they will argue and merge with the wings, creating fragmentation. Therefore, you can pick up sequins, better larger. Matte, zototisto - beige circles look original. They do not overload the image. But the dark buttons of the eyes are best emphasized with light beads.

12. We continue to develop the eyes by sewing on smaller beige and brown beads. On the body we sew large beads that match in color.

13. And the final touch is the claws on the paws. The owl itself can be slightly decorated with sequins and glass beads. But everything needs a sense of proportion. Work completed.
You can develop your own variations, similar ones.

Good luck in your work and in all your endeavors!

A beautiful and beloved craft for children is an owl. Let's figure out what you can make an owl at home.

Ideas for luxurious birds in different techniques:

  • leaf applique;
  • from felt or various fabrics;
  • from paper and cardboard;
  • from wood and cones;
  • from tiles and buttons, etc.

Owl from tree bark

You can collect pieces of different bark, which you need to give the approximate shape of an oval, and at the top of the ears.

Owl eyes are large, acorn caps look great. We glue them in the upper part of the body (head). You can use large buttons, small cuts of twigs and other round objects for the eyes.

For the spout, a white squash seed is perfect, with a round shape up.

If the wings are made from leaves (colored paper), then the scoop will look different.

Owl from cones

Crafts from spruce, pine or cedar cones look very beautiful. Preferably a large spruce cone (body) and a smaller pine cone (head).

Detailed instructions on how to easily make an owl at home:

  • First you need to glue a small bump on a large one. Plasticine is suitable for this, you can use a glue gun. If it didn’t turn out very neat, don’t worry, big eyes will close the errors.
  • We make paws from dried bean pods. We also glue them with plasticine (glue gun).
  • The sides of the scoop should be cut with a small knife, remove the scales on the left / right or push them apart. Insert a bunch of thin twigs from a birch or other tree into the resulting gap. You get wings.
  • Excellent eyes will come out of straw bundles (hairs from any ears of corn). Collect them in a bundle and tie in the middle with a thread. Then fluff in a circle to get a fluffy rim. To keep the beam better, we fix the button in the center with glue - there will be a bird's eye.

A large voluminous owl is an excellent decoration for a child's room.

Owl in quilling technique

An elegant craft will turn out using the quilling technique (thin stripes of paper). The strips need to be twisted, having received twists - modules that are symmetrical on 2 sides. The twists are made in different sizes and give the desired shape, from which, like puzzles, we add a bird.

Sequence of work:

  • The body is made of white rolled paper in the shape of a large oval. On this base we will glue other twists - eyes, eyebrows, nose, wings and paws of an owl.
  • Eyes. We wrap a thin rod with strips of black paper. We wind white stripes on top of these twists, then blue ones. This is how voluminous 3-color eyes are obtained.
  • Brows. On top of the huge twists-eyes glue long wave-shaped modules, slightly bending up.
  • The nose is a small twist.
  • Wings - dense twists in the form of a drop, stretched down, they reach the legs.
  • The craft is ready.

Owl from a plastic bottle

To work, you need a large dark bottle (from kvass 1.5-2 liters), a brush and paints: white, light brown, yellow and black.

Stages of work:

  • We cover the bottle upside down with black - it will become a good background.
  • We draw large owl eyes: the largest circle is white, inside the smaller circle is yellow, as in the diagram.
  • The yellow nose is a small diamond between the eyes.
  • We paint the body with white paint, but it is better to bring your own creativity. For example, a twig in the beak, feathers or light brown stripes on the sides, etc.

Owl - a mosaic of buttons

Kids love mosaics, for this craft you will need multi-colored buttons and beads.

On paper, you can draw the contours of an owl. Then, on it, select symmetrically colored buttons that are the same in size.

If it turns out beautifully, you need to take a picture of the application, then repeat the photo with glue.

Note!

You can fold the outline with buttons, and inside with beads, it will be cheaper.

Now the buttons are expensive, they are easy to order on the cheap ali-express website (China).

Owl felt case

If there are pieces of felt, you can make a keychain. Let's figure out how best to make an owl. Step-by-step master class for children:

  • In the shape of an oval with ears, cut out 2 pieces of felt, carefully sew along the edges with threads. The color can be pink, blue, etc.
  • Cut a circle from a fabric of a different color, then sew it to our workpiece, slightly shifting down.
  • Sew on the eyes from 2 white circles, draw eyes on them (you can close them with large cilia).
  • Glue a black triangle-nose between the eyes.
  • Above the eyes, it is better to make a semicircle with ears, where to sew a ribbon (white, blue) by threading a metal key ring.

Joint creativity with children is useful and fun. We offer a lot of photo ideas for an owl to do at home from improvised materials.

Photo crafts owl

Note!

Note!

Human imagination has no limits, and sometimes you can make beautiful crafts from the simplest things. For example, do-it-yourself button paintings, photos of which can be found in our article, will become an original and one-of-a-kind decorative decoration for your house or apartment. Consider several manufacturing options and choose the one that suits you.

Easy Ways to Create Paintings
Option 1. To create a picture of an owl from buttons, there is a very easy master class. To carry it out, you will need the usual materials that can be found in your closet, namely:
- many different buttons;
- colored cardboard;
- a frame for a future picture;
Glue (preferably using a glue gun).

Having prepared all the necessary details, you can get to work. Select the desired drawing scheme. First determine the location of the buttons without fastening them. Let your child help you in this matter. Apply glue to one side of the buttons and carefully arrange them over the design office. Note that the buttons should be laid out in 2 layers.

Thanks to this, your work of art will be more voluminous, and the void between the details is barely noticeable. Sometimes such indents are filled with beads or small beads. Next lay out the last top layer. Additional parts can be drawn with pencils or paint.
A very popular theme of paintings is the image of various plants, for example, trees. Check out the two options and choose the one you like.

Option 2. The next do-it-yourself button picture, the photo and diagram of which is presented just below, we will begin to perform, like the first one, but it needs a large number of round buttons.

For this method of work, you need to find a thin wooden plank. Using a simple pencil, draw the outlines of the plants. Now start fixing the buttons, but not like leaves. Green buttons will fill the crown, and brown buttons will fill the trunk.
For a more beautiful and original composition, small birds can be cut from the material. Thus, you get a beautiful picture that you can give to friends or hang at home.

Option 3. Another master class will help you make a funny elephant that your baby will like. First of all, make the necessary outlines of the figure and color them. Next, grab the button sticker. At the beginning of the work, glue the buttons of a larger size. Fill in the gaps between them with small details. Make eyes from white and black objects. And finally, paint balloons on your animal. Such a cute elephant will be loved by both children and adults.

picturesque picture
Now try to make an original autumn-themed craft. She can decorate any school exhibition. For a similar picture, you will need the following:
- red and yellow buttons;
- dark brown fabric;
- PVA glue and polymer glue (we will glue the buttons with them),
- thick cardboard or thin fiberboard - this will be the basis of the picture (the size of the cardboard should be a centimeter larger than usual - a sheet of paper on all sides);
- a sheet of paper for watercolor or drawing in A3 format;
- watercolor paints and brushes;
- a marker (pen or felt-tip pen) and scissors;
- stained glass paints.

Take a thick sheet and paint the sky and earth with a brush. After everything is dry, attach cardboard or fiberboard to the edges, which will act as a frame. Take the material and lay it face down on the table. Then trace the outline of the tree and cut it out. It is very important that children take part in the process. Trust them to stick the buttons on the tree, but take precautions.

You can add a sun to the picture from buttons, pieces of yellow fabric, as well as stained glass paint. Cut pieces of canvas, glue them with PVA glue along the edge of your image. Paint two stripes around the perimeter of the picture. At the last step, fold your fabric to the back and make a "loop" there for hanging it on the wall. Thus, you can make a panel on the theme of "Autumn", which will decorate any home.

Good afternoon, today we will make an owl with our own hands - in a variety of techniques. This article is the largest piggy bank, where owl crafts are laid out by topic and the materials from which they are made. You will see simple crafts for kids in kindergarten or younger students. You will also find ideas for adult crafts on the theme of an owl, worthy of decorating the interior of a house or apartment.

  • Do-it-yourself owls from natural material.
  • Owl applications from leaves.
  • Owl crafts made of felt and fabric.
  • Owls from kitchen utensils.
  • Owls in quilling technique
  • Owl crafts made of paper and cardboard.
  • Mosaic owls made of buttons and tiles.

Let's start making an owl with our own hands.

Owl craft FROM WOOD.

Very beautiful owls can be made using thin log cuts. Ordinary firewood and a hacksaw in the determined hands of a designer can create an adorable owl craft. As we see in the photo below, we need one large saw cut (here you will need to work hard with a hacksaw) and several smaller saw cuts (this work is already fast).

A large saw cut will be the basis of the owl's body, and smaller saw cuts will serve as the eyes and plumage on the owl's chest. They can also become wings. Or the wing can be made from a cone or a piece of bark, birch bark from the same firewood (trimming the bark with scissors, giving it an oval wing shape).

If you do not have large saw cuts, you can use small saw cuts and make a beautiful little owl with your own hands. Eyes can be made from buttons (as in the photo below). Draw a wing pattern with a felt-tip pen or ordinary pharmacy iodine. Or the drawing of the wings can be made with a burning device - the paws can be molded from plasticine, fluffy wire, birch twigs or cut out of cardboard.

From wood logs you can make tall owls. With large eyes and a nose-bump. Such owl crafts will decorate your summer cottage. Or they can become part of a festive autumn composition to decorate a celebration - a wedding in the yard, for example.

Owl craft

from the bark of a tree.

Even ordinary pieces of bark can become crafts in the form of an owl. You just need to give a piece of bark the shape of an oval with two pointed corners at the top (to get the contours of the ears). And then we make the eyes and nose. The eyes are large and the nose is small, pointed down. Eyes can be from acorn caps, from saw cuts of a thick branch, from buttons, round slices of apples dried in the sun. Of two large flowers (for example, asters). From any natural material that has a round shape or a round cut.

Wings for such bark owl crafts can be made from ordinary leaves or paper (fabric) cut in the shape of an autumn leaf. As we can see in the photo below.

Craft wreaths with owls

with your own hands.

We have already said what beautiful autumn compositions in the form of wreaths can be made with your own hands as crafts for a school competition. In the same way, we can decorate our autumn wreath in the form of a large owl. And all this is done from autumn natural material.

All we need is a large sheet of cardboard (from pizza or from a packaging box from household appliances). And we also need a glue gun (sold in the craft and construction departments of the store is very cheap - it costs a couple of dollars).

Cut out a donut ring from a cardboard box. This will be the basis for the future owl. And now we attach pieces of natural material to this cardboard ring with a glue gun. In the woodshed there are always a lot of chocks, chips, bark and birch bark - everything is lying around idle. And we'll put it all together. We attach this natural debris to our cardboard ring. Add bright circles of eyes from colored cardboard, beak elements of wings (optional) and paws.

The eyes can be cut out in the form of flowers. How to cut beautiful paper flowers and many templates for them can be found in the article "Paper Flowers". Wings can be oak leaves - real or also cut out of cardboard.

A variety of dry leaves, herbs and flowers can be a source of owl crafts. You can cut out a solid circle from cardboard (without a hole in the center) and fill this entire round space with natural material. You get a rich autumn DIY owl craft - which will decorate any exhibition at a school or kindergarten.

Crafts-owls from CONES

with your own hands.

Beautiful cones - large and small - can be a source of beautiful crafts in the form of an owl. We take a large fir cone (and even better cedar, but it is not so easy to get it in the city) and a small pine cone. The fir cone will be the body, the pine cone will be the head.

With a glue gun (or on plasticine), we attach a small cone to a large one - at an angle. Do not worry if the gluing place turned out to be sloppy - it will be closed by the owl's large eyes. Next, you need to put the craft on paws - we make them from dried bean pods(we also attach it to glue from a gun or plasticine). Next, we cut the sides of the cone-body with a knife, take out a row of ingots on the left and right, or push the scales apart, and into this gap we insert bunches of thin birch branches onto the glue from the gun.

Eyes are bunches of small straws(or dried stigmas from corn, or hairs from ears) that were collected in a bunch - then this bunch tied with thread in the middle. And from this mid-dressing fluff the bundle in a circle. And this circular fluffy spread was fixed with glue - pressing the button eye on top.

Your children can also make a small owlet from a single cone. Cardboard eyes, dried orange peel beak. Wings can also be made from the peel. Ears from leaves, a forelock on the head from a piece of moss. Moss can be brought from the forest. And on this moss bump and plant an owl craft - you get a wonderful autumn composition.

Even from the moss tussock you can make an owl. And the scales from the cone will be the plumage of the wings. The eyes are acorn caps, the nose is cut out of birch bark, and the paws too.

And if you have pieces of felt at home, then you can make such beautiful owl crafts.

And you can also gut the bump - pull out all the scales with tongs. And from these scales lay out the outlines of an owl like a mosaic-puzzle. All this is planted on a toned canvas from a piece of plywood - fastened with glue from a pistol. Complete the composition with a branch with dry leaves.

And also small cones, acorns, chestnuts, nuts and Christmas tree branches can be thrown into a transparent glass jar (let the child pick up everything his heart desires in the jar). And along with it, it remains to decorate the surface of the can in the form of an owl. It will also turn out an owl craft made from natural material.

From the remains of acorn and chestnut hats, you can make little owls with your children. Attach all parts to plasticine or sharp toothpicks.

Crafts-owls from LEAVES

with your own hands.

Leaf applications are another technique that is very suitable for creating any kind of birds, including owls. The rows of leaves resemble plumage, so owl-leaf applications look very realistic and artistically beautiful.

First, you can cut out a large owl from packing cardboard - the outlines of a future craft. And then cover it with feather-leaves on a glue gun.

You can lay out the application of an owl from the foliage of coniferous plants - fir, spruce, pine. The base for the application can serve as a sheet of cardboard, plywood or a cut of a thick log. Lay out the edges of the application with sprigs. And then in each sector of the craft - on a layer of glue - put needles and fir paws.

It is very interesting when not only dry leaves and flowers are used in the application of an owl from natural materials, but also a more uniform filling: poplar fluff, dry grass, pieces of moss.

You can also do PHOTO-DIY, this is when you work with fresh material that cannot be glued and sealed for a long time. A perishable craft can only be fixed by means of PHOTO-SHOOTING. That is, on a table on a white background, we lay out our craft - without glue just like that - and then we take a photo in good quality and print it, put it in a frame and it serves as an interior decoration. These photo crafts with owls can be used as gift pictures or greeting cards.

Household items

in the manufacture of crafts-owls.

Ordinary bottle caps can be turned into cute owls. Very cute mini owl crafts your kids will love. They will be happy to play with them, settle them in a dollhouse, ride in a Barbie Cadillac.

And if the cork is cut into round saw cuts, then an owl can be laid out of them like from a geometric mosaic. Nice and interesting owl craft for kids.

Any household items that have already served their kitchen age faithfully can turn into pets - cute and cozy owls. Can and beer lids will give the owl craft expressive eyes, eyes straight with cilia. The wire wrapped around the perch will become the tenacious paws of such an original owl.

A chipped saucer that you were about to throw away, cups with broken handles, old can openers - everything can be the basis for an owl craft. Bright beautiful and unusual.

You can also twist a beautiful owl craft from household twine (as in the photo below). We inflate two balloons - a larger one for the body and a smaller one for the head. We throw a roll with twine into a bowl, where glue (silicate or pva) is already poured - we wind the threads smeared in glue on balloons. Dry by hanging on a chandelier. We burst the ball, separate it from the thread web. We get two spider web balls - we put them on top of each other and form the rest of the elements of the owl - ear ties, eyes, cotton pads with cardboard pupils, a nose and an elegant tie around the neck with a cone or a sprig of acorns.

From an ordinary plastic bottle, you can make an owl with your own hands. It is necessary to cut off its lower part from the bottle (this will be the top of the head) and the upper part, cutting off the neck from it (this will be the lower half of the owl). We dress two parts on top of each other and paint with paints. If you use not acrylic, but gouache, then after painting and drying, you need to fix the paint with hairspray.

Ordinary corrugated packaging (cardboard boxes from a TV, etc.) can become a source of material for do-it-yourself owl crafts. The easiest way for children is to cut out the silhouettes of owls and stick bottle caps on them. Bright colored plastic lids will be even more elegant than metal beer lids.

Corrugated cardboard craft can be supplemented with colored paper inserts.

And the technique for making such an owl craft can be different - both on a flat cardboard base, and using corrugated cardboard rolls, as in the photo below.

We just cut the cardboard into strips - we twist them into rolls, fixing them with glue, and from such twists we make a craft. And you can make owl legs out of wire.

You can buy real children's craft corrugated cardboard and make neater owl crafts out of it, as in the photo below. Children will like such an owl with their own hands - it is beautiful, quite simple and elegant. And in the New Year, it can be hung as a toy on the Christmas tree.

DIY owls

in quilling technique.

Quilling is a technique for making crafts from thin paper strips that are twisted in the form of twist modules. The modules are given different sizes and shapes, and crafts are assembled from them like puzzles - flat or voluminous.

Below we see a very small owl made by hand in this technique. We wrap strips of black paper around a thin rod. Then we wrap these round black coats with white paper strips, then blue ones - we get three-color eyes.

The body is the largest roll of white paper.

Eyebrows are round twists - which were first twisted tightly around the shaft, then they were allowed to unwind, and then rolled into the shape of long wavy modules.

The wings and nose are also round twists, which were slightly relaxed, unwound and then gave them a teardrop shape with your fingers.

You can twist an owl from oval narrow long twists as in the photo below. The ears are the same round twists that were triangular in shape with the fingers.

We can lay a quilling owl with our own hands on a cardboard base - arrange it in the form of a regular application-picture.

Paper owls with their own hands.

Crafts-applications.

The simplest children's owl craft is an application made of paper and maple leaves. For a kindergarten of a younger group, this craft is the most suitable. It's quick and easy and the kids love it.

The silhouettes of owls can be generally undefined - in the form of a cloud with uneven edges, made of paper, unevenly torn, from fluffy pieces of cotton wool or synthetic winterizer.

Owl crafts can be painted with paint applied by poking with a piece of foam rubber (photo below).

Children of the middle group love to make broken applications. First you need to tear a sheet of paper into thin strips - and then each strip into paper scraps. Having made a bunch of such blank scraps, you can start making an owl with your own hands. The color can be brown, black or white if against the night sky.

Older kindergarten groups or younger students can make such an autumn owl craft. The trunk of a tree is a sheet of paper that is folded in half lengthwise and in half again - only 2 times. Then they unfolded and got a sheet of paper, divided by fold lines into 4 parts. We glue the two extreme parts with each other with an overlap - and the two central parts eventually rear up like this angle - forming a convex log. We cut a hollow hole in it with scissors. At the bottom of the hollow we glue a spring made of paper (I already told you how to fold two paper strips criss-cross into a spring). And on this spring that rises above the bottom of the hollow, we are already pasting an owl made of paper or cardboard.

From ordinary paper bags you can make an owl very quickly. We put a lump of crumpled newspaper in a bag - we tie the bag with twine. We glue the nose, eyes and paws on it and we get a simple and quick do-it-yourself owl craft.

You can also make an elegant owl craft out of ordinary cardboard. Rolling cardboard into a tube- fasten to the stapler (staples), because the glue will not hold. Further, in the upper part of the cardboard tube, we press with a finger - in front and behind - and we get owl ears.

It remains to figure out how to decorate it. The beak, eyes and paws are understandable. But you can also add wings from paper fans or paper cupcake liners. From the same molds you can make lush breasts of an owl - as in the photo below.

DIY owls

FROM FABRIC and FELT.

Any fabric is suitable for making an owl. Your trousers. Remains of upholstery. A torn floral chintz blouse. Any pruning can very quickly become beautiful do-it-yourself owls.

Even ordinary socks can turn into cute owls. The toe is cut off. And from above it is cut in the form of a triangle. This triangular protrusion is thrown forward - and forms the ears and the tip of the beak. We sew eyes and wings from felt or pieces of the same sock.

flat crafts-appliques from felt in the form of an owl also an interesting topic for children. Here you need to carefully cut out all the details and sew them on a thick fabric stretched over an embroidery hoop.

DIY felt owls can be made in a variety of styles. It can be a charming lady owl - a pure charm - or crafts in the form of an owl bully.

Felt owls can complement elegant autumn wreaths for interior decoration.

Also, your children will be happy to make a whole tree with small felt owls.

In the form of an owl from felt, you can make a keychain and an odorous pendant in the car (if you fill it with the contents of a laundry sachet - dried lavender, etc.).

Also, a cover for a phone or a notebook can be sewn in the form of a cute owl with your own hands.

And even table setting can be decorated in the theme of owls - sew cutlery cases with owl wing pockets.

Owl drawings

Children's crafts.

You can also make your own crafts stickers from stained glass rubber paints. On a sheet of paper we draw a sketch-draft of an owl. We insert a sheet of paper into a transparent office file - and outline the outlines of the picture with stained glass children's paints. Dry on the cabinet - one night. And peel off the frozen dense owl pattern from the cellophane and glue it on the window or mirror. A beautiful craft-owl with your own hands.

With ordinary paints - gouache or acrylic, you can draw bright cartoon owl y. It is very simple here - the shape of an owl can be any - the main thing is that it has ears, eyes and a beak. Everything else is up to your taste and imagination.

The main thing (pay attention to the photo) is each painted element of the owl outline with separate color. Then the drawing will be expressive and not vague.

You can draw a whole owl tree. First draw with a pencil. And then ask the children to decorate with all the colors. They will love this coloring with their own hands.

DIY owls

Mosaic crafts.

Children are very fond of play puzzle. And what if this mosaic is made of colored buttons and beads. And offer them the contours of an owl drawn on paper. Children will be happy to fold such owls. If the application turns out to be successful, you can take a picture of it, then remove all the buttons and repeat the craft from the photo already on the hot glue from the gun.

Buttons are now an expensive pleasure. To make the craft require less money, you can order cheap sets of buttons on ali-express (Chinese website). You can also use buttons only in some elements of the owl - and fill the rest of the space with beads(cheaper this way) - as it is done in the photo below.

You can add the contours of such a mosaic from long sticks of glass beads- as in the photo of the craft below.

You can make a mosaic owl with your own hands broken ceramic tiles. We break the usual facing tiles with a hammer (wrapped in a towel so that the fragments do not scatter).

Prepare a flat tray. Put a cement or gypsum mortar on it - a mixture for laying tiles is suitable. On this wet solution, draw the outlines of an owl with a sharp stick and lay the mosaic.

It is very good to use in such applications old CDs- they are simply cut into pieces with scissors. It turns out very beautiful (photo below).

Also in such a mosaic application, you can use large beads, rhinestones and glass decorative pebbles from a decor store.

Under such a mosaic craft, you can make a substrate from a kitchen board. And then this DIY painting can decorate your kitchen.

And you can also not throw away the broken service, but use it in making your DIY owl crafts.

Here is such a piggy bank of ideas for those who want to make a real beautiful owl with their own hands.

Good luck with your crafts this season.

Olga Klishevskaya, specially for the site

, both simple ones that can be done with the children, and complex ones that require a lot of patience and a few tools.

To make interesting crafts from buttons, you do not need to have special skills, you just need to stock up on certain tools and learn about some tricks.

Here is just a small part of some of the most interesting (simple and not so) crafts from buttons that you can do yourself.

Button Crafts: Adjustable Button Necklace

You will need:

Buttons

Thread, cord, fishing line, or twine (strong and thin enough to fit through buttonholes)

Scissors

measuring tape

1. Measure about 150 cm of thread and cut a piece. Thread the needle and start pulling on the buttons one by one.

Start at the back of the button, through the hole, to the right and into the other hole.

The first button should be about 40 cm from the end of the thread.

Insert the second button in reverse, i.e. so that it is attached to the first face to face.

Repeat the sequence for as long as you like. In this example, the length of the button necklace is 50 cm.

2. Making an adjustable fastener:

Prepare a button with two large holes - you will have to thread it 2 times

Insert this button about 10 cm from the end of the thread

Thread the other end of the thread through the needle and pull the end through the same button (this time it will work from the back).

3. Tie a knot at each end of the thread.

* By tightening the ends of the thread, you can adjust the length of the necklace.

Button bracelet (photo)

Button tree

You will need:

Panel (you can use chipboard, canvas or a wall from a photo frame)

Lots of buttons

Scrapbooking paper

simple pencil

Tree and bird patterns (optional).

1. Making the base. If you have a canvas, you can paint it; if the wall is from a photo frame, cover it with a cloth or you can also paint it; if chipboard - process the edges with sandpaper and apply varnish.

2. Prepare the tree template. You can print it out and then transfer it to a wooden base.

3. Prepare a bird template and transfer it to scrap paper or thick paper, then color it.

4. Apply glue to the buttons and stick them on the tree pattern. The crown of the tree can be made from green buttons of different shades, and the trunk from brown.

5. Glue the birds to the tree.

The picture is ready and you can decorate the interior with it.

Button tree (photo)

Button master class: bowl

You will need:

Buttons of different shapes and sizes (small buttons stick better)

PVA glue (you can dilute it with a little water)

tassel

Scissors

Jar (on which you will put the ball)

1. Inflate a balloon of the desired size.

2. Put the ball on the jar tail down.

3. Cover half of the ball with glue, using a brush or just with your finger.

* While applying the glue, you can hold the ball by the tail and shake it so that the glue lays evenly. After that, you can put the ball on the jar.

4. Let this layer of glue harden. It will serve as a layer of protection between the ball and the buttons.

5. Apply a second layer of glue and start gluing the buttons - they should fit snugly together. Cover the floor of the balloon with buttons.

* So that the buttons do not "slide" down, after gluing them, turn the ball with the tail up and put it on the jar.

6. Leave the workpiece to dry. This may take several hours.

7. When everything is dry, cover the glued buttons with another layer of glue.

* If necessary, to strengthen the structure, you can apply a fourth layer of glue (after the third layer dries).

8. Carefully cut off the tail of the balloon so that the air slowly comes out of it.

* If necessary, get rid of excess dried glue with scissors.
