So, we figured out how to cut an even and pretty heart out of colored paper. It's time to choose an idea for decorating Valentine's Day.

Super simple valentines

Let's first look at the simplest ways. A huge valentine heart can be made from small hearts, each of which is glued to a cardboard base.

Small blank hearts themselves can become full-fledged valentines if they are cut out of beautiful paper and decorated with buttons.

There is a special place on the Valentine for the name of the addressee or a romantic message.

A complete picture of paper hearts is the height of simplicity and genius!

After watching the video of the master class, you will learn how to make a heart box with your own hands:

Valentine card with a pattern

The beauty of this way of creating a paper heart with your own hands is that it is not at all necessary to be a talented artist, even a child can make such a Valentine.

On a heart of white or any other, but better than a light color, draw simple curls, hearts, flowers and other delights with an ordinary ballpoint pen.

Then, using the usual watercolor paints, paint only a few fragments:

As a result, you will get a one-of-a-kind Valentine!

Such valentines can be given not only to a loved one, but also to friends (because we love them too))

By the way, do you know why foreigners write XO letters on Valentine cards?

Valentine's card using a stamp

The method using a heart-shaped stamp is also quite simple and popular when making paper valentines. To do this, you only need to buy one or more stamps. They come in different prints and different sizes:

If you can’t buy it, don’t despair - make it yourself from an ordinary wine cork. Draw a heart and carefully cut it out with a utility knife.

Then apply gouache to the sponge and try to make an impression on a piece of paper.

And now let's see how to make a valentine with your own hands using a stamp.

On a blank for a postcard (you can use a finished one, you can fold a sheet of cardboard in half) using a small piece of masking tape, carefully attach the blank with a heart inside. Then, using a stamp, we fill the entire surface inside the blank with hearts, while the color of the hearts can be different shades of red.

After the paint has dried, remove the paper blank and the valentine is ready!

Valentine card with hearts

Lovers of beautiful scrapbooking paper will definitely love the idea of creating a romantic three-dimensional postcard with hearts.

The technique for creating a valentine card is very simple. Using a paper puncher, cut out hearts.

The number of hearts should be 2 times more than what we see on the card, because each heart will be two-layered.

In this version of the valentine, all the bottom hearts are made from the same type of paper, and the top ones are made from different ones.

Take a ready-made card base or make your own, and then mark the location of the bottom layer of hearts and stick them on thin double-sided tape. Just sew the top hearts to the bottom ones on a sewing machine - it's not difficult, the main thing is to be careful.

By the same principle, you can make small valentine cards:

And voluminous valentines in the shape of a heart:

If you don't have a sewing machine, sew on the hearts by hand. To do this, first lay the paper on a soft surface, such as a towel or ironing board, and then pierce it with a needle, using a thimble to push the needle through (watch your fingers!)

And finally, get inspired by ideas for decorating your home for Valentine's Day. They also won't take much of your time, but they will definitely create a romantic atmosphere!

romantic wreaths

The wreath of paper hearts is based on a circle made of thick cardboard or a plywood blank. You can glue the exact same circle of decorative paper on top, and then just stick a lot of hearts on it!

It's even easier to make a wreath out of strips of double-sided scrapbooking paper. Bend them in half first, and then glue them on top, giving the shape of a heart. By gluing such blanks to each other, you will assemble an original wreath from them.

The more hearts, the larger the circle of the wreath.

Garland of hearts

In addition to the wreath, you can also make garlands with hearts. A figured hole punch with a heart and a regular hole punch for piercing round holes will come to the rescue.

The garland can also be made from hearts folded from strips of paper (based on the “heart” element, borrowed from quilling)

Of course, we will definitely show you more complex and interesting options for creating valentines with your own hands, but if for some reason you need to make a valentine very quickly, you can always use one of the ideas listed here!

The process of making the innermost clamshell is very simple. First you need to draw an inscription, it may differ from the one in the picture. The most important thing to consider is that the upper sides of the inscription must have an additional plane in order for the letters to unfold. Next, using a clerical knife, the longitudinal lines of the letters are cut out, the transverse lines must be left. After that, it is enough just to stick the resulting blank inside the book, bending the letters so that they unfold when the book is opened.

Important! Before gluing the inner sheet of paper, first make the outer design of the valentine.

Such a paper valentine looks very original, and you can make the external design to your taste. It does not have to be in the form of a book, it can be a heart, a flower, or any other shape that you consider romantic.

To facilitate the work, if you decide to make do-it-yourself valentines from paper, photo schemes and other materials can be found on the net and simply printed on a printer. But remember that your main task is to give the valentine originality.

But before inserting paper into the printer, check its dimensions, if they are larger than A4, then simply cut the sheet.

DIY valentines: scrapbooking

If you have been dating a person for quite some time and you have joint photos, then scrapbooking style valentine. This style is quite extensive and a wide variety of materials can be used. The most important requirement is that the valentine turned out in the form of a story.

How to make a scrapbooking valentine

The first thing you need to do is come up with a story that you want to convey in the Valentine. This may be a story of acquaintance, the first declaration of love, how you fell in love with a person. It is important that the story fits the theme of the holiday.

The second stage is the preparation of materials for manufacturing. Scrapbooking is a style in which stories are conveyed not only through visual images, but you can also use tactile sensations, smells and any other ways to create the appropriate atmosphere when viewing a story. It is desirable, of course, to have photographs, but they can be replaced with inscriptions or pictures that will convey the meaning of the story itself.

The traditional option is an album with photographs, looking through which you can understand the story. It can even be one-page, since only the essence needs to be conveyed. A good option is to make a postcard with heart stickers, the inscriptions can be on top of them, or they will need to be opened one by one to view the story.

Important! You make a congratulation or recognition yourself, remember that you are free to choose its design and content, you just need to adhere to the basic canons of the style you have chosen.

DIY fabric valentines

Fabric is also an excellent material for making valentines, there are also a lot of options for such valentines, and you can really make unique and inimitable crafts. The most important thing when working with fabric is not to rush, as fabric is a little more difficult to work with than paper and cardboard.

Valentine's pillows

Making a heart-shaped pillow is quite simple. To do this, you will need: two pieces of fabric for a pattern, cotton wool or other filler for a pillow (you can even use pieces of fabric), needles and threads, scissors, a piece of cardboard for a pattern.

First, a heart-shaped pattern is made (you can change the shape at your discretion). After that, the contour of the future pillow is drawn on the fabric with a pencil or felt-tip pen.

When cutting patterns, remember that the outline you drew is a seam designation, not a cutting line. Be sure to step back 1-2 centimeters when cutting from the contour so that there are no problems when sewing the pillow. When you make do-it-yourself valentines from fabric, patterns do not have to be cut straight. The edges of the fabric will not be visible anyway, since they will be inside.

Next, two pieces of fabric are folded together so that the front side is inside. If you have a sewing machine, you can sew together the fabric on it, if you don't have one, you can get by with a simple needle, although this will take a little more time. The heart is not completely sewn together, but a small hole is left on one side. It is needed in order to turn the workpiece out and fill it.

When everything is ready, it is enough just to carefully sew up the hole left after filling the pad. Additionally, you can, before stitching the blanks together, embroider the inscription on the pillow to make it as original as possible.

Important! To embroider an inscription on a pillow, it will be easiest to satin stitch.

You can easily make these DIY valentines from felt, velvet, silk or other fabric you like. The most important thing is that it is not only beautiful but also durable. Indeed, in this case, your congratulations will be remembered for many years.

Embroidery valentines

If you like to embroider with a cross, satin stitch or in another way, then you can make an original valentine, which will be a great addition to the interior. For this you will need:

  • Fabric for embroidery;
  • Needles and threads;
  • Embroidery scheme or drawing.

The easiest way is to embroider a valentine with a cross. To do this, just find the embroidery pattern, transfer it to the fabric, and then put it in a frame. For embroidery, you will have to spend a little time, but such a gift is rare and you can show a person how dear he is to you.

Stitch embroidery opens up a lot of room for imagination for needlewomen. By embroidering with satin stitch, you can transfer almost any pattern to the fabric, for this you just need to have a desire. You can make inscriptions in the original font, embroider hearts and much more.

Important! Try to find a beautiful frame for your embroidery, it is also an important design element and gives the gift a beautiful and finished look.

DIY valentines for kids: templates

As you know, children also love to give each other valentines, and if your child is still in kindergarten or primary school, then you will have to help him. Of course, at such a young age, valentines cards for February 14 are congratulations, not declarations of love, but it’s still better to try so that your child can assert himself.

It will be easiest to use templates for manufacturing, they are not difficult to find, and they are diverse. When you make do-it-yourself valentines for children, it is best to choose the templates that will be the easiest for the child to make. After all, not all children are engaged in appliqué or other types of crafts.

Templates make it much easier for parents, as they are easy to print on paper, cut out and sign. Of course, you can buy such postcards in stores and simply sign them, but for a child, as well as for an adult, it will be much more pleasant to give gifts that are made by yourself.

There are many ways to make a Valentine. It can be a postcard, a booklet, a box, a picture, a photograph, a pillow. The most important thing is desire and a little imagination. Handmade gifts are always valued more than just bought in a store. Happy Valentine's Day!

Share your Valentines in the comments!

Valentine's Day is one of the first holidays of the year. On this day, lovers traditionally give each other paper valentines. You can buy these cute postcards in almost any store in the run-up to the holiday, but they are all pretty standard. Instead of buying something ordinary, you can make a valentine with your own hands. There are many options for making paper hearts, from the simplest to the most complex and original.

Where to begin?

Having decided on a specific idea, you need to find a suitable template on the Internet or make it yourself. If you decide to make a complex Valentine, you may also need additional templates for small parts of the card.

In order not to spoil the outline of the template, it is worth cutting it out with a clerical knife or small scissors.

simple valentine

The simplest version of a valentine is a heart cut out of paper or cardboard. Anyone can make such a postcard and it requires a minimum waste of time. If a red paper heart seems like something simple, you can diversify it a little, taking, for example, printed paper. It is better to refuse the use of foil and wrapping paper, as it is too thin to serve as the basis for a postcard.

There is another way to make the card more interesting: you can cut out any geometric shape or a smaller heart in the middle of a paper heart. Such a Valentine will look very unusual.

Do-it-yourself multi-layered valentines made of paper also have their own zest. To make them, you need to cut several blanks of the same size, and then fasten them together in the center. All warm words and wishes can be written on the back, flat side of the valentine. In front, the heart will be voluminous.

Use of seals

There are many more ideas on how to make a truly original postcard. For example, you can use seals instead of the usual decorative elements. You can buy them at one of the stationery stores or make your own.

A cork from a bottle of wine or champagne is perfect as a basis for a stamp. The main thing is that it should be made of natural materials, not plastic. To make a signet, you need to draw on the cork the shape you need (for example, a heart) and then cut it out with a clerical knife. Before using a stamp, it is worth testing it: using a sponge, you need to apply a little paint to the resulting workpiece and try to leave an impression. If everything was done correctly and it turned out to make an even print, then the homemade stamp is completely ready for use. Such prints will look very cute and original.

Postcard with imprint

Another interesting way to decorate a valentine is with handprints. Such a card will constantly remind your soulmate of you. In addition, this option does not require any additional steps. You just need to dip your hand in paint and leave your imprint on paper. This is done simply, but it looks very unusual. You can't buy these postcards in a store.

Composite postcards

Some of the composite postcards look quite complicated, but they are actually very easy to make with your own hands. For example, you can make many small hearts, and then make a valentine out of them. Or make a big heart out of small paper flowers. Everyone can make roses out of paper: just cut thin strips and twist them in such a way that you get a bud. This is somewhat similar to the quilling technique, but anyone can handle it. Even if you do not twist all the details to the end, the postcard will look very neat.

Another simple option is a layered heart. For example, you can cut out three hearts (large, medium, and small) and then glue them together. How the postcard will look depends only on your imagination, because you can add decorative elements to it. The main thing when creating such an application is caution in working with glue. It is best to first squeeze it onto a brush and only then apply it to the desired part. This will avoid the appearance of stains on the postcard.

Volumetric hearts

You can also make voluminous valentines with your own hands from paper, cardboard and other materials. Making them is quite simple, although it will take a little more time than making flat valentines.

For the first option you will need: colored corrugated paper, cardboard (used as a base), toothpick, glue, scissors. The first step is to cut out the base from cardboard according to the template, or draw a heart of any size. Then it is necessary to apply glue on it, evenly distributing it throughout the future valentine. You need to cut out several small squares from corrugated paper. In order to connect the resulting blanks with the base, you need a toothpick: you must first stick it into the center of the corrugated paper square and then attach it to the cardboard base. This must be done with all the squares. The result should be a three-dimensional postcard.

Fragrant valentines

Recently, the question of how to make a valentine out of paper has already faded into the background. A paper heart made of cardboard does not surprise anyone anymore. But figurines made from natural materials are gaining popularity. For example, you can give your soulmate a heart made from whole coffee beans. The main advantage of such a gift is that it gives a wonderful unobtrusive aroma. For it you will need: a wooden stick, cardboard, scissors, a pack of cotton pads, glue, threads, coffee beans. Everything is done very simply:

  • First, two medium-sized hearts are cut out of cardboard. The blanks are glued to the stick.
  • Then cotton pads are glued layer by layer on the cardboard base. The result should be a fairly voluminous figure. You need to let it dry.
  • When the glue is dry, the workpiece is wrapped with threads so that they completely cover all cotton pads.
  • Then it remains only to glue the grains of aromatic coffee on the threads.

When the heart itself is ready, you can proceed to decorating: usually such a heart is presented in a flower pot. If desired, you can decorate the leg with ribbons or add a little sparkle.

Knitted postcard

In the manufacture of valentines, you can use other interesting materials. For example, yarn, beads or buttons. With their help, you can make very original postcards. Beads and buttons will be excellent decorative elements, but yarn in this case has a wider use.

One of the easiest options for making valentines from yarn will not cause any difficulties for anyone. First you need to cut out the base from the cardboard. Then the inner part is removed from the center of the workpiece. The residual side part, about two cm thick, must be wrapped with threads. The resulting card can be decorated according to your own taste. Also, if desired, you can use a pin to pin a text with declarations of love to such a heart.

Yarn can also be used to make a loop or cord, which is commonly used on tags. These auxiliary elements will turn the valentine into a themed gift tag.

Fabric valentines

This version of a valentine is for those who know how to sew or are at least a little familiar with the theory of this process. The easiest way to demonstrate your sewing talent is to make a felt heart with your own hands. This is a very affordable material that is quite easy to work with. In addition, today you can buy felt of almost any color, which gives a large field for creativity.

A synthetic winterizer is usually used as filling for felt valentines. You can fasten the details of the figure with glue or a suture method. The first method is perfect for those who are not very good with thread and needle. Children are also advised to work only with glue, avoiding sharp objects.

The main thing in the seamless method is to work very carefully. Most often, such products are decorated with applique, which is attached to the workpiece with glue.

It is best to sew the details of the product on a sewing machine. It's much easier and faster than doing everything by hand. And machine seams are more durable and look much more neat.

Hearts sewn from patches of various fabrics look interesting. It is best to use natural materials that have similar textures. In this case, sewing the flaps together will be much easier. Instead of cotton wool or other soft filler, you can put various herbs in such a valentine, for example, lavender, which has a calming effect.

Now the popularity of valentines has reached great heights. And really, isn't this a good way of declaring love? A heart-shaped card is the perfect option to communicate your sincere and tender feelings. As a rule, the message should be written with the left hand, or try to change your own handwriting. To preserve the intrigue, it is better not to sign the Valentine.

In stores, if you try, you can find very original and bright postcards for February 14th. However, it is most pleasant to receive a valentine made by yourself. By creating such a small miracle, a person puts a tiny part of his soul into it. I offer you unique master classes - how to create valentines with your own hands with step-by-step photos.

How to make valentines with your own hands

You can often hear that Valentine's Day is not a Russian holiday, but does the origin of this celebration matter? The tradition of exchanging postcards has already become very firmly established in our culture.

Shops specializing in souvenirs and postcards offer the most incredible types of gifts, ranging from a standard postcard to congratulations in the form of crossword puzzles, puzzles and charades.

Despite such a wide selection of romantic products, lovers strive not to deviate from traditions and create paper valentines with their own hands.

It is very difficult to resist the cutest postcards in the form of hearts, which are usually presented on St. Valentine.

The beauty of such handmade cards is that with the help of these paper hearts people want to express their love and tenderness.

How to make a two-color valentine

In this master class, I will show you how to make such a craft. It can also be used as a gift bag.

We will need paper in two colors, in my case it is red and white. If you want to use it as a bag, then it is better to take cardboard. The size of the craft is up to you. So, we take the paper, fold it in half and draw just such a diagram.

Cut the strips with scissors.

We skip the first strip of white paper between the strips of red. The next red one is between the white stripes, and so on.

Then we take the next white strip and do the same in a checkerboard pattern.

Our first craft is ready!

DIY valentines for decorating the interior

In this master class, we will look at how to make such hearts to decorate walls, windows, curtains, and so on. I think your soulmate will be pleasantly surprised to see such a colorful decoration, which will undoubtedly give a festive mood.

We cut out hearts of various sizes from red paper.

We make cuts like this.

We apply glue to the edge of the paper and glue it, creating a bulge, as shown in the photo. We do the same with all the other hearts.

Attach to the wall with thin double-sided tape. If you plan to decorate curtains, then you can attach with tailor's needles with a ball on the tip (they are also called a "hatpin").

DIY quilling valentine pendant

Quilling - in our opinion, this is paper rolling, that is, the manufacture of various compositions and decorations from twisted special paper strips. In this master class, I will show you how to make such a decoration - a pendant with your own hands using the quilling technique.

We buy special paper for quilling.

We twist these spirals.

Glue the end of the strip.

We make such two spirals of different sizes.

And another small tight circle. Then, pressing one edge with two fingers, we give it such a shape, as shown in the figure.

We assemble the structure - we glue together all the elements.

That's all, our heart-shaped pendant is ready.

A gift for lovers "Hearts connected by the golden thread of the fate of Moira Klotho"

According to Greek mythology, the fate of people is woven with golden threads by one of the three moiras - Klotho. That is why we decided to add this element to the decor of our gift for the day of love, family and fidelity. Two hearts are tightly connected with each other by fate itself, what could be more romantic. It’s not at all difficult to make such a craft with your own hands and it will take a little time, but what a subtext!

You can mold similar souvenirs from clay or buy plastic, but the most accessible and popular material was and is - salt dough. It is done very simply:

  1. We take a tablespoon and measure out an equal amount of finely ground salt and any flour. We mix.
  2. You can add just water, but it is better to mix it with PVA glue in a 1: 1 ratio. For 2 st. spoons of salt flour put 2 teaspoons of water.
  3. Mix the resulting mass well in a convenient container, and then knead it in your hands. We put it in a package. After 10-15 min. salty dough is ready to make a valentine out of it with your own hands.

Let's start creating:
1. We sculpt two flat hearts. Of course, you can roll out a layer of dough and cut out the figures with a special mold, but we don’t need banal stamping.

2. We make prints on our blanks. We used an old openwork comb, embossed buttons, knitted napkins, lace or just intricately twisted ropes are also suitable.

3. Before sending the product to dry, do not forget to make holes. Drying time depends on the thickness of the dough, ours dried for about 2 days. You can speed up the process and bake the hearts in the oven. If it gets too brown, use it as a decorative technique and add flames.

4. Decorate crafts. We did not cover up the curls and only slightly shaded them, and the mother-of-pearl only emphasized the relief. Salt dough takes any paint well, although some may require a preliminary primer, for example, for acrylic. Gouache, watercolor and even lipstick fit perfectly.

5. It remains to tie the golden threads, each heart has its own. We intertwine them according to the principle of chain links.

"Hearts bound by the golden thread of Moira Klotho" - With such a DIY craft made from salt dough, you can also decorate a frame with a wedding photo. If you don’t have one yet, glue magnets on each heart and a gift for the day of love, family and fidelity will turn into an exclusive holder for love messages on the refrigerator - after all, there is not a day that we don’t look into it).

DIY photo frame "You are in my heart"

I suggest you make a do-it-yourself photo frame “You are in my heart”, it can easily become a souvenir for March 8 or a gift for the Day of Love, Family and Fidelity. And it is even more pleasant to receive such gifts, made with your own hands just like that, from the heart and for no reason!

It is most convenient to sculpt the frames from polymer clay or plastic, but for the "pen test" we chose a more accessible material - salt dough. To prepare it, we need:

  • 1/2 cup any flour
  • 1/2 cup finely ground salt
  • 1/4 cup tap water.

After drying the product, the dough will become stronger if water is mixed with PVA glue, some add wallpaper paste. And yet, after all the ingredients are mixed, the dough should be well kneaded in your hands and removed for 10-15 minutes in a plastic bag. It will become more plastic and uniform.

Let's start creating a photo frame with your own hands:
1. We make our heart out of two parts. We roll the dough into sausages so that the middle is thicker than the edges. We connect them and give shape. We also sculpt a couple more small hearts, they will become pendants.

2. We flatten the blanks. We did this with a book wrapped in cling film. We trim the edges. We got a small wave on the inside, we decided to leave it, it's even more interesting. We sculpt 3 more tiny hearts, they will be connected in a row and become the third pendant.

3. We make holes, three on the frame itself and one each on the pendant hearts. Tiny can not make holes. Once again, we critically evaluate our craft from salt dough, if necessary, we correct, smooth it and send it to dry.

4. We decided to add decor to the frame and blinded three small flowers on bent stems. The middle ones were made recessed, since rhinestones will be glued into them. Flowers also need to be dried.

5. When all the details of the gift for your loved ones dry well and become hard as a stone, you can start painting. We used gouache. Mother-of-pearl coating is a very inexpensive eye shadow!

6. We work with super glue. We choose the most liked composition with flowers, applying them this way and that, then glue them. Don't forget the rhinestones! Cut the string to the desired length. We put a drop of glue on each small heart without holes, put them in a row at the right distance and put the prepared piece of fishing line into the glue.

7. We collect all parts of the frame. Threading the fishing line into the holes, we tie all the pendants. We choose the length of the fishing line arbitrarily, as you like. By choosing fishing tackle, we hoped to lighten the composition and give the product airiness. It seems to have succeeded, although a thin chain would have looked just as good.

So the gift is ready, created with your own hands with a soul, and most importantly, in a single copy! If there is varnish in a spray can, it's great, its thin layer will give the product not only shine, but also protect the decorative coating.

How to mold a gift for Valentine's Day from plasticine

This lesson tells you how to make an interesting congratulatory heart out of ordinary plasticine - a souvenir for Valentine's Day.

Before February 14, children and educators, teachers will be looking for such lessons to make gifts, so this information is especially for them.

For a small congratulatory heart, prepare:

  • plasticine - it is desirable that among the bars there are red or lilac, as well as green colors;
  • toothpick.

The heart itself can be scarlet or lilac, as shown in this tutorial. It will also be decorated with roses. Bright flowers are the companions of any holiday, especially when it comes to Valentine's Day. Green is needed for the leaves. Open the set, take the pieces that you like. On sale today you can find different plasticine, even neon, glitter or hot pink, so focus on the one you have.

Knead a red or lilac block of plasticine in your hands. So that the heart is not too small, but also fits in the palm of your hand, do not spare the main plasticine. If it is difficult to knead the bar completely at once, then do it gradually, in parts, and then bring it into a large ball.

Press the soft mass in the form of a ball from above. But don't make the cake too flat. In the future, this blank should be turned into a voluminous heart. Squeeze the cake with your fingers from below, sharpening the tip, and also press it from above, giving a characteristic, well-known shape. When the main heart is ready, take care of the decoration.

Pull out a few thin threads to simulate roses. All threads can be scarlet, or use 3 different colors for decoration (white, yellow and red). Glue small green dots on one side of the heart. Press down on top of each with a toothpick.

A few teardrop-shaped green leaves will also be needed. Draw veins on top with a toothpick. Twist the red, white and yellow threads into spirals. These will be original rosebuds. Three pieces are enough or cook more.

On the other side of the heart, form a bouquet. First, glue a few green leaves, then attach 3 flower spirals. Such a decoration will ennoble a plasticine valentine, it will immediately become bright, expressive.

An interesting gift for Valentine's Day is ready. We easily molded it from plasticine to please our soul mate or the dearest person.

Paper valentine card

In this master class, we will make an original Valentine card in the form of a heart-shaped balloon.

To make a postcard, we need:

  • A sheet of white and pink (red) paper;
  • Simple pencil;
  • Felt pens (colored pencils);
  • Scissors;
  • Glue stationery.

First, let's make a template. To do this, bend the sheet in half and draw a half heart from the fold line. Then, without unbending the sheet, we cut out the part and unfold it. It turns out the heart. So we got a flat part with the same sides.

Now cut out 2 identical hearts from pink or red paper. To do this, we apply a template and circle it. And then cut out the resulting heart.

Glue 1 piece onto a white sheet of paper. To make it more convenient, it is better to stick closer to the top of the sheet. And from the heart we begin to draw the basket itself with a simple pencil. We draw ropes and bags that are tied to the sides.

Then we will draw with a felt-tip pen. We circle the ropes in green. Please note that the first 3 strings are in the foreground, so they go from the heart to the front of the basket. That is, the lines cross the back side and exit forward. 1 rope on the sides and 2 on the back.

Paint the bags with any color. With a brown felt-tip pen, draw vertical stripes on the basket to imitate boards. It is desirable to draw stripes at approximately the same distance from each other.

Color the basket itself yellow. Now we take scissors and cut out the resulting balloon. But we cut it out, slightly stepping back from the edge so that there is a white stroke. But don't make it too wide.

Now we take the second heart and glue it on white paper. Cut out, also stepping back from the edges.

Now we bend the heart in the center, but do not draw a crease. We just raise the sides a little. We coat the fold with glue and glue the part to the main one so that the fold is in the center of the first heart. That is, we put one heart on top of the other.

The white stroke of the top heart can be smeared with red shiny nail polish. You can use a shiny pen. And you can not touch and leave as is.

It remains to write congratulations and the card is ready!

Souvenir - a pebble with a valentine from salt dough master class

Making an original souvenir with your own hands is much easier than it might seem at first glance. We made our salt dough craft. The figurine is so simple that even a child can make such a cat with a heart. In addition, all the ingredients for making such a gift are the most affordable materials.

All we need is:

  • one st. a spoonful of flour and salt;
  • one teaspoon of water and PVA glue;
  • crayons, pastels or eye shadow;
  • lacquer from a can (if not, hairspray is also suitable).

Let's get started.
1. From flour, salt, water and glue, we make a dough-like mass. We knead it well in our hands.

2. We pinch off a small piece of dough and sculpt a heart. We flatten the remaining material and form a flat rectangle out of it with elongated corners.

3. We send the workpiece to dry. You can speed up the process with an oven.
4. We turn the dried dough into a kind of stone. Rub the dry dye into the figure with your fingers. It is not necessary to make the stone gray.

5. With a pencil, felt-tip pen or paints, draw a muzzle, paws and tail on a pebble.

6. It remains only to glue the heart and sprinkle the craft with varnish, which is not necessary at all.

Here is a souvenir made from salt dough with your own hands, made with love. The pebble cat can become a fridge magnet with which you can attach a love note. They can decorate a box with a gift and it will be much more interesting than a banal bow. And if at the stage of modeling the figurine is carefully perforated, you will get an exclusive keychain for lovers.

Do-it-yourself panel for Valentine's Day

By the day of all lovers, it is customary to congratulate not only your halves, but also friends and girlfriends. What can you give a friend who is fond of needlework herself? DIY gifts are always appreciated, even if your girlfriend can do a lot of things on her own.

You can give her a box for storing beads, buttons, decorated using the decoupage or scrapbooking technique, a set for storing tools, and other handicrafts. Or you can tie a small needle bed in the shape of a heart and place it in a heart frame-stand.

Such a needle bed can be mounted on the wall near the needlework table and all needles and pins will always be at hand and certainly will never be lost. A gift with your own hands, in addition, carries a piece of your soul and is always filled with positive energy. Some craftsmen argue that do-it-yourself gifts can serve as a kind of amulets.

Any hanks of yarn, knitting needles, a hook, a small piece of soft wire, any filler (cotton wool, sintepuh, polystyrene) are useful for work.

First, we collect 100 loops on the knitting needles and knit 3-4 rows in stocking stitch.

Closing the loops, insert a thin wire into the resulting cord and sew the cord.

To get a more aesthetic appearance of the cord, we tie it over the hook with single crochets, while covering the entire cord.

Due to the soft thin wire, the cord can be given any shape. We bend it in the shape of a heart. It is permissible to make a slightly irregular shape for the heart.

Let's start knitting the needle heart. We knit a chain from 15 air loops, make another loop for lifting and knit a square with single crochet stitches.

Then we knit semicircles from two adjacent sides of the square.

We get a heart. But for the needle bar, we need two such details. We repeat the previous steps and knit the second part of the heart.

We sew the heart, fill it with filler.

At the edges, you can tie it with lace using a hook.

Now it's time for decor. As a decor, we will make some cheerful flowers. First we make the middle.

And then we tie them with colored petals.

The last step is sewing all the elements of our panel onto the “heart” frame-frame.

Now you can mount it in the work area. Well, if you like the idea of a gift with your own hands, then complete it with chocolate and a card. Your friend will be delighted.

Soap-heart handmade

For some, it is considered a favorite thing to watch your favorite TV shows, for someone - to sit with your favorite book or play an interesting game on the computer, but someone likes to do their favorite hobby. So, for many, a favorite hobby is soap making. In this master class I want to tell you how to make handmade soap-heart.

Before you start making soap, you should prepare everything you need:

  • soap base white;
  • dyes: red, purple and green;
  • alcohol;
  • perfume to your taste;
  • pipettes or syringes;
  • stirring sticks;
  • dishes under the soap base;
  • soap mold.

When everything is at hand, it is easier to do everything. Before pouring the soap base into the mold, it must be sprinkled with alcohol, this will make it easier to remove the soap from the mold.

The soap base must be cut into pieces and melted in the microwave at the lowest temperature.

Then add color and flavor there. I will make the inscription "I love you" in green. You need to fill it carefully, using a syringe or pipette, so that the mass does not go beyond the edges of the inscription. Now you should wait until the layer dries. If there are air bubbles on it, then you need to sprinkle with alcohol, this will help remove them.

While the layer dries, prepare the base for pouring another layer. The next layer I want to make is purple. To do this, melt the soap base in the microwave and add purple dye and flavor to it. The more dye you put in, the more saturated the color will turn out.

On the frozen previous layer, pour a purple base. Before this, the hard layer must be scratched and sprinkled with alcohol. This is necessary so that they stick together better. It is necessary to pour in such a way that there is enough space in the form for the last layer. We leave the purple layer to dry, but for now we are preparing the next layer.

The last layer will be red. To do this, melt the soap base in the microwave and add red dye and fragrance to it. Do not forget to scratch the bottom layer and sprinkle with alcohol.

Everything, on this original heart-shaped soap is ready, you can give it to your beloved girl or boyfriend. A handmade gift is always more expensive than a purchased one.

Do-it-yourself valentines with a paper butterfly

Here is such an elegant and original craft with a beautiful butterfly. It can also be used as a gift bag.

Print and transfer onto paper folded in half.

Of course, you can choose any color of the butterfly, in my case it is white and blue.

We make such cuts to the middle of the butterfly. In one half - from below, in the other - from above on both sides.

We assemble the structure - we “thread” two halves into these cuts, first on one side, then on the other.

Well, that's all, a do-it-yourself valentine with a butterfly is ready! I think it would look nice in red and white too.

Cut out as shown in the photo.

And we assemble the structure by threading the curls of the spiral into each other.

The history of valentines

Valentine's Day belongs to the ancient holidays, so it has acquired a whole range of stories related to the traditions of this celebration.

The appearance of written valentines is usually attributed to the 15th century. However, it is impossible to say exactly who exactly became the author of the first such message. There is an opinion that the Duke of Orleans was the discoverer of this tradition, and it was in 1415.

During this period of time, the Duke was in captivity, and he greatly missed his familiar surroundings. Most of all, he yearned for his wife, and therefore began to create such postcards in which he sincerely described his high feelings for his wife. In the British Museum, you can still look at the very first Valentine, which gave rise to such a glorious and enduring tradition.

Another theory is that the first such postcard was found in 1477 in a British library. This valentine was written by a girl who asked her beloved to prove to her the sincerity of her feelings. In addition, she wrote that she would insist on a larger dowry if the man agreed to start a family with her. This postcard was purchased from a family of librarians in the distant thirties. However, it has only recently become public knowledge.

Valentines began to gain popularity closer to the 18th century. With the help of such cards, young people in love conveyed their feelings to each other. The inhabitants of England experienced a great passion for writing these postcards; in this country, hearts were made from colored paper and also signed exclusively with colored ink.

The popularity of sensual cards has led people to become more and more serious about their creation, so messages in the form of an acrostic began to appear. In such a verse, the first letters of each line make up a certain word, often, it was the name of a beloved or beloved.

The card was cut out with scissors and decorated around the edges with tiny letters. Such a message could not leave indifferent. A special stencil was actively used to decorate them.

The first serial batch of love cards was released at the beginning of the 19th century. They were hand-drawn and presented in black and white. They did not make a big stir, nevertheless, no one canceled the progress, and soon colorful and bright postcards appeared.

All over the world, Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th. For many years, the main tradition of this holiday has been the presentation of valentines.

In addition to popular stories about the appearance of the main attribute of this holiday, there are also several less well-known ones. One of them tells how one minister of the church named Terni Valentine was sentenced to death. His fault was that, contrary to the emperor's ban on the marriage of soldiers, he entered into marriage alliances between soldiers and their lovers.

Thorny Valentine was a true minister of the church, but while waiting for his bitter fate, he experienced a truly wonderful feeling that connected all those couples he married at one time. Ternii Valentine sincerely fell in love with the daughter of the executioner, who was supposed to execute him.

On the day of the planned execution, Valentine wrote a beautiful and romantic letter to his beloved, as a signature he noted "from your Valentine." Already after the execution, he was called a martyr and he was considered another victim who suffered for the church.

February 14 was made Valentine's Day. The letter, written by a Christian martyr, has become a symbol and tradition of the main holiday of all the loving hearts of the world.

From the foregoing, it can be seen that there are quite a few theories about the appearance of valentines, but there is still something in common in these stories, each of them is permeated with a great feeling called love.

Love is the most beautiful feeling for which people did not spare their lives and went to great lengths to reunite loving hearts. Life is unpredictable and can have both pleasant and unpleasant turns, in order to survive all the hardships, you must definitely look for your love.

How to make such a souvenir - see here ..

It absolutely does not matter which story is true, what is much more important is that this holiday is very loved in all countries of the world. Especially the younger generation. And of course, everyone remembers the cute postcards that are the best congratulations on this day. Now young lovers often exchange virtual valentines.

Valentine's day traditions

It's time to move on to the traditions of Valentine's Day. In all corners of the world, people in love are waiting for this romantic holiday. It has existed for a very long time and over the years it has simply acquired various kinds of traditions.

Each country can boast of its own customs associated with this identity. Congratulations on Valentine's Day are not always limited to giving a Valentine card or going to a restaurant for romantic get-togethers. A large number of loving people seek to legitimize their relationship on February 14th.

  1. In some countries, the representatives of the stronger sex present clothes to their ladies on Valentine's Day. If the gift is accepted, the woman gives her consent to the creation of a strong and loving family. Of course, the clothes are far from the original gift, however, the approach itself is very unusual.
  2. An old story says that before any girl in love could approach the object of her feelings and ask him to become her husband. If the man refused, then he had to present a silk dress as a gift to the woman, and put on a silk belt with a heart strung on it. Now this tradition is not relevant, but all the same, brides and grooms try to show originality when choosing a gift.
  3. A very interesting belief is that the first man a girl meets on Valentine's Day should be her Valentine. At the same time, the desire of the representative of the stronger sex is not particularly taken into account.
  4. There is a sign that a girl who sees a robin on Valentine's Day is destined to marry a sailor. If the fair sex met a goldfinch, then the groom will be rich, and the met sparrow promises a happy life with a poor husband. In fact, an interesting prediction will be an original and unusual gift.
  5. For more than one century, European young ladies have been writing their names on pieces of paper on Valentine's Day, and then putting them in a box. A man is invited to randomly pull out one piece of paper, thereby determining his companion for the coming year.
