The figure of the Snow Maiden can be molded from plasticine, made from paper, cardboard and other things, it all depends on what materials and techniques you are going to use. There are many options, and the choice is yours!

Suit of Snow Maiden

Are you thinking about how to make a Snow Maiden costume with your own hands? The first step in creating any costume is to make a pattern. For those who do not have experience in such matters, there is an extremely easy way:

  • Take the child's T-shirt and circle it on the cardboard.
  • To the resulting drawing, draw a skirt so that you get a dress. Do not forget to measure the height of the girl in the process to make the hem of the dress the desired length.
  • Cut out the resulting pattern from cardboard or unnecessary wallpaper.
  • Transfer the pattern to the fabric.
  • From the front, the neckline should be slightly larger than from the back, and its volume should correspond to the size of the child's head so that the dress can be worn freely.
  • Add about 1-1.5 cm to the pattern on each side - these will be seam allowances.
  • Don't forget the cutouts for the sleeves.
  • Cut out the pattern on the fabric.
  • Cut out the sleeves from the fabric (most often they are made long).
  • Sew the sides and sew the sleeves.
  • Sew a piping along the sleeves, neckline and hem. The dress is ready, it's time to move on to decorating it.
  • Sheathe the hem with tinsel, rain or fur.
  • On the front of the dress from the neck to the hem, sew large sequins or fur in two vertical rows. This can be finished - the Snow Maiden's dress is ready.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult in making a New Year's outfit. Any girl can cope with this costume, even one who has never sewed anything.

Crown of the Snow Maiden

In addition to the dress, the Snow Maiden needs a crown. Don't know how to make a Snow Maiden's crown? Everything is very simple - first decide what form it should be. It can be an ordinary cylinder, a complex design, like the Snow Queen, or an ordinary flat one, consult with the child what he wants.

To make a crown, follow the instructions below:

  1. Measure the size of the child's head.
  2. Draw a rectangle on a piece of cardboard. The size of the horizontal side is the volume of the girl's head, plus leave 1-2 cm for the connection. The height of the rectangle depends on the expected height of the crown.
  3. Draw a pattern in height that should decorate the crown of the Snow Maiden.
  4. Carefully cut out the layout.
  5. Fasten the resulting pattern with tape, a stapler, or glue it with glue. The base of the crown is ready.
  6. Decoration. There are two options - the crown can be painted or covered with fabric. The choice is yours. The fabric will give the design a grace, but it is much faster to purchase a can of paint in the same color as the suit from the store. A drawn or painted crown can be decorated with lace, paper-cut snowflakes, sequins, sequins, rhinestones, and more.

Kokoshnik for the Snow Maiden

The crown on her head looks beautiful, but according to fairy tales, the granddaughter of Santa Claus wore a kokoshnik on her head. Do not forget that the Snow Maiden is a Russian folk character. 5. Decoration materials (beads, stones, rhinestones, beads, etc.).
  6. Scissors.
  7. Simple pencil.
  8. Yardstick.
  9. Ribbon for decoration.

  • Cut the template along the drawn outer contour and unfold it.
  • Attach the bezel to the central part and draw a dotted line along it.
  • Step back 2 centimeters to the center and draw another arc along which you need to cut the kokoshnik. By hand, cut the so-called teeth 2 cm long.
  • Don't know how to make a kokoshnik from cardboard for the Snow Maiden? Attach the finished template made from newspaper to the cardboard and cut it out.
  • Bend the teeth, coat them with glue and attach the kokoshnik to the inside of the headband.
  • From the central part of the petal to the top, draw straight lines and cut them.
  • Put the design on the child's head and slightly tilting the petals back, glue the overlapping points together. It is very important that the middle petal is the top one.
  • Decorate the kokoshnik in accordance with the wishes and materials that are available. For example, you can sheathe the edge with braid or sew tinsel in the form of Christmas tree branches there. Do not forget that the kokoshnik should be beautiful on both sides.
  • Sew beautiful ribbons on the sides to tie at the back of the head. This will make the product not only more beautiful, but also help to fix it better on the child’s head.
  • Glue beautiful lace or braid on top of the hoop. The last two steps can be connected by taking long ribbons and gluing them in such a way that 30-50 cm are left on both sides for tying.

Now you know how to make a Snow Maiden costume for a girl. As you can see, there is nothing complicated in this, it just takes imagination and a little time, which is more than compensated by the smile of your child.

Christmas toys can be made from cardboard, paper, plastic bottles or cotton wool. We present you a simplified version of the manufacture of the Snow Maiden from cotton wool.

To make an unusual fake in the form of a Snow Maiden from cotton wool, you will need the following materials:

  • Cotton wool;
  • Wire for creating the base;
  • Paper;
  • Brushes for coloring toys;
  • Paints;
  • PVA glue;
  • Jewelry - beads, sequins.
  • Potato starch (1 tablespoon);
  • Wooden stand.

We will make crafts in three stages:

  • Prepare the base of the wire and glue it with cotton wool;
  • Let's make the head of the Snow Maiden and draw the face;
  • Let's color the resulting toy.

First, we make the base of the wire and connect it to the stand. As a stand, you can use any material made of wood or plastic.

We prepare glue from starch - dilute potato starch in cold water, mix thoroughly until all lumps disappear and pour 200 milliliters of boiled water. Cotton wool is sorted into strips. We generously lubricate each strip of cotton wool with the resulting paste and wind it on the frame, carefully spreading it along the length. We impose cotton wool to the required volume.

Do not forget to thickly cover the cotton wool with glue to form a strong crust. At this stage, it is necessary to dry the blanks at the battery for one or two days. For a clearer expression of the contour, you can re-paste the frame. I am giving you an example of the resulting workpiece.

To make the head and face, you need to pick up a doll or figurine. We prepare several layers of paper and coat each with PVA glue. Wet the base with water so that the paper does not stick. After laying all the layers of paper, let it dry and remove it.

It should be a mask. We form a hat from cotton wool, connect it with a mask and dry it thoroughly.

"Christmas story".
One early morning Santa Claus woke up in his fairy-tale palace. He looked at the calendar, and there was only one leaf, December 31st. “What should I do?”, - the children in kindergarten will soon have a Christmas tree, “but I didn’t prepare gifts for them.”
Santa Claus called all his granddaughters Snow Maidens to a silver meadow and ordered them to collect a bag with gifts for the guys.
The Snow Maidens reassured Santa Claus that they would have time to complete everything before the New Year.
And in memory of this day, they took a photo.

Equipment: paper napkins, disposable spoons, plasticine, Christmas tree rain threads.

Progress:
We take a spoon and half a bar of plasticine. We set the spoon on a block of plasticine, as on a stand.

We take a napkin, fold it in half so that the center of the napkin is the top.

Fold the napkin in half again.

Cut off the bottom of the napkin.

Cut off the corner of the napkin. We remove the spoon from the stand and put the napkins into the upper hole.

We tighten the skirt with a thread of rain. We make another skirt and also pull it together on a spoon.

We take another napkin and make a collar, folding it across and folding it like a pot.

Pull the collar over the skirt.

On a plasticine spoon we make eyes, bangs, mouth and eyebrows.

We make a braid from threads, a crown from paper. We glue.

We put the resulting crown on a spoon. Here we have such a snow maiden.

Ball of the Snow Maiden.

New Years is soon. You will, of course, dedicate the evening to carving snowflakes. Try to make yourself also a fabulous cardboard house with a snow-covered (cotton) roof, with a light (bulb) in a small window. Place next to Santa Claus and the original Snow Maiden made of paper. A hand-made granddaughter of Santa Claus using the origami technique will be cuter and dearer than the one you buy in the store.

Modular Snow Maiden

It is rare to see when a man is engaged in such needlework, the more valuable is the origami master class from paper modules, which is presented in this video. On it, a knowledgeable needleworker calmly, thoroughly and scrupulously, like a real man, tells and shows how to make a voluminous snow maiden from modules with his own hands.

To complete the work, it is necessary to prepare modules of two sizes from paper of two colors. The scheme is quite simple. Small modules are made up of rectangles half the size of those from which large ones are made.

An excellent handmade gift will be a snow maiden in a kokoshnik with wraparound floors of a long fur coat.

  • Draw a sketch of the postcard. Fold it in half and make sure it is perfectly symmetrical. Fold the sides towards the middle and make sure that the fur coat floors slightly overlap each other. Only now, according to the template, you can make a blank by cutting it out of thick paper.

  • Using the template, cut out the “onion” of the top of the postcard from colored beautiful paper. Now you need to make a face. To do this, cut out a circle of pink paper, draw hair, eyes, nose and lips on it and glue it to the kokoshnik.

  • From the same paper as the kokoshnik, you can cut out the floors of the fur coat, again using the original template. Glue white paper strips along the edge, grease them with PVA glue on top and lay out a thin layer of cotton wool. Thus, we made a fur edge on a fur coat with our own hands.

  • Cut out small mittens with the same edges and glue them as shown in the photo.

  • It remains to make an origami sundress for our beauty with our own hands. Cut it out of colored paper, decorate it with snowflakes and write your wishes. Sequins on a kokoshnik and a fur coat are easy to apply with ordinary glitter nail polish.

An original idea can come in handy for congratulations-jokes to your beloved man. Glue your photo instead of a face, and instead of a sarafan, draw a slender figure 90-60-90 in a bikini. Well, do not forget to wish something.

To make an origami Snow Maiden with your own hands, you will need:

  • scheme;
  • a sheet of blue paper with a white wrong side;
  • a sheet of yellow paper with a white wrong side;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Scheme of work execution

  • For origami, you need to cut a square from a blue leaflet. Fold it horizontally and vertically, expand it, thus marking the axes. Wrap a little two opposite vertical edges. Wrap both upper corners to the middle, and tuck the bottom of the fur coat.

  • Turn the origami upside down. Now you first need to make two oblique lines with a pencil from the upper central corner, dividing it into 4 equal corners, and wrap the sides of the origami to the middle. Remove the lower protruding corners inside the crafts, and bend the upper corner to the front side. Flip the origami over again.

  • Take a strip of white paper and fold it in half twice as shown in the diagram. Glue them in the middle. The coat is ready.
