Ksenia box's voice. Ksenia Korobkova: “I don’t want to disappear from view.” “It happens that there are ten strong, cool vocalists in a row, and everyone says: “Yes, yes, yes, yes...”. And then the eleventh one comes out, it’s cool, but they’ve already recruited them, that’s enough.”

Today, December 23, the semi-final of the Channel One show “The Voice” was aired. According to the results of the last program, Ksenia Korobkova, a native of the Kursk region, also became one of the eight semi-finalists.

This time, the girl fighting for the right to reach the finals had to fight only one teammate - Daria Antonyuk. Even before the girls appeared on stage, Leonid Agutin noted in a quick interview that he liked the trend: “if I write a song for a participant, he wins the show.” Considering that Ksenia reached the semi-finals thanks to the song “Adagio” - the words to the famous Albinoni melody were written by the girls’ mentor - the Kuryanka fans were noticeably encouraged by these words from the mentor.

This time Agutin decided to rely on less pretentious material. Daria Antonyuk performed one of the hits of Queen leader Freddie Mercury. Ksenia, who came on stage sixth, had to present to the public the creation of Victor Drobysh and Natalia Vlasova “I Still Love You.” In general, the girl coped with her task more than successfully. Commenting on the performance of the contestants, Grigory Leps praised both girls and thanked Ksenia separately for her huge heart. But Dima Bilan admitted that the Kuryan woman performed one of his favorite works. Polina Gagarina noted that Korobkova’s professionalism “literally shines through from all the cracks.” The mentor was also pleased with the performances, admitting that it was convenient to work with them and that the numbers in no way determine his true attitude towards the singers.

According to the rules of “The Voice”, in addition to the mentor, any TV viewer could evaluate the contestants. While the voting lines were open, Evgeniy Morgulis came to support Agutin’s students. Together with the girls, he performed “Shanghai Blues.”

The votes were distributed as follows: Agutin gave preference to Daria Antonyuk - sixty percent against forty. The majority of the audience was on the mentor's side - 28 percent versus 72. Daria won by a significant margin. Considering that the bookmakers bet on Daria Antonyuk to win, the result is more than predictable, but no less offensive for the Kursk residents.

Before going on stage, Ksenia Korobkova admitted that she had been in some kind of coma since the last tour. Her excitement “knocked her analytical skills out of her head” the previous time, and she could not calculate the numbers after the audience vote. She also noted that she is in a situation where she wants to reach the finals more than ever, but it is clear that the chances of this are slim. Unfortunately, these words turned out to be prophetic. However, Ksenia, pronouncing the final word, admitted that her only regret was that she would not be able to perform in a duet with her mentor in the finale, but overall she was more than pleased with her participation in the project.

About chairs, 45 seconds and evenings of Agutin’s songs - all about “The Voice” from the first person

We, like most viewers, first saw this girl on TV. When the word “Kursk” flashed in the title of the program, where Ksenia is from, they began to follow her successes. Ksenia Korobkova, a participant in the 5th season of the “Voice” project, quickly moved forward in the show, setting a new bar with each number. She performed songs by Whitney Houston, Lara Fabian, and Tina Karol. Ksenia reached the semifinals and ended the fight when mentor Leonid Agutin chose to see Daria Antonyuk in the final rather than her.

On January 13, at the Amsredam bar, the online magazine “Mors” threw a party and invited Ksenia Korobkova to sing. The singer agreed to come from Moscow for one day, and we received not only a strong vocal performance, but also the opportunity to talk with Ksenia about the most popular show in the country.

Attempts to get on “The Voice” were unsuccessful

“You can’t call “The Voice” the starting point of everything. I’ve been singing since childhood, and I didn’t even take unsuccessful attempts to get into the show as a sign that I shouldn’t do it anymore. This doesn't make you give up. Whether you make it to “The Voice” or not, and how far you go in the competition is not a direct indicator of your professional abilities.

You can be a super musician and fail in the first round. This is a coincidence of circumstances, everything is banal - lucky or unlucky. And it is still unknown in which situation we are more fortunate, because by getting involved in one event, we deprive ourselves of other opportunities. You never know what opportunities might present themselves at this time!”

“A lot depends on whether the repertoire is chosen correctly - whether you can show yourself in this particular song. The result is influenced by the weather, the mood of the jury members, and well-being - if you didn’t get enough sleep, then you didn’t sound, which means you didn’t show everything you could and didn’t make the right impression.”

“It happens that there are ten strong, cool vocalists in a row, and everyone says: “Yes, yes, yes, yes...”. And then the eleventh one comes out, it’s cool, but they’ve already recruited them, that’s enough.”

Who comes to “The Voice”

“People are different: from those who are indirectly related to music, but really want to be a popular artist, to the “cosmic”, shocking ones, with a strange appearance and a strange repertoire. There are professionals, and non-professionals, and kids who have barely reached adulthood, and those over fifty. The whole country is coming! Everyone wants to show off, to advertise once again on Channel One. Someone says that they have become “stale” and need a new breath.”

How to “turn” all mentors towards you

“I participated in the castings of “The Voice” twice, but in the 5th show for the first time I went without a serious intention to turn my chairs around. Vice versa. I set myself up this way: even if no one turns to me, I need to do the act so that I won’t be ashamed when I see myself on air. And it worked.

It looks intrusive when you try to please. It seems to me that mentors even feel it behind their backs when they sit with their backs turned and someone is puffing up on stage... And I had this experience in the fourth season. I didn’t really understand why I was singing this song, because at that moment I was thinking: “I sing normally. Why don’t you turn around?”

“When you do what you love, you will be good at it because you believe in it. And you don’t care whether they turn to you or not. You feel good and that’s enough.”

“When at the “blind” auditions you stand at the door a moment before leaving, it’s like being in outer space: you stood there and stood there! Because, really, you can’t go back. You go on stage, and the process of “breathing before death” begins: I didn’t have time to see how I looked, I didn’t pray, I didn’t think that I, where I was, wouldn’t forget the lyrics.

If you think about all these little things while singing: now the strap of my dress will fall, here I will forget the text, here I have an “inconvenient” note, then your strap will fall, and the note will not be played, and the text will be forgotten. But if you become more immersed in the story you are singing, you are more complete.”

Why Leonid Agutin

“Mentors have different preferences and tastes: some pay attention to vocal technique, some to arrangement, others to timbre. I wanted to join Leonid Agutin’s team for a long time. Since childhood, I have loved his work and still organize evenings of Lenya Agutin’s songs. You can’t call him a strong vocalist, but he has charisma, charm and something that makes millions of people go to his concerts.

I never expected any secret from my mentor: what he would tell me now, and everything would work out right away. Do they practice vocals with us? Of course not. They are not vocal teachers. Do you learn to sing before or after. Here it is different. Acts, shows, intrigues are done here.”

Live broadcasts

“On live broadcasts, a new program is formed every week. You need to choose a song a week in advance. It is given to the arranger, who literally has half a day to work with, because tomorrow he needs to rehearse the song with the orchestra.

The song can be suggested by a mentor or you yourself. Yes, the artist wants to show himself as brightly as possible, but the mentor may have a different concept. He wanted to see this person in this room, and even if you hurt yourself, no, that’s all.

Out of five performances, three times I sang what I wanted, and twice what Leonid Agutin said. Probably, if I basically couldn’t get the song into my head, I could convince him that it wasn’t mine. But I don’t see the point in ruining a relationship with a mentor for no apparent reason. Ultimately, we are all doing one thing - a show. It should be interesting for the audience to watch, cheer, and discuss.”

“In the first programs there was no time limit. But the first quarter-final dragged on, so in the second, all participants were time-regulated and only allowed to speak for 45 seconds.”

“The whole room is people who came to support you. These are people who are always for you - automatically, all the time. They sit in the hall from morning to night, this is essentially their job. And what else can they do for a whole day of filming, no matter how much they sympathize with the participants. They listen, and if you have to rehearse three times, they will applaud all three times. Each participant has the right to bring four spectators into the hall.

Filming takes place not in Ostankino, but in a separate pavilion. This is a huge hangar equipped as a platform. The live broadcast starts at 21:30, but we have been on site since 11 am. Participants are given makeup, combed, dressed, and prepared. There is time to rehearse something, go through a routine with the director. At two o'clock in the afternoon the general run-through began - just as it would be on air in the evening, including advertising blocks. And then - the broadcast itself - until twelve at night.

The rubber was broadcast live only once - in the first quarterfinal. Participant Lena Alekseeva sang a song to the accompaniment of a piano. When a participant is announced and his “profile” is broadcast, the team has from 45 to 60 seconds to “charge” the number. Accordingly, it was necessary to roll out the piano and connect it. And there was something they didn’t have time to do: the orchestra seemed to have already started playing, but the piano had not yet been connected. But Dima Nagiyev saved everyone - we went on air from the red room and took a break. The hitch lasted about 30 seconds, the audience, of course, didn’t notice anything.”

About Nagiyev

“The first impression is that he is a wildly professional person. He has no unnecessary movements. He teases everyone all the time in real life too. Even outside of filming, he will definitely say something, we will laugh. He finds a way out of every non-standard situation.”

Results

“The closer to the final, the more difficult it is to leave. It seems: this is one step and the end. I was ready to quit on almost every tour. I didn’t have a goal to win; I didn’t see any practical application in it.

When I found out who made it to the finals, it seemed to me that Sardor could win. More than 70% of the audience voted for him in the quarterfinals. And if he continued in the same spirit, he could well become a winner. But we could only guess. The voting results were a surprise, because everything happened live.”

Future

I want to stay in sight, record something, film something, perform somewhere, go somewhere. I want more experiments, because before it seemed that it was important to find yourself in one thing, but now you understand: if you have inspiration and a desire to do something in different directions, you have to try!”

Ksenia Korobkova (Penkovskaya) comes from the village of Chernitsyno, in the Kursk region. After graduating from school, the girl came to conquer the capital and first entered the RGGRU, and then the State Classical Academy (GKA) named after. Maimonides, where she studied pop-jazz vocals. She not only graduated from the academy with flying colors in 2013, but also teaches there. It was here that she met her future husband Alexei Korobkov, drummer of the group “Resurrection”; today the couple has a daughter growing up.

Ksenia works as an assistant-trainee at the pop vocal department, and in her free time she likes to embroider. According to her, she is a catastrophic alarmist and a coward, which is difficult to imagine when you see how freely the girl behaves in front of the cameras. The general public learned about the performer on the fifth season of the Russian show “The Voice,” when all the judges turned to her, including Grigory Leps. Ksenia preferred Leonid Agutin as a mentor. She was well received by the audience, appreciating the singer’s excellent vocal abilities.

After a successful performance on a social network, the girl posted an emotional post in which she thanked everyone who “rooted” for her: “... people! Darlings! Thank you! And although @idalmatov warned that this would happen, I experienced it only now. Such a flow of positive emotions hit me through your messages and comments! Thanks to everyone who did not remain indifferent to my performance! I'm happy that I can make you happy. So it’s not all in vain! Your support is needed! And I feel it. Thanks to friends and strangers for every word! I tried to answer everyone personally. I really hope I didn't miss anyone. THANK YOU!".

SENSITIVE AND PERSISTENT

An amazing girl was born into the Penkovsky family in 1989 in the village of Chernitsyno, Kursk region. They gave her the name Ksenia. It is given to persistent and very sensitive people. It determined the biography of Ksenia Korobkova (by her husband). Her passion for singing since childhood and her excellent vocal abilities led her to the capital’s classical academy. She studied and worked in the Acapella Express group. A busy creative life, according to the official website of agent Ksenia Korobkova, brought her together with her future husband, Alexei Korobkov. He was then a drummer in the group “Sunday”. It seems that family life upsets people of all creative professions, but this is not about the Korobkov family, and not about our heroine. After graduating from the academy, she remains at the educational institution to teach pop and jazz singing. Her husband, associate professor Alexey Vladimirovich Korobkov, also works there, at the same department. He could hardly be seen at organized events with Ksenia Korobkova - someone should be at home with their three-year-old daughter. But the fact that a loving husband helps his Ksenia is indisputable. It helps and moves forward. Perhaps thanks to her husband, she was among the participants in the show “The Voice” in 2016. This was the fifth season.

SUPPORT WAS NEAR

“I would hardly have decided to do this myself,” admits invited Ksenia Korobkova at events and holidays, “because I am a terrible coward and alarmist.” You should have seen how this girl shone during the blind auditions! First, three mentors turned to her, and finally the fourth, Grigory Leps. Perhaps most of the success of Ksenia's confident performance was ensured by her husband. Alexey accompanied her. An excellent and sensual tandem. When you book Ksenia Korobkova for a corporate event or a wedding, check whether she will be performing with her husband. Believe me, you need to listen to this to feel what the mentors and viewers of the show felt then.

WORK MORE THAN REST

She chooses Leonid Agutin as a mentor. Why? Maybe because it was he who gave a standing ovation during its performance, and even danced! What can I say – Ksenia’s performing level is very high. Professionalism is felt in everything. And she will show herself again, and not only on this show. Ksenia Korobkova’s performances will be booked throughout our country, and beyond its borders too. It will be difficult for her to tour, but this is the other side of fame - you have to work more than you relax. It is less common to see a little person, a daughter, for whom Ksenia Korobkova will earn fees.

In the last issue we wrote about Kursk resident Ksenia Korobkova, who successfully passed the blind auditions in the Channel One TV show “The Voice”. All four mentors turned to the singer - this doesn’t happen often. After some deliberation, the Kursk woman made her choice and joined Leonid Agutin’s team. We talked with Ksenia and found out why she decided to take part in “The Voice”, what happened behind the scenes of the show and what viewers can expect from the project.

Ksenia watched the episode of “The Voice” with her participation in Moscow. And the very next day I came to my parents, in the village of Chernitsyno, Oktyabrsky district. There she was greeted like a star! My daughter was especially looking forward to it, as she very carefully watched her mother’s performance on TV.

“This is not my first casting for “The Voice,” says Ksenia. “I tried for several years, but something always didn’t work out.” Then I didn’t get my turn at the blind auditions, then I became a mother, and this, you see, is more important than “The Voice”... Even earlier, I tried to get on “Factor A”, while studying at school, I went to the casting of the next “Star Factory”. But, probably, my stars have aligned in the right way only now.

Ksenia was born in the city of Shostka, Sumy region of Ukraine. When she was 14 years old, the family moved to the Kursk region. “In the Oktyabrsky district, I graduated from a children’s art school with a degree in piano,” says the girl. – Performed at various competitions and festivals. For some time I studied in Kursk in the studio of Olga Bondareva. And immediately after school she went to Moscow to enter a music university. But then it didn’t work out - in those educational institutions where I went for consultations, there were no budget places. I understood that if I left the capital, it would be more difficult to return again. I decided to enroll somewhere to stay in Moscow. I took the documents to the Russian State Geological Prospecting University, where I studied for two years. I remember that time with warmth - it was at the RGGRU that I met wonderful people, I made many close friends.”

But Ksenia did not forget about music. “It was at the amateur level,” she says. – Of course, I didn’t give up on my dream of becoming a professional musician. After studying at the geological exploration university for two years, I took the documents and entered the State Classical Academy named after Maimonides in the class of pop-jazz vocals.”

Kuryanka notes that music has been with her since childhood. “I always sang,” she smiles. “My parents put me on a stool, and I gave concerts. Seeing such a thing, my grandfather advised my mother to take me to the choir studio. I was six years old then. From then on it started..."

– When you were waiting for your appearance on the stage of the show “The Voice”, were you worried?

– Why did you choose Leonid Agutin?

– As a child, we had a Jupiter reel-to-reel tape recorder at home, on which I constantly listened to Agutin’s album. And literally to the holes! So this is love from childhood. And the older I got, the more details, soul, and professionalism I found in his music. He is truly a brilliant composer, arranger, and author. So my heart chose Agutin. I was in such a joyful shock that my analytical abilities completely turned off. Therefore, it was impossible to trust the head at that moment. Only to the heart.

Immediately after the broadcast of the “Voices” episode with the participation of Ksenia Korobkova, the girl began to receive a huge number of messages on her page on the social network. “I felt the attention of the audience, and how! – she laughs. – Many messages with warm words arrived! People from different parts of Russia and even the world express gratitude and support! It’s nicely crazy.”

Ksenia is also proud of her husband, the famous musician Alexey Korobkov. He played in the groups “Olympia”, “Lotos”, “Shanghai”, “Carnival”, worked with Irina Otieva, Vladimir Presnyakov, Larisa Dolina, Igor Nikolaev. Now he is not only the drummer of the legendary group “Resurrection”, but also a teacher at the Maimonides Classical Academy.

“The husband is a very restrained person in emotions, it is very difficult to understand what is really going on in his soul,” says Ksenia. – But he, naturally, rejoiced with me! Without his support nothing would have happened at all.
