What is a three-phase gel polish? Who is the single phase gel suitable for? Can a three-phase gel be used as a single-phase

Both gel polish and acrylic are very stylish and durable coatings. But they have one common drawback: they damage the marigolds, too, very significantly. Gel polish treats our nails more carefully. Yes, and such a coating looks no worse, and therefore its popularity is growing very quickly. And one more advantage of gel polish is strengthening of nails and prevention of their delamination.

There are only three types of varnish coating: one-, two- and three-phase. And it is worth choosing the best option for yourself, focusing on the characteristics of each type. What is the difference between a single-phase gel polish and a three-phase one?

The first criterion for choosing a system is the amount of free time. To apply a three-phase coating, we use three products: base, color gel polish and topcoat. It is easier to apply single-phase gel polish: several products in one bottle. The creation of a manicure will take much less time.

The financial component also matters. What is the difference between a single-phase gel polish and a three-phase one? We spend more money on the purchase of two or three means of money than on the purchase of one. In this respect, a single-phase varnish is superior to a two-or three-phase agent. But these are not all the pros and cons. Of great importance is the preparation of marigolds for coating them with gel polish. Only its competent implementation gives the proper results.

Aren't brands important? Not all manufacturers produce high-quality varnishes. Other varnishes are not just of poor quality, they are harmful. Therefore, it is better to buy gel polishes from proven manufacturers. And the best option is the one that suits both professionals and is popular with amateurs. An example is Masura varnishes.

What is one-phase varnish good for? It is easy to use: there is no complex technology, as in a three-phase coating. Polymerization can be carried out using LED lamps; it is not necessary to purchase a UV lamp.

What is the difference between a single-phase gel polish and a three-phase one? The single-phase varnish contains neither toluene, nor formaldehyde, nor other harmful components. And in other coatings, their presence is not excluded. You don't have to buy a special tool to remove the sticky layer: the sticky layer does not form if you use a single-phase varnish.

A pleasant nuance: a special topcoat has been developed for a single-phase varnish. So the lifespan of such a manicure can also be extended. And there are no external differences between three- and one-phase gel varnishes.

What happens, a single-phase varnish - an ideal coating for both a beginner and a professional craftsman? For home manicure - of course. No expensive materials or professional tools are required. Although a perfectly modeled nail plate is a goal that is not always achieved: it will take some knowledge and skills. And the utmost accuracy is required.

What is the difference between a single-phase gel polish and a three-phase one? If you apply a single-phase varnish, then many fantasies will have to be postponed: there is no sticky layer, and it will be problematic to decorate the nail with photo design or stickers. And in this regard, three-phase gels-varnishes have their advantages.

The two-phase system includes one-phase gel polish and topcoat. There is another option: a two-in-one base-top with a single-phase gel polish. This system is popular with professionals and has earned positive reviews.

It makes sense to use only a top coat to preserve the gloss. It is impossible to get any other benefit from such use. And the absence of a base for a marigold is not useful.

The base and the finish are not tools for increasing the complexity of the technology: with their help, a three-phase coating is more stable than a single-phase one.

It is these layers that better bind the components of the product to the marigold plate. For this reason, two- and three-phase varnish is preferred by those who are not going to renew their manicure often. Simplified application technology does not mean lack of nuance. But, of course, single-phase coatings are easier to use.

Varnish application procedure

If you want to make a truly beautiful manicure, we advise you to purchase a single phase gel polish. You will find out how to apply this product right now. The whole procedure is carried out in stages:

1. First, grease the nails with a base coat and dry them under for a few minutes. As a base, you can use the varnish itself or another tool. Mostly a substance that has no color is used. The base layer should be thin and even. All flaws must be removed immediately.

2. Now let's start applying the gel polish. This should be done in several layers (at least 2, if the product has a bright color), while each of them should be dried with a lamp. The thickness of the coating should be small. Note that the edge of the nail should be painted over especially well. Otherwise, the varnish may simply peel off.

3. After drying the manicure under a UV lamp, a fixing agent should be applied to the nails. Then treat your hands with ultraviolet rays for 2 minutes (at least).

4. Elimination of excess gel. For this, a special tool is used that can degrease the nails. However, please note that it must not contain acetone. After such treatment, the varnish will not stick.

5. Now lubricate your hands with cream and admire the beautiful nails.

Since the presented varnish is single-phase, it is not necessary to use a fixer and a base base.

Wet the cotton wool with a nail polish remover that contains acetone;

Now we put it on the nail and wrap it in foil;

After 15 minutes, open the nail and remove the gel film using a special stick for treating the cuticle (it is advisable to do this very carefully);

If there is still varnish on the plate, remove it with a polishing file.

Beautiful well-groomed hands always attract attention and are even able to hide some other flaws in appearance. The main thing is to have a perfect manicure, and nowadays it is no longer just a tribute to fashion, but a daily requirement of many women. It is real to get beautiful, strong, long nails - this will help a master who uses a special gel for nail extension in his work, so this article will focus on the types of such tools and the most popular inexpensive materials from different companies.

What is nail extension gel

The history of the creation of special polymer products for nail extension goes back to the dental practice of the 20th century. The fact is that first acrylic, and then uv-gel for strengthening natural and modeling artificial nails were created by a dentist on the basis of materials for filling teeth. These two main substances used for artificial manicure are very similar in chemical composition, therefore, the gel building technology is almost the same as acrylic technology.

Recently, most manicure masters working in professional salons or at home prefer to use exclusively UV gels for building in their work, because they have significant advantages in comparison with acrylic:

  • the composition of the gel bases is as close as possible to the composition of natural nails;
  • after drying in a special lamp, gel nails acquire an ideal shape, high strength, an even surface and a natural shine;
  • gel bases, as a rule, contain natural resins that help strengthen brittle nails;
  • it is a breathable material and does not contain harmful acids, therefore it does not cause much harm even with prolonged wearing of artificial manicure;
  • most modern gel bases are self-leveling, without a pungent odor and do not require removing the sticky layer, so it is easier, faster and more pleasant to work with them;
  • modern technology of gel extension minimizes the harm of special products for the nail plate and cuticle, and drying in a lamp helps to avoid the growth of fungus or other pathogens that often live on the nails;
  • The range of products for gel extensions is very wide: in addition to the usual transparent ones, manufacturers offer camouflage gels in natural beige and pink shades, stained glass and colored.

Single phase

Such a gel base belongs to the "three in one" category, because the product combines three layers necessary for the correct extension technology. All formulations are mixed in one jar: basic, modeling and protective. Such material is ideal for novice nail masters. However, a single-phase gel for building has a liquid consistency, so not all beginners will be able to immediately make friends with it.

Biphasic

The system for building, consisting of two phases, involves the use of a pair of products of different consistency and purpose, applied separately. The base coat has a low viscosity because it acts as a primer. For the architecture of the nail, the second phase of the system is intended - the sculptural layer. It has a higher viscosity, has a dense thick consistency, therefore it slightly facilitates the procedure for modeling the nail than in the case when using the single-phase version.

Three-phase

This system differs from the previous one by the presence of a third layer. In addition to the base and the modeling composition, the kit includes a protective agent that allows you to create a topcoat to minimize the influence of unfavorable environmental factors on artificial marigolds and extend their wearing period. The three-phase gel system is considered the best for modeling, therefore it is used by most professional craftsmen.

Rating of gels for nail extension

If you need materials for building, there are only a few options for where to buy nail gel. Firstly, you can buy it in a specialized store or professional salon, but this method is only suitable for residents of large cities. It is easier for masters from the provinces to order nail gel in one of the online stores in Moscow or St. Petersburg that sell materials for nail art. Such sites often arrange lucrative promotions and discounts, and promise free shipping by mail.

How to choose a gel for nail extension

If you want to make even, smooth, beautiful nails, be sure to use only high-quality materials in your work. In order for the purchase to be successful and you do not have to listen to the complaints of customers about your work, you should consider some important points before buying:

  1. Initially, decide which system will be convenient for you to work with - one, two or three-phase. If you are just practicing building, take a complex single-phase uv gel. If you are already working on a professional level, try good three-phase systems.
  2. Pay attention to which lamp and at what power the chosen agent solidifies. Choose better materials that dry quickly in a UV lamp - they are easier and easier to work with, they are usually odorless.
  3. Check the viscosity of the compound you are about to buy. It will be difficult to work with very thick materials, and liquid materials can drip over the surface of the nail plate all the time, complicating the modeling process.
  4. When purchasing gel nail art products, choose certified products from trusted manufacturers. When ordering uv gel on the Internet, ask the seller if he guarantees the quality of the goods he sells, negotiate in advance the possibility of a return or exchange in case of unsatisfactory quality of the product received.
  5. If you buy phases for building separately, and not in a ready-made set, take materials from the same manufacturer, because they are designed for joint use and will be better combined than products from different companies.
  6. Please note that one jar lasts for a long time, so before buying, pay attention to the date of its production and the maximum shelf life. Do not take a product that is only valid for a couple of months, because most of it will simply have to be thrown away. This is especially true for those who like to buy cosmetics at sales, where stale products are often sold.

Single-phase gel polish is one of the best manicure products, as it significantly reduces the application time and practically does not harm the health of nails.

How to use it correctly at home? What are the pros and cons of using a coating such as a single phase gel polish?

Single-phase gel polish: what is this coating

Single phase gel polish is a special gel with color pigment in the composition... It is applied in the same way as any other gel polish. To dry it properly ultraviolet required or LED lamp.

One-phase varnish is simply applied in one or several layers.

Most often, two types of gel polishes are used today for manicure: single-phase and three-phase. Usually a three-phase system is used in salons during the building process. It includes three different tools, each of which is used separately for a specific phase. It takes a lot of time. And also the cost of funds for three-phase application is quite high.

Professionals consider single phase gel an excellent alternative to the standard three-phase system... What is the difference between a single-phase coating and a three-phase coating? Using a three-phase system usually requires a professional approach. Initially, a base is applied to the nail, then a layer of colored gel polish and, upon completion, a finishing coat.

On the pros and cons of 3-in-1 varnishes

Single Phase Coating Benefits

Disadvantages of 3-in-1 gels

  • Such varnishes not suitable for all types of nails... For example, they are not suitable for weak, strongly bending marigolds.
  • When using this type of coating with design stamping or sliders and stickers will need additionally apply a layer of top over the stickers.

Application technology

Despite the fact that the coating is applied in one step, special knowledge and skills are required. In addition to accuracy, a professional approach is also important here, which can be mastered by adopting a step-by-step application technology:

  1. Before starting the procedure, arm yourself with a nail degreaser, directly with gel polish, a manicure set, an ultraviolet or LED lamp - depending on the marking of the varnish.
  2. At first tidy up natural nails: you need to give them the same shape, length, file, remove the cuticle, grind.
  3. Before applying degrease your nails using a special liquid.
  4. Sometimes, for better adhesion of the gel polish to the nail plate, a special primer... This stage is advisory and can be skipped.
  5. Cover the nail with a layer of gel polish.
  6. Dry the coating in an ultraviolet lamp should be within one and a half to two minutes. If you use an LED lamp, it will take less time to dry. You can apply the coating in two coats if the gel polish is too transparent. Wherein do not forget to seal the sections of the nail plates using the same gel polish.
  7. In the end it is necessary treat the cuticle oil specially designed for this.

There is often advice: at the end of the manicure, apply a protective coating as a finish so that the single-phase gel polish holds well. In fact, these are just gimmicks of manufacturers. A single-phase coating lasts for about two to three weeks without any protection.

Remove single phase gel polish very easy: enough remove the gloss with a buff and soak the coating in the remover.

You can find out how to apply and how to remove single-phase gel polishes by watching this video:

The use of single-phase gel varnishes does not take much time. However, in order for the coating to last longer without chipping and cracking, the application technology and the drying time in the lamp must be strictly observed.

Good day, dear readers. Today we want to analyze in detail the most frequently asked question "how to apply a three-phase gel polish correctly?" But, for starters, let's still figure out why you should opt for a three-phase gel polish?

One of the most recognized in terms of durability is considered a three-phase system for performing manicure with gel polish. Firstly, such a varnish, due to several layers, creates their maximum adhesion to each other and to your nail. And secondly, coating with several balls of varnish, taking into account the base and top, gives additional strength to the natural nail, which protects it from kinks and accidental damage.

It is generally accepted that coating nails with gel polish according to a three-phase system includes three main stages: 1 - base, 2 - color coating, 3 - top. In principle, this is true, but in fact, not everything is so simple. There is more work here, although not much. The experience of many users of the three-phase gel polish system suggests that if you miss at least one important detail in applying the coating, then the manicure may unexpectedly turn out to be unstable for you, which will greatly upset you because of the time wasted on it.

Therefore, if you want to get a really long-lasting chic manicure like from a salon, then it is important to observe each stage of application. For you, we have specially highlighted the main thing, and you just have to check everything in practice. Let's start?

After putting the nails in order, cutting off the cuticle and cutting off the top layer of gloss from the nail, we proceed to the procedure for applying layers of gel polish.

1. We degrease and disinfect nails using a special tool to remove residual grease, water and dust from nails Nail Prep. This is done so that no fungus grows under the coating, the spores of which are not visible to the naked eye.

2. Apply a thin layer of Ultrabond acid-free primer to the nails. It differs from acidic in that it does not penetrate deep into the nail and does not spoil its structure. Ultrabond is designed to additionally degrease the nail and improve the adhesion of the gel polish (base) to the nail plate. Ultrabond does not need to be cured in a lamp, it dries on its own within 20 seconds (depending on the manufacturer), after which you may notice only a slightly shiny sticky layer on the nail plate. It is on it that the base is applied in the next stage.

3. Apply the base in a thin layer to the entire surface of the nails, including the end of the free edge. Dry in a UV lamp for 2 minutes, and in an LED lamp for 30 seconds. After applying the base, its layer also has residual stickiness for better adhesion to the next layer. Try to apply the base and subsequent layers as thin as possible, given that when layering, a very solid thickness of the nail is obtained.

4. Apply a colored coating. At this stage, you can already cover your nails with the first thin layer of your favorite color gel polish. The layer may not be too uniform, but it is necessarily thin. A thick layer of varnish may simply not dry properly in the lamp, causing the coating to pick up in waves or bubbles. Dry in a UV lamp for 2 minutes, and in an LED lamp for 30 seconds. If the layer is not opaque and dense enough, then repeat the layer of the colored coating again, remembering to seal the end of the free edge of the nail. Dry again in a UV lamp for 2 minutes, and in an LED lamp for 30 seconds. The sticky layer is also present here. It should not be washed yet, as the next step is to apply the top.

5. Application of the top (finish). The finishing coat is applied to the nails in a regular layer (do not forget about the ends) and so it dries itself in a lamp. Not everyone is particularly successful in applying a thin layer here, since the consistency of the finish is thicker than that of the base, so it is recommended to even additionally dry this layer in a lamp to ensure maximum polymerization of the material, which further increases the service life of your coating. If you think that one top layer is not enough, then you can apply another one. Hard and strong nails are guaranteed!

6. Remove the sticky layer from the topcoat. To do this, you can use either the same universal Nail Prep product, or a special cleansing tool for removing stickiness, if available. But you can use alternative home remedies for removing the sticky layer from gel polish.

That's all! The beauty on your nails is ready! Such a coating is worn from two weeks or longer, retaining its original appearance, which is good news. Try it and you will certainly succeed!
