Not every child has seen a real mouse. But thanks to fairy tales and illustrations to them, he will unmistakably find this animal in the pictures among other characters.
In order to familiarize yourself with this rodent, invite your child to make a mouse out of paper. Most likely, he will be delighted with this venture!
The mouse assembly scheme is simple, so even a preschooler (with your, of course, help) can easily cope with this interesting task.

You will need a square sheet of single-sided or double-sided colored paper in a suitable color.

The sequence of folding the mouse out of paper

Prepare a square sheet of paper.

If the paper is single-sided, turn the white side up. Fold in half diagonally and then unfold.

Fold the top and bottom sides of the square towards the middle, folding both sides in half diagonally. You will get a rhombus.

Bend the short sides of the rhombus diagonally to the middle. Press the folds.

Return the newly folded pieces of the workpiece to their original position.

Grasp the corner of the piece of paper, bend it to the left, joining the top and bottom edges of the paper together. You should have a right angle at the fold.

Gently iron the top of the paper, making a fold along the dotted line and along the already finished fold on the right.
The top of the sheet should lie neatly on top of the bottom like this.

Fold the opposite side of the workpiece in the same way.
In the middle of the craft, two movable triangles are formed, on each of which a fold will be visible passing through the apex to the edge of the sheet.

Wrap half of the triangle along this fold inside the craft.
In this case, the edge of the bent part will look outward.

Do the same with the second movable triangle.
After that, in the middle of the workpiece, you will have a small protrusion consisting of two small triangles. These are the future mouse ears.

To form the mouse's head, bend the left side of the elongated rhombus inward by about 2/3 of the length (along the dotted line).

Draw a line from the center point of the workpiece to the upper corner. Do the same on the opposite side.

Fold the shaded parts of the part under the craft.

Fold the workpiece horizontally in half.

Bend the upper part of the moving part to the right at an acute angle (as shown in the photo).

Spread the edges of the part in the form of a bag, forming an eyelet. Make the second eyelet the same.
Decide on the length of the torso and tail of the mouse. To do this, draw a line parallel to the left edge of the workpiece, stepping back about 1 cm to the right from the fold located across the craft.

Fold the right side of the craft along the dotted line to the left.

Return to original position. Turn it out at the folds.

To work you need:

How to make a mouse out of paper: a step-by-step master class

The mouse is very simple and fast! Its production will give you great pleasure!

Step 1

Cut symmetrical hearts out of colored paper: large for the body, medium for the stand, 2 small for the ears and the tail. I cut out without any preparation of templates, by eye. If you are not sure about the proportions of the parts, then first make a trial version on old notebook sheets or a cover from notebooks and specify the sizes that suit you. And then, having already precisely determined the suitable dimensions, cut it out with the child from colored paper.

Step 2

Bend a large heart in half, then bend its rounded parts at the top to the sides. These will be the paws of the mouse.

Step 3.

Glue one half of a large heart along its contour with glue, glue the tail piece and grease it with glue on top.

Step 4.

Fold a large heart (part with legs and a tail) in half along the fold, glue the blank. The image of the mouse is already showing up! Her torso has appeared!

Step 5

- Making the ears of the mouse. Attach small hearts to the sharp part of the body workpiece (where the mouse head is planned), move them along the workpiece to better determine the place for the ears. There are no specific points here. It all depends on your imagination, what kind of image you create! What kind of mouse will you have - shy or brave, funny or dreaming.

- Glue the ears in the selected place.

Step 6

- Cut two small circles out of black paper, glue the circles on the nose of the mouse on both sides of the toy.

- Draw a mustache and an eye with a felt-tip pen. And maybe she could also draw cilia? This is your creativity!

Step 7

Grease the bent legs with glue.

Glue the resulting mouse blank onto the middle heart, which will serve as a stand.

Step 9

Make a second mouse, put them opposite each other. Here they are mice in love!

Craft "mouse" from felt or viscose

Like foam rubber, it is a soft material that does not leave pronounced creases after bending. Toys made from it will last longer than paper toys, but it is very difficult for children to cut it. Most preschoolers will likely fail.

Since my daughter and I made these mice from viscose napkins when she did not go to school yet, the photos of the master class show the manufacturing process using this material as an example. You can use any other material.

To sew this mouse, you will need the same template as for the previous version, but with one more detail - the third part will be the bottom of the toy and is the same detail as for the head with the body, but without the tail and is quite a bit shorter and a little narrower (with the stress on the letter "y") around the edges.

4. Decorate the face: sew the eyes and nose out, make a mustache out of thread.

Instructions:

1. Take a small cardboard box, for example, from a cream or toothpaste.

2. Glue the sides of the box with blue paper.

3. Draw and cut out the front and hind legs from blue cardboard (two parts each). Moreover, the width of these parts must coincide with the width of the box, and the neck must also be drawn to the front paws. In addition, we cut out the ears (4 parts), the tail (2 parts in the form of elongated triangles) and the head in the form of a semicircle with a diameter of 12.5 cm (1 part) from blue cardboard. Cut out two parts from pink paper for the middle of the ears.

4. Glue in pairs the parts of the front legs, parts of the hind legs and parts of the tail.

5. Glue the ears and glue the pink details to them. To keep the paws, tail and ears straight after drying, place them under the press.

6. Roll the semicircle into a cone and glue it.

7. When the paws are dry, fold them at the end.

8. Glue the paws to the box using glue or double-sided tape.

9. Bend the tail a little and glue it to the hind legs.

10. Glue the ears to the cone.

There is a very simple and easy way to make a paper mouse. Even children 3-4 years old can cope with such work. After all, the body of the mouse is just paper folded in half, and all the other details are circles, rectangles.

What do you need for the craft?

• Black and pink cardboard;
• White paper;
• Ready wiggling eyes;
• Stencil, scissors, pencil, glue stick.

Preparation of parts

For subsequent work, you need to prepare the components of the mouse, these are:

• A strip of black cardboard for the torso. My black stripe is 6 cm wide and 21 cm long.
• 2 black and pink circles, from which there will be ears;
• Two strips of white paper, about a centimeter wide and slightly wider than the black cardboard strip. White paper must, in turn, be cut from different sides into thin strips. You will get a mouse mustache;
• Pink circle - nose;
• Long thin tail;
• If there are no ready-made eyes, they can be easily made from white and black paper.

How to make a paper mouse

Fold the black cardboard strip in half and glue the edges. It is very important not to pinch the folded middle.

Then add eyes, cut white stripes folded slightly crosswise - mustache. And on top of the mustache - a pink circle - a nose. And at the last step, glue the ponytail.

That's it, the paper mouse is ready. Despite the black color, the mouse is bright and catchy.
