Today we will make a fairytale heroine - a little mermaid. For work we need:

  • doll eyes with painted cilia
  • brown and red pencils
  • scissors

Of course, the child will not be able to cope with some details of the applique made of colored paper. The mother's task is to cut out ornate shapes and help the baby arrange them on the cardboard.

For example, one of the intricate details is the mermaid fish tail.

Mom also had to design the body, but the toddler can easily lubricate the finished PVA elements and glue them to the base of the applique.

You can try to do the next part of the body together - let the mother cut a circle out of paper, and the baby with the help of scissors divides it in half and sticks it over the tail.

Perhaps the baby's mermaid's head will not be able to draw up on its own. Although the paper circle is the simplest geometric figure, babies rarely cut it straight. It's OK. After making minor edits by the mother, the baby can glue the mermaid's head to the body on the applique.

But it is easier to cut a triangle out of colored paper than a circle, because there are no curved lines here. If necessary, the figure can be corrected. We glue the new detail to the picture.

At the next stage, we glue plastic eyes on the face of the heroine, draw a nose, a mouth with pencils, and also add arms on the sides of the body.

It remains to make small hands for the little mermaid out of paper and decorate the seabed with green algae.

So that the paper heroine does not get bored, we cut out a friend for her - a yellow octopus.

This completes the work on the colored paper applique. You can take the applique to kindergarten to show how great you are with scissors and glue.
