Applying eyeliner. How to properly line your eyes with liquid eyeliner and pencil? Deep set eyes

Every second woman uses eyeliner. The beauty industry is developing all the new tools that allow you to correctly and easily eyeliner. The result of this makeup is a bright, memorable look.

Why do women eyeliner

A correctly drawn arrow is capable of:

  • correct the shape of the eyes;
  • make your gaze open, eyes wide open;
  • visually correct the fit of the eyes;
  • minimize the effect of the impending century;
  • visually increase the volume of eyelashes and their growth line.

Eyeliner methods

There are many variations of possible connections. Some women prefer to combine several types or adapt a specific type of arrow for themselves.

The main ones are:

  • narrow;
  • wide;
  • double;
  • elongated;
  • for half a century;
  • shaded;
  • colored.

Arrows are guided with a pencil, a flat, wide and short brush, a thin and round brush, an applicator, a felt-tip pen.

Stages of drawing arrows

Eyeliner - professional make-up artists know how to make up the eyes correctly.

They distinguish several main stages of this process:

Round eyeliner

These arrows are able to bring softness and balance to the look.

Eyeliner for narrow eyes

Women with narrow eyes should choose arrows that widen in the middle of the eyelid line. The end can be raised, wide, or narrow.

This eyeliner will open your eyes, make them rounder, more harmonious.

Almond Eyeliner

The almond-shaped eye shape is versatile and advantageous. Any arrow will adorn the makeup. With the help of different types of summing it is possible to achieve a bright, delicate or "invisible" result.

For daytime makeup, you should choose thin arrows that practically do not go beyond the lash line. For evening wear, wide, glossy options are preferred that highlight the beauty of the eyes and makeup.

Deep-set eyeliner

For women with deep-set eyes, it is contraindicated to draw them in black. Suitable shades are brown, green, dark blue. The upper eyelid must be applied, the line should be thin. If desired, you can shade it.

This type of alignment will highlight the eyes and will not aggravate their deep location. It is better to choose the color of the eyeliner in accordance with the color of the eyes.

Slanting eyeliner

You can eliminate excessive slanting of the eyes by paying special attention to their inner corner. It must be painted over a little less than the middle of the lower eyelid with a continuous line. Thus, visually, the eyes will align, they will look like almond-shaped.

Wide-set eyeliner

For distant eyes, an arrow is required that does not go beyond the eyelid, with a carefully traced inner corner. In addition, the lower eyelid is brought in for a quarter of the length from the outside of the eye. The upper outer part of the arrow can be shaded.

As a result, the face will visually become narrower, the eyes will draw closer, the wide forehead will not stand out.

Eyeliner with dropped outer corners

The drooping outer corners of the eyes give the face a touch of despondency. To avoid this, the arrow of the upper eyelid is drawn thin, with a clear thickening, starting from the middle of the eye. Its tip is drawn a few millimeters above the lash line. It should be sharp and angled upward. If the lower eyelid is additionally brought in, then both arrows merge into one.

Thus, the face acquires lightness, the eyes "smile" a little.

Pencil eyeliner

The pencil is relevant in cases of eyeliner women who do not always get even, correct arrows. Since it can be easily corrected or completely removed and start painting over again.

It is great for experimenting with eye makeup, but on the negative side, it is quickly smudged and imprinted in the crease of the eyelid. An arrow drawn with a pencil (even a hard one) must be corrected at least 3 times a day. It is most practical to draw wide, extraordinary arrows, shaded arrows, colored options with a pencil.

Using liquid eyeliner

When applying liquid eyeliner, a firm hand and the presence of practice are required, since it is problematic to correct the finished arrow due to the high durability of such a tool.

You can take a long time to learn how to apply eyeliner correctly. Therefore, it is recommended to start experimenting with liquid eyeliner, and gradually try with a pencil and regular eyeliner.

When dry, the arrow becomes either matte or glossy. The product is applied with a special brush. A distinctive feature is the ability to draw both a very thin line and a wide, sweeping arrow. The use of liquid eyeliner is suitable for both daytime and evening make-up.

Ink eyeliner

Eyeliner - Few people know how to properly line up the eyes with mascara. This is an alternative method when the eyeliner has run out, dried out or lost. A flat, beveled brush is required to highlight the eyes. on which to apply regular mascara.

This must be done with hammering movements, since ink is not intended for ordinary drawing of an arrow. It is not always possible to clearly draw the eyelid line in this way, so make-up artists recommend shading the entire arrow or its outer edge. Excess and irregularities must be removed with a cotton swab. It is important that the mascara is fresh, otherwise application will become problematic.

Eyeliner

Another alternative option for eyeliner is shadows.

The advantages of the method are:

The only drawback of the method is considered to be low durability. This arrow should be corrected throughout the day. The shaded arrows are wide enough, soft and natural. You can fail both centuries.

Using a felt-tip eyeliner

A felt-tip eyeliner is more durable than a pencil, but also easy to apply. The finish of such liners is always matte, less bright than that of liquid liners.

With a felt-tip pen, it is possible to draw any clear arrow, and with certain skills - an ultra-thin line. The product is difficult to extinguish, so to get a soft arrow it is better to use a pencil, eye shadow or ink.

Using dry eyeliner

Dry eyeliner is similar in performance to regular baked eyeshadow. Apply with a dry or wet brush.
Possesses a low degree of durability and a wide range of colors. The application features are identical to the shadows.

Brunettes often have brown, green-brown, almost black eyes.

With such external data, the following are preferable:

  • classic smokey;
  • two-color classic hand (black and gold);
  • shaded graphite arrow adapted to the shape of the eyes.

Blondes are the owners of blue, blue, gray, gray-blue eyes.

Therefore, in relation to their image, one can distinguish:

Brown-haired women are dominated by brown, green, amber eyes.

Arrows that fit in the general image will be:

  • emerald blurred broad arrows;
  • dark brown smokey;
  • dark purple arrows of a suitable shape.

Women with red hair can have bright blue, blue, gray, brown, green eyes.

Based on the available color, it is necessary to select arrows that will favorably emphasize the whole image:

  1. Black arrows are not recommended for blue-eyed ones (an exception is stylistic necessity). Preferably a light smoky-ice of a smoky gray color, which, if desired, can be supplemented with a silver eyeliner;
  2. Makeup artists advise gray-eyed girls to draw ultra-thin arrows and better not black.... Suitable colors: cold saturated beige, marsh, bright matte gray;
  3. Brown-eyed people can afford an eyeliner of brown shades with a red undertone, black. For evening makeup, you can opt for rich, brighter shades. For daytime - light nude warm tones are suitable;
  4. For green-eyed girls, eyeliner is suitable for the color of the eyes or hair, but a tone darker - dark green or dark brown. It is important not to overdo it, as red-haired girls are initially bright enough.

It is preferable to bring the eyes with dry eyeliner, shadows, colored pencils. Colors should be chosen brown, marsh, deep blue. This will make the look gentle, romantic, and emphasize the youthfulness of the girl's face.

Suitable will be:

  • shaded or clear arrow on half of the upper eyelid;
  • thin colored arrow on the entire eyelid, not going beyond the eye;
  • thin, with a thickening to the outer edge and the lower eyelid, an arrow.

The technique of eyeliner clear arrows

Achieve maximum clarity by using a liquid liner as your eyeliner.

It is important to follow a few tips:

  1. You should start drawing the arrow as close to the eyelashes as possible so that there are no gaps;
  2. An even and clear arrow is obtained if you visually divide the eyeliner line into two parts. First, the outer edge with a pointed end is drawn, then the inner part of the arrow is carefully brought in, which harmoniously merges into a single line;
  3. You can also use a stencil to get clear arrows, which will help you make symmetrical arrows and reduce the likelihood of ruining them.

Blurred haze eyeliner technique

It is easy to achieve a blurred arrow - it should be shaded with shadows of a suitable color. To get the smoky effect of the makeup, a pencil with which an arrow is drawn is ideal. Then, with shadows of a similar shade, the drawn line is stroked with an applicator or a round brush.

Eyes with blurry arrows look natural and a bit mysterious. At the same time, they remain bright and attractive.

Day makeup

For daytime makeup, suitable arrow options are:

evening make-up

For evening make-up, the following will be suitable:

  • wide arrows;
  • two-color arrows (black + colored);
  • colored arrows (the color should be in harmony with the image);
  • Cat arrows;
  • glossy arrow options;
  • "Egyptian" arrows.

Eyeliner and eye color

The shape of the arrow does not depend on the color of the eyes. Their shape, facial features are important. You can combine eye color and eyeliner color.
In this case:

  • Women with blue eyes should pay attention to blue or green eyeliners. Warm shades of copper, gold, terracotta can also emphasize the depth of the eyes;
  • Eyeliner of any shade will emphasize brown eyes. For example, deep browns, marsh, dark gold shades. For extraordinary makeup, you can choose bright, catchy colors (bright blue, purple, shimmery);
  • For green eyes, it is preferable to pick up an eyeliner of mahogany color, ripe cherry, plum, red walnut, eggplant. You can also emphasize the color of the eyes by drawing a steel arrow;
  • Warm beige shades of varying intensity are suitable for gray-eyed women. The bright silver arrow also adds extra sparkle to the look.

Influence of the color of the arrows on the image

The color of the arrows indirectly affects the image.

The surrounding people perceive the eyeliner in different shades this way:

  1. Black arrows add mystery and glamor to the image. They are an ideal option for evening, formal make-up;
  2. Dark green, blue, brown arrows give the image nobility and status. They will help to emphasize the natural beauty of the eyes. The colors are suitable for evening and daytime make-up. It is important to choose the right degree of brightness and saturation of shades;
  3. Bright purple, lilac, orange, gold or silver arrows indicate the shocking image and courage of a woman who decided on such a make-up. In most cases, this is a stylistic decision based on the desire to achieve a certain reaction from others.

If the eyeliner is dry

You can reanimate the eyeliner in different ways. A pencil that has begun to crumble must be held over the fire for a few seconds. The high temperature will melt it and make it softer and brighter.

Scissors will help you quickly restore the eyeliner. Cut off the dry tip at an angle.

Creamy, liquid eyeliners can be diluted with the following products:

You can quickly learn to eyeliner correctly if you read a few tips from professional makeup artists:

  1. The eyeliner, regardless of the type of arrow you draw, should start with a thin, root line of the same width, filling the space between the eyelashes. After - the arrow of the required width and length is drawn;
  2. For greater accuracy and harmony, the arrow is drawn on a half-closed eye. Then the result will be as it was originally intended;
  3. Since an unnecessarily wide and long arrow (for evening make-up) can "eat" part of the volume of eyelashes, make-up artists recommend using false eyelashes (bunches);
  4. To prevent smudging or printing of arrows, you can dust the upper eyelids 1-2 times during the period.

From the above, it follows that the technique of correct eyeliner is a whole art, which, however, can be easily learned.

The types of arrows are very diverse and depend on the features of the eye shape, the color type of the representative of the fair half of humanity and the purpose of the application (planned event). Considering all the nuances described above, the look can be made bright and memorable.

How to properly eyeliner:

Quick Daily Makeup With Soft Arrows:

Instructions

First, decide whether the black bright line along the line of the upper eyelid will suit you - evaluate your eye shape. If they are naturally almond-shaped, then feel free to emphasize it with an attractive eyeliner. If the upper eyelid is rather heavy and slightly lowered, then this method of stretching the eyes should be discarded, as it will only emphasize your peculiarity. Use colored eyeliners only when necessary: for example, if you are going to a party and want to create a certain look. The classic (and win-win) combination is coal black.

If yours are naturally light enough, then before applying the eyeliner, they should be made a little darker with a soft brown pencil or shadow. The eyeshadow can be applied gently with a damp brush for a natural and neat look. In general, liner liner is very good!

Now let's get down to the question of choosing a liquid eyeliner. Be sure to try it in the store, draw a line on the skin and see how the line is. The brush should be thin and elastic, designed in such a way that excess eyeliner can be easily removed from it, and the line turned out to be even, clear and neat. In terms of consistency, the eyeliner should not be too fluid and liquid (otherwise it will spread over the micro-wrinkles present on any skin), but it should not be thick either. The eyeliner should dry enough, but not instantly or firmly - so that you can make some adjustments if necessary.

Now directly about the process of applying the eyeliner. If you decide to use shadows as well, then you should clearly apply and thoroughly shade them before applying the liner - since if you deem it necessary to make some additions and corrections after using liquid eyeliner, it will look extremely sloppy.

If you have never used a liquid, do not want to get a straight and perfect line, you should obviously use a little trick: armed with a thin black eyeliner, draw a line along the upper eyelid, and then, as it were, outline it with a liquid liner.

Tilt your head back slightly, pull the skin of your upper eyelid slightly (not hard, just to smooth it) and start applying the eyeliner. Near the area of the inner eyelid, you should press the liner as close to the eyelashes as possible, then the line should be made a little thicker, and the tip, on the contrary, should be thin and, as it were, tending a little upward.

Mascara should be applied strictly after applying the eyeliner, and not before - otherwise, the cilia painted at the roots can greatly interfere with the even and smooth glide of the liner.

Perfect, beautiful shape is the dream of any woman. In life, we are often ashamed of our appearance, we constantly see flaws. With the right makeup, you cannot radically change the shape of the eyes, but it is quite possible to make them visually larger.

Instructions

If you have small or narrow eyes, remember: full outline of the eyes is strictly forbidden to you. Outlining with a pencil eyes from below and above, you visually reduce eyes... If you are a lover of shooters on eyes x, draw it only on the upper lash line, and leave the lower eyelid. Also, using a pencil, you can increase eyes, if you completely circle the upper line and 1/3 of the outer corner - the lower one. Such an eyeliner will not only visually increase eyes, but will also increase the distance between eyes mi, if they are planted close.

Some people do not apply eyeliner along the lower lash line, but slightly below. With this "optical illusion", the eye expands. But this type of eyeliner is not for everybody, it is mainly used for stage makeup.

When applying makeup on the face of almost any client, stylists always draw their eyes in order to give them a more expressive look. And if earlier only pencils of different colors were used for this, now liquid eyeliner has entered the "arena". She quickly and firmly established herself in cosmetic bags not only for professional stylists, but also for ordinary women.

In order to learn how to use liquid eyeliner correctly, you must at least practice. The fact is that if you bring your eyes with such a means, you should get a clear, rich and brightly highlighted line - there should be no blunders, strokes, irregularities. This is where the main difficulty lies.

What is liquid eyeliner and how to choose it

Liquid eyeliner is a small bottle with a brush inside. In appearance, it resembles a tube of mascara. This cosmetic product is produced by many companies and it is rather difficult to choose individually, you need to know some of the nuances:
  • The base of liquid eyeliner can be alcohol and water - read this information on the label;
  • The brush should be very thin and soft - unwind the bottle and try to dip it, remove excess paint;
  • Check the expiration dates on the packaging.
Please note that if you are prone to allergies, then bringing your eyes with alcohol eyeliner is a direct road to irritation, profuse lacrimation and itching. In this case, it is better to choose a water-based product. There are manufacturers who claim to add various fruit acids, vitamins and even vegetable pomace of some kind. If you approach the choice of liquid eyeliner correctly, then you should focus only on your eyes - what color you need, how the eyes react to cosmetics and, in general, whether the liquid version of this product is right for you.

Should you use eyeliner?

Like any cosmetics, liquid eyeliner cannot be universal and suitable for absolutely all women. There are certain limitations: carefully read the list of those to whom even stylists are not advised to use liquid eyeliner:
  • Girls who wear glasses - it is better to bring up their eyes with a soft pencil and shade it;
  • Avoid liquid eyeliner and ladies wearing contact lenses - this is already a requirement of hygiene;
  • If you have convex eyes, then you should not emphasize large upper eyelids with liquid eyeliner either;
  • On the lower eyelid, never draw the arrows with such an eyeliner, only with a pencil.
But if you want to give your eyes an almond shape, visually enlarge them, or draw arrows with a curled tail, then the liquid eyeliner is exactly what you need! Such cosmetics are very successfully used when creating evening make-up, for carnival and for a theme party.

How to use liquid eyeliner?

In order to properly line your eyes with liquid eyeliner, you will have to practice. It will take some time, but then you will do it literally in one motion. Remember a few simple rules:
  • You need to apply eyeliner, just like a pencil - with a clear movement, preferably in one stroke;
  • So, close the eye, pull the outer corner a little - the upper eyelid will become absolutely smooth;
  • Dip the brush and correctly "squeeze" it on the edges of the tube - scroll it a little around its axis, pressing it against the side;
  • Now we begin to draw from the inner corner of the eye - first, only with the tip of a brush, by the middle of the eyelid, you can slightly expand the line and draw the arrow beyond the outer corner with a thin line;
  • If you want to make curled ponytails, then you should bring your eyes so that the brush is, as it were, a little flattened. You will understand this when you remember the principles of drawing on paper;
  • It is most convenient to draw arrows with liquid eyeliner "on the elbow" - that is, you focus on the elbow, and then there will be no fear that your fingers will tremble at the most inopportune moment.
In general, working with a liquid eyeliner should be called art drawing. Remember school lessons, fantasize and dream - it is with this cosmetic product that you can create any image. If you draw the arrows correctly, then you will have a clear, bright and absolutely straight line.

Keep in mind that if you get too thick a layer of paint, a line may be imprinted on the crease of the upper eyelid. And yet - if you really drew the eyeliner correctly, then it will last all day and even night, if suddenly you are going to go to a party. You do not have to constantly look in the mirror, fearing that the paint will crumble and dark circles appear under the eyes.

Stylists advise to powder the eyelid a little before applying the eyeliner. Moreover, it would be correct to do it as follows:

  • First, use an eyeshadow brush to apply the powder exactly to the place where the eyeliner is supposed to be applied;
  • Then draw an arrow and wait for the line to dry completely;
  • Now, on the drawn line, apply a little powder again;
  • Thus, it is possible to achieve not only an absolutely even layer of paint, but also to extend the period of "indelibility" of the product.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult in using liquid eyeliner. The main thing is to approach this creative process correctly, with imagination and patience. Then you will have just perfect eyes that you can use to “shoot”, attract the attention of men and feel just incomparable!

An eyeliner is a universal cosmetic product that is relevant at all times and for any type of makeup. To create a deep attractive look, skillfully emphasize the beauty of the eyes and, if necessary, correct their shape is within the power of not only professional makeup artists, but also any modern woman.

It is not difficult to bring your eyes with a pencil. But drawing thin, graceful and symmetrical arrows using liquid eyeliner is quite difficult. This requires some practical experience.

A few simple tips will help you master the subtleties of applying eyeliner and create an expressive image.

How to apply eyeliner correctly

First, a little about the application technique. You need to look up while sitting, placing your elbow on a hard, stable surface. To create a crisp line, pull the skin of the upper eyelid slightly to the side. Apply eyeliner in a continuous line, as close to the beginning of lash growth as possible. At the beginning and until about the middle of the century, the line should be thin, gradually thickening towards the end. Wait for the eyeliner to dry and open your eyes. Draw the "tail", smoothly lifting the line up and bringing it out of the outer corner of the eye by a few mm. It is important that there is no light, unpainted gap between the drawn arrow and the eyelashes.

Not everyone can draw a perfectly even contour in one motion. Makeup artists advise beginners to do it easier:

  • Method 1: first draw a line from the middle of the eyelid to the outer edge of the eye, and then from the inner corner to the middle.
  • Method 2: outline the contour with a pencil and only then apply the eyeliner.
  • Method 3: put several points on the eyelid and then connect in one line.

Arrows and eye shape

According to makeup artists, classic black arrows suit absolutely everyone. The only nuance that needs to be considered is the shape of the eyes.

With close-set eyes, you should not let the entire eyelid down completely. You should start from the middle, gradually thickening and raising the line at the end of the century.

Narrow eyes can be visually expanded and rounded by emphasizing them with a line thin at the edges and slightly thickened in the middle.

For small eyes, the eyeliner is applied in the same way, with the only difference that the arrow should be thin along the entire length. If the eyes are very small, it is best to avoid eyeliner altogether.

Wide-set eyes fail, starting from the inner corner. The line should be of medium thickness.

Round eyes must be visually extended. To do this, draw a line from the inner corner to the outer, raising it towards the temples closer to the end.

Which eyelid to fail

In classic everyday make-up, only the upper eyelid is applied; it is not recommended to apply eyeliner to the lower eyelid. Fully lined eyes look unnatural and vulgar. This option is appropriate for evening makeup and special occasions.

It is believed that the eyes, summed up from below, make the look more expressive. But here, too, there are some subtleties.

If the focus is on the lower eyelid, then it is better to use a pencil or waterproof product with a felt-tip applicator, since liquid eyeliner tends to spread. The line is drawn along the inner edge of the growth of the eyelashes at the border with the mucous membrane. It is not at all necessary to bring the entire eyelid down; you can emphasize only the outer corner of the eye. The only exception is small and narrow eyes, lower eyeliner is contraindicated for them.

The eyeliner fashion remains unchanged. Only the style and options are changing. Having masterfully mastered a brush or pencil, you will always be in trend and easily create spectacular, beautiful and fashionable makeup.

Instructions

The pencil is applied after application, but before applying mascara to the eyelashes. Pencil lines are thicker and softer. Check if the pencil is well sharpened, draw a line on the back of your hand to make sure that the wooden part of the pencil does not scratch the delicate eyelid.
Cover your eye and pull the skin of your upper eyelid from the outside to the side. This will flatten the eyelid and allow you to apply the eyeliner. Start drawing a line from the inside of the eye to the end of the eyelid. If you want to enlarge the eyes, using the eyeliner, start drawing a line from the middle of the eye. With a special soft sponge, which is usually on the side of the pencil, blend the eyeliner. If not, use the very edge of a soft sponge. Pull the lower eyelid down and apply the eyeliner to the edge of the lid mucosa. Make sure your hand is not shaking to avoid getting into your eye. Similarly, apply eyeliner to the other eye - check if the lines are symmetrical?

Liquid eyeliner can be used both before and after applying the eyeshadow. It leaves behind clearer and sharper lines. If you want to make the line softer, apply the eyeliner before the shadow, if it is sharper - after. Dip the brush into the bottle and run along the edge to remove excess paint. Hold the brush at a 45 degree angle and draw a line from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner. Try to apply the eyeliner in one stroke, as close to the growth line as possible. If she gets a little numb in between, that's good. The eyelashes will look thicker. Repeat the procedure with the other eye.

Liquid eyeliner is never applied to the mucous membrane of the lower eyelid, as it not only erodes, but can also cause irritation. The lower eyelid is liquid in the same way as the upper one, focusing on the eyelash growth line. Make sure the eyeliner is completely dry before applying eyeshadow or mascara.

In order to make the eyeliner with shadows, you will need a special flat brush. Sprinkle it with water and wipe off excess liquid with a soft cotton towel. You need a damp brush, not a wet brush. Dip the brush in the shade. If the shadows are loose, shake off the excess. Start applying the eyeliner, as if driving in the shadow along the lash line. Lines are not drawn with shadows, but they are applied in several energetic touches. Move the lower eyelid using the same technique if necessary. Spray the brush periodically and dip it in the shade again. Apply eyeliner to your other eye.

Eyeliner can solve many problems. It visually lifts the overhanging eyelid, emphasizes the beautiful cut and creates the effect of thicker and darker eyelashes. But for any look and make-up, the eyeliner should be done neatly. It's easy to learn how to paint - it only takes a few lessons.

You will need

  • - base for shadows;
  • - Eyeliner;
  • - liner;
  • - liquid eyeliner.

Instructions

Purchase makeup supplies. Beginners are better off trying to fail eyes with a soft pencil - it lays down more evenly, and if the line looks sloppy, it is easy to correct it. Liners require a more experienced hand. The most difficult thing is to apply liquid eyeliner, which gives clear arrows, on which the slightest error in the pattern is visible.

Use only quality products that have not expired. A dry felt-tip pen or a hard pencil that scratches the eyelid will never produce a straight line. It happens that the eyeliner, beautiful at first glance, dries, lays down in untidy pieces, loses its shine, etc. Don't use it - you've got a bad copy. Look for a different brand of product.

For those who are just trying their hand at the art of drawing arrows, it is better to apply the eyeliner before you put on the eyeshadow. Then, in case of failure, you do not have to remove all the makeup. After applying the shadows, the line can be freshened up with another layer of eyeliner, giving it a sharper outline.

Before makeup, degrease your eyelids by wiping them with toner and apply some light moisturizer. If you have oily skin, apply a thin layer of anti-bleed base. Powder your eyelid lightly and start with the eyeliner.
