What to make from knitted napkins. We decorate things with knitted napkins. boring ideas for decorating the interior with crocheted napkins

Lace knitted doilies, who knows how many of us can find them at home. Unique creations, which were carefully knitted by our mothers and grandmothers, and then by ourselves, lie somewhere in an inconspicuous place. Many people like to knit lace doilies, but due to the fact that they do not fit into the overall interior of the house, they put them in boxes with needlework. It's time to take out all those wipes and give them a second chance.

1. Decoration of fabric bags.

In this case, a knitted napkin acts as an appliqué. It is enough to attach the napkin with a few stitches by hand in the center of the bag or in any other place. The main thing is that the application looks concise on the product. You can buy a fabric bag separately or sew it yourself. The napkin should not be huge, otherwise the bag will look too catchy. Choose placemats made from non-natural yarn or a cotton-acrylic blend. This will extend the life of your masterpiece. Your décor on the outside of your bag will retain its shape and won't stretch, fade or fade in the wash.

This technique is suitable for decorating fabric chair covers, pillow cases, fabric wallets, cosmetic bags.

2. Decoration of greeting cards.

No holiday is complete without greeting cards. People love to give and receive as gifts. When a postcard is made by hand, it acquires additional value. I want to admire it, putting it in the most prominent place.

Now we will try, using plain materials, to make a tenderness card for a girl.

To create an original postcard using a knitted napkin, we need:

Small knitted napkin;

Scissors and PVA glue;

Decorative paper in A-4 format;

Additional decor (button, wooden heart).

Fold the decorative paper in half to form the base of the card. Trim the top and side edges as desired. You can make a square card.

We apply glue to the wrong side of the napkin and glue it in the middle of our postcard. Glue the button and the wooden heart. We connect them with glue with a napkin on a postcard. When the work dries up, you can safely give this little masterpiece to your loved ones.

3. Napkin-envelope.

Such knitted envelopes will look original in the form of wedding invitations. You need to use an openwork square-shaped napkin made of thin yarn. The more interesting the pattern on the napkin, the more chic your envelope will look. You can use the most common "grandmother's square" pattern. If you want to make the envelope large, then it is better to starch the napkin.

4. Napkin in the form of a hot stand.

Small and medium lace crocheted doilies can be used as saucers for cups. This way of serving hot drinks on the table will look vintage and make gatherings with loved ones more comfortable. It's so nice when a person thinks about various little things, laying a festive table. Looking only at the process itself, a sense of celebration comes. It is immediately clear that they were waiting for you in this house with impatience and awe.

Napkins for cups can be completely different in shape and color. If you know the favorite color of your loved one, substitute a napkin of this particular shade under his cup. This will pleasantly surprise him and make him smile. Knitted napkins are much nicer than paper ones, you want to touch them, you want to look at them, it's nice to drink tea or coffee with them.

To stiffen our lace saucers, dip them briefly in a starch solution. Dry on a flat surface.

5. Napkins on clothes.

No matter how many things we have in our closet, we are never enough. The constant desire to change, experiment with images, fabrics can push you to the fact that you will not regret your thing and decide to decorate it with the most ordinary lace doily.

To make a T-shirt with a napkin on the back, you will need:

Cotton T-shirt;

Scissors, thread in the color of a napkin, paper and a pencil for a pattern;

Sewing machine;

Napkin.

At the first stage, we make a pattern. We put our napkin on paper and circle. Cut out a circle with a diameter smaller than our napkin by 2 centimeters. We put a circle on the back of the T-shirt, circle it. We sew our napkin along the perimeter to the T-shirt so that our circled circle is in the middle of the napkin itself. Turn the T-shirt inside out. We make an incision in the fabric and carefully cut out a circle from the T-shirt along the outlined contour, without touching the napkin. The edges of the fabric can be folded up and manually hemmed, or left unstitched if the fabric is dense and does not let out arrows.

By experimenting, you can decorate summer T-shirts, skirts, jeans, summer hats with napkins.

6. Decoration of the sleep mask.

This tip will be useful for those who like to use sleep masks. You can use a napkin in the likeness of lace or in the form of an appliqué. Suitable napkins are medium or small in size. If you want to cover the entire surface of the mask, then it is better to take a large napkin. In almost any case, you need to be prepared for the fact that you have to cut off excess edges.

A sleep mask should be light and made from natural fabrics. Therefore, decor is best used with the same approach. Choose napkins made from fine cotton yarn.

There are a lot of ideas for unusual use of napkins. If you love knitting them, be sure to come up with an original way to use them. Implement crazy ideas. Change the perspective of those around you. Napkins are not only an attribute of a grandmother's house in the village. This is a real design object. Napkins can be bent, cut, glued, nailed, stretched, hung. More universal material for creativity still needs to be looked for. Take advantage of these opportunities and create, create, create.

Knitted napkin is a classic. But its use by modern masters is beyond imagination. First of all, knitted doilies fit perfectly into the vintage style, whether it is interior, home decoration, furniture, garden or clothes.

Openwork car Skoda Octavia Combi is a great decoration for the garden. Garden sculpture is located in the courtyard of the Museum of Art in Prague. It was created by Jitka Havli Kova in 2001 and is called "Victoria".

Rugs in the form of knitted napkins have already become commonplace. For their manufacture, it is better to use thick yarn such as clothesline.

Hello everyone, friends!

I have a new pillow! This is how using a napkin to decorate a pillow is not a new idea. But the source of inspiration was the one in the photo on the left. As you can see, the napkin is not just sewn on top of the cover, the fabric is cut out in the middle part. It looks so impressive. How beautifully you can decorate things in this way - and an old T-shirt, and even a curtain!

Initially, I also wanted to make a pillow like this, but still I felt sorry for cutting a new fabric, it would be better to conduct such an experiment with an old pillowcase. In addition, it is necessary that the inner cover is combined in color with the color of the pillowcase.

So I just sewed a napkin on top.

But this idea still impresses me very much, and I even got sick with the curtain and began to look for schemes suitable for it. This scheme of a large napkin, proposed by designers for a pillow, seems to me to be perfect.

And today, just a small note on how you can decorate things with your own hands, and not only old ones, but also sew new ones.

We decorate things with knitted napkins

How to decorate a pillow

We assume that we have a pillow case - old or new - it doesn’t matter. I specially bought the fabric of the pale pink color I needed and sewed a new pillowcase.

Now, how to sew a napkin:

  1. We pin the napkin with pins on the pillowcase.
  2. From the inside, draw a circle with a pencil, which will need to be cut out, departing from the edge of the napkin 2-3 cm: see that the future seam falls on a dense row, and not on an openwork one.
  3. We remove the pins, cut out the fabric.
  4. We process the edges of the circle with an overlock so that they do not crumble.
  5. We put a napkin on the cut out circle, again we chop it off with pins.
  6. Gently sew by hand with a needle and thread, first along the edge of the cut, and then along the edge of the napkin.

And my pillow without cutting out the fabric looks like this:

How to decorate a curtain

You can decorate a curtain with a napkin in the same way as a pillow, simply by sewing half of it on the bottom of the curtain.

But if you do everything exactly as in the photo, then after sewing it will be necessary to knit a few more rows of a semicircle and sew them along the edge of the curtain.

In this case, it was proposed to decorate the curtain on a narrow window, but probably a wide one can be decorated this way, only several napkins will need to be tied. How do you think it will look?
