  2. Bend the bonbonniere along the existing lines.

  3. We bend the right and left parts inward, grease them with glue and glue them to the sides.

  • peanuts in white glaze.

  1. Fold the tulle into a triangle and cut off the edge in a straight line without folds.

  2. Put the flower and peanuts inside.

How to present a bonbonniere to guests?

There are no specific rules of etiquette. However, newlyweds can choose from three options:

  • lay out the bonbonnieres in advance on the tables along with the name cards of the guests;

  • put all the bonbonnieres in a beautifully designed basket, from which each guest must take a present during the evening;

  • at the moment of parting with the guests, hand over to each one individually.

Of course, I stocked up on everything I needed to create such bonbonnieres.

Bonbonniere Is a small box for gifts, surprises and chocolates. From the French word "bonbon" - candy. I really like such cute little things, so I have many interesting options for boxes, caskets, baskets, with which I will definitely share with you in the future.

We outline the stencil on two types of paper (floral and plain blue).

We cut out every detail.

We connect the two parts, with the white side facing each other.

Carefully coat the paper with glue. I prefer to cut out two pieces and then coat and glue them well. But in some cases, you can initially glue the colored sheets, and then circle and cut out the desired part using a stencil.

With a cutter, carefully make the slots. Make sure that the edges are not "torn" and uneven.

Use small nail scissors to trim the edges.

The plain blue side will be inside the box, so I fold the edges according to this principle.

It turns out such a blank.

We connect two walls. Grasp the "tongues" and spring a little. The walls should not bend, but simply bend.

We close the bonbonniere, pull the “tongues” through the holes. The bonbonniere is ready, but in my opinion it is too laconic, so I want to decorate it a little. Bonbonnieres can be decorated and decorated in completely different ways - as your heart desires and your imagination allows.

We outline a large and smaller oval

Cut out a large white oval with curly scissors. These wonderful scissors are an indispensable tool for creating postcards, decorating boxes and creating other magic gizmos. Scissors can be bought both in specialized stores for creativity, and in simple stationery.

Glue a small oval with smooth edges in the center of a white oval with curly edges.

Write a message on the resulting cloud and stick it on the bonbonniere.

After that, you can stop with the decor, but, in my opinion, a small white bow will make the bonbonniere even more charming.

You can open the box and use a hole punch to make two holes in the "tongue", and then pass a white satin ribbon through them.

On thick paper, we print out the diagram of the future bonbonniere.
We chose the shape of the box for a long time, looked at many schemes and options. In the end, I was lucky - I came across a wonderful website for preparing for the wedding, from which I downloaded Patterns and a video course "Do-it-yourself Bonbonnieres" for free. The author of the course is Elena Govorun. The course is great, I advertise with pleasure, although I don't even know the author!

It contains patterns and fonts and video instructions for each option, you can insert any text, dates, and what is important - all bonbonnieres are printed on A4 paper.

We cut out future bonbonnieres around the perimeter and paint with the already familiar fragrant mixture of coffee, cinnamon, vanilla and water.

We lay out the patterns on a flat surface and wait for them to dry completely.

On two opposite petals, pierce the holes for the ribbons.

With the help of a ruler and some sharp object, we punched out all the folds.

It remains to put the "filling" :) Inside you can put small sweets or other surprises for guests, you can also use non-edible soap, for example, in the shape of a heart, we stopped at expensive tea with rosebuds.

We tie with two types of ribbons (satin and organza) and give them to guests with pleasure.

Bonbonnieres are small boxes or pouches in which treats are placed for guests. They came to us from France, and the name itself, of course, bears a French origin, from "bonbon" - candy or sweetness. It was traditional to put five sweets in the bonbonnieres, with which the lovers thanked the guests. The number was not chosen by chance: happiness, wealth, health, longevity and nobility. Do-it-yourself wedding bonbonnieres will be very symbolic and cute gifts.

Content options

All couples preparing for the wedding face the question of what to put inside the bonbonnieres. As already mentioned, 5 sweets were the traditional and symbolic filling of the bonbonniere. However, each country, and sometimes a family, has its own traditions. The most popular fillers for gift boxes for guests are:

  • candies;
  • cones;
  • gingerbread;
  • macaroons;
  • cupcakes;
  • dried fruits;
  • nuts;
  • chocolate;
  • biscuits;
  • lollipops;
  • coffee;
  • popcorn.

An original filler may not be an edible gift, but just something as a keepsake. Such accessories can complement or replace sweets. For example:

  • a keychain, cup or magnet with a photo of the newlyweds;
  • Handmade soap;
  • aroma candles;
  • a small calendar, you can with a photo of the spouses;
  • figurines.

Of course, the contents of the bonbonniere can be the same for all guests of the celebration, however, you can make them personalized, respectively, the contents can be selected individually for each guest. Materials for making bonbonnieres are cardboard, fabrics and tulle. When to present the bonbonnieres is the decision of the newlyweds. You can hand them over after congratulating and presenting gifts to the young couple. Ask the waiters to hand out products or place a table with treats outside the restaurant.

Decoration with flowers

Here is an example of a classic candy box in the shape of a standard rectangular box. Consider a detailed master class.

Note. The decor can be varied, it all depends on the style of the wedding and the wishes of the newlyweds.

We need:

  • white thick cardboard with A4 cuts;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • ribbon;
  • lace;
  • glue;
  • thermo gun;
  • decor.

Let's start making. According to the example shown in the photo, we draw a sheet of A4 cardboard. Cut off the part with red crosses, cut the lines marked with red circles until the lines intersect.

We bend the workpiece along the lines.

We collect the box and glue it with a thermo gun.

We form the second part, as shown in the example.

It turns out such a blank. We also glue the parts remaining in the middle.

The workpiece is ready. We try to open and close it, it should freely perform these functions. Cut the edges of the lid obliquely.

The box is ready. It remains only to decorate. To do this, take a glue stick and glue lace around the perimeter of the lid. You can continue working with a glue gun.

We make 3-6 pieces of small bows from the tape and glue them in the center of the box, placing them evenly.

Glue ready-made flower blanks on top of the bows. Such decor can be made independently from various types of ribbons. The bonbonniere is ready!

Moving on to the fabric

In order to sew a small decorative bag, it does not take a lot of money, effort and time. Let's look at an example.

We need:

  • bag material;
  • thread with a needle or sewing machine;
  • decor.

Let's start sewing. Cut out a rectangle from the fabric cut 2 times longer than the planned bonbonniere.

Fold the cut in half, connecting the upper and lower ends so that the front side is inside. Sew on the right and left. We turn it out. The bonbonniere is ready.

We decorate the bag at our discretion.

Tulle product

The easiest way to create small gifts is a tulle bonbonniere. To make it, you only need tulle, scissors, ribbons and decor, if necessary. Making a bonbonniere is very simple, even a bride who has never done anything with her own hands can handle it. Let's look at an example.

Cut the tulle into small pieces in the shape of a square. You can fold tulle in several layers. For convenience, we put it on a small bowl or cup. Put the treat in the center in the vessel. We tie the bonbonniere with a ribbon. Ready!

If you cut the corners of the prepared squares, the bonbonniere will come out more round. Also, the edges can be decorated with braid, and the bonbonnieres themselves can be decorated with beads, flowers, rhinestones and other decorative elements.

We present to your attention the ideas of making bonbonnieres with templates. The bonbonnieres provided are made of cardboard, but many ideas can be applied in practice and for sewing.

Young people can make bonbonnieres with their own hands, using available materials and without resorting to unnecessary costs. Such commemorative boxes made in the form of hearts, pieces of cake or neat bags are not just an additional decoration for the holiday. For a long time, bonbonnieres have become a must-have accessory for a wedding celebration.

The most common way to make bonbonnieres with your own hands is recognized as sewing tiny bags from fabrics that were used during the decoration of the wedding banquet hall.

It is quite simple to make such a bag, and in order not to waste time creating patterns, you can use the services of Internet sites and download ready-made drawings.

How to make a bag of tulle, satin: patterns with sizes

An original bonbonniere is not always a bright colorful box glued from cardboard or wrapping paper. Bags made of tulle or satin look very interesting.

These are the most common gift bags, but only much smaller. You can sew a bonbonniere in the form of a tulle bag according to a previously prepared pattern. The drawing will show a circle with a diameter of at least 30 cm. For each bonbonniere, you will need two such circles cut from tulle.

They need to be folded, aligning the edges and the middle. A circle of paper should be placed between the pieces of fabric. Its diameter will be 5–6 cm, and it is necessary to accurately mark the bottom of the future bonbonniere. Around the entire circumference, fasten the fabric using a needle and a thin thread. Small sweets or tiny souvenirs are placed at the bottom.

The top edge of the bag is pulled together with a satin ribbon and decorated with artificial flowers, beads or other decorative elements.

Bonbonnieres made of satin are no less attractive. To make them you will need to prepare:

  1. Pieces of fabric in the form of rectangles with sides of 22 and 11 cm. It is taken into account that 1 cm is left as a seam allowance, and one more is left for the lapel of the upper edge of the bag.
  2. Threads, a needle.
  3. Satin ribbon.
  4. Beads, rhinestones, artificial flowers, lace.

The pattern is built on a sheet of paper in a cage and transferred to thick cardboard. The fabric is folded in several layers, fastened with pins and, having attached a pattern, outlined using a chalk or a piece of soap. Now you can start cutting. As a result, several blanks for bonbonnieres are obtained at once.

The first step is to determine the front and back sides of the fabric. Then each piece is folded "face to face" and the sides are carefully swept away, not reaching the top of 2 cm, the upper edge is turned off and sewn so that there are holes for the lace or tape. Now you can thoroughly sew the sidewalls. It remains to turn out the finished product, removing the seams inward, and thread the ribbon through the lapel, which will serve as a tie.

Large beads can be put on a thin satin ribbon, and they will become an additional decoration of the product.

Some templates, which can be found and downloaded on the Internet, have points for holes where you can insert the satin ribbon.

Such a product is not only attractive, but also convenient. The bonbonniere can be carried in hand, holding by the ribbon, without fear of wrinkling or damage.
