How to make a cake without a baking dish. Paper molds for cupcakes. Foil container

You can lengthen the free edge of the nail plate using or special forms. In the first case, you have to glue a piece of plastic to the horny surface and give it the necessary contours, as well as carefully saw down the boundaries with the contact area. Forms for nail extension allow you to immediately create a smooth and inconspicuous transition using a ready-made template.

What are the forms for nail extension?

The classification of the described devices is carried out according to 2 parameters - the material of manufacture and the method of fastening. The first group includes disposable (soft) and reusable (hard) forms for nail extension. They, in turn, are also subdivided into several types.

Disposable accessories can be made from the following materials:

  • metal or polymer coated paper;
  • foil;
  • combination of metal and polymer.

Reusable molds are made of metal or Teflon, plastic is rarely used, it is too difficult to disinfect. Manicure specialists prefer disposable devices, as they allow you to perfectly fit ready-made templates to any nail plate, to create perfect contours for each client.

There are also lower (standard) and upper forms for nail extension.

The first type indicated is the backing on which the work material is laid. The disadvantage of such devices is the need for filing, grinding and polishing the surface after building.

The upper forms look like tips with a graduation scale. Their use allows you to get a completely smooth and shiny surface that does not need to be reworked.

How to use different nail forms?

The accuracy of the procedure and the aesthetics of the appearance of the extended nails depend on the attachment of the form. Therefore, it is important to be able to put them on correctly.

Disposable devices are pre-compressed into an oval shape. In this state, the forms are put on the fingers so that natural nails are within the limits of a special hole, and the template is their continuation. With the help of "ears" the lateral ridges of the finger are covered as tightly as possible, this will prevent excess material from leaking onto the skin. If necessary, the accessory can be trimmed with scissors, adjusting it to the desired contours.

For extension with reusable forms, the material is laid out on the inside of the template. First, it is attached to the natural nail and pressed tightly, after which the free edge is lengthened. After the material has dried, the mold is neatly and easily removed from the top.

How to replace nail extension forms?

If you urgently need to carry out the extension procedure, but there are no special templates and you cannot buy them, you can use dense and smooth foil. It is advisable to pre-cut blanks similar to disposable forms. It is not recommended to try to replace fixtures with paper, cellophane or oilcloth.

Today on sale there are many different containers for baking, with their help you can create different desserts. However, the prices for quality products are quite high, so many decide to make cake molds with their own hands.

We offer you to get acquainted with several popular methods for the manufacture of such devices.

Foil container

The easiest to make is the round shape.

For long-term use, it will not work, however, for one-time baking, this is the most suitable option. The advantage is that a wide variety of shapes can be created from this material.

For baking, you need to find a rigid container with a diameter of 20 cm, which will become the basis for our work. The foil should cover the entire surface of the selected dishes, all excess is cut and folded. The upper edges are additionally re-sealed, all seams must be fixed, if possible, with a stapler.

When the product is ready, it is coated with oil and used for its intended purpose.

This shape can be split or solid, for this it is enough to leave one seam uncovered.

Parchment form

Such a round form for baking any cakes is created in the same way as in the previous version. Several layers of wet parchment are applied to the metal base, which is then carefully pressed to repeat all the bends. After that, the future cake container is placed in a warm place until it dries completely. After that, the paper form is carefully separated from the metal base. In contrast to the foil method, this is a more time-consuming manufacturing method.

Plastic heart shape

For work you will need 2 empty plastic bottles of 1.5 liters, sharp scissors and a large stapler. Cut off the necks, the lower parts, and cut them lengthwise to make rectangular plates. We put them on top of each other and fix one of the short sides with a stapler.

Bend the free edges and connect in the same way. The result is a 20 cm split cake pan. It can be used to prepare desserts without baking or to squeeze out a round biscuit.

Shape and tin cans

To prepare dessert, you will need several cans, metal scissors, a ruler and pliers. A similar detachable form for making a cake with your own hands can be used reusable.

Using scissors, cut off the bottom and top of the cans. After that, the remaining containers are cut along the entire surface so that flat sheets are obtained. Each of them is cut into equal cavities 15 cm wide. Now, using pliers, the strips are connected to each other until a shape of the required size is obtained. The shape of the product can be flat for making a round cake or patterned. It is important to very carefully fasten all the edges, so that later it will be easier to remove the finished product from the handmade mold.

Cardboard shape

For work, you will need food cardboard, food paper, scissors and a stapler. First, cut out the bottom for the future shape. The rectangle must be large. Strips with a width slightly larger than the height of the future cake are cut out of paper. They are connected together until the desired size is obtained.

To fix the shape, you need to make small cuts along the bottom edge on the base. They are folded and attached to the base with a stapler. To prevent the dough from sticking, it is recommended to put parchment paper inside the resulting shape.

The variety of baking tins allows you to create a wide variety of cupcakes and pies. However, what to do if you cannot find the shape you need, or it so happened that you need to start baking now, and there are no baking dishes at hand. In addition, if the dough is dense and needs to be rolled out, then anything can be used as forms - both the rim of the glass and the baby pastes. And if the dough is liquid and is formed only during the baking process, then you will need forms that can be safely placed in the oven.

You may be surprised, but making a mold of any size and configuration is quite simple, and it does not require a lot of materials.

A tin can is a great material for creating shapes. Forms from tin are made very simply, and their variety is limited only by the flight of your imagination. A can of beer or condensed milk is perfect. In addition to a tin can, you will need metal scissors, a hammer, an awl, a block of wood, a vice, and round nose pliers. First you need to cut off the bottom and top of the can.

It is also necessary to draw a sketch of the future shape on paper in advance. Cutting off the top and bottom of the can, we cut the shape vertically, as if cutting out a tin sheet. We cut the resulting tin rectangle into several strips 2.5 cm wide. It is best to bend the edges of each strip for safety, since it is very easy to cut with uneven edges. In order to bend the edges, we place the strip in a vice so that about 0.5 cm remains above the sponges and bend the edges with a hammer and a wooden block. If you need to fasten the edges of two strips, at each edge you need to make a bend of 0.5 cm in opposite directions and thus fasten them, securing them with a hammer. When you have a tin ring, proceed to giving it the required shape, bending it according to the prepared template. For greater reliability, the joints of the strips can be processed with a soldering iron. It turns out here are such neat exclusive forms (photo 1)

Do-it-yourself baking dishes from foil are even easier to make than from tin. Of course, they are not so practical and durable, but they are perfect for a one-time baking process. The advantage of foil is that you can easily create almost any shape from it. The disadvantage is that it is best to have at least one original baking dish that will need to be used to make foil templates.
For example, in order to make molds for cupcakes, you need to measure the required diameter of the mold, cut out a circle from the foil and wrap it in a metal mold for baking a cake, then press firmly on all sides, repeating the bends of the metal mold and carefully remove. Before baking, such a form is oiled with oil like any other form.

From foil, you can make molds for Easter cakes, which are convenient in that you can adjust the desired height and width. To make such forms, take any jar, glass or other deep container. We roll out the foil and see how much is needed to completely wrap the can, cut it in width and height, taking into account that it is still necessary to wrap the bottom. Bend the upper edge and wrap the foil around the jar with an allowance for the bottom. We bend and wrap two joints tightly, it turns out a seam that needs to be bent. Press the foil to the bottom, seal and carefully remove the mold.

Similarly to the previous method, you can make forms from parchment paper, only the manufacturing process is slightly different. Two layers of wet paper are applied to the mold, which must be pressed, repeating the bends of the standard shape. This design is placed on a battery at night, and in the morning paper forms are neatly separated from metal ones.

The disadvantage of this method is that if you have only one initial form, you will be making the required amount for a long time, so the method with foil is still faster.

Easter cake is an integral part of the Easter holiday. Please note that this is not just a type of holiday baked goods, but a symbol of the resurrected Jesus Christ. They begin to bake Easter cakes on Maundy Thursday in special dishes, which can be made of various materials. Having considered all the available types and features of forms for cakes, you can choose the most suitable option for yourself.

Varieties

All forms for Easter cakes are usually divided into 2 large groups:

  • Disposable products. As the name implies, they can be used only once, since after that they become unsuitable for further use.
  • Reusable. Such products can usually be passed down from generation to generation. They are often made from high quality metal alloys that are resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. Distinguish between split forms, products with non-stick coating, as well as silicone products, which are very popular in recent years.

Disposable products, in turn, can be made from:

  • Cellulose.
  • Aluminum foil.

Each of the varieties has a number of significant advantages, which we will consider later in the article.

How to replace the standard forms for Easter cakes?

Sometimes, due to their employment or any other reasons, the hostesses forget to prepare the molds for the cakes. However, if this happens, do not be upset. There is always at least one way out of every difficult situation.

The list of possible options does not end there. Some housewives manage to bake Easter cakes even in ceramic and clay pots intended for indoor flowers and seedlings, as well as in corrugated cupcake tins. You can also use wide-necked jars made of thick heat-resistant glass for baking.

Self-made cake mold

You can easily make a cake mold from scrap materials. To do this, you will need a regular can of the desired volume, a stapler, baking paper and food foil. Next, you need to do the following:

  1. The foil is unrolled and placed on the table. Cover it with baking paper on top, and then put another layer of foil.
  2. The jar is rolled up in foil and paper so that about 7 cm remains at the bottom for the bottom of the form.
  3. The joint of the resulting pipe is fixed with a stapler.
  4. A bottom is formed from foil and fixed with a stapler.
  5. The bottom and sides of the resulting product are covered with oiled paper.

Advantages and features of paper molds

One of the most economical, convenient and practical options for baking is paper cake molds. Due to their properties, they perfectly preserve the taste of baked goods, provide the cake with a beautiful and even shape. Among their other advantages:

To bake Easter cake using a disposable paper dish, you must carry out the following simple procedure:

  1. The mold is 1/3 filled with dough, leveling its surface.
  2. Place in a warm place so that the dough rises slightly.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes at a temperature not exceeding 160 ° C.
  4. After baking, do not remove the cake from the paper form. In such forms, baked goods cool evenly and do not get damp.

Paper cake molds can be purchased at the market or in stores. They are sold both individually and as a set.

When baking Easter cake, make sure that the largest tins are in the back of the oven and the smallest tins are closer to the door.

Features of aluminum foil products

These are lightweight and handy bakeware designed for single use. The process of baking Easter cakes with their help is quite quick and easy. The baked goods are baked evenly, it turns out beautiful and tall.

A feature of the presented products is their very interesting shape. Easter cakes baked in aluminum foil are obtained in the form of a neat trapezoid. They have a narrow bottom and a wide top. Traditional Easter cakes, which can be baked using metal or paper Easter cakes, are rounded like bread, with a beautiful hat on top.

Please note that after baking, the cake must be immediately removed from a similar form, since the baked goods are damp in the aluminum foil. This is its only drawback, which looks rather insignificant against the background of the previously listed advantages. You can buy an aluminum foil product in a store or make it yourself.

Advantages and features of silicone molds

In the past few years, silicone molds for baking cakes have been at the peak of popularity among housewives. Baking in them turns out beautiful, fluffy and ruddy. Such products do not need to be oiled before use. The cake in them does not burn and does not stick to the bottom or walls, which cannot be said about traditional steel or aluminum forms.

In addition to the above, silicone products also have the following advantages:

Silicone bakeware looks like smooth and elastic rubber. They are made from medical silicone, which has the following properties:

  • non-toxicity;
  • resistance to high and low temperatures;
  • resistance to fats and acids;
  • lack of reaction with food;
  • lack of any smell.

Before the first use, it is recommended to rinse the product well in warm soapy water. Then you need to wipe it with a dry cloth and grease with a small amount of vegetable oil. Further use of oil is not required.

However, like other similar attributes for baking cakes, silicone molds have disadvantages. Since silicone is a fairly soft material, it is highly susceptible to mechanical stress. It can be easily punctured and cut with a knife. After damage, the product becomes unusable. Therefore, you should be careful while using it.

Please note that when choosing silicone molds, you should not skimp on them. Cheaper options are usually made from industrial silicone, which has a certain degree of toxicity and is often colored with bright and cheap dyes. It is not recommended to bake cakes in such forms, since the use of such baked goods in food can negatively affect health.

Advantages and features of split products

Such products outwardly resemble shapes, intended for the manufacture of biscuits. Their only difference is that they are taller and narrower.

As a rule, they are made from various metal alloys that are highly resistant to corrosion, as well as to high and low temperatures.

Do they need to be lubricated with oil before use? This question can be answered with an unequivocal "yes". Before baking, it is imperative to cover the bottom and sides with edible paper soaked in vegetable oil. This will protect the cake from sticking to the sides and sticking to it.

Among the advantages of the presented products are ease of use, as well as the ease with which you can get the cake after baking. To do this, you just need to remove the latch, move the sides apart and remove the hot cake.

With the help of a split mold, you can bake a voluminous, fluffy and airy cake. Baking retains its volume after baking, which is very important for housewives. Therefore, detachable products are very deservedly highly popular among consumers.

Non-stick coated containers

Some housewives give preference to products, with a non-stick coating. They are made from lightweight and durable metal alloys. Outwardly, they resemble a multicooker bowl. Such forms have low sides, which are covered inside with a special compound that protects the dough from burning.

I have come across this question more than once, especially if you cook according to recipes from books, there often come across forms of various lengths, for example: 25x35cm or 30x40cm, etc.
And why now buy different molds every time?
There is a cheaper and more convenient way. To do this, we need baking paper, a ruler, a pencil and a stapler. However, you can use any paper: cardboard, album and notebook sheets, and even foil.
On paper we measure the length we need (every millimeter is not important, approximately), do not forget about the edges. We bend it along the lines and fix it on the sides with a stapler and we get the shape of the desired size.
We put the resulting shape on a regular baking sheet ...
... and fill it with the prepared dough.

After cooking (for example a cake), you can check if all the staple clips are in place.

For me personally, they never go anywhere, but just in case: o).

P.S. From the first time it may seem difficult or dreary to draw centimeters, but if you adapt, then it will be very easy and quick.
Perhaps not everyone has a stationery stapler at home, then just glue it with PVA glue.

Many do not have small molds for baking muffins, cupcakes, but there is such a way out: to make molds out of baking paper. Well, let's get started:

Put a disc or any round object (depending on what size of molds you need) on a sheet of baking paper, trace it.
Cut out the circle. Fold it in half, more in half, and again.
Spread the circle and cut slightly along the folds, but not completely. Cut as much as you need the height of the molds, if you need higher molds, then cut a little more, if lower, then smaller.
Then connect the cuts, going over each other with the edges, fasten with a stapler.
Here's a mold I got. Easy and simple, and most importantly - you can bake muffins or muffins!

By the way, baking tins can be made in any size in the same way (for cake or cake, for example)
