What to sew house slippers from. patterns of cozy slippers. denim house shoes

Winter at all times was famous not only for the cold weather outside, but also for the cozy, warm atmosphere in the house. At such a time, you want to warm not only yourself, but also those who are next to you. So why not sew warm slippers for your household? In this article, you will learn several ways of how to sew fur slippers with your own hands, patterns will help you quickly figure out all the nuances, in the end - you will spend a minimum of time and money on this.

Cozy home accessory

For the work ahead, you should stock up on some materials:

  • Finished pattern - the process of making it will be described below.
  • Soft leather - will be used as an insole.
  • Fleece.
  • Decor elements are optional.

Important! Fur can be either artificial or natural.

In order to make a pattern, you can use two methods:

  • Print the finished one, then adjust it to fit your own leg or the leg of the person for whom the garment is being made.
  • Take old slippers and cut out two details along the contours - this method is much easier than the previous one.

Now you can go directly to the manufacture of the product. In order to sew slippers from fur with your own hands, to make patterns, you must follow this algorithm:

  1. Take one of the parts, cut it into two equal parts.
  2. Attach the resulting details to a sheet of paper, circle them.
  3. Now you need to measure the width of the flat part of the toe of the shoe, and then mark it with noticeable points, setting aside 40 mm from the edge. After that, you need to measure the length of the insole.
  4. Glue a rectangular piece to the resulting spout, cut out the middle in it. As a result, you will get a suitable pattern.
  5. Cut 6 main parts according to the patterns, adding 4 cm each for the allowances.
  6. Sew fur and fleece parts with allowances together so that the fur is inside the product. Then then sew on the fleece sole - there should be no allowance on it.
  7. Insert the fur blank into the fleece blank, sew, leaving space so that the product can be turned out (it is necessary that the fur is inside the sneaker).
  8. Sew up the product, sew on the leather insole.
  9. Decorate the slippers as you wish.

Ugg slippers from an old sheepskin coat

If there is an old sheepskin coat in your house that you are about to throw away, then do not rush to do this. You can give this seemingly unnecessary thing a new life, for example, sew slippers from an old sheepskin coat.

For further work you will need:

  • An old sheepskin coat.
  • Leather for the insole.
  • Ready-made patterns.
  • Strong, thick threads.
  • Decor elements.

Sewing master class

The process of their manufacture is not as complicated as it seems at first glance:

  • The first step is to build a pattern of insoles. To do this, it is enough to circle your leg or the leg of the person for whom you are sewing slippers.
  • Transfer the resulting sketch to the prepared sheepskin coat.
  • Similarly, make the side parts of home shoes.

Important! When sewing the pieces, consider the ankle width and your standard shoe size.

  • Transfer the patterns to the material of the sheepskin coat, leaving about 1.5 cm for the seams.
  • Cut out the intended blanks and start sewing them together using the prepared strong threads.
  • Decorate the finished product to your liking.

The slippers are ready!

Classic slippers

After making a pattern for the sole of the shoe and its top (this time it is simplified as much as possible), you can proceed to making slippers from fur with your own hands:

  • Cut the soles by adding 5 mm for the allowances.
  • Reduce the pattern of the gasket by 7 mm along its entire contour - this is necessary to avoid thickening of the seams.
  • Glue the leather soles together and trim all edges neatly.
  • Glue the sole along the edges with the upper part of the slippers with the seam outward, remembering to align the control marks.

Important! If the model is closed, then you need to additionally add an excess length of the part from above along the toe. If it is open, it is necessary to adjust the length of the upper part so that the leg is tightly held in the sneaker.

  • Connect the top of the product and the sole.

The product is ready!

Important! The seam can be covered with a decorative leather braid or other decorative element that suits your style. You can use a glue gun that is designed specifically for handicrafts to keep the trims well-secured.

Further words of the author
At the request of site visitors, I made a master class: DIY home slippers pattern. Indeed, the Internet does not always find the right size, for example 45, believe me it is very simple and faster than looking for the one you need on the Internet.

The first is to circle your leg on a piece of paper, it is better to do this while standing, so that the foot is completely on the floor.

2.

Correct the pattern: on the outside, straighten, connecting the heel and foot, on the inside, leave a deflection, because it will be necessary to somehow distinguish between the left and right sneakers.

3.

Mark on the bottom part where the top part will end or begin. This is 1/3 of a half of a mortar.

4.

Next, place your foot on the outlined foot and measure the length of the upper part from the line, bending around the height of the big toe. It is not necessary to make the upper part too long, it will be inconvenient to wear such slippers.

5.

Next, measure the width of the upper part from the marks to the left and right of the foot and add 2-3 cm, it depends on the density of the fabric, the thicker the fabric for sneakers, the greater this increase.

6.

Now adjusting the pattern. We have 3 and 4 positions, this is the beginning of the top part. Positions 1 and 2 mark the widest points on the foot.

7.

Fold the foot pattern in half and outline this half on a new sheet of paper. Marking points 2 and 3 and the middle of the pattern.

8.

Turn over and attach on the other side of the middle of the pattern, marking points 1 and 4

9.

Connect points 1 and 4 with a straight line, points 2 and 3 with a concave one - this is the inner part of the sneaker.

10.

Cut and circle the resulting pattern on a new sheet of paper. Fold the first option along the middle line. Mark point 3 or 4 with the cut out triangle - and make marks on the new lower part. Set aside the data from photo 4 from the toe, connect point 4 and the deferred segment, I have 13 cm. Cut at an angle, only the upper part is useful to us, you can get rid of the lower one.

11.

On a new sheet of paper, from the top point along the fold, mark the depth of the part, I have 13. And from this point to the left half of the measured width of the foot from photo 5. Fold the top points, hold with your finger and move it to the previously made mark of the width of the top part. To circle everything.

12.

Correct the upper part, put control points so that there are no distortions when connecting the upper and lower parts. So the pattern of home slippers is ready, and how to sew slippers, see this article. Phew, it's very difficult to describe such simple master classes. I hope you understand everything! I would be glad if you write about it in the comments under the article.

And these are several options for you from the vastness of the Internet for inspiration.
Cozy slippers in size, dear needlewomen to you!

Felt slippers in half an hour

Today I will tell you how to quickly sew warm felt slippers.

1.

To do this, you need natural felt about 60 x 60 cm in size, it is sold in hardware stores and is used as insulation, you can sew such slippers from colored pressed felt for handicrafts, a good sewing machine, although it is quite possible to sew by hand with an overcast seam, if you wish, then leather for the soles from abrasion.

2.

At the end of the article you will find a pattern (37 or 45 sizes with seam allowances), my son having a foot size of 42 wears such sneakers sometimes with a sock, so he does not mind this size, I hope you too. Print out the pattern, given that the top detail on the pattern is folded, it is better to cut it out separately, already unfolded. Outline the pattern with a marker, noting the joints, which are indicated by numbers. Fold the parts together and using a thick needle and strong thread in the marked places, sew a few stitches over the edge so that the parts do not move when sewing. If you want leather reinforcement, then a piece of leather must first be glued to the sole.

3.

Then, manually or on a typewriter, connect the parts, retreating from the edge by 1 cm.When sewing, the upper part must be slightly picked up for volume.

4.

Remove the threads that connected the marks. And very warm felt slippers are ready in half an hour. It remains to decorate them, for example, with buttons, pieces of leather or colored threads.

5.

Slipper pattern

Warmth for your feet, dear needlewomen!

Having a good pattern, you can sew comfortable home slippers with your own hands, because this is a necessary thing in any home.

We will work with existing fabrics, we will not buy anything, we will use material from unnecessary old things, as well as pieces of leather from worn-out handbags or even tops of boots.

In any house there are skirts, jackets, woolen coats that are a pity to throw away, but you will not wear them anymore. They usually lie in a bag somewhere in the basement. At least that's the case for me.

Even if you have worn them with pleasure for a long time, there are definitely good pieces there. Let's give unfashionable, but still very solid things a second life.

One piece of advice: if you have an old woolen sweater lying around, then it can be machine-rolled, dried, ironed - this is a great material for sewing home slippers! Fallen, it is no longer subject to shedding.

Here are basically three patterns for cutting and sewing soft cozy home slippers with your own hands.

There are several more options for soft slippers with knitting patterns, following the link you will find both crocheted and knitted, as well as varieties, for example, only with crochet trim. Slippers from an annex to an old magazine, a photo of poor quality, but I am convinced that the material is still relevant.

2 sewing patterns from the Peasant Woman

Who does not know, there were such magazines for women in Soviet times, which were called Krestyanka and Rabotnitsa. The name, let's face it, is not very good, but they were once loved by many. There were given recipes, patterns. It is a pity that there were no good color pictures, but we were glad that we have.

In general, the materials were very useful, the ideas inspired creativity. Since I recently got hold of the binders of this edition, here is something useful.

Almost according to the same pattern, you can sew both ordinary slippers (without backdrops) and fully closed slippers.

The first model is more open, the second with an original valve. Size 36-37. If you need a larger size, then increase the pattern along the entire contour. If the leg is narrow, then increase only in length.

The material will do the simplest, perhaps even one that has been gathering dust in the pantry for a long time. The upper needs corduroy, drape or soft leather. You can use thin fabrics: fold them in several layers and stitch them for density. It is better to make the sole from the leather of old boots or bags.

Inside the slippers, you can put the insole of their skin, fur, drape.

Cutting details (1 piece is for one slipper, without seam allowances, we will take it 0.5 cm):

  • Valve
  • Outsole (cut out along the inner contour of the bottom part)

Sewing order:

Cut parts from material. Process the top. Cut out a slit for the inside of the leg. We either hem the inner edge or grind it with a beautiful braid, piping. Can also be decorated with fluffy fringes.

Next, we work with the bottom part. We cut out the sole separately and glue it with moment-type glue. Now you can connect the top and bottom parts. First, we tighten the detail of the top with a thread along the outer edge. We do the same with the lower part. both details must match points from 1 to 10, which are written in circles.

They will look a little different - more gathers on the heel of the top and the bow of the bottom. Sew them off the face.

You can make a decorative seam with leather or thick colored thread, lace. Or process with braid. One slippers are ready. We proceed to the second. Just do not forget that the pattern will be turned upside down in relation to the first one.

If you are thinking of decorating the slippers with original flaps, then cut out detail 3. Finish the edge. Sew on the valve along the line 11-12. It is fastened with strings attached to the point indicated by a cross on the top detail and on the valve itself. Ties can be a continuation of the braid with which the edge is processed.

Option for a pattern from Burda

The next method of sewing slippers for the house was offered at one time by the Burda magazine. True, because of the pom-poms and a sharp, upward-looking nose, they look more like slivers. :)

The pattern is simple, for a start, you just need to measure the length of your foot - it should match the length on the diagram. Enlarge in a graphical editor to the desired width and print on a printer.

The black detail is the outsole and the red detail is the upper.

The picture below briefly shows the order of work. Light green indicates the lining - the inside, and the colored pattern - the outside.

Increase the sole and upper pattern to 28 centimeters.

Work description

  1. Cut out two tops from the material and one from felt for each sneaker. To get right and left foot shoes, cut one sole as in the pattern and flip the other to get a mirror image. Do the same with the side parts - two for the pattern, two for the inverted one. Additionally, cut a fleece top and sole for each sneaker. This will be the inner part, the lining. Do not forget the 5mm seam allowances.
  2. Fold the fabric sides face to face, chop, and then sew. Press the seams apart. Repeat for the inner side pieces (fig. 1 and 2).
  3. Fold the outer and inner sides for each slipper and chop it face to face, sew along the inner circumference (Fig. 3). Make notches on the circle with scissors, turn out, iron.
  4. Lay the lining and soles facing each other. First sew on the sole and then the seam on the heel (fig. 4).
  5. Fold the lining and sole together inside with the right sides, sew, leaving a small hole 8 cm (Fig. 5). Connect the heel suture.
  6. Turn the slippers through the hole left, then sew this hole carefully by hand (Fig. 6).
  7. Make a pompom of wool, sew on to the slippers (Fig. 7).

Slippers are comfortable indoor shoes. Unfortunately, store options very often do not satisfy with their functionality and convenience. Therefore, you have to take this business into your own hands and make your own slippers. In addition, do-it-yourself slippers can be made as a special gift to someone, although the thing is uncommon, but the "warmth" of your hands is invested in it, which may be more pleasant than an ordinary store product.
We will tell you how to make slippers with your own hands in this article, while offering you several options. Choose which one is right for you.

Slippers "Lasso Slippers" by designer Gaspard Tiné-Berès

To create slippers, you need a piece of soft felt and a long cord.

The first step is to cut out a piece of felt. The base is made according to the size of the foot, the height of the sides of the slippers to your taste is 6-7 cm or more or less.

Then cut out the instep of the foot. Probably, it is worth first doing the pattern operation on the auxiliary material, and when it suits you, cut out the felt. Well, then, just tie the parts of the slippers with a string.

That's all, actually.

Knitted slippers with your own hands

You will need perforated insoles, a piece of fabric, a hook and thread.

The insoles are applied to the fabric and cut out the inner part.

We sweep the fabric with the insole.

We knit the details of the slippers. Five air loops are recruited, and then adjusted to size.

The front of the slippers are decorated with knitted bows.

The edging is knitted ...

... and the back of the slippers.

Sew the front of the slippers to the sidewalls.

All is ready.

DIY Sunflower Slippers

As you can imagine, for such bright slippers you need felt of different colors. Prepare it. We take measurements from the legs and make a pattern.

Green felt is used to make the sole, heel, and forefoot. Yellow felt is used for the sole and for making sunflowers. Brown felt is also used to make sunflower. Then we sew the apron and the back to the sole with the welt stitch. The green sole and the yellow sole are also welded or glued.
How to make a sunflower is probably not worth telling. Everything is pretty obvious.

As you can see, we have got unusual bright slippers.

DIY Floral Ornament Slippers

We take measurements from the legs and make a pattern.

The yellow felt is used to make the outsole and forefoot. Cut out the soles of the slippers from brown felt. Sew the front part to the brown sole. Then the yellow part of the sole is sewn or glued on. And the final touch is sewing on the braid. Choose the ornament yourself.

Slippers "Roses" do it yourself

Pink fleece, pink lining, white felt, satin ribbons half a centimeter wide will be used. We take measurements from the legs and make such a pattern.

The tops of the slippers are cut out of fleece, details for the tongue are cut out of the lining fabric. The soles and edges of the slippers are cut out of white felt. In the places of the cut, we connect the parts with a pink ribbon with horizontal stitches and sew the edges of the slippers both above and below. Then we sew the top of the slipper with a satin ribbon. We glue the second layer of the sole. The top of the slippers can be decorated with some kind of satin flower.

Another option for DIY home slippers

We prepare insoles, natural leather, awl, threads, glue.

Attaching the insole to the skin, cut out two leather insoles (our skin is blue)

Then, between two leather insoles, put a foam or felt insole and fasten it with drops of glue. And then we neatly overcast the edges of the sole.

Now we make the top of the slippers. You need to know the width of the entry and the distance from the thumb to the entry point.

We cut out two leather blanks according to the pattern made.

We sew the edges of the upper parts like at the sole - in a single crochet.

The next step is stitching the parts together.

And the last step is gluing the foam sole.

In fact, there are a great many options for house slippers, we have given only a part of the possible options. Perhaps you will come up with something of your own or use an existing idea, in any case, these slippers will turn out to be special, we are sure of this.
