Agree, you can buy dollhouses in stores as much as you like. It's quick and easy, especially when funds are unlimited. But sometimes you want to give free rein to your own imagination and come up with, for example, a house for a paper doll. If you have several such dolls, then the game will become more exciting.

A little bit of nostalgia

The adult generation that grew up during the Soviet Union may recall that there used to be a rather interesting toy under the non-trivial name "Anina's apartment". This paper doll house was the ultimate dream for many girls. There was something to dream about: an ordinary paper doll that came with the kit had an apartment with real furniture. Previously, it was only necessary to cut out the walls covered with wallpaper and paintings, doors that can be opened, and blanks for furniture. Then everything was glued together and a magical immersion into the game began.

More possibilities

Today there are more opportunities to acquire such a toy. In stationery stores, everything your heart desires is sold. It's only a matter of imagination and perseverance. Let's make a house for your paper beauty too. First, let's draw it using a ruler and pencil. We will make sure that the walls, floor and ceiling are even, we will think over where the doors will be. We will also pay attention to the layout of housing for the paper ward.

How to make a paper house for paper dolls?

You can do a larger construction and donate a two-story house to your paper dolls. For stability, use cardboard from the boxes. Cut off the closing parts from one side of the box. We put the workpiece "on the edge" sideways. It turns out that the closed part will be a wall on which you need to mark out a place for a window, and even, perhaps, for a balcony.

We cut out the windows. When you need one large room, we leave everything as it is. If you need two smaller rooms, divide the box into two halves using the cut-off part that is longer. We look where the doorway will be. We draw it, and we also cut it out. Place the partition in the middle of the doll house. We fix it with tape to the wall of the cardboard housing. We make the second floor of the house from the same cardboard box. We put it on top of the previous box, and fasten the upper and lower parts together. You can use a stapler for this. We make the roof from two long cut pieces of cardboard.

Well, now it's time to make cosmetic repairs to the doll's room. It all depends on the imagination of the designer, that is, you. You can paste over the walls with self-adhesive film, hang curtains on the windows. Draw small pictures and decorate the room with these masterpieces. Nice cuts of fabric (carpets) are laid on the floor, and modular furniture can be easily created from matchboxes. In general, the game has begun.

In early childhood, one of my favorite games was paper dolls - "cutouts". The dolls were purchased and, of course, many were homemade. I really liked to draw and cut clothes for them and make houses from notebooks, where on each page there was a room, furniture was drawn, doors were cut. I wonder if anyone else made such houses?

To my great joy, my daughter also immediately fell in love with playing with paper dolls. We were lucky - dad gave a printer, so we have a whole collection of dolls - there are those from my childhood, and there are many fresh, printed and cut out ones.

And of course, one day I wanted to make a house for them from a large notebook for music. I drew something myself, for the rest I used clippings from magazines and old children's manuals, I had to print something on a printer.

So, such a boy and a girl produced by JSC "Raduga" (already old ones) live in our house.

Home starts with hallway

Here we have a shelf for shoes, a mirror (there will be more combs, etc. under it on the shelf) and a wardrobe for outerwear, the doors of which open.

Here our children came from a walk, undressed, hung their outerwear in a locker.

After a walk, they got hungry, came to the kitchen have lunch.

Everything is as it should be here: stove, cupboard, table, refrigerator.

We sat down at the table and eat. The food on the plate can be changed (for this there is a slot in the plate)

The cabinet opens, and the dishes are stored in it (in the slots). The refrigerator also opens and it is not empty: pictures with products from the catalog refrigerator are pasted in, there are slots where you can insert other products.

The "present" window (cut from the catalog), the curtain is drawn.

A sofa, a painting above it. There is a toy on the dresser. On a semi-palace. Table, slu, a vase of flowers.

A modern flat-screen TV hangs in the corner))

Time to sleep. Came to bedroom.

Nowadays it is quite fashionable to play with paper dolls, dress them up. Little fashionistas love to create stylish outfits for dolls. You can make a paper house for a little girlfriend.

How to make a paper house for paper dolls with your own hands?

There are many options for making a paper doll house. First of all, for these purposes, you can use thin cardboard or thick landscape sheets.

Instructions for making a paper house:

  • We will make housing out of shoeboxes. You need to take the box and use a cardboard sheet to divide it into two parts.
  • There will be two floors. Now you can start making windows. Draw the outline of the window and cut it out in the box.
  • Now cover the frame of the house with wallpaper or self-adhesive paper. You can make a facade like a tree.
  • Now start decorating the house inside. You can paint it with paints or glue it over with colored paper. Gift wrapping looks great.

For paper dolls, you can make a house in a notebook. It is very convenient. Moreover, the notebook takes up very little space. The template is presented below.

You can make a paper kitchen using origami technique or from matchboxes. It's simple enough.

Instructions for making a kitchen set:

  • The easiest way to make a set is from matchboxes. The interior is pulled out like a drawer in a closet.
  • Glue several matchboxes back to back. You will get a flat table top. Glue a few more boxes to it from below.
  • Optionally, you can make a hole for the microwave or a shelf for dishes.

A bedroom can consist of several pieces of furniture:

There are many options for paper doll cabinets. These are beautiful sliding wardrobes or ordinary wardrobes.

Instructions for making a volumetric cardboard cabinet:

  • Take a piece of cardboard and cut out the shape according to the diagram. Glue the seams together, you have a box.
  • Doors can now be attached to this box. They can be hinged or hinged.
  • Glue the foil on the door, this is a kind of imitation of a mirror.
  • Now attach the transverse partitions, these will be the shelves. Paint or self-adhesive the cabinet as desired.

Operating procedure:

It so happened that one of the daughters fell ill with chickenpox, and I needed to keep them busy at home. We decided to make it all together house for our dolls... They made it according to the principle: I blinded him from what was. We did not find a finished box, but there was a fairly large piece of cardboard and many small pieces of various thicknesses and textures. I thought that our house would be a small one of two rooms, but that was not the case: 2 young designers had their own thoughts about our house.

As a result, we began to do dollhouse on 3 floors for 5 rooms(later the upper floor was divided into 2 parts and 6 rooms were released).

Layout

From a large piece of cardboard, I cut out 1 piece - this is the back wall of our house and 2 side ones (see photo 1).


Then she turned back 2 side walls and began to glue the floor and ceiling (photo 2).


The house has dimensions: height - 74 cm, width - 50 cm, depth - 30 cm.

I pasted over the blank of our house with pieces of wallpaper and suitable paper (see photo 3).


Outside, the house is covered with wallpaper, the roof is 3 cm by 31 cm strips of cardboard, glued with an overlap.

Frames are glued from strips of cardboard.

Our house needed a variety of puppet, which we tried to make with our own hands from scrap materials. I glued everything by eye without preliminary drawings and patterns. I just cut off a cardboard rectangle and glued the necessary pieces to it. All furniture is painted with acrylic paint and covered with acrylic varnish.

Bedroom

So, room number 1 - bedroom... There is a lot of furniture in it, and the first thing to start with is this. It is quite easy to glue it, just look at photo 4.

I covered the cardboard blank with acrylic paint, varnished it after the paint dried, glued on a soft mattress, added several soft pillows and a bedspread.

The next pieces of furniture are a chest of drawers and a bedside table (photos 5 and 6).

The principle of their manufacture is the same - a small cardboard box to which false boxes are glued. There was also a place in the bedroom for a comfortable rocking chair (photo 7).


A large and roomy wardrobe also found its place (photo 8).

common room

Room number 2 - common room to watch TV. The TV in our house is flat - a large cardboard rectangle was covered with black acrylic paint, after drying, a suitable picture was glued and everything was covered with acrylic varnish.

The main place in this room is occupied by a spacious one, which houses a large puppet family.

The base of the sofa is a cardboard blank (photo 10).

The back and armrests are covered with paint and varnish, and the base is glued with padding polyester and fabric. The daughters already had a table - this is a wooden construction set, on which we glued a piece of cardboard and painted everything together.

On the second floor of our house there is a music lounge and a kitchen.

Living room

V music lounge there is a fireplace (photo 12).

It, unlike all our furniture, is covered with cracks. In the beginning it was covered with white acrylic paint. After it dries, a layer of craquelure medium is applied. After this layer has dried, a layer of black acrylic paint is applied. After drying, the entire product is covered with matt acrylic varnish.

Since our living room is musical, a piano was glued from 6 matchboxes (photo 13). It was immediately pasted over with colored paper, but the paper turned out to be of poor quality, and later it was painted, like all the furniture in the house. In addition, I glued 2 square beads to it - these are the pedals.

The piano chair (photo 14) is glued from cardboard, painted and decorated with a velvet cushion.


A sofa (photo 15) and an armchair (photo 16). I glued them together from cardboard and decided not to glue them over with a cloth, but just paint them with paint, my daughters gladly helped me with this. After applying varnish, they are very similar to leather.

Kitchen

Room number 4 is a kitchen, it is small but roomy. The kitchen set is a large cabinet in the shape of the letter L (photo 18).

The sink is a small plastic container for jam, and the faucet is molded from modeling mass, and a small hanging cabinet:

In the kitchen we have 2 chairs (photo 21) and a table (photo 22).

Of the little things, the dishes were glued together (photo 23).

Photo 24 shows our kitchen after applying paints and varnish.

On the top floor we have accommodated children's and toilet room.

Children's room

V children's the main place is occupied by a bunk bed (photo 25).

She has soft mattresses and pillows. There is a small table in the room (photo 26) and a chair in photo 27.

There is also a toy locker (photo 28).

In this room, I did not cut through the window, but simply glued the cardboard to the side wall. The room is decorated with a colored alphabet (cut from paper packaging for a child's toy). On photo 29 is a nursery in color.


Almost all the chandeliers in our house are glued from disposable containers, beads, rooster sticks and braid.

Only one, which is in the music room, is made of beads, wire and bead accessories.

I also glued the ladder to the house, but we still have it attached, because I'm afraid that if you glue it, it will interfere with the simultaneous play of 2 children.

Bathroom and toilet

For toilet room we needed a toilet, sink and bathtub. It was necessary to make them quickly and easily.

And I decided to just sculpt them from the mass for modeling. This is what we did later with our daughters (photo 30).

They may not be ideal, but they are made together.
Our works dried up for about a day. Next, we painted them with white acrylic paint and covered them with glossy acrylic varnish. After drying, the tank turned out to be quite heavy, then I replaced it with a lighter one (cut it out of the cork and painted it). To keep the sink firmly on the wall, I glued a bedside table under it. The bedside table was painted like all the furniture in the house. Next, I glued the bedside table to the wall and floor of the house, and then glued the sink. A faucet (molded from a sculpting mass) and beads are glued to the sink. There was no ready-made mirror, and we also have it made of cardboard.

The toilet is made of several parts - a base, rooster sticks, a cistern (made of cork), chains and beads.
All this construction is complemented by a seat - cut out of cardboard and pasted over with a plain cloth.
In photo 32, the entire dressing room is in color.


So quickly and fun from scrap materials, together with our daughters, we built our dollhouse. Such crafts always make children happy.

Let it be quite simple for now, but the daughters are quite happy with it and play together with pleasure.
