Master class "Cheerful Snowman" or DIY plywood Christmas tree toy. Snowman made of wooden saw cuts # 4 Volumetric snowmen

Tatiana Bezmenova

Every year in our group before the New Year's holiday there is a thematic exhibition of crafts made by parents, children, a teacher, as well as those made by joint efforts, the topic is different every year, we had Christmas trees and snowmen, and mittens, and just on the New Year's theme, this year was also no exception, but I decided to turn to an already familiar topic snowmen, make new ones and get carefully stored, some old works (hand does not rise to throw out)... I got all of our snowmen, looked carefully, everything seems to be quite good, in good condition, and only one snowman, made once upon a time by Viti Bocharov's dad from wood cuts, I was disappointed, I thought, well, what could happen to tree, as it turned out, the circles cracked, cracks formed, which greatly spoiled the work, and besides, the hat was lost, and the broom of our hero fell into disrepair, and in general the color was once white, turned gray and faded, I decided all this fix the matter, because snowman it is very good and compares favorably with all works, some by its strength, solidity, so to speak, fundamental. If I tweak it a little, I decided, then this snowman can please the guys for a long time, and become a real rarity of our group.

I got down to business, I found an old bottle, cut off the neck, wrapped it in foil, so a new hat is ready for snowman, broke off a twig from a broom, handed a snowman in a wooden handle, how "new" it turned out, well, and decided to fill the gap with cotton, it was possible of course to overlay the entire stand with cotton, but in my opinion it would be lost wood"view", and this is what I like most about him, that he is all of wood, starting from the stand and ending with the handles. When all the cracks were filled with cotton wool treated with PVA glue, the entire product was painted on top with white acrylic paint. This was the end of the restoration. snowman showed off at our exhibition, and then I put him in our corner of nature, the fact that he is from wood serves a good service, because it is quite heavy, the kids do not touch it, but just look with their eyes (after all, small children strive to take everything they see in toys, and this has a different purpose - to decorate and delight with their appearance)

Dear friends, I think each of you in the group will have at least one such job that you never want to part with, and many of you, just like me, fake, hem, repair your favorite craft.

I propose to make a Christmas tree toy "Cheerful Snowman". In my master class, I use 6 mm plywood, but if you are not ready to cut from plywood, you can replace it with thick cardboard, or glue a blank from several layers of thin cardboard.

Materials:

  • plywood or cardboard blank
  • acrylic paints: white, blue, orange, red, green, brown, silver, gold
  • brushes (columns, protein, synthetics) round No. 1 and 4, flat No. 8-10
  • cotton pads or a piece of foam rubber
  • cotton threads (for example, "Iris") - red and brown
  • thin crochet hook
  • scissors
  • PVA glue or "Moment"
  • pencil

Cut out parts for making a snowman

Step 1

Advice: so that the rows are even, you can first outline them with a thin line with paint or pencil.

Step 2

  1. We knit a scarf for a snowman with a thin crochet of red threads. The scarf should be about 8-10 cm long. If you are not knitting, you can make a scarf from fabric or braid.
  2. We connect the head to the torso, the torso to the legs using brown threads. In the hole on the mittens, we fasten the thread, folded in half. At a distance of 3-4 cm from the mittens, we tie a knot on the threads. We thread one thread through the hole on the snowman's body and fasten the resulting hand with a knot.
  3. You can hang a Christmas tree toy on a brown thread or on a decorative ribbon (satin, nylon, with lurex ...).
  4. Using PVA glue or "Moment" glue the "Box with gifts" on the body. We glue one mittens on the snowman's body, one on the box as if he was holding the box with his hand.
  5. We tie a scarf.

What is the symbol of a snowy winter? Of course, a snowman! Unfortunately, not all areas of our homeland are lucky with winter precipitation ... However, you can add a winter flavor to the interior and decorate the Christmas tree by making snowmen from ornamental materials.

We have prepared several interesting master classes for you and your kids.

Snowmen treats

You can also decorate the New Year's table with snowmen. Themed treats for children's parties are especially relevant. So if you are planning a big children's party, be sure to pay attention to the snowmen as a treat.

An unusual delicacy awaits guests of salty rings and white chocolate. You will need: gummy toffee, ringlet, chocolate (white and dark). Put the toffee on the parchment and put some melted chocolate in the center. Then put the rings in this place and secure with chocolate again. Fill the rings themselves with chocolate and decorate with chocolate chips (eyes, nose, mouth, buttons). Wait until the chocolate hardens and wrap the toffee scarf. Treats are very easy to remove from the parchment. All that remains is to put the snowmen on a plate!

And here are the snowmen on a stick. For cooking, you will need a sandwich cookie, white chocolate, chocolate chips and red round candies. Place the cookies on a stick and dip in chocolate. Decorate immediately with chocolate chips and red candy and send to dry. You can dry it on parchment, the chocolate will not stick or rub off.

And for the preparation of such a treat you will need: chocolate (white and dark), bread sticks, marmalade for the nose. First, dip each stick in white chocolate and press firmly against each other on parchment paper. Wait until it is completely dry. After that, dip this design in dark chocolate (for the hat), draw the eyes, mouth and put the gummy nose. Wait until it dries and you can try!

Here is such a delicious gift you can decorate as a snowman. You will need powdered sugar donuts, a plastic bag, red tape, black paper, and a marker. Donuts can be bought at the store or made yourself. Well, then everything is simple: put them in a bag, tie them up with a ribbon (like a scarf), stick on a hat and draw a muzzle. A great gift for a work colleague!

And here's a special treat - melted snowmen. Take a cookie, place chewing marshmallows (marshmallows) on it, cover with foil and put in the oven for a few minutes. The marshmallow will melt a little. Now put on the second marshmallow on top, draw a face and decorate with marmalade or sweets. Use toothpicks as pens.

Snowmen christmas balls

A snowman with your own hands can be made from Christmas balls. For such a craft, you will need either a special blank or an old Christmas tree ball. Below are several master classes for making snowmen from Christmas balls with your own hands.

To make such a snowman, you will need a ball blank, an old sock, acrylic paint (or gouache), and a marker. Cut off the sock and put it on the ball. Pour some paint inside the ball and twist the workpiece so that the paint evenly covers the walls of the ball from the inside. Tie a sock on top and draw the eyes, nose and mouth for the snowman. The snowman Christmas toy is ready!

And here is another simple option for making a Christmas tree toy in the form of a snowman with your own hands. For manufacturing, you will need a ball blank, foam balls or white beads, a marker. Pour foam or white beads into the blank to the top, close the ball and draw a face. The Christmas ball-snowman is ready!

Here's another variation on the theme of foam balls or beads. The only difference between this MK and the previous one is the decor of the ball itself, i.e. snowman. In this craft, the Snowman is additionally decorated with warm headphones. Alternatively, you can put on a hat, a cap, or a more traditional option for us - a bucket.

But about the same snowman from a Christmas ball, only artificial snow is poured into the workpiece.

And here is a great craft option for children. Kids still do not know how to draw properly, but they will definitely be able to decorate a Christmas ball with snowmen from fingerprints. For a detailed MK, see the photo below.

And this option is suitable for those who do not have a blank, but have an ordinary Christmas tree ball that is not decorated with anything.
